Howdy to all my queers and disabled folks!
As I’m writing this, it’s my birthday, and I just released a new album that I’m super excited about! It’s called “Ganymede Gives Up The Ghost” by Stuffy Doll, and it’s got 17 tracks spanning genres from hip hop to screamy metal to punk to soulful ballads. Songs about a trans superhero, growing up, being sick, friendship, predators, the queer community, and so much more!
It even features the incredible Riley Silverman as the voice of The Narrator! (Not to mention that amazing album art by @ghostcashew)
If you like Hozier, Florence+The Machine, Slipknot, clipping., Lorde, Against Me! or honestly just any good music, I think this album has something for you.
Since it’s my birthday, I’m asking that you consider buying it on my Bandcamp, but if you can’t afford it, just stream it wherever you listen to music and please share it around. I’m putting all the money I’ve made so far into advertising this album because I really believe in it.
Thank you, love you, and stay safe, Dolls.

Dealing with Demons Chapter 8: Operation Friendship Part 1: Riley
Masterlist with CW
Taglist: @demyxdancer @softvampirewhump @d-cs
"Stay in the car." Sil closed the door Avi had just opened. Riley heard the demon make a muffled noise of offended protest.
"Sil, what's the point in bringing them here if we don't let them help." Riley walked around to the other side of the car and opened Avi's door. Sil closed it again.
"They have a point, Sil."
"Shut up, Mike. Look," She turned back to Riley. "I don't know about you, but I'm not happy that we have to babysit an incredibly dangerous and unpredictable creature during our investigation. The less involved they are the better."
"You think I want them here? Of course not! But Coleman thinks they can help, and if this is as serious as Avi and Coleman think it is then we need all the help we can get."
Sil sighed. "Alright." She opened Avi's door.
"Thank you, Agent Silverman. And thank you, Riley, for your kind words and vote of confidence."
"Jokes are my thing!" Mike called out as he walked towards the prison doors. Sil rolled her eyes and followed him. The others followed her.
The prison was basically a normal prison, but with a staff that was in the know about magic. Not all of the prisoners were in there for magic-related crimes, but you wouldn't find a mage in any other prison in the area. There had to at least be someone there to make sure no one was drawing runes on the walls with their food or something. There were separate facilities for sorcerers and other inherently magical beings, and those places were definitely not like normal prisons.
Avi shuddered as they walked through the doors.
"What's wrong?" Riley asked.
"I am a creature of avarice and this is a place where they take away everything you have. It's practically my antithesis."
"Huh."
Going through security took a while. Luckily, they let Riley keep their amulet, but Mike was carrying a lot of magical devices that had to be examined and cleared for use within the prison. Riley was worried that Avi would somehow have even more stuff, and be much less willing to part with it, but the demon dutifully emptied their pockets when they had to. All they were carrying was a wallet, a set of keys, and two cell phones.
"Why two phones?" Riley asked.
"Only one of them is mine. I'm holding on to the other one for a while for a friend." Avi offered no further explanation and Riley didn't press the issue. There were more important things to worry about.
The cell they arrived at looked like any other prison cell, except for the lack of prisoners. The bunks pressed up against the bare walls were empty.
"The others were moved for the duration of the investigation," the guard who led them there said.
"We'll want to interview them later," Sil said. "Can you tell us what exactly happened?"
"I can do you one better, we have it on tape." The guard pulled out a tablet and the group gathered around to watch.
The footage showed four prisoners sleeping in the cell. Then one on a bottom bunk just vanished. No flash of light, no noise, nothing. There one second and gone the next.
"Freaky, right?" said the guard.
Avi made a noise of assent.
"Thank you for showing us this. Now, could you give us some space to investigate for a moment?" Sil asked.
"Sure." The guard walked a little ways away.
Sil got out a blue washable marker from her pocket and drew a rune on her hand. Then she shoved her palm out towards the cell. Nothing happened.
