Made a lil' something for my VtM crew (going on 4+ years now) after finding a holiday card that felt perfect for our group. And I couldn't just gift them it, I had to replicate it with our boys. It may be a little late for Christmas, but the holidays include New Years as well, and given their white tie attire, it seems fitting!

Manuel knew they were doing a photoshoot, but didn't realize just what the greeting was going to be until it was too late...

Ethan Dalton and Celeste Dalton are siblings. However, they're total polar opposites. Celeste is bubbly, outgoing, flirty and dramatic. Meanwhile, Ethan is introverted, reclusive, quiet and stoic.

I added lots and lots of headcanons (sorry), so in my mind, their playthroughs happened parallel with each other.

Ethan is very academic and studious. He stays in his own lane, does his own thing, unbothered. Celeste is popular and is involved with everything and everyone. She's a flirt, for sure. Florin Kraemer, eat your heart out.

Ethan decided to pursue higher education at a prestigious university, while Celeste decided to have fun with an art gallery apprenticeship. Her end goal is to become a fashion designer and start her own haute couture house.

In both playthroughs, Gallatin won. None of them ended up married. Lady Renaldt got exposed, and the good Dalton family name was restored.

Ethan got thrown in the mines (yikes!) while Celeste was busy fooling around with her boytoys. You'd think that she'd notice her brother being gone, but it's kind of hard when there are so many guys fighting for your attention :/

I scoured the author's blog to find any clues about the fashion in CLDC. I didn't want to put them in their school uniforms (which would've just been easier honestly), and since the zeitgeist of the CLDC universe is actually... not THAT set in stone (I even looked at other people's MC to make sense of what the fashion should look like) I just ended up taking inspo from dark/light academia, old money and coquette aesthetics. Can you tell that Celeste is very Lana Del Rey coded? :)

Their parents accidentally supported a corrupt political candidate.

Celeste is incredibly arrogant, vain and bold. For better or for worse. Ethan also has a tendency to look down on people he deems to be less intellectual than him.

Celeste had a hate-love thing with Blaise. Ethan wondered why she needed two snarky dark-haired dudes in her life. He pretty much avoided everyone, and the closest thing he had to romance was with Prince Rosario of all people!? So much for trying to be low-profile.

Ethan has to constantly drag Celeste out of dumb situations of her own making. Celeste has to constantly remind Ethan that people, even him, need human interaction.

Honestly the only reason why they managed to save the family's reputation is because Ethan was working behind the scenes and cleaned up Celeste's love scandals.

They're part east/southeast asian, part middle eastern and part european.

Ethan loves birds, especially corvids. He spends more time with birds than he does with people. His earring is supposed to resemble a raven.

Celeste is part of the Prefect Committee. Ethan is a member of the Birchmeier Society.

Ethan is 5'11, Celeste is 5'5.

Had to restart the playthrough because of this, but in Celeste's playthrough, she decided to dance with Auguste at the ball. After that chapter ended, it triggered multiple consecutive scenes, one after another, where literally ALL of the characters had the "what are we???" talk with her. Can't believe the harem found out.

Ngayong panahon ng Kuwaresma, sama-samang tumulong at nagbigay-aliw ang mga mag- aaral mula sa Grade 11 Mercy at Sincerity ng St. Dominic Academy (SDA), kasama ng kanilang mga guro, sa kabataan ng Kalye Ulong Pating, Paltao, Pulilan nitong Ika-25 ng Pebrero, Sabado ng hapon. Bahagi ito ng kanilang outreach program na pinamagatang “Hawak Kamay” at umikot sa temang “Dominikanong sama-samang tumutulong para sa pag-asenso ng kapwa Pulileño.”

Layunin ng programa na malinang ang pakikiramay ng mga Dominikano sa kapwa, maghatid saya at tulong sa mga nangangailangan ngayong Kuwaresma, at ipalaganap ang mga korporal na gawa ng awa sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakain sa mga nagugutom, pagpapainom sa mga nauuhaw, at pagdadamit sa mga walang kasuotan.

Pinangunahan nina Bb. Arriane Garcera at G. Paul Marquis Garcia ang palatuntunan para sa nasabing outreach activity. Si Bb. Maria Rosario De Leon naman ang nanguna sa panalangin na sinundan ng mga pagsayaw ng mga estudyante, guro, at mga bata.

