Best Bike Phone Mounts Review by Ignitto
Tumblr media
Best Bike Phone Mounts  The Rokform Pro Series bicycle mount is the most long-lasting establishment in our setup. You should supplant the top cap of your bicycle's 1-1/8-inch threadless cow cylinder (and ensure your bicycle has one of these) with the smooth all-aluminum mount, and screw it in close with the included Allen wrench. However involved, this interaction requires a couple of moments, and the mount is all set in the blink of an eye. What we love most with regards to the Rokform Pro Series is its security on the changed territory. Assuming you are a mountain biker or an eager rock rider this mount could be the most ideal one for you. It is costly, yet spending the cash on this mount might be worth the effort to change your telephone taking off while on the uneven territory. Another element that our analyzers love is the straightforward entry to your telephone. The curve lock system makes it amazingly simple to take your telephone on and off the mount for photographs or calls. Likewise, the mount has an inherent magnet that gives extra security as well as assists with directing the telephone into the right mounting position. It takes some training to mount or eliminate your telephone one-gave, however, it is a snap once you become accustomed to it.
Best Bike Phone Mounts
Best Dirt Bike Phone Mount  You are needed to purchase a particular case or case connector for your telephone to turn the lock into the mount. The case is adequately thin to use as an ordinary case, yet to think about purchasing a case connector to put on your weatherproof case. Another potential restriction is that it can't be utilized on buggies or treadmills, not at all like other honor victors like the Nite Ize or the VUP. Assuming you might want to mount your telephone to your vehicle you should purchase a different vehicle mount that is viable with the Rokform case or case connector. This mounting framework is the most costly in the setup, however, its smoothed out, secure, aluminum fabricate is extraordinary for regular driving, quick street cycling, and no-nonsense off-road bicycle rides the same.
Tumblr media
Once introduced, you'll have the option to change the mount up or down and adjust your telephone evenly just as upward, in the event that you're utilizing your telephone as a camera or on the other hand assuming you're basically utilizing it like a cycling PC.
Case required Kind of, don't have any desire to stick the backplate straightforwardly to your telephone
Similarity: Universal
Weight: 91 grams
Cost: $50
Highlighted Specs
Weight: 1.8 oz
Instrument free establishment
360-degree turn
Sturdy silicone tackle
Benefits
This cell phone mount is sufficient so it won't move when you're cycling over rough territory, consequently keeping your telephone from moving around something over the top.
It offers 360 levels of turn so you can move it from picture to scene, similar to when you really want to actually look at a guide on your telephone.
It gives you screen-to-screen permeability, without deterring your view.
This telephone mount accompanies a tackle that can fit most telephones and their cases. It additionally fits any bicycle handlebars.
This is a flexible enough item that you can use on various surfaces, in addition to your handlebars. It can fit on your staple truck, for instance.
Additional Features
You needn't bother with any devices to mount the tie, and it's truly simple to take off when required, which makes utilizing it a breeze.
Try not to need to join it to your handlebar?
You can undoubtedly do as such on the stem all things considered, so an adaptable item will assist you with tracking down the most agreeable method for utilizing it.
Disadvantages
Certain individuals who have bought this item have griped that the ties are not so secure as they ought to be, but this could be because of attempting to utilize it on a telephone that is not viable with the mount. Likewise, to keep the telephone from moving around when it's lashed to your handlebar, you may need to put some grating tape on your bicycle to keep the telephone safer, which is somewhat of a disappointment however not no joking matter.
Solid BUILD
This slick and complex Universal Bike Mount will be an incredible present for any individual who appreciates cycling or motorcycling. The mount has high strength, non-abrasiveness and versatility, and doesn't incite scratches on the outer layer of your device, leaving your telephone similarly as protected on the mount as it would be elsewhere, and indeed certainly more secure than it would be in your pocket. The mount fixes to a smooth surface by utilizing the 3M VHB Adhesive, which leaves no buildup, and is unscented and simple to clean under running water. One thing to note, however, is that this cement truly just functions admirably on a smooth metal or plastic surface. Endeavoring to mount it on non-smooth surfaces or on elastic or silicon will probably bring about it tumbling off without any problem. Moreover, it is enthusiastically suggested that you utilize an outsider case for your telephone when mounting it.

