Three Days On A Yacht...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Matt: And how does it feel to be back on the water again?
Luke: Honestly? It feels right. I didn't realize how much I would miss the Navy after everything...
Matt: From personal experience, that never goes away. But you find other loves.
Luke: Like Ophelia.
Matt: Smart answer *laughs*
Tumblr media
Ben: I'm just saying, the movie was better than the book.
Ophelia: You're a moron.
Tumblr media
Ben: Why?
Ophelia: Because the movie wouldn't exist without the book, so that inherently makes the book better. Plus it's the true story the author wanted to tell, not some chopped up story for the cinemas.
Rose: You guys are dorks.
Taylor: Absolute nerds.
Tumblr media
Kat: We're sailing past Sulani now, don't miss those views everyone!
....
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kat: I hope Ben isn't going to far out...
Tumblr media
Matt: Cut him some slack, Kitty, he's a sailor after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ophelia: I can see him, going in circles past that island.
Tumblr media
Luke: *signing* How far until he's in international waters and we have to rescue him?

“HOWARDS END” (2017) Review
Tumblr media
"HOWARDS END" (2017) Review If there is one production company associated with the works of E.M. Forster it is Merchant-Ivory, the creation of producer Ishmail Merchant and director-producer James Ivory. I find this odd, considering that Merchant-Ivory have only adapted three of Forster's novels. One of those novels is "Howards End", published in 1910. There have been at least three on-screen adaptations of the latter - a 1970 BBC movie, Merchant-Ivory's 1992 Oscar winning film and the ITV's 2017 miniseries. This particular article happens to be about the latter.
"HOWARDS END" is basically an exploration of social and class divisions in Edwardian Great Britain, through the viewpoints of three families - the intellectual and idealistic Schlegels, the Wilcoxes; who are wealthy capitalists; and the working-class Basts. Sisters Margaret and Helen Schlegel become acquainted with the Wilcox family during a trip to Germany. When Helen, the younger Schlegel sister, visits the Wilcoxes at their country house, Howards End. She becomes attracted to the younger Wilcox son, Paul, and they become engaged in haste. However, the pair soon regret their decision and quickly break off their engagement. but soon regret their decision, breaking off the engagement by mutual consent. Months later, the two sisters and their younger brother Theobald "Tibby" Schlegel attend a musical concert, when Helen accidentally takes an umbrella that belongs to the impoverished clerk Leonard Bast. He appears at the Schlegels' home to retrieve it but leaves in a hurried after becoming embarrassed by his umbrella's shabby quality and appearance. Several months more pass before Leonard's common-law wife, Jacky, appear at their home, demanding his whereabouts. Apparently, Leonard had embarked upon a long walk into the countryside upon leaving work. He returns to the Schlegels' home to explain his disappearance and quickly forms a friendship with the two sisters. Meanwhile, the Schlegels renew their acquaintance with the Wilcoxes when the latter move into a London townhouse, across the street from the latter, for oldest son Charles' wedding to a young woman named Dolly. With Helen visiting relatives in Germany, Margaret begins a friendship with Mrs. Ruth Wilcox. But their friendship is cut short by the latter's death. Sometime after Ruth Wilcox's funeral, the Schlegels become acquainted with the Wilcoxes again when Margaret and Helen encounter the recently widowed Henry Wilcox around the same time their friendship with Leonard Bast begins. Between Henry's bad employment advice regarding Leonard, Helen's developing dislike of Henry, and Margaret's growing attraction toward the businessman; a clash between social and political classes spiral toward a startling conclusion. I had first learned about this third adaptation of Forster's novel through a blog that centered around period movie and television productions. The writer, a major fan of the 1992 adaptation, had quickly dismissed this production (without having seen it, I may add) as not worth viewing. Considering my past experience viewing the 2007 television adaptation of "A Room with a View", I had felt inclined to follow the blogger's advice. But in the end, I had decided it would have been fairer to give "HOWARDS END" a chance. I am more than glad I did. Mind you, I had a few quibbles about "HOWARDS END". If I must be honest, I can only think of three quibbles right now. The miniseries featured a