Kabilang din sa programa ang katekismo kung saan tinuruan ang mga bata ukol sa paglikha ng mundo ayon sa Bibliya at ang pagdarasal ng Santo Rosaryo. Pinangunahan ito nina Bb. Carla Veronica Villaseñor at Bb. Daenielle Sotamiento. Binigyan naman ang mga bata ng mga rosaryo at papel na ginuhitan nila ng kanilang mga hilling at sinulatan ng kanilang liham para kay Hesus.

Nagkaroon din ng mga palaro tulad ng ‘stop dance’ at ‘the boat is sinking’ kung saan nagpamigay ng iba’t ibang premyo ang mga estudyante sa mga manlalaro. Pagkatapos, naganap ang pagbibigay ng mga pagkain, inumin, damit at mga laruan sa mga bata. Habang naghihintay makatanggap ng pagkain, ilang bata ang nagpasalamat sa kanilang mga ate at kuya sa SDA.

Ipinaabot ni G. Gerald Simbogan, guro at campus minister, ang kanyang mensahe ukol sa naging programa.

Secondo lei la verità giudiziaria su Bologna fotografa davvero ciò che è accaduto?

«Secondo me, è il mio parere, e conosco la vicenda, le sentenze e la verità in questo caso non hanno niente a che vedere. Tutte le sentenze di questa storia sono profondamente sbagliate, dato che non si basano su una prova. Quindi non è una parte di verità che va cercata. Ma tutta».

Sembra che si sia entrati in una fase di giustizialismo narrativo: o quella tesi o si è fuori dai giochi.

«Esatto: giustizialismo narrativo. Queste reazioni sono assurde e gravissime. Un fenomeno che sostiene che non si possa esprimere un pensiero diverso da quella che è la verità giudiziaria. […] si attaccano a un motivo: De Angelis è il portavoce del presidente della Regione Lazio, dunque è un rappresentante delle istituzioni. E quindi non può dire quello che pensa? Ma perché? […] penso che la sentenza sia sbagliata, e penso che ci siano stati dei depistaggi».

Da dove nasce il modus operandi di questo scontro?

«La verità su Bologna è stata battaglia di sinistra fino al 2008. […] E per sentirsi di sinistra non bisognava essere colpevolisti per forza, come oggi […] […] Il primo a dire che i Nar erano innocenti è stato Luigi Cipriani, un deputato di Democrazia proletaria nel 1995. brief timeline covering Rosario de Angelis, a major NPC from my VtM chronicle :^)c

he was born Ciro Favero on December 25th, 1719

he was Embraced (killed and turned into a vampire) by Lazzaro Amato, a Ventrue, on June 29th, 1769, without asking the local Prince's permission (or Rosario's for that matter)

eight years after that, Rosario killed Lazzaro, and began living his own life

for the next century and a half, Rosario built himself up (going through new identities every decade or two, traveling the world and currying favor from many in power. eventually, he settled down and began experimenting on creating portable blood stores

by 1915, he managed his first success, but continued experimenting for a few more years until he was confident in his product, finishing in 1919 and beginning the establishment of a business off of it

by 1922, the Garden of Hippocrates, his pharmaceutical company specializing in blood bags, was widespread, and profitable; both from a monetary sense (from mortals), and a power sense (from kindred—especially the Camarilla)

in July, 1924, Rosario visited Havana, Cuba, to find a new blood doll, as he was tired of his present ones, and met Manuel Ramírez-Valverde, a bell-hop at the Hotel Candelaria. over the course of one evening, he became enamored with the man, and decided that he wanted him as his new blood doll. unfortunately, an emergency called him away from Cuba, and had to wipe Manuel's memories of their night together for his own good

in October, 1924, Rosario came back, and took Manuel on a whirlwind romance over the course of a week. when it came time to turn Manuel into a blood doll (i.e. make him physiologically addicted to being bitten by vampires), he couldn't do it, and decided he wanted Manuel as a ghoul, not a throwaway blood doll

in November, 1924, Rosario came around a third time, this time campaigning to hire Manuel on as a ghoul. eventually he did, and took on his first ever ghoul since being Embraced

