1997: Callaway C7-R - an amazing Gt-1 (S1) effort by the Callaway group of Corvette tuners. This car actually led at the halfway mark at Daytona in ‘97. I had the hotwheels toy car version of this as a kid, and I kind of remember the actual car at the ‘97 race.

Top 08 Tyres Company In World.
What is tyre?
Firstly know the difference between Tire and Tyre. A Tire (American English) or Tyre (British English, see spelling difference). So, Tyre is a ring-shaped component that surrounds a wheel's rim to transfer a vehicle's load from the axle through the wheel to the ground and to provide traction on the surface over which the wheel travels. Most tyres, such as automobiles and bicycles are pneumatically inflated cushion that absorbs shocks as the tyre rolls over rough features in the surface. Tyres provide a footprint called a contact patch, that is designed to match the weight of the vehicle with the bearing strength of the surface that it rolls over by providing a bearing pressure that will not deform the surface excessively. Lets start the topic.

Just get the phone number, and since you already have that info, they usually less reluctant to finish signing up if they don have an account. I also like to ask if they have the phone number of anybody who shops at Ulta frequently if they really determined not to sign up. Still get some no but it helps. There are different types of writing diversity, first of all. There's race specific characters and non race specific characters. (I'm just saying "race" for ease but goes for queer characters, women characters, etc as well) A non race specific character is one where the story doesn't really deal with "race issues" much, so the character could be any race and it wouldn't change the story. I've always thought I'd like to wear a veil if I ever got married. Marshall says to have it if I want to. Isn't that like a man?". The title makes perfect sense if you seen the movie, though. Half of the characters in the movie are alternate universe versions of Spider Man. Peter Parker (from Miles universe), Miles Morales, Peter B. BUT, I find that if I use a gel lip tint as a and then put the Laneige on top, I pretty much can just press my lips together a couple times and get a fairly effortless gradient look. The Maybelline ones are also really drying and are matte while the Laneige ones are a little more moisturising and have a bit of shine. I think overall, if we talking about gradient lips, I pick the Laneige ones over Maybelline. I don't like Rolex cyclops much and yes it did annoy me, until I tried to read the date. It's so much more legible with a cyclops. White face, black hands and the cyclops make the E2 my easiest watch to read at a quick glance. Booby/blob same as above, but with a booby fly or blob fly on point (end). This creates a unique buoyancy which really creates neat movement of the flies. This works the same as above, the reason I'd change is if the fish want a ton of movement, or if I need to pick my flies up from off the bottom.. What happens next is arguably the toughest yet most beautiful 24 hours of my life. We wake up around evening, and we see snow all around us. Now it's important to understand that we never realised the weather would get so bad so some of us don't have sleeping bags, some are fighting for oxygen (mostly smokers), some are vomiting. Of water) example: if you weight a 150 lbs. Drink 75 oz. Of water a day), plus probiotics, fiber, activated charcoal and a detoxing product like spirulina or Turmeric.. He refined his art of pastry at school in Paris. Since the late 1980s,he has been the pastry chef at various multi starred restaurants in Paris and New York and has shared a kitchen with such famous chefs as Alain Ducasse 부천출장마사지 and Daniel Boulud. In 1997, he opened his own patisserie and bistro named "Payard's " in New York and subsequently opened restaurants 부천출장마사지 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and on Long Island.","alternativeHeadline":null}Nicoise: Means "as prepared in Nice," a city on the French Rivera. Thx for the support! She acted pretty much the same at first but at some point it got kind of awkward as I pulled back and stopped engaging on a personal level. Unless she is as clueless as she is unethical, she has to know I'm on to her. Last month she transferred to another dept. To date, he has never "mistaken" someone and gotten excited over a stranger. This reaction is reserved solely for people that he considers friends. His reaction is also proportionate to how much he likes you: my parents get a 5 10 minute squeal while my close friend ex boyfriend from several years ago gets maybe a minute.

40 ANECDOTES ARROGANTES SUR FLOYD MAYWEATHER, LE MEILLEUR DES BOXEURS
Le « Best Ever » dans toute sa splendeur…
Réponse de T.I. : « Toi tu le fais sur un ring, moi je le fais dans la rue. »

Lesen Lieben! Welttag des Buches am 23. April – Das steht an!