scene I believe should have involved a bit more of an emotional impact. This scene featured Margaret Schlegel's response to Henry Wilcox's decision to end their engagement, following the revelation of his past affair with Jacky Bast. I can see Margaret keeping her cool, while facing Henry's emotional decision. But even in the privacy of her room, Margaret had remained calm, almost cold, as he contemplated her next move. I do wish that director Hettie MacDonald and screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan had allowed a small peek into any emotional turmoil on Margaret's part. I also found her reaction to seeing Henry again, at his daughter Evie's wedding, a bit odd. She seemed a bit too . . . controlled, even after Helen had led her and Leonard away. Speaking of Jacky, I consider my third quibble to be a major narrative problem. And it is a problem shared by Forster's original novel and the 1992 film. What in the hell happened to Jacky Bast? Neither this miniseries, the novel or the movie bothered to reveal or hint Jacky Bast's fate, following that final event at the Howards End estate. It seemed clear that once poor Jacky had served her purpose in exposing Henry's past, Foster did not give her another thought. Screenwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala had decided to be faithful to the novel in her screenplay for the 1992 movie. I had hoped Lonergan would resolve this issue in miniseries' screenplay. Unfortunately, he had merely repeated Forster's mistake. Despite my issues, I really enjoyed "HOWARDS END". Much more than I had fully expected. Thanks to Hettie MacDonald's direction and Kenneth Lonergan's screenplay, I thought the miniseries did an excellent job in exploring the different social classes and political beliefs that permeated the story. I do not know if I would label the Wilcoxes as part of "the upper classes". Before World War II, only members of the aristocracy and landed gentry were regarded as the upper classes. The Wilcoxes are obviously rich capitalists, whose fortune had originated in one or many of the British colonies overseas. Before the war, they would be regarded as "trade", regardless of their wealth. I sometimes found myself wondering if Henry Wilcox's attempt to find a family estate of his own was indicative of his desire for the family to be regarded a lot higher than mere rich capitalists. After all, his first wife Ruth, whose family had owned Howard End for generation, may have come from the landed gentry. Henry and his children did not seem interested in living at Howards End. Yet, they seemed determined that Ruth's desire to pass the estate to Margaret would be prevented. I find it strange that none of this had ever occurred to me, while watching Merchant-Ivory's film or reading Forster's novel. Then again, I should not have been surprised. Watching this miniseries had made me aware of a lot of issues and emotions in the story - more so than the film and novel ever did. In at least two scenes, the miniseries seemed to have further exposed Henry's bullying and hypocritical nature. This was apparent in one scene in which he dismissed some of Helen's progressive views in a friendly, yet arrogant manner during her stay at Howards End in the first episode. Another scene featured Henry's refusal to consider that his advice regarding Leonard's employment had left the latter jobless. I found his reaction to Leonard's situation so arrogant and insensitive that I had to fight the urge to punch my fist through the television screen. I also noticed in some of the scenes featuring Ruth Wilcox that despite her gentle and soft-spoken nature, she seemed to exercise a strong grip on her family - including Henry. One very interesting scene in this miniseries featured Margaret and Helen's discussion about the Wilcoxes and the latter's negative comments on the wealthy family. Also, this version of Leonard Bast seemed not only more timid, but also more insecure. What I found surprising about this adaptation is the less-than-ideal portrayal of the Schlegel sisters. Mind you, MacDonald and Lonergan's portrayal of "Tibby" Schlegel did not hesitate to expose the character's sharp wit, arrogance and self-absorbed nature. One brutal moment featured Tibby refusing to speak to Leonard, when the latter appeared at the Schlegels' current home to learn Helen's whereabouts. And as shown in the 1992 adaptation, the pair also exposed Helen's over-emotional reaction to the Wilcoxes and Margaret's relationship with Henry, along with Margaret's willingness to throw the Basts under the bus, when their very presence (I should say Jacky Bast's presence) proved to be a major inconvenience