Spending half his paycheck to snag tickets for a band he heard play on the radio twice was never something Eddie thought he’d do.
At least not until you burst into his trailer one day with an Appetite for Destruction cassette tape in your hand, demanding that he let you use his boombox so you could play him the band your friend had just introduced you to that morning. The two of you then spent the night listening to the entire album.
Well
what he thought would’ve been the entire album.
When track 9 came on for the first time, he saw the ways your eyes lit up at the rich and memorable guitar riff combined with the first few words that rolled off of the tongue of Axl Rose through the speakers of his cassette player.
She’s got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
When everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Every time the song ended, you reached over and rewinded the tape to the beginning of the track, leaving Eddie having the lyrics memorized within half an hour, miming the guitar riff with his hands as the two of you laid on the floor in his bedroom.
Sweet Child of Mine quickly became your favourite song, Eddie throwing it on whenever you were in the passenger seat of his van just to see the joy on your face. He later sat you down in his room and played the entire song he learned for you on his guitar. You then proceeded to climb into his lap and kiss him until his face was red, mumbling against his lips that you loved him, which just happened to be the very first time you told him that.
So when Wayne mentioned to him that Guns N’ Roses were headlining a show in Indianapolis, he called in sick to work and drove down to the arena at the crack of dawn, standing in line for four hours to get a pair of tickets.
It was worth every second though, when he picked you up from work that afternoon, leaning against the side of his van with tickets in hand.
You slipped them out from between his fingers, a smile pulling at your lips.
“What’s this?” You asked, tilting your chin down to read what was printed on the cardstock before you looked back up at him with wide eyes. “Eddie- are you serious?”
“As a heart attack, sweetheart,” he murmured and was practically body slammed into his van when you lunged into his arms with an excited squeal, squeezing all of the air from his lungs.
He could still feel the tight hold you had on him that day if he closed his eyes and thought about it hard enough.
You were even more excited when he said it would just be the two of you, as his bandmates briefly mentioned wanting to see them if they ever came to the city. Eddie never had the privilege of taking you to a concert before and was taking advantage of it, eager to have you pressed against his side the entire evening listening to your new but now shared, favourite band.
The drive to the venue was filled with your eager ramblings about how much you were looking forward to the evening, and Eddie was already over the moon at your delight.
He had been to Market Square Arena once before when he saw Iron Maiden a few years back, but was in the nosebleeds with the only tickets his uncle could afford. This time though, you were on the floor, much to your surprise when you got scanned in with a bright yellow wristband being handed to you.
Eddie guides you onto the arena’s floor, hand tucked tightly in yours. There were no seats, the entire floor acting as one big mosh pit he’s sure would form sometime throughout the night. Hoards of people already crowding at the barricade, packed in like sardines despite the amount of empty space lingering behind them.
He glances down at you to ask if you want to be closer to the front, but your eyes are wide as they scan over the crowd filled with loud, burly men with cups of beer in their hand, uncaring when the liquid splashes over the rim and onto the sticky floor. Younger people are scattered amongst the crowd as well but Eddie knows that doesn’t matter when you unintentionally falter in your step beside him.
Wordlessly, he leads you towards the side of the room where the crowd is sparser and he can lean against the wall separating the crowd from the endless rows of seats slowly being filled behind him.
“Is this alright?” He asks, pulling you to face him as he rests his lower back against the lip of the wall.
You nod. “You didn’t tell me we were on the floor!” You exclaim, bouncing on the balls of your feet and he smiles, holding your hand to his chest and dipping his chin down to kiss your knuckles.
“You saw the tickets,” he teases and you roll your eyes, glancing towards the stage. “Do you want to go and grab any merch before the show starts?”
There was a little less than an hour left before the band took stage and you’d already stopped on your way in to grab a bottle of water that Eddie insisted you have, wanting to ensure you stay hydrated throughout the night.
“I don’t want anything,” you say and he lifts his brow at you, tugging on your hand and focusing your attention back on him.
“I call bullshit.”
“I don’t!” You insist, not wanting him to spend more money on you than he already has. You know that he will insist he pays for whatever you might want, but having him here with you is more than enough. “We’re already here anyways, I don’t want to fight through the crowds.”
He saw you eyeing a t-shirt on your way into the arena and has no doubt that you’ll be changing your mind later, hopefully before everything is sold out. He would run and grab you whatever you wanted but he doesn’t trust a single person around you, other than the minimal security guards stationed in different parts of the pit.
“You know I’ll buy you whatever you want, darling,” he says with a squeeze to your hand and you smile at the fact that you were right.
“I know you will, Eds. But I don’t want anything. Unless you do?”
He lifts his shoulders in a shrug, curls brushing the leather jacket he hardly ever takes off. And as per his request, you’re adorned in one of his denim jackets, the fabric soft with wear and draping over you with the subtle scent of him left behind.
There really is nothing he loves more than seeing you in his clothes, other than you of course, and when you lean forward to curl your arms around his waist, pressing your cheek to his chest, he feels his heart beat a little faster at the reminder that you chose him out of everyone you could’ve had. He feels like the luckiest person on planet earth, with you in his arms.
You’re relaxed in his hold, surrounded by the earthy smell of his leather jacket combined with the velvety musk of his favourite cologne. Your eyes fall shut for a few breaths and Eddie’s chin comes down to rest on the top of your head, one of his palms splaying over your back with the other dragging softly down the side of your thigh.
The touch is innocent but when you hear a sudden wolf-whistle from somewhere behind you, your eyes flutter open to see a man watching the interaction with a sleazy grin on his face that makes you grimace. You pull back in time to watch Eddie lift his middle finger in the air, muttering “dickhead” under his breath as the man ignores him in favour of dragging his eyes down your figure before turning back to converse with someone standing next to him.
You’re dressed in a pair of dark skinny jeans with Eddie’s oversized jacket hanging down to your thighs, but you briefly feel as though you’re wearing nothing as you pull your arms out from around him and move to stand at his side instead, partially hidden from the crowd.
Eddie wastes no time in curling his arm around your shoulders to keep you pressed into his side as he looks down at you. “Don’t even think about him. He’s a piece of shit, yeah?”
You nod, crossing your arms over your chest as you eye the man’s back. “More like a heaping pile of shit,” you mutter and Eddie laughs, tilting his head down to press his lips to the side of your head.
“That’s my girl,” he mumbles and your chest warms with his praise, no matter that it was at the degradation of another.
You spend the next little while talking about whatever is on your mind and you eventually park yourself back in front of him, uncaring of the man from before now that a hundred more people have filled in the room behind him.
Eddie keeps one hand on you at all times, hooking a finger around one of your belt loops when you drift a little further away from him while you’re talking or dancing to the music filtering through the speakers around the room. He listens intently to everything you say but his eyes follow every man that walks past the two of you, particularly the ones that keep their gaze on you for a beat too long.
Those are the moments when he pulls you back into his chest, wrapping his arms around you and lacing his fingers together at your lower back. You don’t know why he keeps doing it but you can’t complain when he looks down at you with so much love in his eyes you feel like you could burst.
The crowd starts to get a little rowdy the closer it gets to showtime as there was no supporting act, and the next time he wraps his arms around you, he doesn’t let go. Your hands fiddle with the zipper on his jacket and his hands eventually fall to slide into the back pockets of your jeans, making your lips curl up into a smile as you speak.
“Do you think we can stop for food on the way home?” You ask and he lets out a quiet laugh.
“You’re already thinking about that?” He teases since you both ate your dinner on the drive to the city, evidenced in the paper bags littered on the floor of his van. “Of course we’ll stop somewhere. Wherever you want.”
“What a gentleman,” you quietly swoon and he smirks, enjoying the way you wrap your fingers around the ends of his hair, tugging softly on his scalp.
You part your lips to speak again but get cut off when someone yells something from the back of the room, your gaze flitting up towards the seats. You turn your head and squint slightly when a familiar voice yells again, clearer the second time.
“Eddie!”
There’s a small group of boys waving their arms above their head in the first row of balcony seating, trying desperately to get the attention of the boy wrapped around you. It’s hard to tell, but you think you recognize Gareth and a few of his other friends. Dustin is standing at the end of the row, clearly the one yelling.
“Jesus Christ,” Eddie mutters under his breath and you glance back at him with a giggle as he lifts his hand up in a brief wave, so as not to draw any more attention to the two of you. “Even when we’re alone, they’re still just
 lingering in the shadows.”
The tiny smile curling at his lips tells you that he isn’t as annoyed as he’s making himself out to be and you look back up at the stands to see Dustin beaming at the fact that he was able to spot Eddie before the show.
“I think it’s sweet,” you say as he promptly tucks his fingers back into your pocket and turns his back to the boys who were briefly spying on him. “You know how much that boy looks up to you.”
You glance up over his shoulder and wave to Dustin to hopefully satisfy him enough to keep his lingering eyes on the stage for the entire evening.
“Now this is going to be all he talks about for the next week,” he says and you smile with the shake of your head, bringing your hand to rest on his cheek.
“Don’t be so grouchy about it, baby,” you say, your thumb tracing across his bottom lip when he juts it out in an exaggerated pout before pressing a kiss to your thumbprint. “You don’t always have to be so mean and scary when they’re around.”
Your comment isn’t malicious and you’re grateful he doesn’t take it that way when he gasps and pulls your thumb between his teeth. You tug your hand away from his mouth and rest it on his chest as his brows pull together.
“I’m not always mean and scary,” he mumbles and you purse your lips, giving him a sarcastic nod. “Just
sometimes. When they deserve it. Never with you, though,” he defends as your hand slides down his chest to sit against his waist, goosebumps rising up on his arms.
You can’t help but smile at his comment, leaning into him with your eyes never leaving his. “Never with me. You buy me concert tickets and tell me I’m pretty and kiss me-”
He squeezes your bum through your jeans and you let out a laugh as your forehead presses into his chest. “Damn right I do,” he mumbles.
You pull back to say something else but all of the lights suddenly cut out and your eyes widen as the entire arena erupts into ear piercing screams.
