Also some fun facts about Roland because I'm trying to develop his character a bit more while I work on Mori's lore ↓↓

• Roland is Swedish, he spent the first 5 years of his life in Sweden before moving to the states with his parents and brother to be closer to other relatives.

• He has one younger brother who is only 3 years younger than him.

• He was 31 yrs on the day of his death, 12/25/22.

• He and Mori have had an intense rivalry since Mori first joined the army.

• Roland transferred over to the Marines about 2 years before Mori did, their paths crossing again as Mori was put on the same team.

• They had some form of tension between them that almost went to the next level before they had a massive fight

• during the fight, Mori punched Roland in the face. It dislocated his nose and made him bite through his bottom lip, he now has a subtle scar on his bottom lip.

• he was born September 19th, 1991.

How did Mori act before all the trauma like at the time when Roland and him had some big rivalry and same goes for Roland

Was Mori smug, flirty, confident? was Roland jealous or insecure?

YES

YES IVE BEEN WANTING TO RAMBLE ABOUT THEM SO MUCH BEFORE EVERYTHING GGRGRG

So, before all the stuff happened to Mori, he was essentially at his worst.

He was manipulative, he was snarky, he was rude and catty. He took advantage of everyone and everything around him. A skill he learned from his mother, who taught him that all that mattered was what people believed.

He got away with a lot as a kid since his mother taught him how to manipulate early on, so he carried that into his adult life and it made him INSUFFERABLE

He made snarky and passive aggressive comments whenever he could, he strived to have ALL of the attention on him at all times. Had a bunch of narcissistic tendencies and strived to be better than everyone else, which is where his and Roland's rivalry began

Before Roland joined the army, Mori was one of the best in his unit. He was given praise for doing what he did and reveled in the attention. Until Roland joined and took some of that spotlight

Roland was viciously competitive and hardheaded. When he wanted something, he got it. He did have intense anger issues though which did NOT match up well with Mori's personality.

They were constantly clashing and butting heads over who was doing better and got more praise. Often times it ended up being Mori which fed into Roland's growing bitterness towards him

Mori picked on him whenever possible, made snide comments, judged the way he did things, sometimes starting physical fights for the hell of it. It was attention to Mori, even if it was bad attention.

They were polar opposites in several ways.

One main difference between them was how they expressed themselves. Like how Mori would only verbally cut people down, Roland took a more physical approach.

If Mori was pushing his luck with his words, Roland would sometimes start physical fights between them. Hence how Roland got his lip scar

Mori-“oh my lordy lord, The Shadow Demon brought me a gun and goodies”

-Mori picks up the note and reads it-

Note-“saw you were looking stressed so I made you some things, also you look good at training today

-The Shadow Demon”

-Mori slowly starts geeking out a bit-

Later-

KitKat-“the Shadow Demon brought me a BIG basket of candy and a rocket launcher!”

Switch-“I got pastries I totally don’t eat and I got a poster of my favorite band”

Mori-“I got a new gun and other goodies”

7-11-“I got a mask that lets me bite enemies and a custom gun”

Wraith-“Hydra got good stuff and bubble wrap and wrapped me in it.”

Roland-“I got more death threats in hell and Dr.Gui reminding me of my debt to him so I was forced to sell my soul, now he owns my soul..”

Mori-“HA! Bitch! Shouldn’t have used drugs on me”

Honestly, this was probably the experience that a lot of the new people on their team had

One of the two starts talking to someone then the other butts in and they have a shouting match

Bailey-“hey there short stuff, nice fluffy hair you have there”

-Bailey roughly ruffled Beny’s hair. Beny looked away being shy, a easy target, and a little guy at the time-

Bailey-“it’s a shame you’re so short, someone could easily hurt you”

-Bailey knelt down to Beny’s ear-

Bailey-“why don’t you stick with m-”

Roland-“BAILEY!”

Bailey-“stop ruining my fun Roland!”

-the two get into an argument with poor Beny to shy and scared to move-

As an extension of this, I updated the facts a bit because I decided that one of my class periods was the best time to entirely make up a timeline

No idea if there's any lapses in time there or if anything's fucked up, but it's something

Also some more art of them before everything went down

Roland was always a dick to people, Mori just made it a competition of who could be worse to each other