Italian newspapers are reporting that former IndyCar star and Formula 1 driver Alex Zanardi, who lost both of his legs after a crash at the Lausitzring in 2001, has shown signs of marked improvements after a near fatal accident on a rural Italian road in July where his paracycle collided with a truck.A correspondent for Forbes reported that the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera wrote on Zanardi's condition Monday. He was apparently able to respond to doctors and his wife Daniella with hand gestures, raising his thumb to say "OK" while also shaking hands on demand. He can't yet speak as the hole in his trachea is being kept open as a precaution.Zanardi was leading a tour for other paralyzed athletes, and practicing for the upcoming Paralympics in Japan, when he rounded a corner on a two-lane winding road near Siena and encountered a large truck. For the next week, it was a question of whether he would even live or ever come out of a coma, but now, after five brain operations, You may also like: launch obd2 scanner. he has regained his sight-thought lost for good-and his hearing.Zanardi, who won the IndyCar title in 1997 and 1998, moved to Formula 1 for a spell before returning to IndyCar, where he competed in a controversial race held just after 9/11. Some participants and fans wanted the September 15 race in Germany canceled, but it went on regardless. Zanardi, in his best race of the reason, made a pit stop then spun out onto the active oval track. There was a horrible crash and Zanardi almost died, but he was saved by extraordinary medical care, though he lost 75 percent of his blood and both legs.Rather than let the loss dictate his life, he returned to the cockpit of race cars using hand controls, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2019 where he drove a BMW M8 GTE, turning laps very close to those of his able co-drivers. He also became a world-champion Paralympic cyclist and was training for what would likely have been his last appearance. COVID-19 canceled the 2020 Paralympics, with tentative plans to hold them in late 2021.

Patrick Dempsey
Patrick Galen Dempsey is an American actor and racing driver, best known for his role as neurosurgeonDerek "McDreamy" Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy, starring with Ellen Pompeo (Dr. Meredith Grey). He saw early success as an actor, starring in a number of films in the 1980s, including Can't Buy Me Love (1987) and Loverboy (1989).
Born on January 13, 1966 in Lewiston, Maine, the youngest of three children, Dempsey dropped out of high school to tour as a juggler and magician. He eventually segued into theater, performing in several plays including the lead role in Brighton Beach Memoirs in San Francisco and The Subject was Roses in New York City. He did his first film at the age of 21 in ‘The Mood’.
I first heard about Patrick Dempsey when a friend of mine mentioned that he had come second place at the 24 hours le mans race. I later watched the rerun and then came across his various other works which kinda interested me.
He is quite inspirational. He is a perfect example of a person who is passionate and does what he loves. Dempsey has had dyslexia since the age of 12. He often thought that he was stupid and found it really hard to memorise his dialogues. Despite his dyslexic condition, he still is an actor which is something I really really admire about him.
Another thing I admire about ‘The Great Patrick Dempsey’ is that he is a cancer philanthropist. Patrick has his own cancer center to support cancer patients. ‘The Dempsey Center’ was founded by him in the year 2008 with the intention of giving back to the community where he grew up, and where his mother first received cancer treatment in 1997.
Dempsey does a lot of charitable work. He supports a number of foundations such as American Foundation for Aids Research, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, Avon Foundation, and The Tony Hawk Foundation.
However, the thing I admire the most about Patrick Dempsey is his work in the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. I think he has really played the role of Derek Shepherd (Mcdreamy) in the best way possible and I personally feel no other actor would’ve been able to play the role better than him. In addition to his work on Grey's Anatomy, Dempsey has taken on a few film roles. He plays Tripp Kenedy, a man caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies at the same bank who desperately tries to protect the teller with whom he's secretly in love with in the movie ‘Flypaper’. He acts really well in that movie and aces the character he plays.
He then later reunited with former co-star Hilary Swank for Freedom Writers (2007). In this drama, Swank played a teacher trying to improve the lives of her at-risk youths and Dempsey appeared as her husband. In his next film project, he has taken on lighter fare - a romantic comedy with a fantastical twist.
I also think he acted really well in the 2007 movie ‘Enchanted’ as Robert Philip, a lawyer who falls for a princess from long ago who has been sent to modern times by an evil queen. He has really killed it in this movie and acted so well, that it makes this movie a part of my top 5 movies of all time.
Racing - In 2014, Dempsey told Reuters in the Hockenheimring support paddock at the German Grand Prix that motor racing was not just a hobby, and had become as much a part of who he is as acting. He said, "It's all-consuming in many ways. I couldn't imagine not racing right now. It really keeps me motivated. It's all I think about on a daily basis."