“You ready?” Eddie leans down to ask in your ear and you nod, an eager smile tugging at your lips as you spin around in time for the opening chords of You’re Crazy to bounce around the room.
It takes an hour and the band trailing into their second encore for them to play Sweet Child of Mine, making the crowd go wild.
You feel Eddie curl his arm around your shoulder, pressing softly into your chest to hold you against him. There’s a bright smile on your face when you turn to look up at him, his face illuminated every few seconds by the spotlight that passes over the crowd and the colourful lighting streaming into the audience from the stage.
His lips pull upward in a lopsided grin as you beam up at him, his chest filling with warmth when you press a kiss to his cheek. He doesn’t let you get far, lifting his hand to your jaw, keeping your head turned and capturing your lips completely.
He kisses you until your head is spinning and you pull away with a quiet gasp to catch your breath, poorly attempting to hide the coy smile that frames your face. When he nudges you back to watch the band sing out your favourite song, his cheek comes to rest on the side of your head and you can just barely hear his voice floating into your ear, singing the words that make your heart swell in your chest.
You’ve never been as happy as you are at this moment.
His breath fans softly over your cheek, the vibration of his vocal chords buzzing across your skin when he dips down and his lips brush over your ear. The feeling sends tingles down your spine, threatening to beat out the heavy bass line that’s shaking the floor and sending vibrations up your legs.
You close your eyes as he sways you to the music, your hands clutching tightly around his where it’s resting against your stomach, his rings icy against your hot and sweaty palms. You’re overwhelmed with joy and the amount of love you feel for the boy curled around you and you open your eyes when he says something that you can’t hear over the song.
Before you can look up at him, your eyes widen as he drops his arm from around your shoulder and uses your tangled hands to spin you away from him. A squeal leaves your lips when he twists and twirls you back into his chest, your head tipping back as a loud laugh spills out of your lungs.
Eddie’s eyes are filled with complete adoration as you stumble into him, pressing your hands against his chest and biting your lip to hide your giggles. His hands grab your wrists and tug your arms to wrap around his neck, your chest pressing into his and his foot sliding between yours.
He can’t find anything to complain about when you immediately stand on your toes to kiss him for a second time, sliding one of your hands into the back of his hair and curling your fingers around the strands. He has little care in the world for who might be watching the interaction, but is still a little surprised at your not-so-subtle display of affection, especially after someone whistled at the two of you earlier in the night.
You kiss him like it’s the last thing you’ll ever do, tasting the lingering flavour of nicotine on his tongue, enjoying the way his bangs brush against your forehead and how he drags his hands down to squeeze the flesh of your bum over your jeans. His grip tightens when you moan into his lips and press your hips into his, letting yourself get lost in the moment as the song plays out like the perfect soundtrack to your love.
His lips are slightly chapped as they move over yours and you’re reluctant to pull back even when your lungs squeeze in your chest and he starts to smile against you.
Eddie is the one to pull away when you accidentally let a heavy breath escape from your lungs, and he knocks his forehead into yours, shutting his eyes as he catches his own breath.
You can’t really see him in the dark until he pulls away and catches the soft smile on your face as you sink back down onto your heels and wrap your arms around his waist, resting your cheek on his chest. He smooths his hands over your back, sitting his chin on the top of your head and hugging you tightly as you listen to the crowd scream along to the lyrics that the band leans into, Axl peeling his microphone from the stand and pointing it towards the audience.
When the song eventually trails off into its inevitable close, you don’t move from your spot around Eddie, spending the rest of the encore cuddled against him and quietly singing along to the last one you know, sandwiched between two covers.
Eddie knows that your adrenaline and excitement is worn out when you turn your head up to meet his gaze, lip jutting into a small pout as soon as Guns N’ Roses announce their final song for the night.
Already dreading the amount of traffic he’ll have to fight through to get the two of you home, he leads you towards the exit but stays for the remainder of the song so that you don’t miss a single word. After a couple of minutes, you glance up at him and nod towards the hallway behind you, content to leave even despite the music still blasting through the room.
He steers you out of the arena before the major crowds of people could clobber you from the floor and the sudden shift in volume when you make your way further away from the music leaves you feeling a little like you’re in a dream as a wave of exhaustion hits you.
It’s still busy in the winding hallway of the arena and Eddie nudges you in front of him, keeping his hands secured around your shoulders to guide you through the crowd, practically beelining towards the front door.
He almost knocks you right onto the floor when you stop abruptly in your tracks near the stand of merchandise.
“I want a shirt.”
You turn to look at him and he glances at the slowly growing line of people and the piles of shirts getting sparse, sighing through his nose. He knows he shouldn’t have listened to you when you insisted that you wanted nothing, but he can’t be mad at the hopeful look in your tired eyes.
“Really?” He asks and you nod.
He flickers his gaze up to a small group of teenagers standing in the line, huddled in a circle and paying no mind to their surroundings. As soon as the man in front of the group steps ahead in line, Eddie pushes you forward to slide discreetly in front of the teenagers, making you gasp at the sudden movement.
“Eddie-”
“Shh, s’fine,” he mumbles, not bothering to glance at the group behind him, still chattering away in blissful ignorance. “We’d be here all night and leave with nothing otherwise.”
You curl around him again, resting your chin on his chest as you look up at him.
“Tired?” He asks, bringing his hand up to your cheek and brushing your hair back when you nod.
“My hearing is all fuzzy.”
Eddie slides both of his hands to the sides of your head, brushing his thumbs over your ears. “Should’ve let me bring those earplugs I offered,” he says but you shake your head, brows dipping together.
“I wouldn’t have worn them.”
He smiles, smoothing his thumb over the wrinkle in your brow. “If I take you to any more concerts, you’re wearing them, darling.”
You grumble something under your breath that makes him laugh and you rest your cheek back on his chest, letting him shuffle you backward every time the line inches forward at a snail’s pace.
The shirt you want isn’t sold out by the time you reach the table and Eddie buys you one, getting himself one to match. Before you can leave the building, you stop in a quiet corner to peel off your jacket and throw on the t-shirt over the one you’re already wearing.
“Happy?” He asks when you look down at the Guns N’ Roses logo covering your chest and you nod.
“Yes. Thank you, Eds,” you beam, hugging him tightly before he pulls away to drape his denim jacket back over your shoulders, the fabric draping down past your hands.
“You’re welcome. Need anything else before we leave?” He checks as he swiftly does up the buttons of his jacket to keep you warm, but he’s thankful when you shake your head and take the hand he holds out for you.
He glances at his watch to see it’s a little past 11:30pm and he silently wishes that he would’ve caved and got a hotel in the city for the night.
“Can we go home now?” You ask when you finally walk out of the building and the brisk night air prickles at your face.
“Yeah, baby, we’re going home,” he says, weaving through the parking lot to where his van is parked.
He helps you into the van with his hands on your hips before getting into the driver's seat and cranking the heat, tugging his seatbelt over his chest.
“That was so much fun,” you say through a happy sigh when he pulls out of the parking space to get into the line of cars waiting to get out of the lot.
“Yeah?” He glances at you and you nod, tucking your hands between your thighs. “What was your favourite part?”
“Being with you, I think,” you reply, voice quiet as you turn to look out the window.
Eddie feels his cheeks flush as he pulls his lips to the side to hide the smile that threatens to form on his face, his hand coming down to rest on your thigh with a tiny squeeze.
You stay awake long enough for Eddie to buy you McDonalds, and happily munch on the fries in your hand, feeding him a few every couple of minutes until the carton is empty. You keep quiet conversation when he finally gets onto the highway, an hour long drive back to Hawkins ahead of him, but it only takes about twenty minutes for your words to trail off into one-word replies as the rumble of his tires against the asphalt threatens to lull you to sleep.
It’s only when you haven’t said a word in ten minutes that he looks over to see you fast asleep, his jacket now acting as a cushion between your head and the door after you pulled it off to drape over the front of you like a blanket.
He opts to keep the radio off for the remainder of the drive, finishing off your Coke to keep him awake.
When he finally pulls into the trailer park, he winces and slows down the van as the gravel road crunches loudly under his tires until he pulls up onto the grass in front of his trailer. The light is on inside and he knows that Wayne is still up, despite Eddie’s insistence that he don’t wait up for them.
You’re still asleep when he rounds the front of the van to pull your door open, unclicking your seatbelt and setting the crumpled ball of his jacket in your lap. Not wanting to wake you just to get you inside, he curls his arms around your back and under your legs and lifts you off the seat, slamming the door shut with his elbow.
Your head lulls to rest on his shoulder, a deadweight in his arms as he makes his way towards the front door which opens before he can walk up the steps, Wayne appearing in the doorway, dressed in a pair of flannel pants and a t-shirt.
“Didn’t have to wait up,” Eddie says as he climbs the steps and Wayne rolls his eyes, holding the door open as he carries you inside.
“And how do you propose you would’ve gotten the door unlocked?”
Eddie mumbles something inaudible under his breath as he kicks off his shoes.
“How was the show?” Wayne offers as he locks up behind the two of you.
“Fucking amazing,” he replies quietly. “I had the time of my life.” He glances down at your sleeping figure before briefly flicking his eyes up to his uncle. “I’ll tell you more tomorrow
 Night, Uncle Wayne.”
“Goodnight,” Wayne says with a tiny smile as Eddie spins on his heel to carry you into his bedroom.
You finally stir when Eddie is tugging your jeans down your legs to change you into something more comfortable and he glances up at you when you let out a quiet groan.
“Eddie?”
He smiles, leaning over you with his hands pressing into the bed as he presses a kiss to your cheekbone. “We’re home, sweets. I’m just getting y’out of your jeans.”
“Okay,” you mumble, mostly still asleep and not helping at all as he pulls the band shirt over your head, keeping you in the one you wore to the show.
You do eventually move so that he can get you under the covers and you peel your eyes open, squinting in the light as he gets himself ready for bed, tugging his shirt over his head and shoving his jeans to the floor to deal with tomorrow.
“Hey, Eds?” You murmur from your spot in his bed and he turns to you, raising an eyebrow as he slides his rings from his fingers to drop onto his nightstand. “Thank you for taking me tonight. It was the best night of my life.”
He smirks, softly shaking his head as he flicks off the light before climbing into bed beside you and pulling you into his chest.
“I’m glad that you had such a good time. Tell me all about it in the morning, yeah?”
You nod with a hum, burying your face into his chest. “Love you lots, Eddie.”
“I love you too, sweetheart.”