to her engagement. But I was surprised by MacDonald and Lonergan's willingness to expose Margaret's shallow fascination of Henry Wilcox's "manly" traits and his wealth - something I suspect that may have led her to consider him as a potential husband. Another moment that caught me by surprise was Helen's disregard for Jacky Bast and the dismissive comments she had made about the latter. She only seemed interested in Leonard, who somewhat shared her family's intellectual pursuits. Just about every performance featured in "HOWARDS END" struck me as first-rate. I could not think of one misstep within the cast - at least as performances were concerned. Mind you, I thought casting Matthew MacFadyen and Julia Ormond as Henry and Ruth Wilcox was a bit problematic. Especially since Ormond is nearly a decade older than MacFadyen. But I cannot deny that both gave excellent performances. Ormond did a great job in portraying a soft-spoken and graceful woman who was not only in a state of physical decline, but also managed to exact a strong will over her family. I was really surprised by MacFadyen's portrayal of Henry Wilcox, but I thought he gave a fabulous performance as the domineering, yet short-sighted businessman who reeked of toxic masculinity. Although his appearance in the miniseries was brief, I thought Jonah Hauer-King gave a solid portrayal of the younger Wilcox son, Paul. Bessie Carter and Yolanda Kettle struck me as equally solid as Henry's only daughter, Evie Wilcox and Charles' bride and later wife, Dolly Wilcox. But I was very impressed by Joe Bannister's portrayal of elder son Charles Wilcox. I thought he did an excellent job of conveying the character's conservative and brutish nature without any taint of cartoonish acting. Alex Lawther gave an excellent performance as the eccentric and self-absorbed Tibby Schlegel. Why do people assume that performers known for comedy would have such difficulty in dealing with dramatic roles? I never understood this attitude, considering comedy is known for being more difficult to perform. Tracy Ullman, who portrayed the Schlegels' Aunt Juley Mund had no difficulty in seamlessly utilizing both comedy and drama in her first-rate portrayal of the meddling, conventional, yet well-meaning woman. I thought Rosalind Eleazar gave an exceptional performance as Jacky Bast, a former prostitute who also happened to be Leonard's ill-fated woman. Eleazar managed to infuse a sense of desperation in Jacky, who struggled unsuccessfully to keep her and Leonard from falling into some kind of social and economic abyss. It seemed good to see Hayley Atwell in a properly dramatic role, after spending years appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films and television shows. I thought she gave a first-rate portrayal as Margaret Schlegel, the warm and strong-will sibling of the Schlegel family. Atwell did an excellent job of conveying Margaret's most admirable traits and at the same time, exposing the character's more questionable ones with great subtlety. I especially admire her performance in one scene in which she tried to force Henry to face his hypocritical refusal to forgive Helen's state as an unmarried mother, in comparison to his adulterous past with Jacky Bast. Joseph Quinn recently made a name for himself as an eccentric high school student during Season Four of the Netflix series, "STRANGER THINGS". But I was more than impressed by his portrayal of the intellectual wannabe, Leonard Bast, who found himself befriending the Schlegel sisters. Quinn did a great job in not only portraying Leonard's intelligence and longing for intellectual pursuits, but also his growing insecurities as he found his life being drawn even closer to the Schlegels and the Wilcoxes. But if I had to vote for the best performance in "HOWARDS END", I would select Australian actress, Philippa Coulthard. I thought she gave a superb performance as the younger Schlegel sister, Helen. I really admired how Coulthard conveyed Helen's emotional journey throughout the story; especially in scenes that featured Helen's scathing commentary on the Wilcox family, her growing hostility toward Margaret's romance with Henry Wilcox, her complicated relationship with Leonard and especially her anger at the Basts' destitute situation in the wake of Henry's poor employment advice. One aspect of "HOWARDS END" that really took me by surprise was the excellent qualities of the miniseries' production values. Mind you, Sheena Napier's costume designs never attracted the same kind of acclaim that those from the 1992 movie. If I must be honest, I actually enjoyed her designs (as shown below):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I