Dempsey, who maintains an extensive sports and vintage car collection, has enjoyed auto racing during his spare time for several years. Before the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013, he said that he would like to compete full-time, telling Eurosport:
“I would like to make that [motorsports] a complete priority and just focus on this full-time. If I could just walk away from acting, I think I could do that very easily, and just focus on the driving, I would love that more than anything else.”
He has competed in prestigious pro-am events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car race, and Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race. He was a co-owner of the Vision Racing IndyCar Series team and current owner of Dempsey Racing, which is presently racing two Porsche 911 GT America's in the Tudor United Sports Car Series. He participated in this series as often as his schedule allowed, although insurance restrictions kept him from driving competitively while also filming a motion picture. In 2009, he raced a Team Seattle Advanced Engineering Ferrari F430 GT in the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans's GT2 class and finished ninth in class.
After debuting at the 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans, Dempsey returned to France four years later and competed in a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR at the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. Dempsey and his co-drivers finished 29th overall and fourth in-class.
In January 2013, Dempsey announced that his company (Global Baristas) had secured the winning bid to purchase Seattle-based Tully's Coffee, which had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in October. Dempsey's bid of $9.15M was enough to secure Tully's over the bids of six others including Starbucks. Dempsey's company will control 47 Tully's locations in the Seattle area, but not the online business which had been purchased by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in 2009. Following a legal dispute with investor group Global Baristas, Dempsey left the group, in effect officially leaving his managerial positions with Tully's.
Dempsey was married to actress and manager Rocky parker from 1987 to 1994. He later married makeup artist Jillian Fink in 1999. The couple had a daughter, Talula Fyfe, and twin boys, Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick.
In January 2015, after nearly 15 years together, Fink filed for divorce.
In my personal opinion, I think that Patrick Dempsey is a very determined and skilled at his job and really cares about others. He is a type of person who wants to do good for the world. We can see this by the number of foundations that he supports for cancer, aids etc.
Being a big fan of Greys Anatomy, us, grey fans were really upset when they killed his character on the show. He had left the show for personal reasons which put him under a lot of scrutiny and hate for apparently ‘screwing up the show’. He later came back in the show with a bang which surprised all the viewers of the show. Patrick Dempsey is really someone I look up to.
Hope you learnt something new about Patrick Dempsey and his life.
Until next time
Adiós!

Paralympic gold medalist Alex Zanardi on how he’s able to race at Daytona
Enlarge / Zanardi in the paddock. He is almost as fast in this chair as he is in the race car—I'm surprised he hasn't been given a penalty for speeding in the pit lane! (credit: Elle Cayabyab Gitlin)
Although we usually cover our own travel arrangements, in this case Rolex flew me to Orlando and provided two nights in a hotel in Daytona Beach.
One of the biggest buzzes at this year's Rolex 24 at Daytona was the presence of one Alex Zanardi, racing in one of the two BMW M8 GTEs. Racing fans will remember Zanardi from his time in single seaters. There was a spell in F1 with the Williams team, but he's primarily known by the racing crowd as a double champion in the open-wheel CART series (in 1997 and 1998). In 2001, after returning to CART, he lost both his legs in a horrific crash at the Lausitzring in Germany in 2001. Other sports fans may well know him for his post-crash success in handcycling; he's won multiple marathons (Venice, 2009, Rome, 2010, New York, 2011) as well as gold medals in the 2012 and 2016 Paralympics.
Oh, and he's kept driving, too. First in the World Touring Car Championship from 2004-2009, with wins in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009, then more recently in the Blancpain Sprint Series in 2014, all with BMW. But this year's Rolex 24 saw him added to BMW's roster for the #24 BMW Team RLL M8 GTE, where he was just one of the car's four drivers (the other three of whom were all able-bodied).

19th BMW Art Car will Feature in the 55th Rolex 24
The 2017 motor racing season will shift up a gear, when BMW Motorsport, BMW Team RLL and BMW of North America launch their 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) campaign on 28th/29th January at the classic Daytona International Speedway. At the biggest 24-hour race in North America, BMW Team RLL will have the rare honor of racing a BMW Art Car, only the ninth of the 19-car BMW Art Car Collection to race since the program’s start in 1975. John Baldessari (USA), one of the world’s most respected conceptual artists, joins luminaries such as Alexander Calder (1975), Andy Warhol (1979) and Jeff Koons (2010) as an Art Car creator.