i'm not good at writing fluff :( , valentines day, a little kiss, that's it

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You drove to school alone this Valentine’s Day, arriving just on time after waking up later than you should have. By the time you reached the break room, it was practically empty, with just a few of your colleagues milling about, savouring the last few minutes before the children arrived.
You approached the counter to pour your morning coffee but, beside the empty pot was your favourite mug. The lid was on to keep the drink warm, just as you always have it, and a note with your name and a smiling face was stuck to its side. You smiled fondly at the gesture, taking a sip gladly to taste the beverage concocted just to your liking. Today was already off to a good start.

You’d given in to the holiday with heart-shaped decorations hanging from the walls; your class had practically forced you into making them, and the afternoon prior was dedicated to cutting out pink and red paper and glueing strips together into chains. Today, by popular request, you spent the morning decorating cards. By your instruction, the children created messages of friendship for the person sitting beside them with a painfully large amount of glitter spread across the desks. The sparkling pinks and purples will stay cemented into the carpet for eternity, you’re sure.
Janine made her rounds through the corridors with her usual grin and a wicker basket full of cardstock trimmed into rounded hearts. Somehow, she’d managed to personalise enough messages for all of the children in the second and third grades. Apparently, she had aimed to conquer the whole school, but after getting cramp more than once, she settled on her two favourite grades instead.
“Hi, everyone,” she smiled when she walked in, earning a few waves from the class whilst they focussed on their work. You’d tricked them into working on the curriculum by making each and every task painfully Valentine’s themed. “Cupid comes bearing gifts. I’m Cupid, by the way, I didn’t just let some random guy bring candies for the kids,” she added, making you laugh just as her mumblings often do.
“Everybody show Cupid your good manners,” you spoke as Janine placed her gifts in front of each student. She was rewarded with polite ‘thank yous’ from your whole class until her basket was finally emptied besides one more token of adoration.
“You have a secret admirer,” she smiled excitedly when she approached you, handing you a chocolate rose and a sealed envelope. You felt your cheeks heat up at the attention and the precise, cursive lettering of your name in golden pen.
You waited for the class to settle down again before you peeled it open, pulling out the simple square of white card inside. It was brief and vague but enough to make your heart thump against your chest and your stomach swarm with an excitement that sent a shiver through you. The sender merely wished you a good day with a clumsily scribbled bouquet of flowers - it was beyond endearing.

Your eyes met Melissa’s for the first time of the day when you walked into the breakroom for your lunch; she greeted you with a smile that made you swoon and a wink before she showed you the lunch she’d brought in for you. It was years ago that she began bringing you homemade meals, but the sweet novelty of it could never begin to fade away; each forkful was a hug from the older woman, a piece of her to show she cares. From the very first time she pushed a tupperware container your way, you’ve always pondered the fact that - in those moments - her lips taste just the same as yours.
Unfortunately for you, the seat beside the woman who harboured your affections was not free. Instead, you settled on the one across from her. You settled on fleeting glances, selfishly wanting her attention to be on you whenever she spoke, fidgeting in your seat just so she would glance in your direction.
Wordlessly, she slid a packet of your favourite candy your way once you’d licked your fork clean of your final bite - nobody mentioned the soft fondness of her actions.
She walked with you back to your class just as she always does. Considering her classroom is directly opposite yours, it’s not much of a detour, but you appreciate the beating of your heart it causes to quicken.
“Heard you got a secret admirer,” she winked with a bump of her shoulder into yours, you giggled bashfully and almost hid your face from her gaze - you’d have shied away if her eyes weren’t so captivating. “Any idea who it is?”
“Not sure,” you answered. “But I think I know who I want it to be.”
There was a takeout cup of hot chocolate from your favourite coffee shop down the street sitting next to a Valentine-themed cupcake on your desk. You wondered how it got there while happily laughing at the sight. This secret admirer was going above and beyond.