over the next few years, Manuel was a dutiful ghoul, and Rosario gained even more power, thanks to the difference of working with someone rather than working alone

in February, 1927, an assassination attempt on Rosario left Manuel with an empathetic bond; he could sense every emotion Rosario felt (as long as he was within a one mile radius of him). Manuel decided to keep this secret

in December, 1927, Rosario traveled to New York City, and, after certain events, decided he would be staying for "Some Time"

over the span of the next few months, he plans in secret, creates alliances, releases his two blood dolls (evie and sylas)...and begins an amorous relationship with his ghoul, who takes up yet another duty: keeping Rosario fed

THE DESCRIPTION OF SAINT LORENZO RUIZ The Protomartyr and Patron of the Philippines

“Ego Catholicus sum et animo prompto paratoque pro Deo mortem obibo. Si mille vitas haberem, cunctas ei offerrem.” (“I am a Catholic and wholeheartedly do accept death for God; had I a thousand lives, all these to Him shall I offer.”)

He is the patron of Filipino altar servers, Chinese-Filipinos, the Filipino youth, immigrants, migrant workers, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), the Filipino people, and the Philippines.

The first Filipino-born saint, Lorenzo Ruiz, was born on November 28, 1594 in Binondo, located in the capital of Manila. The Philippines is at that time ruled by the Spanish. He is raised to a Chinese father and a Filipino mother who were both Catholic. His father taught him Chinese while his mother taught him Tagalog.

In his youth, he served as an altar boy at the Binondo Church (aka Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz). Lorenzo earned the title of escribano (scrivener) after being educated by the Dominican friars for a few years because of his skillful penmanship. Later on, he became a member of the Confraternity of the Rosary (Cofradía del Santísimo Rosario). He married Rosario, a native, and they blessed with three children (two sons and a daughter), and they led a generally, peaceful, religious and content life.

Lorenzo’s life turned forever in 1636, while serving as a clerk at the church, he was falsely accused of murdering a Spaniard. In order to escape execution, he sought asylum on board a ship with some other Dominican missionaries bound for Japan. They are: Antonio Gonzalez, who is one of the Thomasian Martyrs, Guillermo Courtet, who is the first Frenchman to have visited Japan, and three individuals who are part of the 16 Martyrs of Japan - Miguel de Aozaraza, Vicente Shiwozuka de la Cruz; and a lay leper Lázaro of Kyoto. Lorenzo and his companions sailed for Okinawa on June 10, 1636, with the aid of the Dominican fathers.

The Tokugawa Shogunate (1603-1868) was persecuting Christians, because they feared that was how the Spanish invaded the Philippines by using religion by the time Lorenzo had arrived in Japan. The missionaries were arrested and thrown into prison, and after two years, they were transferred to Nagasaki to face trial by torture. The group endured many and various cruel methods of torture. They were made to swallow pails of water that while some soldiers trampled on their belly, came out from their mouth, nose, and ears mixed with blood. Long needles were put in their fingers provoking agonizing pains.

On September 27, 1637, Lorenzo and his companions were taken to Nishizaka Hill, where they were tortured by being hung upside-down over a pit. This form of torture was known as tsurushi (釣殺し) in Japanese or horca y hoya (’gallows and pit’) in Spanish. The method, alleged to have been extremely painful, had the victim bound; one hand was always left free so that the individual may signal their desire to recant, leading to their release. When the government officials asked: ’If we grant you life, will you renounce your faith?’

Lorenzo replied: “Ako ay Katoliko at buong puso kong tinatanggap ang kamatayan para sa Diyos. Kung mayroon akong isang libong buhay, iaalay ko lahat ito para sa Kanya!” (I am a Christian, and I shall die for God, and for him I will give many thousands of lives if I had them. And so, do with me as you please!)

Ruiz refused to renounce Christianity and ultimately died from eventual blood loss and suffocation on September 29, 1637 at the age of 42 in Nagasaki, Hizen Province. His body was cremated and his ashes thrown into the sea. Two renegade priests, who worked as interpreters for the Japanese, were moved to repentance by his heroic faith. They took the first ship bound in Manila to report the whole story. In a sign of gratitude, the archbishop ordered all the bells of the city to ring in honor of him.

