To celebrate Koresh Dance Company’s 25th year, Roni Koresh partnered with experimental composer Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky, and with co-producer Stephen Levitin, aka Apple Juice Kid, to produce "23: Deconstructing Mozart."
In this twist on the classical, Miller and Levitin disarticulate and rebuild portions of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, while Koresh combines the industrial and the lyrical to produce a potent remix of his precise, athletic style.
"23" premiered in March 2016 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre in Philadelphia.

Chatting with BSR during a recent rehearsal, Koresh laughs when he remembers starting to teach in this country. “They called me the sergeant,” he says, because the only way he knew to teach came from the discipline of his army experience. “Everything has to be done at one hundred percent.” That part hasn’t changed, he admits.

"The award ceremony held during a gala concert of the festival on 23 November was a sell-out. According to choreographer and head of the Koresh Dance Company Ronen Koresh, this is a testament to a bright future for the modern dance."