By the time you were able to leave for the day, the majority of your colleagues had already uttered a goodbye as they passed your room. After a meeting with a parent, your late departure left your car with empty spaces around it - you didn’t recognise any of the vehicles still there, and you wondered if they were all getting ready for dates right now.
As you approached your car with your keys in hand, you saw the distinct shape of a bunch of flowers tucked beneath the windscreen wipers. The time and attention spent on you made your head swim gleefully, and you couldn’t help but grin at the note - your cheeks were beginning to hurt. That same writing that made your name look more beautiful than you could’ve imagined, gave the simple instruction of a location and time. You had to hurry to make sure to be ready for 6 PM.

The restaurant was filled with couples; you could tell that some were on first dates with awkward conversations and fleeting eye contact. You weaved through the nauseatingly large amount of patrons to where you saw familiar auburn hair. The lightly curled locks fell down her back, sitting against the green satin of her dress; you could see her leg crossed over the other and the finger that trailed along the stem of a wine glass.
You could hear the thrumming of your pulse as you grew nearer.
Your hand grazed the skin of her shoulder once you reached her, and Melissa peered up at you from where she sat, grazing her sights over your figure appreciatively.
“Hi, hon,” she breathed. “Surprised?”
“So surprised,” you giggled, feeling her grin against your lips when you leaned down to greet her with a kiss.
“You look gorgeous, babe,” she added whilst you sat down. Your cheeks burned beneath her compliment.
“So do you,” you returned. “Everyone in here must be jealous that I’m on a date with a Phillie eleven.”
“Flatterer,” she scoffed. You basked in the pink tinting of her cheeks and watched the way her tongue slid over her bottom lip as she looked at you.
“I’ve gotta say,” you started teasingly, watching her over the rim of your glass as you took a sip. “You could’ve given me a challenge.”
“Hm?” she smirked with a tilt of her head.
“Well, it’s not difficult to guess who your secret admirer is when you’ve been married to them for two years.”

When the doorbell rings in the middle of the day, shortly after lunch, you’re surprised. People don’t visit you, and you’re not expecting any deliveries today, but it also wouldn’t be the first time your mom bought you something without warning you, so you pause your work and make your way to the front door.
By the time you open the door, there’s no one there.
But, sitting next to your door is a massive bouquet of red roses and a pink envelope wrapped to the vase with a white ribbon.
And you just about melt on the spot.
Obviously, the flowers are from Scorch. Who else would send you flowers other than your long-term boyfriend?
A bit disappointing that he doesn’t know what your favorite flowers are, but it’s the thought that counts, right? You pick up the flower arrangement and bring it into your home, absently kicking the door shut behind you, and settle the vase on your kitchen table.
Gently, you adjust the flowers so that they don’t look squished, and you pull the envelope off the vase. You slide your finger under the seal of the envelope and pull the simple card out.
It’s really simple. Pale pink card stock with a flower design indented on the cardstock. And the text is written in a neat if not flowery, calligraphy. It’s pretty.
Not really your style, but pretty all the same.
You lean against the counter and read the note. It’s, quite possibly, the sappiest love note you’ve ever read in your life. It’s also the only love note you’ve ever received in your life, so maybe it’s always like this?
However, Scorch does compare your eyes to stars three times and your lips to the petals of a flower twice
which is weird. And not at all like Scorch.
He’s never, in the year you’ve been dating him, compared you to nature. He doesn’t compare you to anything, as he claims that it wouldn’t be a fair comparison to the other things.
For a moment, just a moment, you think that this can’t possibly be from Scorch. But then you push the idea to the side.
There isn’t another person alive who would buy you flowers, and the weirdness is probably just a template that the company has for hapless boyfriends and husbands.
You wouldn’t be surprised, based on some of the gifts your father has gifted your mother over the years.
So you push the worry to the side and set the card on the table next to the flowers, and then you return to your office to go back to work. You need to finish all of your work so you can spend the next ten days with Scorch without interruption.
Several hours later, as you send the final email out to your supervisor, and then mark yourself on vacation for the next week or so, you hear the familiar sound of Scorch moving near the front door.
His armor is heavy, and he can’t help but make a lot of noise. “I’m home,” He calls from the front hallway.
“Welcome back,” You roll your chair back to push your office door open, “I’m almost done here, and then we can decide where we’re going for dinner.”
A moment later, Scorch appears at the door to your office, a crooked smile on his handsome face. He’s only wearing his blacks, and you can’t help the lovestruck sigh when you see him. He really is unfairly gorgeous.
His grin widens at your sigh, but he doesn’t tease you about it. Well, not yet at least.
“Should I go and dig out the wheel of restaurants?” He asks lightly as he steps into your office properly and wraps his arms around you from behind, taking a moment to press a light kiss against the side of your neck.
You reach up and bury your fingers in his messy curls, “If you want. We both know that’s easier than trying to decide what restaurant ourselves.” You tilt your head back and beam at him, “You have helmet hair, Scorch.”
He hums, and kisses your cheek quickly, “That would be because I was wearing my helmet all day.”
“Aww, you poor thing,” You tease lightly.
“It’s fine. I spent all day watching tooka videos
and then Boss caught me and beat my ass.”
You grin at him, “Serves you right.”
“Heatless, babe.” He kisses you three times in quick succession, “Anyway, I need to shower before we go anywhere. I stink.”
“Well, I didn’t want to say anything—” You squeak when he prods your side with a strong finger.
He hugs you tightly for a moment, and then releases you, “Finish up your work, pretty girl. I won’t be long.”
“I’m almost done. Promise.” You reply, a tiny smile lifting your lips as he takes your hand in his and brings your knuckles to his lips to press a light kiss there.
Scorch then squeezes your hand and releases you so he can go shower.
Without his armor on, you can’t hear him move through your shared apartment, though when you don’t hear the shower click on in the other room after several minutes, you turn in your chair and frown at the door.
“Scorch?”
There’s no reply so you stand and poke your head into the hallway. From your office door, you can see him standing in front of the kitchen table, but his back is towards you.
“I thought you were going to shower?” You ask as you approach him.
He turns his head to look at you, and there’s a frown on his face, “Who’re the flowers from?”
You blink at him, twice. “Well, I thought they were from you, but now I’m not so sure.”
“Babe, I wouldn’t buy you roses. You hate roses.”
You tilt your head, “Did I
tell you that?”
“You didn’t have to. I’m an observant guy.” Scorch picks the note up and reads it, his nose scrunching up in distaste, “Whoever wrote this doesn’t know you at all.” He announces after a moment.
“Why do you say that?” While having a secret admirer is somewhat concerning, you’re slightly more amused with how Scorch is treating it.
“He mentioned your eyes and your lips, but didn’t once mention your amazing personality.”
A laugh slips from your lips, “Yes. Because it’s my personality that caught your attention first.”
Scorch tosses the note in the trash, and then turns so he can pull you into his arms, “Well, babe, if the note mentioned your amazing legs or ass I’d have to hunt this admirer down and beat him to death.”
“Ooh, my hero~”
He grins at you and his hands slide down your body, making you squeak, “I changed my mind.” Scorch announced, “My shower can wait an hour or so.”
You squeal when he smoothly drops his hands to your thighs and lifts you as if you weigh nothing, and you fling your arms around his neck, “Scorch!”
“Mm, love it when you say my name like that—” Scorch replies as he leans in and bites down on your neck, and you know that he’s intent on leaving a bunch of visible marks on you.
“I’m still working—” You try.
He pauses and glances at the chrono on the wall. A few moments later, the chrono chimes 5 pm, and he grins at you, “Now you’re not. Come on, sweetling. Let me remind you why you picked me.”
“Seriously, are you jealous of a flower bouquet and a card?”
“A love declaration, baby. Not just a card. And, when I’m finished with you, you won’t care about either.” Scorch says confidently, as he carries you into the bedroom and drops you on the bed.
Tumblr media
Your secret admirer shows up on your front step several hours later, only to get sent packing when Scorch opens the door shirtless, and covered in scratch marks and hickies.

