It’s been a long while since my last post… Time to share my thoughts again. Today I was reflecting on what it is like to be a painter and how truly humbling it is as each day is a new learning experience. I will never be done learning how to paint no matter how old I get and/or how much technique I manage to muster! Today is all about studying rocks and water, letting go..and having FUN!!!!! One of the toughest lesson for me to learn is to be myself, let go of preconceived ideas, to NOT judge what comes out of the creative process and to NOT fear judgement from others. Wow, that is a lot! It is so easy to fall into a “rut” simply because you’re allowing yourself to be labeled. I feel that it is my duty as an artist to continuously seek growth and to embrace change.