found them quite colorful and beautiful without being too stylized or glamourous. Considering the characters viewers are dealing with, that seemed sufficient to me. I also enjoyed Wojciech Szepel's beautiful photography, especially in locations in London, Dorset and Buckinghamshire. But what really blew my mind were Luke Hull's production designs. I thought he did a superb job in re-creating Edwardian England, especially those scenes shot and set in London. While watching the miniseries, I felt as if someone had dropped me squarely back into London circa 1905-1906. "HOWARDS END" managed to score a good number of award nominations, but I noticed that most of them came from lesser award organizations. It did win the BAFTA Award for Best Miniseries, but that was about it. No other nominations from BAFTA, no nominations from the Golden Globes or the Emmys. And all I can say is . . . "what the hell?" "HOWARDS END" proved to be one of the best television limited series I have seen in years. It became a critical darling from the media. Yet, it did not earn or win any major nominations, aside from the BAFTA Best Miniseries award? Were people so busy comparing it to the 1992 Merchant-Ivory film that they were blinded by its own merits? Hell, I believe it is just as good as the 90s film in its own way. I thought Hettie MacDonald, screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan had created an exceptionally first-rate miniseries that featured superb performances from a cast led by Hayley Atwell, Matthew MacFadyen and Philippa Coulthard. Perhaps one day, many other than the media, will appreciate it on its own merits.

some of my favorite agents of shield fun facts (season 3 edition) (part 1!!)
season one & two fun facts are on my page!! this may be the last season i do though :)
- the little tagline they used in the writers room for season two was “what will i become?” to reference skye’s new powers and learning about her family, coulson’s new position as director, and other character changes. in season three the tagline became “what have i become?” showing the characters evolution into season three and onwards.
- many of the writers also said that the season focused on emotional balance between characters. it was focused on the emotional connection between may & andrew, daisy & lincoln, coulson & rosalind, and fitz & simmons.
- after being taken by the monolith at the end of season two, elizabeth got no confirmation that jemma was alive and she still had a job playing her until being brought back for season three months later.
- the writers were a bit unsure of mack’s character evolution after season two but when they saw henry simmons acting they immediately saw “leading man material” and began to discuss him as a possible director.
- they had a “skye jar” in the writers room when writing season three because everyone kept forgetting daisy and writing skye.
- apparently jed & maurissa’s newborn guest starred in the first episode [03x01] sometime during the opening scene with joey. i watched the episode on Disney+ and i couldn’t find her though, maybe y’all can! [the bts picture i found has her in a blue stroller, dm me for the pic if you want!]
- the inhuman lash is played by matthew willig, a former NFL offensive tackle. he was chosen because not only his huge stature but his previous acting work. he had to take 4 hours in the makeup chair daily for the role.
- the character rosalind price was created to give coulson a role other than “the surrogate father”. both the writers and clark wanted to give him a romantic role. however, when they talked about her to the costume department they described her as a “female coulson”.
- as skye was written as the “eyes of the audience” in season one and bobbi was the same for season two, the writers created the character of joey gutierrez as the eyes of the audience of season 3 with inhumans.
- the writers created the relationship between daisy introducing joey into shield/inhumans to mirror coulson introducing skye into shield back in season one.
- joey’s character was supposed to be a more permanent character in the following seasons but actor who plays him, juan pablo raba, had just booked another show and he couldn’t do both.
- according to the costume designers, they describe coulson’s season three look as his “bad ass civilian look”
———
i am working on more season three facts rn, but i wanted to post some now!! also i wanted to take this time to show my support for the writers currently on strike (some of which wrote the scenes we love in aos!), they ask so little for the amazing work they do and i hope they get what they deserve in the near future !!

