Inspired by my own recent trip to Disney World…
The Ghouls’ Favourite Disney Rides!
This is Era IV/V Ghouls and based off the rides at Walt Disney World in Florida
Below the cut bc I may have rambled a tad
Aether - Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster
It’s fast, it’s fun, it’s got rock music, and Dew just about meets the height requirement which he find hilarious. Guaranteed that after he comes off it and gets back to his guitar, he’ll be practicing a bunch of Aerosmith songs.
Dewdrop - The Seas With Nemo & Friends.
He’ll say it’s Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster but it’s actually Nemo. He loves the peace and quiet and Finding Nemo is his favourite Disney film. He also loves the aquarium that comes after the ride because he feels like he can just about feel his connection to Water there. Disney magic ig.
Rain - Kali River Rapids
It was Splash Mountain and he is still bitter about that closing but of course the Water Ghoul will love the water rides. He likes the challenge of keeping his glamour up while having buckets of his element dumped on him. And he may secretly use his magic to dump more water on whoever comes on it with him.
Mountain - Soarin’
Fitting in with my other hc it’s his favourite simply for the fact that his feet don’t touch the ground. He also loves the smells in the Africa and India scenes. Living With The Land is close second and right next door so bonus.
Swiss - The Haunted Mansion
It might come as a shock that his favourite ride is a very slow dark ride but he loves it. It’s creepy and funny and he loves trying to find a harmony with the singing busts for “Grim Grinning Ghosts”. He also knows the entire Ghost Host narration and can say it in-time with the ride in a very good impression.
Cumulus - Kilimanjaro Safaris
She loves the animals, the whole thing is outdoors and she could take over the job of the driver because of the amount of times she’s been on it. She also watches the docu-series on Disney+ about the care that goes into the animals and can name a few of them while on the ride.
Phantom - Guardians Of The Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
In a similar vein to Aether, it’s fast, fun and has good music. They also are obsessed with films and love Guardians so it’s a fun little bonus. They know all the songs that could play and will belt them word-for-word while riding. Also Quints, stars, makes sense.
Cirrus - Tron Lightcycle Run
She loves the air that she gets on the outdoor section and thinks it’s really awesome ride. She’s never actually watched the film (much to Phantom’s horror) but she loves the ride and will be up very early to get a virtual queue for it.
Aurora - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
It’s not about her height. One of her first movie nights topside included Disney films and Snow White has always been a favourite since, including using some of the songs as warm-ups backstage. Her and Dew take pride in the comparisons to the dwarfs and she will wait any time necessary to get on the ride.
Sunshine - Astro Orbiter
She loves heights and it gives a great view of the parks. She’s also out in the sun the whole time which is a massive lure for her. As much as she craves adrenaline, she also loves how it’s a bit different to the other spinner rides and the space/future theming is cool.

Moon boys at Disney World 🌙🎠
✨ Headcanons because I want to meet Mr Knight in Disneyland all the time. Wanna make a part 2 to cover these 80s dudes’ response to Galaxies edge alone-
♘ Steven is in the hall of American Presidents.
♘ Marc is holding Jake back in the head space, probably because this is Steven’s third go around.
♘ Marc goes on Space mountain. Jake then also gets a turn on space mountain. Then Marc. Then Jake again.
♘ Marc is keen on a Mickey bar. Steven is not since they aren’t dairy free.
♘“Mate, Cmon, get a classic dole whip! It’s pineapple!”
♘ “Don’t worry buddy, It’s not a real mouse,” as he unwraps his ice cream.
♘ Jake refuged in the Haunted Mansion to get away from the colors.
♘ Steven dragged him out to meet Mary Poppins
♘ All three enjoy taking turns to eat a fancy grilled cheese in Epcot (The ones they serve with a literal can of tomato soup? They think it’s hilarious.)
♘ Steven gets brave enough for the TRON legacy ride. The guys are cheering him on. As soon as the operator gives a thumbs up- Marc has been elected to the front.
♘ Steven is inside the Epcot ball and anticipates the ancient history section.
♘ Marc likes the stars section.
♘ Jake likes the part where the shuttle goes backwards and feels like laying down.
♘ Jake finds Test Track. You already know.
♘ VRROOOOOOOMMMMMM
♘ The guys Hype up Steven to try Rock n’ Roller coaster. He’s in and just as he starts to push Marc to the front- the ride GOES.
♘ and he LOVED it.
♘ The moon boys are hyping Steven on as he buys a round (1) of lightsaber churros.
♘ Marc appreciated the Aerosmith.
… ♘ Jake is figuring out how to get a vehicle this fast