Myrtle Beach Adventure: Sometimes, history repeats itself...
Tumblr media
I was invited by some friends to attend a conference in Myrtle Beach, SC a few months ago. Since I’ve already ridden my old Zero motorcycle down there, I thought nothing about taking the Energica. I’d already done a Wilmington run, and I knew I could easily get to Myrtle from there. In prep for the trip, I upgraded to a Motorola Z3 phone. I am a huge fan of this phone series, and only moved to the X4 after a rain storm shorted the screen on my original Z play. The Moto Z has a magnetic connector for the Moto Mods platform - a series of hardware attachments that add functionality to the phone. The one I needed was the car dock. I used my old Rokform motorcycle mount and 3D printed an adapter to mount the Moto Mod to the mount, so both trips were completed using a handlebar mounted Moto Z phone for navigation.
Tumblr media
This trip was the first one where I had to carrying all my stuff in my backpack. I carried a lot of stuff: clothing for three days, laptop, portable charging cable and extension cord, toiletries, charging cables for various electronics, and some other odds and ends. The backpack probably weighed 25 pounds, which isn’t the heaviest load I’ve carried (that would be a 47lb bag of sand). I was ready for Thursday’s travel! I went to bed with the intention of getting at least 6 hours of sleep.
Tumblr media
As always, I woke up hours before I intended and got a head start on my trip. I left around 5a and got to my first charging stop in Dunn around 6a. This is the slow stop on the trip at 2 hours. I was smart and went to Bojangles and got breakfast, then hung out on The Cellar’s patio until the charge was complete. I loaded up and set off around 8:50 for the next charging stop in Wallace.
Tumblr media
There was nothing special to report about this charging stop. I got there before The Mad Boar was open, so this was not my lunch stop. I actually planned to have lunch in Carolina Beach with a riding buddy who recently moved down there from Raleigh. I was debating the route to take, and decided going to Leland and charging before going to Carolina was the best route. So, after my charge got into 80% range, I unplugged and headed over to Leland.
The Leland stop was uneventful, other than I did have a hummus and pretzel snack at the Port City Java to keep the hangry away. When my charge finished, I headed back up towards Wilmington and over to Carolina Beach. Again, I had to cross a grated bridge...and once again I had death grip and wind to contend with. I thought I was going to wipe out on both crossings due to the wind. I met up with my buddy at the Food Lion and he drove us to the restaurant for lunch. We visited for at least two hours and got all caught up on life, and then he had to return to work and I had to get to my Airbnb. Back to Leland for another top up...
In theory, I could make it from Leland to Myrtle without another charge. However the Calabash Greenlots had been reported as inoperable. I figured I’d swing by and see if it was back in service, or if perhaps the McGuyver fix I did at VIRginia International Raceway might restore it to service. I had no idea that the Signet machines ran Windows CE until I saw this error on the screen:
Tumblr media
Fortunately, I was able to start my charging session from the mobile app without any issues. I also tapped the OK button to clear that networking error for others. I created a PlugShare check in, to let people know it was back in service. I charged to 80% and then headed to my Airbnb in Myrtle Beach.
I checked into my Airbnb around 5:30pm, and was feeling pretty worn out. I popped over to the hotel that the conference was being held in and registered, then met up with friends for drinks and socializing. I called it an early night by 10pm, and slept twice as many hours as I had the night before. The next morning I rode over to the Tanger Outlet to charge and to buy more North Face pants for my husband. Of course, I rode to the wrong Tanger (since Myrtle has two), but I finally did get his pants. I knew that the conference included a free breakfast, so I thought about leaving the bike at Tanger and taking a Lyft over to the restaurant. That was a nice idea, until I saw that it was $23 one-way to Lyft. I then remembered one of my friends mentioned that the Best Weastern had a level 2. The Best Western is next door to the Spring Garden Pancake House, where our breakfast was to be served. I rode over there and sure enough, the spaces were ICE’d...but being a motorcycle, I could squeeze past to charge.
Tumblr media
As I was plugging in, a maintenance guy comes down the stairs and immediately starts asking questions about the bike. I’ve become used to this, so I engage him. Turns out he owns the truck that’s blocking the station AND he also rides bikes. He told me I could stay as long as I wanted, so I let my bike get a full charge.
Tumblr media
As a welcomed surprise, the Spring Garden has two parrots - an Amazon and an African Grey named Zorba. Zorba let me scritch her head, and took a selfie with me. Being a bird guy, it was nice to visit with a Grey so far from home. I missed my birdies...
Tumblr media
The conference wrapped up on Saturday, and after it did we had a chance to make shenanigans with me, the bike, and a kilt. See the video below!

For the return trip, I decided to send as much of my cargo as possible with friends who traveled by car. I departed Myrtle Beach later than expected -- around 6:50a on Sunday morning. I arrived at the Calabash charger at 7:27a. I charged for 12 minutes, and then headed up to Leland. Before I left, I had this nagging feeling I should have checked into PlugShare and checked the status of the next station. I put this out of my mind and set off. I ate breakfast at a nearby restaurant (it was meh) in the Leland shopping center while the bike charge to 100% and balanced the battery. I also had to stop on my way to Wallace to capture this photo: my bike rolled 6,000 miles!

Here’s where the story gets interesting. My friend and fellow Energica owner, Paul, lives in Wilmington. We’ve never met, we only know each other from the Facebook group for our bikes. Paul was checking PlugShare to see if I was checking in. As he told me later on, he was thinking about meeting me in Leland and riding with me to Wallace. I would have truly enjoyed that, however, I didn’t check in until Leland. He didn’t have time to come meet me, and it’s probably a good thing he didn’t...