Snow fight: Matt Murdock x reader
Tumblr media
Christmas bingo day 7 : snow fight
***
Spending the Christmas at Nelson’s family was as magical as it was unexpected.
To put it bluntly, Y/N wanted nothing more, than to have a quiet, peaceful holiday season after a very shitty year, preferably spending three days in Matt’s arms with no care in the world or other people. Just them in their little bubble in his apartment in hell’s kitchen wrapped up in the blanket, drinking hot chocolate and enjoying each other’s company, without the necessity to patch his wounds and stop his bleeding after a night of Daredeviling.
Instead, she was thrown into quite a different situation, being invited to spend the Christmas eve and two following days at Nelson’s family household. Couldn’t be further from the little scenario she created in her head, from her little paradise.
“But Matty –“ she pouted when he broke the news to her one night after she got back from work.
“Don’t give me that look sweetie.” He chuckled turning to face her.
“You can’t see my face Matt” she rolled her eyes in fair annoyance. She didn’t like being surprised this way.
“I can see in my heart?” he teased grabbing her hand and caressing her palm in a soothing manner
“Don’t try to play me you flirt!” she scoffed but didn’t retrieve her hand.
“Come on, Y/N…” he whispered, pulling her closer “it’s gonna be fun. Foggy is my best friend and I would love you two to get to know each other better…”
“Can’t  it wait until after Christmas?” she refused to admit it even to herself, but despite the whining and fighting him, Matt’s words were slowly getting into her. How could she refuse him. He was alone most of his life and if it wasn’t for Franklin he wouldn’t know good things in life. How could she say no, when he was pleading with her like that.
“Pretty please?” he nuzzled nose into her hair. “I want you to go with me.”
“don’t use those lawyer tricks on me!”
“No tricks, just my natural charm” he smirked “appreciate your consent though”
“I didn’t say-!”
“Maybe not with words. “
***
The feast and whole celebration was spectacular to say the least. And the fact that she was reluctant to take part in spending time with those people, who didn’t even know her and yet accepted her without as much as a blink of an eye would forever be a burden on her conscience.
“Matthew Murdock!” Franklin’s mother greeted him on the doorstep with the widest smile ever “My god! Haven’t seen you in ages, young man!” it only took a second before she pulled him into a bear hug.
“Not so young anymore, Rosalind” Matt chuckled, but the woman’s attention was already on Y/N who was nervously twisting her fingers, standing behind Matt’s back, unsure of what to do.
“And who may you be, cutie? Did the Murdock boy finally decide to settle down?” Rosalind winked at shocked Y/N.
“Um- I- we-“
“Don’t act surprised, love. I’m pretty sure you are in for a treat from this boy. Soon.” She shot a glance at Matt, not that he could see it. “Welcome to the Nelson’s family.” Before Y/N realised what was happening she was being hugged and squeezed in the woman’s arms “it’s a pleasure to have you. Come on inside, both of you.”
***
Soon it turned out, that the rest of the Nelson’s familia was as cordial and open as the lady of the house. As a result, the dinner turned into the string of jokes and laugh and friendly atmosphere (laced with some friendly banter about Franklin choosing law career instead of pursuing family business as a butcher).
It was so easy to catch up on why Matt loved those people so much. Why he truly felt like they were his family. Y/N could only hope that one day, she and Matt would have a big, happy family of their own.
And the Nelsons obviously loved him back, which was visible in every gesture, in every word spoken. He was practically beaming, even though the only sign of his internal happiness was the slightest smile. Purposefully or not, he was seated in front of Y/N, so she had a perfect view on his handsome face, lighted up by the candles making him look more like an angel rather than the devil. Once her eyes fixed on him there was nothing and no one that could possibly stop her from daydreaming and admiring. Seeing him like this, carefree, light, enjoying the moment without the planning, worrying and carrying the weight of the world on her shoulder.