The BMW M6 continues as the foundation of BMW’s effort in international sports car racing in 2017, and BMW Team RLL will continue to race two BMW M6 GTLM specification cars in the IWSC. The line-up of the number 19 BMW M6 GTLM Art Car features veteran Bill Auberlen (USA) and BMW works driver Alexander Sims (GBR). Sims was part of the winning ROWE Racing team with the BMW M6 GT3 at last year’s 24-hour race in Spa-Francorchamps (BEL). The regular drivers will be supported by DTM stars Augusto Farfus (BRA) and Bruno Spengler (CAN). Both Farfus and Spengler raced the BMW M6 GTLM at Daytona last year with Auberlen and Dirk Werner (GER), finishing fifth in the debut race for the car. For Auberlen, the 48-year-old Californian, the honour of racing a BMW Art Car falls on the 20th anniversary of his first win for BMW at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 1997.
John Edwards (USA) and Martin Tomczyk (GER) will anchor the number 24 BMW M6 GTLM this season. Edwards, who begins his fifth season racing for BMW, will be joined by BMW works driver Tomczyk, now focusing on GT competition after 16 successful seasons in the DTM. As he did last season, Kuno Wittmer (CAN) will race the number 24 BMW M6 GTLM in the four endurance rounds (Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans). At Daytona, Nicky Catsburg (NLD) will be the fourth driver. Catsburg co-drove to a second-place GTD finish in last year’s Rolex 24.
In its eight seasons of North American sports car competition, BMW Team RLL has posted 13 victories among 60 podium finishes, winning the American Le Mans Series Manufacturer and Team championships in 2010 and repeating the feat and adding the driver title in 2011. Beginning with the BMW M3 GT2 in 2009, the team successfully introduced the BMW Z4 GTLM in 2013 and the BMW M6 GTLM in 2016.

Golfer New Zealand "2 on" sau quyết định mạo hiểm. Đáng tiếc rằng, cô chỉ giữ par do mất đến ba putt mới xong hố.

Faça a diferença neste mundo.”

2019 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion: IMSA Birthday Blowout
Monterey Car Week is an intense and whirlwind display of automotive excellence. Over the years the number of the events that occur in mid-August of each year seems to have grown exponentially. There are car shows, car parades, car auctions, cars park in parking lots, cars on the streets. Whatever one’s preference, it can be found during Car Week. Sure, the famous linchpin of Car Week is the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, and we don’t dismiss its prestige or importance, but for us the track at WeatherTech Laguna Seca Raceway and the Monterey Motorsports Reunion is where the magic really happens. Nothing in the world gets us more excited than Car Week and no event more than the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
We preach the gospel at every opportunity. On the first night of this year’s garage stalking sessions of Cannery Row looking for hypercars we met some young men also on the treasure hunt. Happy to see any young person looking for car photos and not tracking down Pokeman warms our hearts, and we took a few moments to explain to these young gentlemen that no matter what hypercar you find crawling the streets during Car Week, the track is where the real education begins. No garage queens or hermetically sealed art pieces. The cars at the Reunion span almost 100 years of automotive history and each one hits the track at some point in the weekend.
When it was announced that this year’s event would focus on the International Motor Sports Association’s (IMSA) 50th birthday, we got excited….very excited indeed.
Before we get into the event, some of you might need a primer on exactly what IMSA is. Discussing a sport’s sanctioning body isn’t all that sexy, but it is relevant. 50 years of anything is worth talking about, and 50 years of some of the best auto racing on the planet is doubly so.
From IMSA.com:
“The sanctioning body was founded in 1969 by John Bishop with the assistance of NASCAR President Bill France Sr. Bishop was a 12-year employee of the Sports Car Club of America, who elected to follow his own vision for professional road racing. Bishop and his wife, Peggy, brought a family-style feel to the organization, based in Bridgeport, Conn.
The first IMSA-sanctioned race was at Pocono International Raceway in Oct., 1969, a Formula Ford and Formula Vee event that paid $3,000 and attracted 348 spectators. Bishop abandoned his plans for open-wheel competition by the end of 1970, concentrating on forming a six-race series in 1971 for FIA Group 2 and Group 4 sports cars, along with “Baby Grand” stock cars.
