fuck. you had accidentally bought 50 dollars worth of robux and it was all on rafes card. when you were bored and rafe was busy with business, you would dedicate that time to yourself and more specifically with your prized possession. your ipad. every once in a while you would stack up on robux to be able to customise your little character, buy upgrades on your tycoons, and to be able to skip levels and buy helpers on the obbys. you would always use your own card, you know rafe would pay for whatever you wanted no matter how expensive it was, but you were too ashamed to ask him to pay for your little game made originally for kids. however, when your banking app didn’t give you notifications after your purchase, you became confused as to where this money has been taken from, so to solve your mystery you went onto the settings to see which card was set up to your ipad. and it was just your luck that it was rafes. he must’ve changed it to his not too long ago as it was only the other month you had given into your guilty pleasure once more. now you had to face the embarrassment of telling your boyfriend on what you have done.

20 USD for one full body character (with Shading, color, and props upon request). Adding a background (detailed or scene) is bout 5, with each character being 10 more

I usually don’t do just sketches— but if you want one that’s just a sketch, lineart, or incomplete in anyway— I’m willing to do about 5 usd! Non full bodies would be about 10 bucks.

I will draw gore (both minor and intense), animals, furries, men and ladies and whatever, design characters on request, and pretty much anything! Price may also fluxate based on complication of design and time.

Why I Dislike Sonic Speed Simulator

I sometimes see people in the notes of Speed Sim refs saying that maybe they should start playing it/get back into it. I want to ask, for your sakes, that you do not. The only reason I still play it is for this blog. I would love to stop. I keep going so that no one else will have to play to unlock characters for references. I will also be adding a disclaimer to future Speed Sim posts. Maybe this is a bit excessive, but this game is starting to break me.

I understand that some people like the game, and you all control what games you choose to play. In my opinion however, playing Speed Sim is really, really not worth it.

If you want a specific explanation of the problems, you can read it below the cut

Problem 1: Gameplay

The gameplay of SSS is simple, to put it kindly. There are a few different aspects of the game, each of which has only the bare minimum amount to do.

You can run around the world. This lets you collect rings and experience. You can also destroy badniks, which exclusively consists of doing repeated homing attacks until you destroy them. They can technically hit you, but all that does is knock you back.

You can do time trials. Actually somewhat fun. Not much more to say about them.

You can enter races. PvP races which are fine. Fun at first, get boring when you have to grind for race tickets.

You can fight bosses. By "bosses" I of course mean "Eggman" and "Eggman but with more health." It is almost exactly the same fight. You run around breaking shield generators, dodging the same two attacks, and then deal a set amount of damage to him before the shield returns. Repeat. Your prize is spins on (one of) the gacha wheels.

You can complete quests. Actually decent! At least until you run out of quests. Good thing there are daily quests to keep you "entertained" with their repetitive tasks. Also, ignore the fact that the tasks for quests are just engaging with the rest of the mediocre game.

All of the above mechanics grow dull and grind-y very quickly. Soon, every part of the game becomes a chore. The game itself even seems to have realized this, and thus includes an auto-run feature, so you can collect rings and xp without needing to do anything!

I am generally of the opinion that it's a bad sign if a game is un-fun enough it needs to add in the ability to skip the gameplay, but that's just me (that's part of why I stopped playing Star Rail).

Problem 2: Skins

We all know the real reason people play SSS isn't the game itself: it's the cool outfits! 95% of which are only available during limited events and/or by spending actual money. You can also expect to do a lot of boring grinding if you don't spend money. Speaking of spending money...

Problem 3: Microtransactions

Time to talk about the true "heart" of the game: Robux. Now, I will give Speed Sim itself half a pass on this one, as from what I've seen, Roblox as a whole has what I would consider an unsavory emphasis on microtransactions, especially for a game with a playerbase of 50% children aged 12 or under, and another 15% between 13 and 16 (Statista: Roblox user distribution worldwide 2022, by age group). With that being said though, Sonic Speed Simulator doesn't seem to have any qualms about asking for money wherever they can.

I could make a whole other post about all the ways this game offers for you to spend money. You want more spins on the gacha wheels? Spend money! You want to get three gacha eggs for the price of one (certain vending machines only)? Spend money! You want to skip the animation you have to watch every time you buy an egg from said gacha machines? Spend money! You want to do less grinding for xp/race tickets/event objectives/candy/whatever? Money, money, money!!!

The game has a lot of the trademark warning signs for a cash grab gacha game:

Several different kinds of currency, most or all of which can be purchased with premium currency

Many different skins to unlock, using the assorted currencies mentioned above (including ones that are specifically only purchasable with premium currency)

Gacha wheels. Many, many gacha wheels. (Not counting the dozens of vending machines, I can think of at least four)

Grindy gameplay that can largely be skipped by spending money

Again, if a game is un-fun enough to have an option for players to spend real money to skip the gameplay, that's a bad sign.

Problem 4: Crunch

I haven't done much looking into it myself, but I've seen many people say that GameFam (the company that creates Speed Sim) treats its employees very poorly. The game advertises its weekly updates, which requires a lot of crunch in order to get content out quickly. This is obviously bad for the people involved, and also has negative effects on the game.