Best Christmas gift in the world…
To the point where she couldn’t help a little dreamy sigh, that immediately caused her eyes to grow wide and to turn around slightly embarrassed, checking whether anyone heard it.
Luckily, everyone seemed to be too consumed by talking and eating and having fun.
Everyone except Franklin.
Franklin Percy Nelson, who only smiled friendly at Y/N and nodded in silent understanding.
Clearly Y/N was accepted by the entire Matt’s stepfamily and only then she realised that subconsciously she has been a bit worried about it.  And those little smiles and sympathetic looks were enough to make her feel at home.
***
“so now, tell me, was it worth all the stubbornness?” Matt teased as they were walking back to his apartment with hearts and bellies full. “Cause from what I can tell you quite enjoyed the –“
“Not another word Murdock.” She warned stopping in the middle of the street, her cheeks reddening a little.
“I’m not blaming you. Rosalind’s eggnog hits even the strongest heads. “also, I didn’t know you had such a good voice. Especially when you’re-“
“Don’t you dare finishing it!”
“- drunk.” He smirked.
“Oh, you little-!” she immediately bend and started making snow balls throwing them at him.
“You want a snow fight with me, sunshine?” he laughed gracefully avoiding all of the snow missiles. “You know you stand no chance.”
“That’s cause you’re cheating!” she squealed and started running when he launched a counterattack.
“cheating?” he rushed after her though the empty streets of New York “I’m blind, remember?! Don’t run away from me!”
“I-“ she made a mistake of choosing the bad turn and found herself in a dead end.
“Got you!” he grabbed her from behind, spinning her in his arms so she could face him.
“Oh no!” she mocked “I surrender! What will you do now?”
“You’re my lobster, Y/N.”
“Oh now you’re watching friends?”
“Of course, how else would I express my deepest feelings if not referring to the classis love story of Ross and Rachel.”
“You’re impossible.”
“Of course.” He pulled her even closer, taking a moment to create some tension. “I love you.” He whispered kissing her forehead. “don’t ever run away from me.”
“I promise.”

the character graveyard — a creator's lament
a wall of snow keeps you hidden, it's true.
my hands tainted. I buried you all myself.
some of you live, just barely, breathing through a straw in your graves. an illusion of existence.
some of you never had the chance. your lives extinguished before you could fully form.
massacre.
your god has not forsaken you, I plead.
though I am god and she is merciless. by circumstance, not design.
I come to acknowledge you. you forgotten ones, the ones I hid, the ones who died by my hand and the ones who fizzled from existence before I could reach them. I gather you here today. to recognise you. mourn you. immortalise you.
I raise my chalice to each of you.
here's to the faceless ones. the ones I never named. the ones who had nothing but a name. a vibe. a role. a disembodied something. you hadn't enough love or care. I'm sorry.
here's to the fleeting ones. ones who existed in passing. to assist another's narrative. to enhance the world.

i need to work it more, but instead of karen going the full reporter route exactly; what if her articles and pieces, are talking points or essays she reads on the air, over the radio, for a midnight show.
given how much i love her paige angel arc in the comics, so for context;
the paige angel arc starts, after her and matt have gotten back together, and karen's been looking for a job. matt and foggy are going to work for rosalind sharpe.