Lights, Camera, Action: Step into the Spotlight at Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a fantastic theme park that completely submerges guests in the glamour of Hollywood and the movie industry. For visitors of all ages, the park provides the ideal fusion of exhilarating thrills, live entertainment, and immersive experiences. There is something for everyone to enjoy, from iconic attractions with movie themes to breathtaking performances and character interactions.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Hollywood Studios' newest attraction, is one of its attractions. In Millennium Falcon: Smugglers, an immersive world that transports you to a galaxy far, far away, you can control the Millennium Falcon.
Toy Story Land is another must-see destination where you'll experience a sense of being reduced to the size of a toy. The wonderful rides that bring the iconic Toy Story characters to life is the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster.
For those seeking thrills, the Tower of Terror and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster were not to be missed. The Tower of Terror plunged me into the eerie and unpredictable Twilight Zone, with its spine-tingling drops and eerie atmosphere. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, on the other hand, had me racing through the streets of Hollywood in a high-speed limousine, accompanied by the electrifying music of Aerosmith. Both rides were adrenaline-pumping adventures that left me breathless and wanting more.
For those who enjoy live entertainment, the park presents Broadway-style productions including "Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage" and the exhilarating "Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!" These performances display the performers' astounding talent while also being entertaining.
A number of themed food options are available at Hollywood Studios, which improves the whole experience. For a special and unforgettable dinner think about making reservations at well-known eateries like Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant or the Hollywood Brown Derby.

we had a ridiculous day at walt disney world
this was seriously a charmed day. we went to all four disney parks and rode the most popular ride in three of the four. the number of things that had to go right for us to have that day were just ridiculous. the biggest thing that broke in our favor is that rise of the resistance had been closed all morning but they just happened to open it back up right when we were walking past it, making it very nearly a walk-on. after riding a ton of rides in hollywood studios we hopped over to epcot to score a virtual queue spot for cosmic rewind, hopped right over magic kingdom to ride haunted mansion, then over to animal kingdom at which point it started pouring rain and as a result flight of passage ended up being basically a walk-on??? then we rode na’vi river journey twice (the secret best ride, YES I KNOW IT’S POPULAR TO HATE ON IT BUT Y’ALL ARE WRONG SORRY), and finally hopped back over to epcot for cosmic rewind.
according to my partner’s fitness tracker we walked almost 30,000 steps, but when all was said and done, we had ridden 13 rides (one of which we rode twice). not bad for the day we were going to the park “just because” and weren’t really in a particular rush to do anything. i also conquered my fear of rollercoasters to ride both rock ‘n rollercoaster and the aforementioned cosmic rewind. turns out i really like launchcoasters?
seriously, though, you could go to disney a hundred times and never have as much luck as we did that day. it’s just wild. and as if to hammer home just how truly ridiculous the day had been, literally right as we were walking past spaceship earth they did the little ceremony they do every night when they turn on the exterior lights. at that point we just literally laughed and looked at each other and said, “this is ridiculous, right? it’s completely ridiculous.” and it was.
final ride tally
rock’n roller coaster starring aerosmith star tours: the adventures continue muppet*vision 3d star wars: rise of the resistance alien swirling saucers millennium falcon: smuggler's run mickey & minnie’s runaway railway tomorrowland transit authority peoplemover the haunted mansion avatar flight of passage na'vi river journey (twice!) guardians of the galaxy: cosmic rewind mission: space

so let me get this straight. ridley put loads of letter puzzles into his books, often saying that they were written in a way that only the keepers could figure out
and he had willa, a musician, who he implies has perfect pitch and a really good ear
and he never had the letters end up being the notes to an iconic theme for a ride???
like im serious think about it no matter how they move them around the letters are incomprehensible and willa maybe notices that they’re only a,b,c,d,e,f and g
and so she starts humming them in the order they found them and suddenly it’s the twilight zone theme or something and they have to go to tower of terror
idk letter games and music plus so many disney rides having iconic music just fits to me
#willa: wait let me try something#starts play aerosmith#i mean there’s so many rides#tower of terror. anything star wars. anything toy story. rock ‘n’ roller coaster. anything based on a movie that uses the songs#there’s so many more#i just think it’d be iconic#ridley if you need a ghost writer i am available#willa angelo#finn whitman#dell philby#terry maybeck#charlene turner#amanda lockhart#jessica lockhart#kingdom keepers#ridley pearson#disney headcanons