That series became the IMSA GT Series . The R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company began sponsoring what became Camel GT in 1972, and the series quickly gained in popularity. Bishop’s vision of adding prototype sports cars in the early 1980s proved to be a huge success, and the series thrived throughout the 1980s with many of the top names in U.S. and international sports cars battling on North America’s top road circuits in Porsche, Jaguar, Ford, Nissan, Chevrolet and Toyota Camel GTP Prototypes.
In addition to the GTP Prototypes , Camel GT also featured Camel Lights Prototypes and production-based competition in the GTO, GTU and American GT classes. IMSA also sanctioned American stock cars in the Kelly American Challenge; small sedans in the Champion Spark Plug Challenge; production cars in the Firestone Firehawk Endurance Championship; exotics in the Bridgestone Super Car Championship; and open-wheel cars in the Barber Saab Pro Series.
Bishop sold the organization to Florida businessmen Mike Cone and Jeff Parker in 1989. The company was relocated to Tampa, Fla. With a sharp drop in participation in the GTP class due to a challenging economy, IMSA announced a shift to a revolutionary concept for 1994, introducing the World Sports Car, an open-cockpit prototype.
There were many additional changes for 1994. Florida businessman and GT racer Charlie Slater purchased IMSA. Exxon USA took over sponsorship of the series, which became the EXXON World Sports Car Championship, while GT competition took place in the EXXON Supreme GT Series.
In September 1996, the International Motor Sports Group – a conglomerate including Roberto Mueller and Andy Evans – purchased IMSA and changed its name to Professional SportsCar Racing for 1997.
Many changes took place over the following three years. The United States Road Racing Championship sanctioned races with the assistance of the Sports Car Club of America in 1998-99.
While originally affiliated with the USRRC, Don Panoz departed to hold the inaugural Petit Le Mans endurance race at Road Atlanta in 1998. He expanded that concept into a full series in 1999, the American Le Mans Series. He envisioned bringing European-style endurance sports car racing to America – highlighted by the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans. Panoz also acquired rights to IMSA, which became the sanctioning body for the organization.
Faced without a sanctioning body for Daytona International Speedway’s flagship road race, Jim France put together a team of investors who shared his vision for a new North American sports car championship to carry on the legacy of the series co-founded by his father, Bill France Sr., 30 years earlier. GRAND-AM Road Racing debuted with the 2000 running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona, and ran its opening three seasons with similar classes to the ALMS.
From its birth in 1999, the ALMS proclaimed its racing “For the Fans,” and built a loyal group of followers. The series later undertook a number of initiatives to become recognized as the Global Leader in Green Racing, gaining both national and international recognition for its Green Racing protocols.
GRAND-AM took a radical step when it introduced the Daytona Prototype as its lead class beginning in 2003. The new car became popular with both fans and drivers for its durability, affordability and safety. The DP attracted competitors from NASCAR, IndyCar and international sports car racing, especially to GRAND-AM’s marquee events at Daytona, Watkins Glen and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
While both series were successful on their own, it became apparent that they would have to combine in order to grow the sport. The two groups announced in Sept. 2012 they would merge into one organization beginning with the 2014 season. Fittingly, it was also announced that the unified series would be sanctioned by IMSA.
IMSA's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship opens with a pair of historic events – the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring fueled by Fresh from Florida – building on the vision of John Bishop and Bill France Sr. from 45 years ago.”
In a nutshell, if you’ve enjoyed professional racing in the US for the last 50 years, IMSA has had some hand in insuring that it was safe, well managed and indeed, professional. Our hats are off to IMSA for their work and dedication to the stewardship of our favorite sport.
And now, on to the show…..
And what a show it was. As we expected from the release of the entry list, (550 cars in 14 groups) the paddock of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was packed with awesome. Along with the cars we’re reunited with almost every year, there were many cars we’d never seen before. It’s crazy to think that after watching and reading about racing for over 20 years that there’d be anything new to see. But there was a lot to take in…more curves, more wings, more cylinders, more paint & chrome and more history. Adding to the diversity this year, and as noted in our report on the Sonoma Speed Festival, is the inclusion of “later” model cars that now fall under the banner of “vintage” and/or “historic race cars. We’re not complaining…we’re glad to see all of the diversity. We love that one event can highlight cars made with wood and bicycle pumps at the same event with cars made of computers and carbon fiber. To prove the point take a look at the 1916 National AC on the left and the Audi R8 LMP on the right.