On February 18, 1981, Lorenzo Ruiz was beatified during John Paul II’s papal visit to the Philippines, making the first beatification ceremony to be held outside the Vatican in history. Six years later on the feast of St. Luke - October 18th, he was canonized in the Vatican by the same pope in the Vatican, among the 16 Martyrs of Japan, making him the first Filipino saint. His canonization was supported by a miracle in October 1983, when Cecilia Alegria Policarpio of Calinog, Iloilo, was cured of brain atrophy (hydrocephalus) at the age of two, after her family and supporters prayed to Lorenzo for his intercession.

More large VtM doodle dumps--mixed of old and new, you can tell when I finally got a visual reference of the guy--this one specifically starring Manuel’s Ventrue employer (and slow burn love interest): Rosario de Angelis (who belongs to @bettiqua)! 

While Manuel acts as Rosario’s loyal ghoul and right hand man around New York, these two have a very messy history with each other that they’re only recently beginning to chisel away at after years of spiteful miscommunication and misunderstandings. A very simple summary of them would be that they’re two vulnerable men who have been hurt in the past and have been too prideful (and scared) to want that to happen to them again, only now discovering this about the other to the point they can begin to truly connect.

In short: they’re two idiots in love (even if one party is aware of their feelings but don’t see the other returning it, while the other refuses to believe they are). A little toxic but suited perfectly for each other.

Magbalik Nakaraan Sa Vigan

    Matatagpuan ang Lungsod ng Vigan sa Lalawigan ng Ilocos Sur. Kilala ang lungsod na ito sa maayos na pagka-reserba nito bilang kolonyal na bayan ng Espanya. Bukod pa rito, tanyag din ang Vigan sa mga lugar na may malalalim na kultura at masasarap na pagkain. Dahil sa tanyag nitong kadakilaan, inirehistro ito bilang isa sa mga UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

    Isa ang Vigan sa pinakasikat na siyudad dito sa Pilipinas kaya naman hindi na ito pinalampas ng aking pamilya. Tumungo kami roon noong January 4, 2019. Nagtagal lamang kami ng mga ilang oras sa Lungsod ng Vigan dahil kinakailangan din naming umuwi kaagad. Ngunit ang saglit na oras na nilaan namin ay isa na sa pinakamemorableng pangyayari ng aking buhay.

    Mula sa lungsod ng Urdaneta, Pangasinan, bumiyahe kami ng apat na oras para marating ang Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Umalis kami sa ganap na alas-otso ng umaga.

    Makalipas ang ilang minutong pagbibiyahe, nakarating na kami sa Rosario, La Union at kumain ng almusal sa Mcdonald’s branch dito.

    Ilang oras ang lumipas at naramdaman naming nalalapit na kami sa aming destinasyon dahil sa mga karagatan at kabundukang tanaw sa aming kotse. Hindi na lingid sa kaalaman ng nakakarami na sagana sa yaman ng karagatan at kalupaan ang Ilocos Sur dahil sa layog at longhitud nito.

    Nadaanan namin ang nagliliwanag na asul na karagatan ng Narvacan, Ilocos Sur. Dito, namataan namin ang grotto ni Kapitan Juan de Salcedo na nasa gitna ng karagataan. Sa kasalukuyan, mas kilala na ang tanawin na ito bilang Pila Grotto Paraiso ni Juan sa Sulvec, Narvacan, Ilocos Sur.

    Nagpatuloy kami sa aming pagbibiyahe at natagpuan namin ang Old Quirino Bridge sa Ilocos Sur. Sa pagkamangha ng aking pamilya sa taglay nitong estruktura, huminto kami rito ng mga ilang minuto para makakuha ng litrato.

    Nagpatuloy muli kami sa pagbibiyahe at hindi kalaunan ay natunton na rin namin ang Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. Bumungad sa amin ang siyudad na tila mo ay nasa panahon pa rin ng kolonyalismo.

    Habang nasa kotse, tanaw namin ang makabagong mga kainan na nakaayon pa rin ang estruktura sa panahon ng mga Espanyol.