Book time! I want to post all my new stuff but don't want to flood people with them, so I waited a bit after my last one to put this one up, but I can't wait any longer to show it off. This is The Rose and the Serpent, a Good Omens Beauty and the Beast AU by Atalan. I know there's some kind of fairy tale fic event going on in the fandom right now but this one is from a few years back, so if that's your thing and you're impatient go check this one out.
I'm totally in love with how this one came out. It's like, if you had a cartoon character who's reading a plot-relevant book of fairy tales, this is the book you'd draw for them. Belle has this book. It's perfect for its niche. The front cover is burgundy cardstock with brown faux leather on the spine, and antique-brass-finish photo corners to protect the edges. The rose was done with gold embossing powder and a stamp, since I can't draw and those lines are too fine for the cricut. The batch of books I'm working through now is my first time experimenting with legal quarto size (legal size paper (8.5x14 in.) folded twice) and everyone who raved about it is right. It's very satisfying to hold and was a joy to make.
Check out the rest of my photos under the cut!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Close up of the photo corners and a view of the spine. I've never used photo corners before, partly because I don't ever see them on commercial books, but they just felt right for this project so I felt it was time to experiment. I didn't glue them down, just clamped them closed with jewelry pliers, and I was worried they wouldn't stay in place but they seem to be fine. Cardstock isn't a very hard-wearing material, and if it has a white core it tends to show at the corners of the book where it rubs against things, even under light handling. Hopefully the metal corners will protect it.
The spine title came out well. I was worried about matching the color with the embossing powder color on the front, but they came out fine and I'm very pleased.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Top view, with handmade red-and-green endbands and a green ribbon bookmark. Both of these were chosen to match the absolutely gorgeous endpapers with this mosaic flower pattern. They're chiyogami from ChibiJay and they're stunning; the photos don't do them justice. I bought them because they remind me of the stained glass windows in the Disney Beauty and the Beast. CJ has this great deal where you can make custom paper packs in pre-cut sizes for a discounted price, and they've got hundreds of patterns. This isn't sponsored, by the way, I just think they're awesome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some photos of the title page and first page of the story. I'm experimenting with DaFont some more. The one on the title page and for the chapter numbers is called Christmas Card, and the drop capital is called Floral Capitals, both free to use for personal projects. I've only done drop caps on a couple of projects, because for purely personal aesthetic reasons I don't like when they sink into the paragraph, but if I can mimic them by just making the first letter huge? Love that. Defintely going to keep doing that. Can never get the kerning to look right when I do it the regular way, but with this it isn't an issue.
The graphics on the title page are re-used from an older project, but they were so perfect for this one that I just went with it.
As I said above, this is my first legal quarto but it for sure won't be my last! There are three more in this batch, and they're so pleasant to hold that I'll for sure be making more before too long.

Now that the Sisters of Battle codex is on the way. And it looks good I'm suddenly very interested in working on my Sisters of Battle army. Going to use a shrunk down version of the guy above for my Paragon Warsuits. Morven Vahl proxy may have a large crucifix or spear or something badass. Idk. In the past I've toyed around with warsuits being cavalry.
Really been wanting to take my Sisters in a grimdark, conversion heavy direction, taking influence from military, gothic, religious, and Blanch type aesthetics. So I'll need to do some physical kitbashing to make these ladies really sing. Rows of skulls on chain, candles, purity seals, rose thorns, wards, holy texts and banners, clusters of wire peaking out from exposed bits of machinery, hell even a Heretic crucified on the armour are all things I think I'll do. This sort of vibe is a big inspiration
Here's an example of something close to the vibe I'm going for. Still not finished but still pretty proud of this one tbh. Though I wish the red was more vibrant >.> but wow. I really like how it came out. Think I ended up painting the windows orange.
Tumblr media
Also looking at basing my ladies better. Thinking some specially designed dirt products will make it look more natural, and probably some ready made tile bases that I can fill in with debris.
Tumblr media
Here's an example of my basing now. The stonework I spent a long time making out of cardstock kind of blends in, and while this model is better in terms of contrast, a lot of my infantry is somewhat flat and dark so it needs some lightening.
I just hope I won't be chained to my past. I want to create something new.

Bubbly
Tumblr media
(not my gif!)
Shawn Michaels x Fem!Reader one shot
[Also available on Archive of Our Own!]
Word count: 964
Tags: Romantic gestures, champagne, the heart shaped hot tub!, Loverboy Shawn
Summary:
Prompt: Bubbly | A romantic night with you and Shawn.
Author’s note: Prompt from @fluffyfebruary! I’ll be posting various stories using their prompts throughout the month.
Shawn sure enjoyed playing up that loverboy persona of his.
You were awoken that morning with a loud knock on your door. Rushing down the steps to see what the problem was, you flung open the door to be greeted by a gigantic bouquet of blood red roses. Your eyes widened at the delivery boy who struggled under the weight of the beautiful flowers. The note was printed on hefty cardstock with gold foil surrounding the edges. Shawn certainly was sparing no expense on this night of romance.
There won't be any heartbreak at the hotel tonight.
-S
You rolled your eyes playfully at the card. The rest of your day was a blur as you tried to keep focus on the errands around the house. Shawn had decided to call you a couple of times while you took care of your chores in an attempt to distract you. You fell for it after the second call, leaning against the wall to hear his smooth voice tell you how much he missed you. A fuzziness built at the way he called you honey, the word just skirting the edge of lewdness. After the call ended you ignored the constant ringing that followed it up. Shawn loved to play his little games with you.
As the night approached you, butterflies fluttered in your stomach. A car would be coming to drop you off at a hotel on the outskirts of town. You were completely awash in Shawn's all encompassing feelings of passionate love for you, and you for him. Memories of past rendezvous left you in an intoxicating daze while you applied your makeup and chose your outfit. When you heard the car horn beep outside, you looked down at the dress you wore in confusion. In your zoned out state you didn't even realize what you grabbed out of your closet! It was sexier than you were going for, but as you left the house you figured it fit the mood of the night better than whatever your original plan would be.
Your nerves were completely bunched up at the sight of the hotel coming closer and closer. The building was relatively inconspicuous, causing you to become more alert. Shawn never did anything on the small scale and this place felt absolutely miniscule. It was tucked away amongst the beginnings of a forest that seemed to go on for miles. Shawn met you at the door of the lobby dressed in all black, his blond hair waving down his shoulders in contrast. You couldn't help but to run into his arms and squeal at seeing him again. It just wasn't the same seeing him on TV bouncing around into the ring like an overgrown golden retriever puppy. Your friends were getting sick of the way you grabbed them in excitement every time Shawn won a match. He called you like clockwork after each show no matter how it ended. When he won you showered him with compliments, and when he lost you babied him beyond all belief. Sometimes you swore you could hear him pouting over the phone, his bottom lip poking out just the slightest. Now that you were back in his arms, he squeezed you as tight as he could without hurting you.
"Miss me, honey?"
You nodded against his chest as he rested his hand against the back of your neck. "You know I did."
He hummed and began to move his hand up and down your back lovingly. With a deep breath he led you to the shiny gold doors of the elevator. The exterior of the building was very misleading to what was on offer on the inside. The gold and marble patterns covered every free inch of space to the point of making your eyes hurt. Shawn's hands roamed all over your body in the short time it took the elevator to reach the top floor of the hotel. You melted under his restrained touch. The flowers were gorgeous and the hotel was campy fun, but you would've been happy in a rundown old house as long as you were spending time with Shawn.
Entering your room, your smile spread so wide across your face that your lips started to hurt.
Hearts, hearts, hearts

Everywhere!
The vanity mirror, the bed, even the large window facing out into the trees was heart shaped. The real piÚce de résistance of the suite was the huge, candy red heart bathtub in the center. Two glasses of champagne bubbled away by the edge of the tub as Shawn reached down to make sure the water was still warm. He seemed especially proud of the massive amount of bubbly foam that filled the heart. Shawn scooped up some of the bubbles and blew them out at you playfully. His clothes flew off of him with a grace that took quite a bit of control. You could see the effort he exerted painted plainly across his face and your heart floated. Even in his excitement he still wanted to look as sexy as possible for you.
Your own clothes fell beside you slowly. You took even longer to actually get in the tub for Shawn's benefit. There was something about the look in his eyes that made you feel like you were on top of the world. His soapy hand held onto the other champagne glass carefully to hand it over to you. You took a sip of it and floated over to him to plant a kiss on his lips that felt exceptionally chaste  in contrast to the lovey dovey theming surrounding you.
"I hope there's more of that coming." Your golden retriever of a man winked a blue eye at you, the charm incapable of being turned off.
"That and more, sweetheart."