Along with the standard historic/vintage fare, a few major automakers flashed some of their new wares in the paddock. Not surprisingly, the biggest attraction by far was Chevrolet’s new C8 Corvette in a new color called called Zeus Brown. Based on what we’d seen of the C8 from the internet over the past few weeks, our jury is till out on the new Vette. Unfortunately, seeing it in about the most unexciting color, did’t exactly help us deliver our verdict on it. Though admittedly not our cup of tea, we were glad to finally see one in the flesh.
On the other end of the excitement spectrum was the car Ford brought to the party. As you may or may not know, Ford is discontinuing its factory GT racing program….but they’re launching one last salvo. Ford Performance and Canada’s Multimatic Inc. are making a limited run of 45 track only Mk II cars that will set folks back $1.2 million (starting price). This monster with sport enhanced aero kit and a 3.5 liter EcoBoost engine (and a cool snorkel intake!!!). Ford did’t play it safe on their presentation. Heck, they didn’t even show it in one of their heritage liveries. This beauty sported the same Ford/Multimatic livery featured at the car’s debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month. Not over the top…just right!
Just outside the main paddock, in the lagoon area, were a few equally sensational cars from a couple of the world’s smallest automakers, presented by Michelin. Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus doubled down with a spectacular blue carbon SCG003 and the outrageous new Steve McQueen homage, the SCG Boot. We’ve been waiting to be in the presence of any SCG and now, of a sudden, there were two. We were unprepared for the blue carbon magnitude of the 003 and completely astounded by the radical look and sheer girth of the Boot (that we didn’t even know existed).
The very next day, in the same spot, we were blown away again by the presence of not one, but two Koenigseggs. I was so thrown by seeing the new Jesko (pronounced Yess-Ko), I didn’t notice the second car, a lovely two tone Agera RS. Speaking of the Agera, the Jesko, a tribute to the founder’s father, will be the Agera’s successor. This twin turbocharged aerodynamic masterpiece will produce over 1,200 horsepower on pump gas and cost around $2.8 million. Year after year, Michelin’s lagoon display inspires awe.
BMW had a heavy presence at the Reunion with four iconic racers The 1975 Group 4 3.0 CSL, the 1999 V12 LMR, the 2001 E46 M3 GTR and the 2011 E92 M3 GT. These cars all competed in the Masters Endurance Legends class, involving two 40 minute races. The BMW V12 LMR in the hands of long time BMW driver Bill Auberlin put on a masterclass in Sunday’s 40 minute race. After going off track in the opening laps Auberlen fought back to second place. Watching a seasoned professional racing driver carve his way way through a field of legendary endurance racing machines is, to use an overused adjective, epic. Even by today’s standards the Williams and BMW developed V12 sings a song like no other, and looks just as fast as it did on its first win at the ‘99 12 hours of Sebring in the hands of Tom Kristensen, Jorg Muller, and JJ Lehto. This collaboration between BMW and Formula 1’s Willams team produced only four examples of the LMR.
The fun wasn’t over. Making a return to the Reunion was McLaren’s two-time Formula 1 world champion, Mika Hakkinen. The Flying Finn was on had to drive demonstration laps in the 1970 McLaren M8D/3 “Batmobile” Can-Am racer. While only responsible for “demonstration laps” a description leaving broad room for a driver to dial it in, or drive the wheels off. Hakkinen chose the latter and pushed the M8D/3 McLaren like he had been driving it all his life. The McLaren lacking in the aero grip of modern race cars made up for its limitations through shear and raw power with its Chevy 7 liter V8 putting out 670bhp at 6800rpm with 600 lb⋅ft (810 N⋅m) of torque. We witnessed Hakkinen clock 175mph on the main straight. Not bad for an almost 50 year old car.
It wasn’t just Hakkinen that came to put his foot down. The weekend was packed with legends of sports car racing. Brian Redman was on hand bringing back memories of his time at the 1976 Rolex 24 at Daytona where he worked on his on car while it was stopped on track. Current Team Penske driver Ricky Taylor was there as was nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen. IMSA legend Hurley Haywood was the Grand Marshal and spent the weekend signing autographs and posing for photos for eager fans. There were dozens of previous and current sports car drivers all approachable for fans to interact with. The Reunion wasn’t just about cars, it was a Reunion of the best racing talent that has even been a track. Happy 50th Birthday IMSA!!!