     Ala-una ng hapon kami ganap na nakarating ng Vigan City. Kaya naman ang una naming ginawa rito ay maghanap ng makakainan ng tanghalian. Malapit sa paradahan ng aming kotse ang natagpuang kainan ng aking ina, ito ay ang Kusina Felicitas.

    May karamihan na ang kumakain dito noong dumating kami. Sa kabutihang-palad, nakahanap kami ng pwesto na sakto sa aming pamilya. Maganda ang kapaligiran ng kainan na ito dahil sa taglay nitong antigong disenyo. Bukod sa ayos nito ay tunay ring masarap ang kanilang mga pagkaing hinahain.

    Pagkatapos kumain, sumakay naman kami sa kalesa upang lubos na malibot ang lugar. Tinulungan kami ng nagmamaneho na umakya’t bumaba ng kalesa dahil kami ng aking pamilya ay hindi sanay sa ganitong pamamaraan ng paglalakbay. Lubos ding maalam ang mga nagmamaneho sa mga lugar na aming dinadaanan. Habang nagmamaneho, binibigyan niya rin kami ng mga impormasyon tungkol sa lungsod ng Vigan.

      Una niya kaming dinala sa Bahay ni Padre Burgos o mas kilala sa tawag na Rehiyonal na Museo ng Ilocos sa Lungsod ng Vigan. Matatagpuan rito ang ilan sa mga gamit ni Dating Presidente Elpidio Quirino.

     Nasa iisang establishimento rin ang Dating Kulangang Pamprobinsiya ng Ilocos Sur.

    Pagkatapos naman namin sa museo, dinala kami ng nagkakalesa sa gawaan ng mga longganisa. Kilala ang Vigan sa masasarap nitong mga longganisa kaya’t nag-uwi na rin kami ng ilang balot ng mga ito.  

    Sa huli, natapos din ang aming paglalakbay sa kalesa. Naikot namin ang ilang mga lugar sa Vigan sa halagang P150.00 – P250.00. Binalik kami ng nagkakalesa sa sentro ng siyudad. Doon, nagsimula kaming maglakad-lakad at bumili ng mga pasalubong.

    Bago umuwi, tumungo kami sa Coffee Break Vigan upang mag-meryenda. Mayroon silang samu’t saring mga palamig, tinapay at kape na hinahain kaya rito na rin kami bumili ng pagkain para sa biyahe.

    Ganap na alas-tres ng hapon, nagsimula na kaming bumiyahe pauwi ng Olongapo. Para sa mas mabilis na paglalakbay at makaiwas sa trapiko, dumaan kami sa TPLEX (Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway). Nakauwi kami ng ligtas sa Olongapo sa ganap na alas-onse ng gabi.

    Marami na rin ang naitalang mga sulatin tungkol sa lungsod ng Vigan, ngunit naniniwala ako na mas maganda maranasan ang kagandahan at kahusayan ng lugar na ito sa ating sarili mismo. Sa pamamagitan nito, mas mabibigyang kahulugan ang ating pagkatao at mas malilinang ang pagka-Pilipino. Sa mga pagkain, lugar at mga tao, masasabi na totoong mayaman ang kultura at kasaysayan ng ating bansa. Namumuhay tayo sa panahon kung saan lahat ay mabilis at walang kasiguraduhan, sa susunod na pagkakataon, tara na’t magbalik nakaraan sa Vigan!

Bambina Mia, il tempo per il trionfo del Mio Cuore Immacolato è vicino.

Il tempo per Me di schiacciare il serpente si sta avvicinando. Ma fino al giorno in cui Satana e i suoi demoni non sono scacciati nel deserto, molta confusione scoppierà sulla terra.

Per i credenti in Mio Figlio, sarà un momento di tormento. Saranno tirati in due direzioni diverse dalla Chiesa cattolica.

Una metà riterrà, per dovere, la necessità di seguire il Falso Profeta, il Papa che succederà a Papa Benedetto XVI.

Lui, la bestia, è vestito come un agnello, ma non è dal Padre Mio, Dio l’Altissimo, e ingannerà le anime povere, tra cui sacerdoti, vescovi e cardinali.

Molti lo seguiranno e crederanno che sia stato mandato da Dio a governare la Sua Chiesa sulla terra.