Many features are clearly rushed, and there's a general lack of polish. From glitching through the map, to races starting several seconds before or after the countdown ends, to untextured models, to many small bugs, it's clear that the developers are not given enough time to clean things up before they have to move on to the next week's content.

“Baeeee get your iPad and come lay next to me.” You called from your room. Today miguel allowed you and hobie a day off from task and you were so happy. It has been a while since you and hobie had time to spend with eachother. “ ‘m coming luv g’me a sec.” He said walking to your shared bedroom with two big bowls of fruit.

“Sit here baby.” You said patting the spot right next to you. “ ‘on it,darlin’ .” he popped a grape into his mouth as he grabbed his big pink iPad. Yes,he brought a pink one just to match yours. He huffed as he laid on his belly next to you. “What are we doing n/n?” He asked as his accent grew stronger. “Playing roblox.” You said smiling widely. “Darlin’ what is a roblox?” Hobie asked jerking his head back a little.

You just chuckled before rubbing his back. “I’m going to show you now.” You said with a giddy smile. “Here, open this app.” You said pointing to the roblox app. Your acrylic nails clicked and clacked with every two you took of your iPad. “ ‘k what do I do now?” He asked with a confused tone.

“Click sign in and just fill out the information.” You said dressing your character up. “ ‘m done luv,what do I do now? Wait why is my character that hideous grey?” He asked feeling offended. He just laughed and ate a piece of mango that sat in the giant wooden bowl. “Okay so friend me, then we can play.” You said placing your iPad down and clasping your hands together as you looked at him. He had a puzzled look on his face, “luv, ‘m sorry. But I don’y know how to do that.” He said looking at you. “Ohh I forgot sorry pookie.” You said pecking his lips and grabbing his iPad. When you pecked his lips you felt the cold metal from his piercing touch your warm plumped lips. “There you go.” You said with a warm smile. “Your my friend now.” Hobie just smiled at your kid like attitude. “Wanna play a scary game?” Hobie shook his head yes,and smirked. “Wait Nevermind. His guitar pick that hung around his neck dangled in your face as he grabbed a pillow and began to attack you with it. “Got ya’ love.” He said play fighting with you. You tugged on his hair which made him come down as you began to fake fight him. “Mmhm I’m beating yo ass.” You said kicking him off you and keeping a hold on his hair as you continued to play with him. He grabbed your waist and picked you up and slamming you on the bed. “HAHAHAHA.” You kicked your feet because hobie started to tickle your neck. “OKAY WAIT PAUSE.” You said trying to get a breath. “Na’ pause for wha’?” Hobie grabbed your foot and dragged you to the end of the bed.

He began to tickle your feet as you were dying of laughter. You were laughing so hard to the point where tears were coming outta your eyes. “Bae pleaseeuhhhhh.” You begged as you kicked. “Mm.” He said letting you go. You took a breath before jumping back on him. He caught you, having his hands hold the back of your thighs for support. “Bro you’re so fine.” You said wrapping your arms around his neck as he held you and just looked at you. “I could say the same thing to you babe” he smiled up at you as you leaned in to kiss him.

He dodged it and dropped you on your bed before running out of your room. Your jaw dropped as you ran behind him. He had on socks which made it harder for him to run on the dark wooden floor. You ran to the living room and looked around seeing no one there. The back of your hairs stood up and you caught chills on your arms,you turned around seeing hobie trying to jump scare you. “Caught yo ass.” You said dashing after him.

He ran ran to your shared bedroom and his under the covers. “Bae you not slick.” You said trying to pull the blanket off of him,but he kept a grip on it. You kept pulling and pullikg until he let the blanket go which made you fly backwards. You sniffed,and pouted rubbing your arm. “Ow..” you mumbled rubbing your elbow,and knee. You looked up to hobie with tears in your eyes and he immediately picked you up and held you. “ ‘m so sorry.” He frowned and wrapped you in an warm embrace. You smirked ti yourself seeing that your plan was working. “AHA GOTCHO ASSS.” You said turning around and leaning over him and hitting him with a pillow.

Eventually you found one making you place the remote in its place and turning your bedside light off.

Hobue made his way back to the room and immediately went in between your legs having him lay on your chest. You wrapped him in a protective hug and rocked him back and fourth. “My baby.” You mumbled pecking his forhead multiple times. He just wrapped his arms around your waist as he closed his eyes listening to your soft and gentle heartbeat. He loved the way you held him, he obviously would admit it but you knew,and you ain’t have a problem with holding your man.

Well, the update has gone live. This might be the beginning of the end for Sonic Speed Simulator, because this is genuinely fucking unacceptable

400 Robux costs 5 dollars to purchase by the way, so having the odds for getting Knuckles be so abysmally low when the eggs cost that much is absurd. Also the fact that there's only about 300 copies of him when you can only get two free eggs a day, and the chances of getting him by using those are seemingly even lower than 0.9%, means it'll be more or less impossible to get him without shelling out a huge amount of money. Putting this shit in a game that has an extremely young target audience is disgusting, and the fact that they supposedly plan on bringing these skins back with a "larger distribution" (implying that they will still be limited to a select amount of people) doesn't take away from how exploitative this is, especially because that information was only announced in the Discord server. A lot of great designs have come from Speed Sim over the years, but if this is what the actual game is going to be from now on, then I hope it shuts down. No amount of silly or cool outfits justify the existence of this bloodsucking child casino