Gilbert von Obsidian - Shadow Box
Tumblr media
Let’s kick things off with Gilbert. Black and red suits him. Don’t you think?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
About this box:
I upcycled this from one of those money saver piggy banks "Life is a Journey", that I never used LOL.
Following his color-theme, the box was repainted black and gold-leading.
Everything in the box includes something from his route. (Spoilers). I used several layers of paint, cardstock and various inks and paint mediums to achieve the back drop.
The miniature books, letter, his cane, and the rose are all handmade products. The rose is actually made from seashells. I live near beaches, so I often go shelling and use these in my crafts. The can is made of modeling wire, aluminum foil and clay. Books are from card board.
It's difficult to see, but there is an antique clock key that I picked up years ago from an antique shop. There is a significant black key in his route, so I repainted it and used a lacquer to give a metallic finish.
Poison is often referenced in his events and even in his route, so I simply painted a small vial that I had on hand, and stained some scrapbook paper for that 'old label' look.
This was my first otome craft project and it took weeks because of all the detailed work. This was also my first attempt at mixed media and I'm happy with the results. I have lots ideas and projects that I'm currently working on, but I started with Gil simply because he is the LOML.

I still need to glue my spine but I’m thinking about cover design now. I think the rose cardstock is too thick to use as a cover. You can see where I did a test fold at the bottom. I couldn’t see white paper coming through from cracking but it isn’t a very clean fold. Kinda bumpy. I might use the red paper, which is thinner, and try to cut out the rose and use it as an overlay and just fold over a couple of side pieces to make a wrap. It’s all very experimental though lol

Red Petals- Teaser
Everyday you check your locker there’s red petals and a letter. Never signed , you never know where it’s coming from. Life is weird. Then comes the disappearances.
warnings: yandere!taki, fem!reader, highschool au, blood, death, gore, knives and guns, (all those silly little things), kissing, kidnapping, death of minors, stockholm syndrome.
As the bell rung, you hopped up from your desk and ran out of the door. Today, Niki had set up a picnic date for the two of you. He had bought chocolate covered oreos, strawberries, and some peanut butter fudge. He also bought a bag of your favorite chips and a teddy bear for you. But you didn’t know that yet.
So when you went to put your books in your locker, the last thing you expected was to see a bunch of rose petals on your math book. The first thing your brain assumed was that Niki had given you a gift as a prequel to your date. You giggled to yourself, placing your books on top of the petals. As you did, a note fell out of your locker. You picked it up, seeing a kiss on the back and smiling to yourself thinking about how Niki had to put lipstick on to make this. Little did you know he was smiling too. He loves your smile, the way your eyes slightly close. Just adorable.
Watching you from around the corner, how you open the note and your eyes scan the tiny cardstock paper.
Dear ______,
I love you. You are the best thing to ever happen to me. I don’t know what I would do without you. Meet me in the old art room at 3:30 p.m Monday. Come alone <3
X.O., your true love.
He watched as you pocketed the note and shut your locker in confusion. If you were still the same old girl he knew, you would show up.

If you're taking ficlet requests at the moment, Copia giving Dew a Valentine's card or something similar and Dew is just. "What the fuck IS this?"
Happy Valentines Day! No smut. Just Copia being Copia and Dew being confused.
Copia doesn't say anything when he presses the envelope into Dew's hands. Instead, he just blushes, the tips of his ears going pink as Dew looks down at the envelope in his hands and cocks an eyebrow. The paper is thick, textured. It's a creamy blush color, subtle. The contents are thin there's no weight to it at all. But the way Copia is looking at him feels heavy. There's nervous excitement coming off of him in waves. Dew can smell it, sweet and bitter all at once. Copia moves a hand in a way that seems like he's telling Dew to get on with it.
Dew looks at the envelope and them up at him. Is he missing something? He has no idea why Copia's giving him anything. They do gift exchanges on holidays, of course. And birthdays--well summoning days for Ghouls. Dew has two of them, much to everyone else's chagrin, but neither of them are in February. "What--"
"Just open the card, Dewdrop."
The paper smells like raspberries, roses, pink down to its atoms. It has Dew's name across the front, written in a loopy script that Dew doesn't think is Copia's but how is he supposed to know? It's all very fancy. Dew runs his fingers over the paper, feeling the scratch of it under his thumbs. "Is this a wedding invitation or something? Are you and Mountain finally tying the knot?" Dew jokes. Copia gives him a deadpan glare. "Dewdrop." "Fine," Dew rolls his eyes and turns the envelope over his hands. He slides a pitch dark claw under the flap and breaks the seal. Copia's mouth breaks into a small smile. It makes Dew feel like he's being hunted. He slips the card out of the envelope. The first thing he notices is the sheer amount of silver and pink glitter. It's abrasive under his fingers. It shakes off of the card and onto the floor, onto his skin, onto his clothes. And then he sees it. The whole card is aggressively pink. Covered in glitter hearts. It doesn't open, it's just one single-sided piece of hot-pink cardstock. It says be mine in that same loopy script. Dew scrunches up his nose and tries to rub the glitter off of his fingers. He can't tell if Copia made it or if it came this way, but it doesn't matter, because he doesn't know what the fuck it is. "What the fuck is this?" he asks. "It's Valentine's Day," Copia says cheerfully. He claps his hands together excitedly as Dew looks between him and the card in growing confusion. "It's what?" "Valentine's day," Copia says again as if repeating it is somehow going to be helpful. "You know, cards, gifts, chocolates, romance." Dew cringes, he shakes the card a little and watches a cascade of glitter rain onto the floor. "Uh...thanks?" "Don't tell me you didn't have Valentines day in hell?" Dew's eyes shoot up to his. Is he serious? Really? "Uh, no." "Oh," Copia says and Dew can practically see the bulb going off behind his eyes. "Lupercalia." "What? Is that the sex holiday? Is this how humans tell each other they want to fuck?" Copia goes bright red. "No, no, Caro. Not at all it's just...on Valentine's day you give gifts to people you appreciate, that you care about. I wasn't, I'm not--don't be ridiculous."
Dew tilts his head to the side, looking every bit the confused animal that he is. His tail flicks up behind him. "I don't get it." Aether appears as if on command behind Dew. He claps him on the shoulder. Dew sees glitter on his fingers too. "Just say thank you and walk away," Aether whispers in his ear on his way by. "Thanks, Papa," Dew says, trying to sound genuine. "I appreciate you too. I...guess?" "You're welcome, Dewdrop. Happy Valentine's Day!" Copia grins and strides off, already pulling another rosey envelope out of his pocket and humming as he goes. Dew looks at the card still clutched in his hand. "What the fuck?"

