PAUL, backstage after a Wings concert, 1976, ©️ Harry Benson
“My best work from this period is backstage where he’s bursting through the door after a show, lying down exhausted, sweating. Linda told me that he’d never let anyone photograph him like that. You only get that access if they like you and don’t mind you or your camera being there.” — Harry Benson

I love rock shows because everyone is so happy to see others happy. It’s a community.
Will forever be thinking about the guys who were next to me at QOTSA who were happy for me because I was thrilled to hear Lost Art live and then promptly lost their mind because Better Living started.

Fake concert posters I did for a class assignment. I chose my favorite band, the Pillows, along with their mascot Buster-Kun https://x.com/shalgrove/status/1794910155848687999

About last night: It was Hollywood, "Stop Making Sense," and Talking Heads.
By most accounts, Talking Heads’ 1984 concert film "Stop Making Sense" is considered by many "a cinematic and musical masterpiece." (On many critics' and musicians' lists, the film and recording are viewed as the best concert movie and record...ever.)
Ahead of a new version's release on Blu-ray, fans were treated to a screening of it last night at Hollywood’s Pantages Theatre—where it was originally shot over four nights. It included a Q&A led by Andy Richter with the members of Talking Heads: David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth and Jerry Harrison. The chat was filled with recollections of the original shoot(s), the band's influences, and their individual takes on the film's place in popular culture.
In addition to the chat with the band and the film's screening (which was more like a religious revival meeting with dancing in the aisles, screaming, sing-a-longs, hands-raised-to-Heaven, etc.). the band, Blondshell, played “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel,” from the "Everyone’s Getting Involved" tribute album.

On July 25th and 27th, 1976, Elvis played the Onondaga County War Memorial Arena, Syracuse, NY, with a date in Rochester squeezed in between.
The first show in Syracuse received a pasting from a young reporter named Dale Rice, in the Syracuse Post-Standard. The huge, sustained and angry response from fans, in the form of hundreds of letters and phone calls to the paper, 'went down in Syracuse history', and led to the reporter being sent off on vacation to a remote part of Wyoming, and an appeal for calm by the editor.
The story is told in this fascinating video from the paper's official Youtube channel.

Elvis was due to play the Onondaga Arena again, on August 20th, 1977.

Elvis Presley, "Let Me Be There" (LIVE, 1976)
Source (FULL ALBUM): Elvis Presley Concert CD (Youtube channel)
Audio from Bootleg album "A New Kind Of Rhythm!", released in 2007 by Madison label. This CD contains full soundboard recording from an Elvis concert recorded live at the Riverfront Coliseum on March 21, 1976 (evening concert at 8:30 pm), Cincinnati, Ohio.

PICTURES: Elvis concert Riverfront Coliseum on March 21, 1976 (evening concert, 8:30pm).
FUN FACT: Elvis performed twice that day at the Riverfront Coliseum. For the afternoon concert (2:30pm), EP was wearing the "Blue Egyptian Bird" suit, but at given moment the rear end of that suit teared up due to his movement onstage (no surprise it happened right after Elvis performed "Polk Salad Annie"). He briefly went offstage and changed into the "Rainfall" suit, in which the show moved along. There's another bootleg CD from this concert, with the title "Rippin' It In Cincinnati" (released in 2018 by Straight Arrow label), a clear reference to that one incident onstage. For the evening concert (8:30pm) Elvis wore the "Rainfall" suit again.

After changing his outfit (afternoon concert), picture above shows Elvis showing the rip to his audience. Riverfront Coliseum on March 21, 1976. There's footage of that moment too. You can watch it, here [Dailymotion]. In spite what happened, the Blue Egyptian Bird suit was fixed and Elvis wore it again in many occasions after that one incident.

FULL CONCERT [Riverfront Coliseum on March 21, 1976 — Evening concert at 8:30 pm]. If you'd like to know what EP said about the ripping suit incident (yes, he mentioned it on the evening concert), you can listen to it on this soundboard recording (begins at 29:06). EP mentioned it briefly. Take your time to appreciate the full concert, seriously. This concert is AMAZING! "Steamroller Blues" (at 15:53)? Uhh! ❤️‍🔥
