Over to Woods Hole to visit old and dear friends from Rockridge Clinic in Oakland. If you have ever watched the series New Amsterdam, that was us, an idealistic group of doctors, midwives, nurse practitioners. We cared for inner city poor folks and Berkeley folks. Don Quijote fighting the good fight. The best group I ever worked with.

Allen was the administrator. Sala one of the midwives who augmented the training I’d had with men teaching me about women’s bodies. Amenta was a teen back then and now is beautiful, a martial artist at 50. Tirian had become a lawyer, head of Berkeley law school? Then to Stanford where a problem arose about race I think. I am so proud of them all🌀🌀🌀

The composting toilet was just the best I have ever seen.

Casa Barotti, 3204 College Ave, Berkeley (Rockridge), CA 94705

Loving the concept of Casa Barotti, a casual but classy Italian spot, aka spizzicheria – where you can go to get a glass of wine with a slice of pizza, focaccia, or Italian street food. Prices are reasonable too and it’s in Rockridge.

They specialize in Northern style pizza cooked on steel pans (sold by the slice, $5 and up) and they also have focaccia, salads, paninos, lasagna, etc. I think the food is already cooked but they can heat up the slices or pasta for you in the oven. The pizza dough is vegan. They had lots of pizzas to choose from, some vegan options too.

Insalata verde ($11): mixed greens, cheese, tomatoes, red onion, parmesan, balsamic vinaigrette. Very good – definitely better than most salads: fresh veggies, nice large shavings of cheese, lots of tomatoes. Not too much dressing, not soggy. Good size for sharing.

Patate e mozzarella ($5): smashed potatoes, mozzarella, rosemary, lemon oil pizza slice. The crust had a focaccia like crust, not very thick but spongy/lighter with a bit of crunch on the bottom, covered in potato cubes and lots of cheese, very rich but so good – loved the hint of lemon and rosemary

Happy hour is from 4 PM – 6:30 PM. You can reheat the pizza at home too. Parking isn’t easy in the neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They probably serve really nice Italian wines.

Here's a wild idea. No really, I'm spitballing here. But WHAT IF...

RWBY Chibi is Ruby Rose's The Sexy Brutale?

What is RWBY Chibi? What is The Sexy Brutale?

Well, to start with, RWBY Chibi is an animated series produced by Rooster Teeth, as a parody of their show RWBY after the latter series' plot started to dip into darker, more serious territory. Both shows involve the lives of Team RWBY and their journey to become

The Sexy Brutale is a video game produced  Cavalier Game Studios and Tequila Works. In The Sexy Brutale, your character must navigate a mansion where the staff are killing off your friends one by one, and you must take advantage of a time-loop to counter the staff's murderous plans.

What I'm getting at involves spoiling the plot-twist of Sexy Brutale, so if you don't want that, please don't go any further. If you do, then press on.

Near the end of The Sexy Brutale, you learn that everything happening in the mansion is all a fantasy. The mansion's owner actually caused the deaths of all the guests in real life by accident. He has been reliving that terrible day ever since, killing his friends in more twisted and convoluted ways as a form of self-punishment.

Now, RWBY Chibi airs after Volume 3, when everything goes to Hell for Ruby Rose. Good friends die, her school is destroyed, and her Team is separated. Bad times to dwell on.

What if RWBY Chibi is some manifestation of Ruby's psyche, her way of trying to deal with her grief? In RWBY Chibi "Nothing bad ever happened. EVER." In RWBY Chibi, things are always silly and cheerfull. The villains are ridiculous and self-defeating. Isn't that how the battles of Good and Evil should be?

Now, in the secret ending of the Sexy Brutal, if you give the Demon of Bad Habits all of the hidden cards, you are transported to a lovely party where everyone is alive, dancing, and having a great time! But it symbolizes the Marquis sinking back into destructive hedonism to cope. It's fragile.

And in Justice League x RWBY part 2, Ruby has gone back to being very reckless and gung-ho with her Huntressing.
