This drawing is so near and dear to me. It took me a while, I almost gave up a few times while drawing it, but alas, it is finnaly here. I knew I wanted to draw something detailed and wholesome, and I drew this while preparing for a picnic with my friends. I love picnics in general, they are so cozy. Samantha and Gail love picnics where they can draw and just infodump about their intrests, both of them have a hard time letting people in, despite how freindly both of them are, so they find a lot of comfort and sollace in eachother. I have a speedpaint for this art piece, I just need to find the courage to make a voiceover :)

Most people avoid Lorelai García, either because her academic achievements make her feel unreachable or because of her fascination for murder, mystery and the macabre, she can tell you all the methods there are to murder someone (don't worry she's not a killer, it's just that she has a huge interest in true crime.) But Samantha Leclair isn't most people.

Lorelai and Samantha clicked from the start. Samantha loves to hear Lorelai gush about the ideas she has for the novel she's writing as she's an aspiring writer, and Lorelai adores and is inspired by Sam's enthusiasm. They are a black cat orange cat type of friendship. Once people get to crack through Lorelai's cold demeanor, they find a sweet soul who wants to share her passion with the world.

A portrait of my oc Alexander Anderson, teacher at Rosewood University. Art has been so difficult for me lately, my problem is that I have so many ideas, but not enough skill or motivation to do them justice, perfectionism has been killing me, and the fact that I couldn't properly draw has made it difficult for me to do my college work as well. I've been struggling with my art skills for months now, questioning if I was ever a good artist, being constantly tired. So now I'm taking it slow, learning to enjoy art again, because despite all the pressure I put on myself, art is something I adore.

I'm scared but I don't want to give up, even if ever since starting college I've done mistake after mistake. College has killed a part of me and my artistic motivation, but I'm not giving up, step by step I'll make things better. My ocs and my story are very dear to me, for years I've dreamed of seeing the world the story of my characters, but this takes time, because I didn't improve enough my art in highschool, so now I pick up the broken pieces. Perfectionism is like a poison and at this point I just want to be satisfied with what I draw, no matter how good or bad it is.

Jayce Bishop is the coolest person you'll ever meet. Expert on aliens, cryptids and all things conspiracy. He loves sci-fi in general, from Star Wars to Star Trek and tabletop RPGs. He is a twich streamer who discusses his interests (and the one partially responsible for Midnight's notorious reputation, there's a reason people call him "The Boogeyman"). Jayce dreams on becoming a movie director one day, and if it wasn't obvious already, he really loves the 80s.

Jayce and Gail became friends randomly one day at the comic book shop not long after they started college. And their friendship made navigating college easier as they found out they live at the same dorm. They often visit each other, Gail helping Jayce with his streams.

Jayce is from Queens, uses he/him pronouns, is bisexual, 21 years old, 1,79 m tall and a second year student at Roundtable University.

A doodle of Gail and Sally Winfred, where I'm trying to figure out a new shading style that is more simple but still effective. This was merely a concept drawing for Sally because it doesn't reflect her personality, but hopefully the more I draw her that will change. Sally is part of the friend group consisting of Samantha, Gail and other characters that I'll introduce along the way. Sally is captain of the college volleyball team, a gamer who's a huge fan of vocaloid songs.

Gail Williams is a bit of a loser, there is no other way to put it, he is also the second protagonist of my story "Roundtable Rivals". He's shy and anxiety driven, but he is trying his best. Even though they do not think highly of themself, what makes people want to know them better is how gentle and attentive to other's needs they are. Gail is soft spoken and often keeps to himslf, but once you crack their shell you get to know a person with big dreams and ambitions, someone who will talk for hours and hours with enthusiasm about his favorite subjects.

Gail is afraid to hurt people and be hurt, that is why it takes him a long time to get confortabile to someone. However, the firends he makes at collage change his perception aboout that. Roundtable University wasn't Gail's first choice, as he wanted to become a comic book artist, an asspiration he does not give up on.Gail is eager to help Samantha and their friends uncover the mistery they found at the library, even if Gail has secrets of their own.

They are 21 years old and a second year student at Roundtable University. They stand at 1,75 m, use he/they pronouns and are transmasc and asexual. He loves drawing in a style inspired by comic books and anime, knows how to play the electric guitar and bake. They have a cat named Mămaliga (I forgot to mention they are from Romania, with a romanian mother and british father, who met at Roundtable University). Gail is a huge fan of Rock and Pop Punk music, specifically the Emo kind.