We had big expectations for the Reunion and we can happily report that it met our expectations and more. Its an event of pure joy, and one of the last events outside of Europe that is a living homage to racing history. As always, we think our pictures tell a better story than our words ever could. That said, please check out the galleries below featuring the people and cars of the 2019 Reunion.

History 1938–1970 Lee Byung-chul, founder of Samsung In 1938, Lee Byung-chul (1910–1987) of a large landowning family in the Uiryeong county moved to nearby Daegu city and founded Samsung Sanghoe Samsung started out as a small trading company with forty employees located in Su-dong (now Ingyo-dong).[19] It dealt in dried-fish,[19] locally-grown groceries and noodles. The company prospered and Lee moved its head office to Seoul in 1947. When the Korean War broke out, he was forced to leave Seoul. He started a sugar refinery in Busan named Cheil Jedang. In 1954, Lee founded Cheil Mojik and built the plant in Chimsan-dong, Daegu. It was the largest woollen mill ever in the country.[citation needed] Samsung diversified into many different areas. Lee sought to establish Samsung as leader in a wide range of industries. Samsung moved into lines of business such as insurance, securities and retail. In 1947, Cho Hong-jai, the Hyosung group's founder, jointly invested in a new company called Samsung Mulsan Gongsa, or the Samsung Trading Corporation, with the Samsung's founder Lee Byung-chull. The trading firm grew to become the present-day Samsung C&T Corporation. After a few years, Cho and Lee separated due to differences in management style. Cho wanted a 30 equity share. Samsung Group was separated into Samsung Group and Hyosung Group, Hankook Tire and other businesses.[20][21] In the late 1960s, Samsung Group entered the electronics industry. It formed several electronics-related divisions, such as Samsung Electronics Devices, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Corning and Samsung Semiconductor & Telecommunications, and made the facility in Suwon. Its first product was a black-and-white television set.[citation needed] 1970–1990 The SPC-1000, introduced in 1982, was Samsung's first personal computer (Korean market only) and used an audio cassette tape to load and save data – the floppy drive was optional[22] In 1980, Samsung acquired the Gumi-based Hanguk Jeonja Tongsin and entered telecommunications hardware. Its early products were switchboards. The facility was developed into the telephone and fax manufacturing systems and became the center of Samsung's mobile phone manufacturing. They have produced over 800 million mobile phones to date.[23] The company grouped them together under Samsung Electronics in the 1980s. After Lee, the founder's death in 1987, Samsung Group was separated into four business groups—Samsung Group, Shinsegae Group, CJ Group and the Hansol Group.[24] Shinsegae (discount store, department store) was originally part of Samsung Group, separated in the 1990s from the Samsung Group along with CJ Group (Food/Chemicals/Entertainment/logistics), and the Hansol Group (Paper/Telecom). Today these separated groups are independent and they are not part of or connected to the Samsung Group.[25] One Hansol Group representative said, "Only people ignorant of the laws governing the business world could believe something so absurd", adding, "When Hansol separated from the Samsung Group in 1991, it severed all payment guarantees and share-holding ties with Samsung affiliates." One Hansol Group source asserted, "Hansol, Shinsegae, and CJ have been under independent management since their respective separations from the Samsung Group". One Shinsegae department store executive director said, "Shinsegae has no payment guarantees associated with the Samsung Group".[25] In 1980s, Samsung Electronics began to invest heavily in research and development, investments that were pivotal in pushing the company to the forefront of the global electronics industry. In 1982, it built a television assembly plant in Portugal; in 1984, a plant in New York; in 1985, a plant in Tokyo; in 1987, a facility in England; and another facility in Austin, Texas, in 1996. As of 2012, Samsung has invested more than US$13,000,000,000 in the Austin facility, which operates under the name Samsung Austin Semiconductor. This makes the Austin location the largest foreign investment in Texas and one of the largest single foreign investments in the United States.[26][27] 1990–2000 Samsung started to rise as an international corporation in the 1990s. Samsung's construction branch was awarded contracts to build one of the two Petronas Towers in Malaysia, Taipei 101 in Taiwan and the Burj Khalifa in United Arab Emirates.[28] In 1993, Lee Kun-hee sold off ten of Samsung Group's subsidiaries, downsized the company, and merged other operations to concentrate on three industries: electronics, engineering and chemicals. In 1996, the Samsung Group reacquired the Sungkyunkwan University foundation. Samsung became the world's largest producer of memory chips in 1992 and is the world's second-largest chipmaker after Intel (see Worldwide Top 20 Semiconductor Market Share Ranking Year by Year).