Tell me then, you beacon of wisdom, what OP was trying to achieve by calling trans people conspiracy theorists for having a spine?

thoughts on art,,,any thoughts, any art
installation art is incredibly underrated imo! especially ones made from found objects. people are so quick to dismiss found object installations as just "random objects put together" but found object installations are probably one of the best mediums to insert societal commentary in, especially in nonwestern countries. postmodernism has finally allowed poc a chance to comment on colonialism and i think the use of material goods in that really helps get across the repercussions of colonialism.
one of my favorite installation artists is rajyashri goody! she uses a lot of hindu imagery to specifically criticize the caste system and i think a lot of it would be lost or inaccessible if it weren't in a 3d object format. like for example she has a whole sculpture made of used shoes so it ends up commenting on both poverty of the dalit (lowest caste) and how theyre considered beneath the "body" of the caste system (different castes are associated with different body parts in hinduism based on hierarchy). i could talk way more about it but this is already long enough as is. i highly recommend checking the rest of her work out! :)
send me a topic and i’ll give you my thoughts on it!

robotquote replied to your post: the time management in young justice: outsiders is...
has kaldur still not shown up yet? ive yet to watch s3
no, he’s in it! we’ve seen him a handful of times and his role in the universe of the show is really important (and a spoiler). he’s just not a part of the main cast, which is really disappointing since his storyline in season two was super interesting.

what’s the preferred hair length for apollo? i love it super long
honestly same! i love it long, either shoulder length or longer--it just really suits him more than the short haircut hes got going on in main continuity. thats an atrocity of a haircut!!

@robotquote When I say "transmasculinity", I don't mean transgender masculinity, but the nature of being transmasculine. Feminine trans men people are included, as are nonbinary people who identify as transmasculine in some regard (whether they are partially men, sometimes men, have a gender related to manhood/masculinity, etc). So it's not about gender presentation but a specific way of being transgender.
So when we talk about transandrophobia targeting transmasculinity, we mean how cis society specifically targets trans men and people who are percieved to be trans men.
#this is a sideblog btw hence why im responding like this#also dw id rather have my notes be full of someone asking geniune questions#instead of terfs harassing me#m.#transandrophobia

@robotquote has a protected blog, so I can't actually see their reply on my post, respond to it, or tag them; this is a screenshot from my email.
Anyway, no, we can't just use transphobia.
Why?
Because we're seeking a way to describe an intersection of the oppressions and challenges transmasc people face that are unique to our experience.
Yes, "transphobia" is an umbrella term that encompasses transandrophobia, just like it encompasses transmisogyny. However, we all agree these days that trans women and transfemmes have a right to have a word to describe their unique experiences with transphobia and misogyny and everything else that comes with being a trans feminine person.
So why are we denying transmascs the same right?

robotquote said: i don’t think it takes a spine to post on tumblr. regardless, calling someone a conspiracy theorist which is at most what they did in that screenshot, that doesn’t mean they’re misgendering the people and calling them harpies. you can disagree with them but lying isn’t the way to answer why they’re wrong. if they have misgendered the people on that list, it isn’t in the screenshot.
I never accused OP of misgendering people, who's putting words in whose mouth now?
And you didn't answer the question of what OP was trying to achieve by calling people conspiracy theorists. And a common implication of calling somebody a conspiracy theorist is that they are delusional, irrational and making things up. These traits overlap with misogynistic stereotypes that are often weaponized against transmascs. Another common implication is that they, like many conspiracy theorists, are right-wing harbingers of dangerous misinformation. I think these are perfectly rational conclusions to make
