How'd you score the Superlek vs. Rodtang fight? Feel a lot of people were clowning on Rodtang saying he didn't fight elite comp and Superlek would destroy him, so seeing such a close fight between them it's nice to see people giving Rodtang his flowers. If it went over 5 do you think it would turn out differently?

I have no idea how ONE’s scoring system for Muay Thai works. Cause I know MT traditionally has a system that values clean work in the clinch, dumps, and such more than clean punches from range but ONE has basically diluted extended clinch exchanges out of their version of the sport. Not to say that specific change effected this fight, but it did make me realize I don’t actually know what the highest value is placed on according to the criteria.

I think superlek won. He had the knockdown in the 2nd and i honestly think he did the cleaner work in the 3rd. Rodtang did good work too but Superlek was out there working. Rodtang is just a real life juggernaut and comes forward relentlessly. I also think a lot of people scored it for him cause a lot of us come from MMA where the guy who comes forward wins 9/10. Also, people are mad at superlek for missing weight and he looked dead tired at the end of it all. And like you said, Rodtang was the underdog and over-performed to a lot of people. It is nice to show, no he’s not just beating up on lower tier competition, he’s actually pretty damn good. His elbows were beautiful. And happy this fight apparently did good business for Lumpinee, Rodtang, and Superlek.

I think Rodtang could have pulled that out in a 5 round fight. Superlek won that last round but it was very much giving semi Gaethje-Khabib R1 vibes where ‘yeah you won that round but you don’t have the momentum’.

We are finally going to get Rodtang vs Superlek this week everybody! At least, that is the plan. The two Thai fighters are scheduled to fight this Friday (Sept 22) at ONE Friday Fights 34.

This sparring session is going to be a real fight come Friday (March 24)!

Sadly, both Superlek and Rodtang were forced out of the big ONE Championship Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix, due to a weight miss and sickness respectively. So we didn’t get to see these two under ONE’s Muay Thai rules. But we will get to see them in a kickboxing match!

Superlek is fresh off winning the ONE Flyweight kickboxing championship, taking a decision over Daniel Puertas. Rodtang is on a run of just beating the crap out of whoever has been put in front of him for the past 2-3 years.

The two will fight for the ONE Kickboxing flyweight title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 on Amazon Prime this Friday (March 24).

Sadly, I don't think we're ever getting that Superlek-Rodtang fight. That sucks.

Still, ONE has a pretty good main event set for ONE Fight Night 12 on Amazon Prime this Friday (July 14). We will get Superlek facing off against Tagir Khalilov in a Muay Thai bout.

Daniel Puertas vs Jiduo Yibu - ONE Championship: Full Circle 

Both Spanish kickboxer Daniel Puertas and Chinese kickboxer Jiduo Yibu are going to be in action this Friday (Jan. 13) as the two are set to fight different opponents at ONE on Prime Video 6

Puertas will be stepping in as a late replacement to challenge for the vacant ONE Bantamweight kickboxing title against Superlek Kiatmoo9. And Jiduo Yibu will be replacing Puertas, as he is now scheduled to fight Rodtang.