Purtroppo, molte anime seguiranno i suoi insegnamenti che sono un insulto al Padre Mio.

Altri, pieni di Spirito Santo e date le grazie di discernimento per causa delle loro umili anime, comprenderanno subito che un impostore si trova nella Chiesa di Roma.

Il nuovo falso Papa sta già manovrando, anche prima di salire al trono della Sede di Pietro, per censurare gli insegnamenti di Mio Figlio. Poi biasimerà Me, la Beata Madre di Dio, e ridicolizzerà il Mio ruolo di Corredentrice.

Figlia Mia, il tuo ruolo è destinato a diventare ancora più difficile di prima. Poiché tanti dei Miei bambini sono molto confusi. Gli insulti che affronti ogni giorno, i tormenti che sopporti in nome del Figlio Mio, aumenteranno.

Non aver mai paura di dire al mondo la verità, figlia Mia.

Stai per essere resa più forte a causa della sofferenza fisica e mentale che accetti in nome del Mio Figlio per salvare le anime.

Ogni tentativo, in particolare da un settore della Chiesa cattolica, sarà fatto per respingere i Miei messaggi dati a voi.

La vostra obbedienza e la fedeltà verso di Me e verso il Mio Figlio diletto saranno testate come mai prima. Questo può condurvi lontano ma, se ciò dovesse accadere, non durerà a lungo.

Prega figlia Mia, per tutti i figli di Dio che, non per colpa loro, sono trascinati nella battaglia finale per le anime.

Tutto questo deve avvenire poiché esso è contenuto nel Libro del Padre Mio.

Tutti gli angeli del cielo ti proteggono, figlia Mia, in questa missione un po’ solitaria.

Ricorda sempre come la preghiera è importante.

Pregate, pregate, pregate poiché senza la preghiera, specialmente la recita del Mio Santo Rosario, Satana vi può allontanare dalla Santa Parola del Mio Prezioso Figlio.

Ricordate anche l’importanza del digiuno poiché esso mantiene il seduttore a bada.

Senza la preghiera regolare, figli Miei, sarà difficile restare vicino a Mio Figlio.

Non temete il futuro, bambini, poiché se rimarrete vicino al Mio Figlio sarete protetti e vi saranno date le grazie necessarie per preparare le vostre anime e quelle delle vostre famiglie per la nuova Era di Pace predetta molto tempo fa.

18 Dicembre 2012 – La Vergine Maria: tutti coloro che promuovono l’aborto e che sono responsabili della sua introduzione sono colpevoli di peccato mortale.

Mia cara figlia, la più sacra creazione del Mio Amato Padre, la vita dei bambini nel grembo materno, è distrutta a milioni in tutto il mondo.

Il maligno ha influenzato i governi di tutte le parti del mondo per assicurare che l’aborto non solo sia accettato, ma che sia considerato una cosa buona.

Quante lacrime sono versate ora in Cielo? Tutti gli Angeli e i Santi chinano il loro capo nel dolore.

I figli di Dio saranno distrutti in numero grandissimo quando inizierà il tempo della Grande Tribolazione.

Le guerre, le carestie, gli omicidi e i suicidi aumenteranno. Tuttavia è il peccato di aborto che provoca l’ira di Mio Padre più di qualunque altro peccato.

I paesi che tollerano l’aborto soffriranno molto dalla Mano di Dio. I loro paesi piangeranno quando vedranno la loro punizione. Tutti coloro che sono responsabili per l’introduzione di un atto così vile, avranno bisogno di molte preghiere.

Figlia Mia, è importante che ognuno reciti il mio Santo Rosario ogni venerdì fino all’ultima settimana di gennaio 2013 per fermare la diffusione dell’aborto.

Tutti i bambini uccisi nel grembo materno diventano angeli nel Regno di Mio Padre. Essi pregano ogni giorno per ogni madre che ha provocato consapevolmente la fine della vita del bambino dentro di lei. Le loro preghiere serviranno per salvare le anime delle loro mamme.

Tutti coloro che promuovono l’aborto e che sono responsabili della sua introduzione sono colpevoli di peccato mortale.

Pregate, pregate, pregate per questi peccatori che hanno molto bisogno della Misericordia di Dio.