Sunlight is the people's princess, with her staff she creates portals and she can create from force field shields to reflective blasts, she can and she will help the villan change their ways. Sunlight saves the day with a smile on her face and a quip at the ready. But behind this ray of sunhine of a hero lies Samantha, who is just excited she gets to be Sunlight, fascinated by her newly acquired powers, an escapism from the stress of college and the fear surrounding the future.

Midnight however is a diffrent story, while Sunlight has just made her mark, he has been a hero for a year already. People unfortunately did not have the nicest reception to them, often dubbing him as "the Grim Reaper" because of his sychte or "The Boogeyman" due to his scary demeanor. Midnight is a one man Army with his strenght, speed and agility, on top of that, he has fangs and an enhanced sense of smell and sight. Comapred to Sunlight, they are brooding and serious, a hard shell to crack but not utterly unreachable.

I have finnaly settled on oficial design for Sunlight and Midnight, and I am quite satisfied as they finnaly managed to look like how I envisioned them to be, I returned to the knight theme for Midnight as it is the one that best suits them. College is a mess and I am quite dissapointed in my art, as I feel like I have been stagnating. I have so many art ideas, but never the time and energy to draw them.

I could've posted this on Valentine's Day, but I was so happy with this drawing that I had to post it earlier. It has to be one of the softest drawings I've done. Samantha and Gail are so dear to me. They've been through thick and thin, growing from their mistakes and people who have hurt them, leaving they are worthy of love. A part of Samantha's arc has to do with her feeling like she failed love and learning that this is not true. Samantha was always the one who spread joy, positivity made sure her friends were fine, so it hits diffrent for her to be the one who's helped, to be able to let her guard down, to be sad, worried withouth being judged. They have a love that starts from friendship, a love that they did not expect, but one that they most certainly welcome.

I did this to get a better understanding of their designs, personalities and how they contrast eachother. This was very helpful to draw since this summer I realised I need to improve the way I draw faces.

Also general update, this drawing was done a month ago and I've been struggling for a while with a shitty art burnout that I'm slowly and hopefully recovering from, in a really bad stage where I hate my art and was sometimes afraid to draw because I feel like the drawings are going to turn out bad either way. I have to work on this, because I miss drawing for the sake of drawing and not being stressed about the final result. College is stressing me out and making me even more tired as well, just scared and stressed about the future, but hopefully things will get better, hopefully.

Even though it's in development limbo, Roundtable Rivals is my biggest passion project, these characters are very near and dear to me, and it's my dream to put their story out into the world, even if like everyitng else, I stresses me out and I'm very self conscious about it, I'm silly like that :3

Sally Winfred is here to have fun (and maybe make fun of someone, who knows). Playfully and a bit rebellious, always down to party, Sally thinks everyone is a looser except for her friends, whom are more important for her than she would like to admit. Sally loves playing video games, broom racing and draws in the furry art style. Sally and Samantha became online friends in middle school, as both were making animation memes at that time. She lives with her uncle and there isn't much known about her past, and she would like to keep it that way.

Meet Samantha Leclair, protagonist of "Roundtable Rivals". A ray of sunshine, she ligthts up every place she goes to with her contagious joy and optimism. She is a curios one (maybe a little too curious for her own good). Despite her cheerful and caring attitude, she yearns for more, for adventure, for a loving concection. (Even if she considers she lost at the game of love, maybe, just maybe there is hope for her too)

Her wish for adventure does come true, but not in the way she expected it to. A secret she discovers during her night shift at her part time job at the "Books and Tea" library takes her down a rabbit hole of mysteries that leads to her becoming Sunlight, protector of magic, spark of hope for the world. Now it is up to Samantha and her friends to entangle the conundrum and save mankind from its own cruelty.

Samantha is a witch and a second year student at Roundtable University. She is 20 years old, stands at 1,63 m, is asexual and biromantic and uses she/her pronouns. She loves drawing, her style being inspired by cartoons and magical girl anime, rollerskating and fashion design, being able to sew her own clothes (Sometimes with the help of a few handful magic spells). She loves pop songs and musical soundtracks.

Yes this drawing was supposed to be finihsed until haloween, yes I only finished it yesterday, college happend. Anyway, Samantha and Gail as the demolition lovers because it was too good of an idea too pass(And because "Three cheers for sweet revenge" is my favourite Mcr album ever). I tried to make it more sombre than my usual art, like the painting of two lovers you'd see in a haunted house.

As for the story, it is still changing lots and lots because college inspers me lots. The story is going to be called "Roundtable rivals" , and all you need to know is that it takes place in college, it has magic, mystery, spies, love and existential crisis.