Future Plans! (September Update)
COMMISSIONS (UPDATE) I presently have no idea when I’ll open for commissions at this point! I really want to tackle personal projects first. REFERENCE SHEETS Presently, I have seven male characters left to do for this round! The characters are Graphite Doodles my unicorn stallion, Chris the mouse, Evan the rabbit, Kyle my red fox, Gabriel the squirrel, Trevor Dawson my wolf, and Bud Blaze, my MLP earth pony! There will be more coming at some future point; I really want to establish my characters! Having references available has been really helpful! It takes about two weeks to finish these reference sheets. Sometimes I can finish them earlier; I’m hoping to finish these by the end of 2023! TRADES & GIFT ART I’m thinking about doing gift art and trades sometime in 2024! I don’t have a set date in mind; I mostly want to work on some personal projects first and then see how I feel!  EXPRESSION PROJECT Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time is a better version of the 25 Expression Challenge. I’ve done a few challenges a long time ago, and I know I’ve done one recently-ish with Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. BUT! I haven’t done one when I’ve had this much self-esteem, self-compassion, and self-efficacy! Like, I feel like I could push myself well beyond what I’ve done before! I’m making a 100 Expression Challenge! You all are in for a treat! I might work on this at the same time as Tremmie and Evan series! TREMMIE & EVAN SERIES While I’m working on the 100 Expression Challenge, I want to dive into a passion project I’ve been wanting to start for 15 YEARS. I’m going to have a Tremmie and Evan sex romp series/comic! It’s going to be everything from sweet, silly, to hot and heavy and gooey! I want to give myself a fun challenge, and I think y’all would love it as much as I do! SOFT SHADING I’m also planning on dinking around with soft shading in 2024! I think I could make my art really pop with some quality shading and lighting! POSSIBLY SELLING SOME OLD CHARACTERS AS ADOPTABLES I am thinking of selling some characters as adoptables! There are 13 characters of mine that I'm never going to draw again, and I’m not going to combine them nor redesign them. I was thinking of making a ref sheet for each and selling the characters! The characters are: Callisto the skadger (skunk badger (spoken for), Sheila the Ringtail, Helen the spotted skunk, Heather the hedgevixen, Mindy the otter, Shazzy the felox (feline/fox), Brook the swift fox, Yasmine the red fox, Jessica/Jessie the arctic fox, Ian the whitetail buck, Liam the jackal, Nemo the snow leopard) and Natalia (striped skunk, formerly Natasha, and unrelated to Jim Hardimans’s Natasha),Todd Vickson, the [undecided] fox. I was also thinking I’d probably due Ÿ front view and ÂŒ back view, and 1 fully clothed view, instead of the 5 views I’m doing for my own characters. I’m thinking I’ll do this sometime much later in 2024. FUTURE REFERENCE SHEETS (LATE 2023) I realized that there are also characters I wish to keep! There are 10 characters in addition to the above that I want to do ref sheets for. Some are my wife Mistletoe's characters! She's not involved with the fandom anymore, but we fully support each other's interests! She sees how happy my characters make me and still likes furry and MLP art! (The characters are: Betsy, the arctic wolf (may change her name), Celeste the genet, Holly Graham, the red Scottish vixen, Josh the striped skunk, Marissa the mouse, Miriam the mouse (thinking of a new design!), Mistletoe the snowshoe hare, Rose Bunny the arctic hare, Josh, the striped skunk, and possibly bringing back Tremaine, but as a simple red fox, not a hedgefox). This will probably be late 2024. POSSIBLE ART PACKS: Instead of a printed portfolio (10 images printed on cardstock with a cardstock cover), I was thinking of doing two art packs I’d sell online! Printing, shipping, and storing physical merch is a huge pain, so I figure I’d sell it online! II am thinking of Poking At Vixens 4: Revisiting The Classics and Poking at Vixens 5: Vixens Poke Back! FUTURE CHARACTER SERIES IDEAS! In no particular order with no set date, yet! How Sherri the negaskunk met Kyle the fox Kyle being seduced by Cindy the kitsune Evan and Bridget  Chris and Andrea Bridget and Andrea Chris and Evan A very soft, sweet, and steamy series involving Bud Blaze the stallion being very attentive to Boninie the cow gal! Sherri introducing Kyle to Bridget and Andrea PONIES I still love My Little Pony a whole danged lot! I’m absolutely expecting to draw more ponies from here until the end of time! I’ve been into ponies (1984) way longer than furry fandom (1996); I still love both fandoms a whole lot! I want to do art ranging from general audiences to smutty!  HUMANS Re-uploading my old art on my Tremaine account back in 2018 made me realize how much I missed drawing humans! There are a bunch of artists whose humans really inspire me, and I absolutely want to practice drawing them! Once I feel I’ve got some decent progress made I’ll share some art! LEARNING NEW STUFF And, of course, I’m hoping to keep learning new things all the time! Goodness knows I’ve already learned so much since I started back on this path in May! Self-esteem, self-compassion, and self-efficacy have helped me a great deal in learning to take constructive criticism better, as well as learning to self-criticize with the aim of improving my art! I feel like as long as I make “having fun” a priority, everything else is so much easier! DISCORD SERVER (MAYBE, EVENTUALLY, BUT NOT RIGHT NOW) Definitely not at this time, but it’s something I’ll consider for the future! I’d like to be more active art-wise and grow my community significantly more before I go that route! STREAMING! I am also planning on streaming eventually. My real concern is being able to split my attention between drawing and a chat! I think I’ll start after I’m done with my initial round of character reference sheets! I do want to watch more streams, too, but I still have the same problem! I pretty much ignore the stream to focus on my own art. I feel like this is a thing I’ll need to jump into and play by ear, so to say!

[on a piece of cardstock written in cursive with quill pen. under a stuffed black cat plushie and a boquet of red roses. flower petals all over the bed and trail leading into the room. candles lit around being the only source of light.]
i have always cheered for the villian
i love hearing their stories that have made them cruel hard and tough
with walls built up so high no one can get in
yet i always fantasized of being the one that breaks in
there's something about a villain
when he kneels down and crumbles for the one he loves
even the thought of that gives me the chills and goosebumps
the hero has a story with detials
he is heard and validated
the hero is loved adored and praised by everyone around
the villain? well
the villain has a beautiful tragic story that no one seems to understand
a hero would sacrifice [him] to save the world
because the greater good is what matters
but a villain would tear the world apart in a heartbeat
because [he] is the greater and the only one that matters
so he treats [him] like a [king] and betroth him by his side
a villain is a soul that was broken once twice and thousands of times
so he understands and loves every inch of [his] wounds
curves and scars
so i've always fantasized of being understood
by the most misunderstood and misjudged
of experiencing love with the unloved
of expressing emotions with a so called cold hearted
and i know [he] must be so unique for him to let [him] in
because it can only be [him]
and only [him] for him that universe has chosen
and i'm not a pick me
but i've never felt chosen
i eill contradict you when you tell me you love me
if i give you a million reasons to leave
and if the world throws billions to hate me
i need to know your one from the million reasons
is strong enough to keep on loving me
and that is the way a villain chooses [him]
over and over again
against all odds
and i guess that's why i fantasize about being [him]
i guess that's why i find myself choosing the villain

this was so long-
Minho blinks in confusion when his roommates insist that he walks into his room without turning the light on. He couldn't exactly see in the dark, the last he checked. Shrugging it off as Changbin and Seungmin being little shits, he walks into his room. It wasn't like someone had laid a boobie trap in there.
It's very romantic. He's really lucked out, hasn't he?
"Kim Jooheon you sap~" Minho laughs, following the trail of flower petals to his bed and clearing a spot for him to sit down, patting the cat plush sitting beside him. He's even got half the mind to name the thing Nebula. The flowers are perfect and Minho listens to the compelling urge to set it on his nightstand. Bringing the soft toy to his lap and admiring how soft it is, he spots the note in the corner of his eye, a pre-emptive fond smile on his face.
Joo's been doing this a lot lately. He likes it.
The first few sentences make Minho scoff, already taking a guess at who the villain is. But the more he reads, the more he starts choking up, his throat tight and caught with emotion. This is Joo's confession of love, physically in his hand and plain as day. By the time he finishes reading it, Minho is sobbing, cardstock confession placed to the side as the love he has for the older man spills from his eyes, his head hanging low.

Top Decoration Ideas to Create An Unforgettable 10th Anniversary Celebration
Tumblr media
Reaching this milestone calls for celebration, and while cake and flowers are staples, thoughtful decorations add a special touch. Below are some unique ideas and DIY tips to create a memorable celebration without breaking the bank.
Decoration Themes:
Tumblr media
Tin/Aluminium Theme: Embrace the traditional theme with metallic hues. Silver balloons, tableware, and vases paired with white flowers are simple yet elegant choices. You could also add silver sequin curtains or create DIY bead curtains for a unique touch. Combine silver and white balloons to complete the look.
Vintage or Bollywood Retro: Retro themes, especially Bollywood-inspired, offer vibrant decorations with red, green, and orange hues. Lanterns, candles, and marigold garlands are classic elements. A photo booth with Bollywood props, like actor cutouts and funny accessories, adds fun for guests.
Garden Party: If you’re celebrating outdoors, fairy lights, floral arrangements, and eco-friendly tableware set the tone. Use paper or fresh flowers for centerpieces, and add soft music and outdoor games for entertainment. A portable speaker can keep the energy alive while guests dance.
Romantic Getaway: For an intimate celebration, think candles, roses, and your partner’s favorite music. Scatter scented candles throughout the room, set the table with your favorite flowers, and add love notes to create a personal and romantic ambiance.
Table Settings:
Black and White Classic: For a sleek Tin/Aluminium theme, pair black tablecloths with white napkins, silver tableware, and crystal vases.
Gold and Ivory: Perfect for a retro theme, use ivory tablecloths with gold candle holders and red roses for a vibrant, elegant setting.
Romantic Blush and Rose Gold: Pale pink tablecloths, pink flowers, and rose gold accents create a soft, romantic atmosphere.
Garden Theme: Use pastel tablecloths with floral plates, gold cutlery, and small succulents for a fresh, outdoor vibe.
Unique Ideas:
Lighting: String fairy lights in glass jars or place candles of different heights to set a warm, romantic mood. Use LED lights for a safer option.
Tumblr media
2. Floral Arrangements: Incorporate your partner’s favorite flowers into centerpieces or garlands. Flower garlands hung at the entrance or across walls add elegance.
3. Handmade Banners: Create personalized banners with custom messages like “Celebrating 10 Years of Love” using cardstock or fabric.
Tumblr media
Special Venue Option:
For a more luxurious celebration, The Binge Town offers a private space for an unforgettable anniversary. Known for its elegant dĂ©cor, delicious cuisine, and customized music, it’s perfect for a special event. Their private theatre services provide a cozy cinematic experience with popcorn, snacks, and drinks. Talented photographers will capture your memories, and the venue’s gift section offers unique items for your partner or party favors. From start to finish, they ensure a memorable and enjoyable event for you and your guests.