she finds work at a radio station WSFK, which she does momentarily keep from matthew, given she knows what is said about this station; that is has connection to the mob. she keeps this parly becaue she isn't certain matt would approve
(do not worry paige angel is one of their healthiest relationship arcs; besides when matt kisses natasha three times; seriously the amount of times matt is kissed by other women when he is with karen is a lot more than twice)
her producers are shady, heavily have to censor her or ward her off topics
matt finds out about paige angel (her alias) by listening, one night when she's taking calls about daredevil and people's theories on him; he calls in as "mike" and subtly tells her that he approves of her new job, she realizes its matt as he hangs up (its very cute)
things stay good, before Fear starts fucking with everyone, and the radio station closes down. skipping some details (like the whole nat thing; starts with matt concerned friend, but he doesn't exactly tell nat to stop nor stops thinking about nat like that while with karen; neveer tells her) and moving ahead. rosalind sharpe, who is biologically foggy's mother, ends up purchasing/saving the radio and securing karen's job back
which when that happens, it is revealed, that karen was very controversial for the WSFK station, due to well, it was a mob owned radio, and karen is anti-mob and was daredevil-positive. matt even says he admires that karen was brave enough to take a job there, and be the one good thing among the bad / the angel against the devil / light in the dark (that is literally the theme of paige angel arc for karen)
she resumes being paige angel and working midnight radio, now with more freedom than ever (which is why i think the idea of her being the radio host for vigilantes as an arc i wanna take into the mcu is one i wanna play) to say and do as she wants on air
the paige angel arc ends when she gets a stalker who has been calling in, sends her a human heart to the station, and then subsequently kills about ten people in her name; one of which, is a cop, whom karen is framed for the murder of (and that is such a rough, sad, and scary arc for her; as the mal prison guards threaten to r-word and the female guards attempt to physically assault her)
she is kept safe by elektra in disguise as another prisoner in jail; while matt tries to save karen in court. she is saved and thus ends the paige angel and trial of karen page arcs.
so expect me to play around with this, in the mcu setting, as i do love the idea of karen specifically using her voice, to say what she has to say, as well as take in calls, and bring the news and challenge theories over the radio air.

Newcrest Occupied, War is Over!
Tumblr media
A secret invasion of Newcrest last night proved successful in capturing the usurpers and removing the last obstacle to the end to the war!
With Victor captured and all of the lands he previously invaded now occupied by the Simsdom Empire, the only thing that stood in the way of calling an official end to the war, was the usurper Stefano, who still held Newcrest, but no longer!
Tumblr media
Last night, Allied forces stormed New Moon Palace and were able to take the castle from the usurpers sqautting there- Stefano and Justine- as well as capturing Victor's granddaughter, Princess Emma, who was there as part of a treaty between Newcrest and Windenburg. The treaty engaged Princess Emma to Stefano's son, Damien, but after the capture of the palace, he was nowhere to be found. Sources are saying he was sent to train with Windenburgian Military Forces, and his current location is now lost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Princess Emma, however, was found safe and sound. She has become a ward of the Allied Nations in light of her father's arrest- official guardianship of the Princess will be decided during the trials.
Tumblr media
Speaking of trials- Her Imperial Majesty gave a speech this morning after the successful capture of Newcrest, announcing the official end to the war!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Tsarina gave a moving speech, recognizing those we have lost in this battle against tyrrany, and thanking those who have sacrified the most to win this war.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was accompanied by her husband and children, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Queen Misha and King Cesare of Newcrest, for the speech- all who have done their part in serving the war effort, or who have been personally affected by it, or both. Both Prince Consort Matthew and Prince Benedict served in the Imperial Navy, and the Crown Princess managed that navy, as commander of the Britechester Brigade. Princess Rosalind was a hostage to Windenburgian forces in Selvadorada, and King Cesare and Queen Misha have been living in exile since the invasion of Newcrest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
HIM declared that as of 8am this morning, the war was officially over. The fates of those who were arrested during the war, as well as what will become of Windenburg as a sovereign state, will be decided during a set of trials overseen by representatives from each of the Allied Nations. The Empress has already announced that she has been voted to act as Foreperson for the Jury, and that the representatives are on their way to Glimmerbrooke as we speak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Justice and fair sentence will be passed to those who either helped or hindered the cause of freedom. After the trials are over, the sovereign leaders of the occupied states will be placed back in authority, and Allied Forces will return home.
Can we just say.... hallellujah! Finally! The war is over!!