[29] In 1995, it created its first liquid-crystal display screen. Ten years later, Samsung grew to be the world's largest manufacturer of liquid-crystal display panels. Sony, which had not invested in large-size TFT-LCDs, contacted Samsung to cooperate, and, in 2006, S-LCD was established as a joint venture between Samsung and Sony in order to provide a stable supply of LCD panels for both manufacturers. S-LCD was owned by Samsung (50% plus one share) and Sony (50% minus one share) and operates its factories and facilities in Tangjung, South Korea. As of 26 December 2011, it was announced that Samsung had acquired the stake of Sony in this joint venture.[30] Compared to other major Korean companies, Samsung survived the 1997 Asian financial crisis relatively unharmed. However, Samsung Motor was sold to Renault at a significant loss. As of 2010, Renault Samsung is 80.1 percent owned by Renault and 19.9 percent owned by Samsung. Additionally, Samsung manufactured a range of aircraft from the 1980s to 1990s. The company was founded in 1999 as Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), the result of a merger between then three domestic major aerospace divisions of Samsung Aerospace, Daewoo Heavy Industries and Hyundai Space and Aircraft Company. However, Samsung still manufactures aircraft engines and gas turbines.[31] 2000–present The prominent Samsung sign in Times Square, New York City In 2010, Samsung announced a ten-year growth strategy centered around five businesses.[32] One of these businesses was to be focused on biopharmaceuticals, to which has committed ₩2,100,000,000,000.[33] In first quarter of 2012, Samsung Electronics became the world's largest mobile phone maker by unit sales, overtaking Nokia, which had been the market leader since 1998.[34][35] On 24 August 2012, nine American jurors ruled that Samsung Electronics had to pay Apple $1.05 billion in damages for violating six of its patents on smartphone technology. The award was still less than the $2.5 billion requested by Apple. The decision also ruled that Apple did not violate five Samsung patents cited in the case.[36] Samsung decried the decision saying that the move could harm innovation in the sector.[37] It also followed a South Korean ruling stating that both companies were guilty of infringing on each other's intellectual property.[38] In first trading after the ruling, Samsung shares on the Kospi index fell 7.7%, the largest fall since 24 October 2008, to 1,177,000 Korean won.[39] Apple then sought to ban the sales of eight Samsung phones (Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S2 AT&T, Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, Galaxy S2 T-Mobile, Galaxy S2 Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail) in the United States[40] which has been denied by the court.[41] In 2015, Samsung has been granted more U.S. patents than any other company - including IBM, Google, Sony, Microsoft and Apple. The company received 7,679 utility patents through 11 December.[42] On 2 August 2016, Samsung Electronics unveiled the Galaxy Note7 smartphone,[43] which went on sale on 19 August 2016. However, in early September 2016, Samsung suspended sales of the phone and announced an informal recall. This occurred after some units of the phones had batteries with a defect that caused them to produce excessive heat, leading to fires and explosions. Samsung replaced the recalled units of the phones with a new version; however, it was later discovered that the new version of the Galaxy Note 7 also had the battery defect. Samsung recalled all Galaxy Note7 smartphones worldwide on 10 October 2016, and permanently ended production of the phone the following day.[44][45][46] Acquisitions and attempted acquisitions This section has multiple issues. The specific problem is: most of the section belongs to articles about specific companies (January 2017) Samsung has made the following acquisitions and attempted acquisitions:[47] Rollei – Swiss watch battle Samsung Techwin acquired German camera-maker Rollei in 1995. Samsung (Rollei) used its optic expertise on the crystals of a new line of 100% Swiss-made watches, designed by a team of watchmakers at Nouvelle Piquerez S.A. in Bassequort, Switzerland. Rolex's decision to fight Rollei on every front stemmed from the close resemblance between the two names and fears that its sales would suffer as a consequence. In the face of such a threat, the Geneva firm decided to confront. This was also a demonstration of the Swiss watch industry's determination to defend itself when an established brand is threatened. Rolex sees this front-line battle as vital for the entire Swiss watch industry. Rolex has succeeded in keeping Rollei out of the German market. On 11 March 1995, the Cologne District court prohibited the advertising and sale of Rollei watches on German territory.[48][49] In 1999, Rollei management bought out the company.[50] Fokker – Dutch aircraft maker