Water rose eco-friendly plantable wedding invitation available in Coimabtore at specialdays.in
Tumblr media
Eco-conscious couples today want their weddings to reflect their values by having less impact on the environment. One way to make your wedding greener is to send innovative plantable wedding invitations from Specialdays.in in Coimbatore. These special invitations contain seeds that can be planted by your guests after your ceremony.
Why Choose Plantable Wedding Invitations?
Plantable wedding invitations are the perfect choice for environmentally-minded couples. When your guests receive these organic invitations embedded with seeds, they can feel good knowing the cardstock is biodegradable and pesticide-free. After admiring the beautiful calligraphy announcing your upcoming nuptials, recipients can tear off a portion of the invitation and plant it in soil. With proper care, vibrant flowers will blossom as a lasting memory of your special day.
The journey doesn't end once your guests receive these invitations in the mail. The plantable card then transforms into a gift that keeps on giving when your loved ones propagate the seeds and nurture the blooms in their gardens. As the flowers bloom year after year, they will be reminded of the meaningful moment when you joined as partners in life.
Choose from a Variety of Flower Seed Options
Specialdays.in offers an appealing selection of flower seeds that can be embedded within the thick, high-quality cardstock. Depending on your wedding colors and theme, you may prefer a single floral variety or a diverse blend.
Some top options for plantable wedding invitations include:
Water Rose - These flowers have delicate rose-like blooms in shades of white, pink, red, orange, yellow, or purple that float atop the water. They make a lovely pond or pool plant.
Marigold - With bright, bold petals, marigolds are a classic flowering plant that comes in yellow, gold, orange, red, and multi-colored varieties. They attract pollinators like butterflies.
Forget-Me-Not - The tiny star-shaped blooms on forget-me-nots appear in cheery shades of blue, white, pink, and purple. They symbolize true love and remembrance.
Lavender - Known for its soothing fragrance, lavender blooms on slender purple stems. It has medicinal uses and attracts bees.
Zinnia - Large, vibrant zinnia flowers come in almost every color, blending well in bouquets. The petals can last up to two weeks after being cut.
Wildflower - Choose a wildflower mixture for varied blooms of native species suited to your region's climate. Popular mixes have up to 20 flower varieties that attract pollinators.
Basil - Add some herb appeal by selecting aromatic basil seeds! Use the edible leaves to flavor your recipes with a hint of your wedding.
With so many options, you can match the plant variety to your wedding theme or colors. Or pick different seeds to suit each member of your bridal party. Let nature be an extension of your special day.
Customize with Your Names & Wedding Date
Make your plantable wedding invitations even more unique by customizing them with your names and ceremony date. Specialdays.in offers this personalized printing so the keepsake quality is elevated.
See your full names displayed elegantly across the top of the invitation in a graceful font. The wedding date beneath ties everything together, specifying when the special event will take place.
Having this level of personalization makes each invitation feel intimate and exciting. Your guests will eagerly await the big date after receiving the custom-printed invites.
Include Engagement Photo or Wedding Symbol
For a truly distinctive plantable wedding invitation, Specialdays.in can incorporate a colorful engagement photograph or meaningful wedding symbol. Your gorgeous engagement photo will already capture so many emotions leading up to your big day. Or pick a meaningful symbol representing your love, like intertwined rings or hearts.
With this additional personalization, your plantable wedding invitations will convey your unique relationship. Guests will be thrilled to display this special card until it's time to plant the embedded seeds and nurture the blooms.
Eco-Friendly Cardstock and Soy-Based Inks
An important benefit of Specialdays.in's plantable wedding invitations is that they are printed on 100% recycled cardstock using non-toxic soy-based inks. The cardstock has an authentic cotton canvas texture and comes from sustainable sources, not fresh tree pulp.
The soy-based inks provide vivid colors and crisp detail while being much gentler on the environment. They don't release the harsh chemicals and fumes of conventional inks. Your plantable invitations are truly aligned with green principles.
Round of 'The Bear and Bunny' Storygame
Human: Let's play a storygame together. I'll start, then you continue the story, then I'll add to it, and we'll keep alternating. Here's my start:
The bear and bunny were best friends who lived in the forest together. One day, they decided to go on a picnic. They packed up their favorite foods and hiked to a beautiful clearing beside a stream. The sun was shining as they spread out their picnic blanket.

The Art of Crafting: Xmas Party Invitations Your Guests Can't Resist
A beautifully crafted Xmas party invitation can set the tone for your festive extravaganza and create anticipation in your guests. It can turn your soiree into a must-attend event of the season. But how do you create a masterpiece that stands out from a sea of digital invites and mass-produced cards? Discover the art of crafting irresistible invitations by following these five key steps to create a personalized keepsake for your holiday gathering.
1. Choose a Memorable Theme
Selecting a theme is the first step towards making exclusive Xmas party invitations. The theme not only provides a cohesive look for your invitations, but it also sets the overall vibe of your celebration. From the classic winter wonderland to trending ugly sweater soirees, consider a concept that reflects your personality and excites your guests. Make it distinct and catchy, so your invitation becomes instantly recognizable.
2. Experiment with Color and Texture
A captivating Xmas invitation uses color and texture to create a visual impact. Consider unconventional color schemes like rose gold and silver, or stick to traditional red and green but with unique textures like velvet or foil. Experiment with contrasting combinations or an ombre effect to craft an alluring invitation. Don't be afraid to push boundaries while keeping your theme and personal style in mind.
3. Handmade Elements
Handmade elements exude warmth and personal touch. Craft your Xmas party invitations using specialty cardstocks, and incorporate techniques like hand-painting, letterpress, embossing, or sewing. You can also create handmade embellishments like dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks, or artificial berries inspired by nature. These unique DIY elements will make your guests feel special, knowing the care and effort you put into your handwritten invitations.
4. Choose an Elegant Font
Typography is an essential component of a captivating invitation. Choose a font that complements your theme and adds a touch of sophistication. From calligraphic fonts for a vintage-inspired affair to simple modern fonts for a minimalistic look, selecting the perfect font can transform your Xmas party invitation into a refined piece of art. You may also opt for handwritten calligraphy to elevate your invitation to a whole new level of personalization.
5. Thoughtful Presentation
An irresistible Xmas party invitation leaves a lasting impression. Enhance the presentation of your invite by using creative items like vellum overlays, twine, or ribbon. Additionally, consider crafting envelopes that match the theme and style of your invitations. Seal your envelopes using custom wax seals or personalized stickers, adding a luxurious touch and ensuring your invitations stand out even before they are opened.
Crafting Your Xmas Masterpiece
Creating show-stopping, one-of-a-kind Xmas party invitations is an art form that requires imagination, attention to detail, and a personal touch. Remember, the invitation sets the tone for your festive soiree and acts as a precursor to the fun and memories in store.
By carefully selecting the theme, colors, textures, fonts, and adding handmade elements, you will craft invitations that exude warmth, creativity, and style. These artistic invitations will not only convey the festive spirit but also make your guests eagerly anticipate the Yuletide gathering they simply can't resist.