Let the adventure begin! Remember how I said this was similar to my last trip to Myrtle? I had a Tesla charger malfunction and nearly stranded me on my way down. Well, I pulled up to the Wallace station and see an Error 39. The station won’t activate, it doesn’t show up in the ChargePoint app, and had I bothered to check PlugShare... 7 hours before I got there someone reported it was not in operation. Lesson learned: always check PlugShare first. When I had this issue on the first trip, I was able to locate another nearby Level 2. There is no charging within 18 or so miles, and I only had about 15 miles of range left. Paul had been messaging me since I left Leland, and I sent him the above photo with the caption “I’m F’d.” I found a 110v outlet at a nearby Reality office (they was closed) and I plugged in to trickle charge while I ponderedmy next move. I was getting ready to call AAA when Paul surprised the hell out of me.

Paul tells he has a van and can haul my bike to the Clinton charger. He then tell me that his bike has 51% charge, it’s already in the van, and I can ride it to Clinton so I don’t lose any seat time on this trip. How cool is that? I asked him if he was sure, and he said it’s his day off and he has nothing better to do. So, I grabbed some water and waiting for him to arrive.

Paul and his super sweet and well behaved dog arrived about a half an hour later. We unloaded his Ego and loaded up my Eva. It was cool to see the other bike, and we had to do the obligatory photos... because how often do two Energicas cross paths like this in the wild?

I’ve been told that motorcycling is a brotherhood, like a fraternity, there are unwritten rules of conduct and behavior. Looking out for one another is the #1 rule, and I can say that Paul exemplified that moral code with his kindness. He could have just offered to move the bike, but he went above and beyond and let a total stranger ride his bike for 35 miles. I was honored and humbled to be trusted with his Ego, and I was extremely excited to ride the other Energica!

We loaded up and took off. I knew that Paul’s bike had just enough juice to get us to Clinton, but I’d need to go easy. I have gotta say, you can tell a difference in the operation of the two. I believe Energica uses two different motors - one for the Ego and one for the Eva - and you can feel the difference. The Ego felt like it was even more refined than the Eva, which is a high bar. The poower delivery felt smoother, and his bike was definitely quieter than mine. I set his regen to max - he kept it on low - and dropped into eco (he had it in sport), and off we went. Paul didn’t know that the Enegica will blink the brake light when you “coast to a stop,” so he learned something new about his bike that day. We rode 45 minutes through beautiful NC back roads till we got to the Nissan dealer in Clinton. On this trip, Paul’s bike rolled 2,000 miles! I literally got to see two different Energica bikes have mileage milestones in the same day. Like, how cool is that?!

We unloaded my bike and plugged it in. Estimated 2h44m to full, so we asked Google to find an open restaurant for some lunch. The problem with small towns in NC is that everything is closed on Sunday. I mean, everything, including gas stations. We found a Highway 55 burger joint that was open, so we drove over there in the van and had lunch. I insisted in buying Paul’s meal, and he begrudgingly accepted. “You don’t have to buy my food,” he said, but to me it was the least I could do for the trouble. Paul and I sat at the diner and talked for at least an hour and a half, then decided it was time to get back to the bikes. I was charged up enough to make it to Campbell University, about 30 miles from my house. We loaded up his bike and then parted our separate ways. Paul took this video of my leaving (sorry for the low quality, will update it if we get a higher resolution copy).

I arrived to find neither charger in use at Campbell University. I plugged up, and then laid out my backpack under a tree and laid down in the shade to check up on social media. While I was resting, a Tesla Model 3 pulls up. It startled me, actually, because I didn’t know it was there till I heard the parking brake engage...and it was 3 feet from me. I have a not so positive opinion of Tesla owners, and this guy merely reinforced it. He said not a word to me. He even stepped over me to get the cable. It’s like I didn’t exist. Rude! I departed shortly after he arrived, with just enough juice to make it back home.

The ride from Campbell to my house is scenic and slow. I had no worries about running out of power, though I did have two near-misses at two different 4 way stops where the other vehicle failed to yield to the vehicle already in the intersection. I sped past one, braked hard on the other. Middle fingers may have been deployed. Other than that, it was a blissful ride home. I rolled up with 6% power, 555.5 miles ridden, and a blessed feeling. Paul’s kindness made me feel like I was a part of something bigger than myself, a community. I still can’t believe he just tossed me the key to his bike without even thinking about it. I’m super thankful for the experience and the kindness. I would have made it home somehow -- I could have Level 1′d to get to the Level 2′s in Burgaw and then headed to Clinton, or called AAA for a tow -- but I’m really glad fate decided to end my adventure the way that it did. Till next time!