"Never seen that happen with a detector spell before. What does it mean?" Mike asked.
Sil opened her mouth to answer when Avi cut her off.
"That the magic that took him originated somewhere other than here, and that it called him to somewhere specific without needing to know where he was before. A demon didn't do this, couldn't have, at least not without a human mage's help."
"I guess that narrows our suspect pool. Slightly," Mike snarked.
Sil got out some hand sanitizer and a tissue and cleaned her palm. "Riley, write that down."
"On it." Riley retrieved a pen and notepad from their pocket and summarized what Avi said. They could have typed it on their phone, but it always felt safer to Riley to have a physical copy of important information.
"Hey, I thought demons were more powerful than humans," Mike commented.
"We are, but we're also limited by more than just the four impossibilities that other mages are. Imagine a sorcerer who can't learn runes to augment their natural talent. We can put a lot more energy into what we do than a human, but humans have more options."
"Huh," Mike said as he got out a magnifying glass with runes etched into the handle and moved to search the cell. The others watched and waited for a few minutes as he inspected every inch of the small space.
"It's clean. No artifacts. It looks like everything about this originated on the other end of things."
"That means Bell probably wasn't involved, he's just a victim in this one. Or maybe he was recruited as an accomplice, I don't know." Sil sounded frustrated. "Okay, I think we're done here. Time to go interview the cellmates." She didn't wait for a response before walking back towards the guard acting as the group's escort.
The interviews yielded little pertinent information. None of the prisoners had woken up when Bell had disappeared, which suggested that there were no sudden changes in the environment. Not even a drop in temperature. All that did was confirm the spell used to take Bell used energy extremely efficiently, and hint at an extremely powerful caster.
Soon they were back in the car headed to Clara Bolton's house. The drive was silent and tense. Riley thought hard about what they had learned about the case.
"Does Bolton's fiancée know what you are? And about the deal?" Sil asked as they pulled into the driveway.
"Yes, Clara had to explain my presence to Jessica when I brought her back home after the kerfuffle at Bell's apartment."
"And she went with the truth?" Mike asked.
"It's best not to start an engagement with a lie."
"Then I think this time it might be for the best if you did wait in the car," Sil said. "We don't want her to panic."
"I don't believe she will panic at seeing me. In fact, since she knows me and not any of you, maybe I should take the lead here."
"Absolutely not. I order you to wait in the car."
Avi pouted and sighed. "Alright, I guess. I'll stay."
The rest of the team got out and walked up to the door. Sil rang the bell.
The woman who opened the door was in pajamas, her curly hair was a mess, her eyes were red and puffy. Not how you would normally expect to find someone on a Wednesday afternoon.
"Yes?" Her voice was rough.
"Hello, Ms. Williams," Sil said. "We're from the Bright Bureau. We handled the altercation between your fiancèe and Andrew Bell, and we sent someone earlier to check on you and Ms. Bolton. We're here to investigate her disappearance."
"Yes, of course. Come in."
Riley got out their pen and notebook.
"Do you mind telling me what happened this morning?" Sil asked.
"I woke up and she... she just wasn't there. I looked through the whole house but there was no sign of her." Williams started wringing her hands.
"And where is your bedroom?"
She pointed off to the left and Mike and Sil walked off in that direction, leaving Riley to continue the interview.
"Thank you. And then what happened?"
"I thought maybe she had just gone to work early but her phone was still on the nightstand and her car was still in the driveway. I was just about to call someone when your agents showed up and told me what had happened with Bell."
Riley finished writing and looked up. "I am so sorry Ms. Williams."
"Thank you."
Mike and Sil returned. Mike walked over to Riley and pulled them aside.
"It's the same as it was at the prison."
Riley wrote that down.
"Excuse me, agents." They turned to look at her. "I just—is there anything to suggest—do you have any idea if Clara is still alive?" There were tears rolling down her cheeks.
Riley looked at Sil, who nodded. Then they turned back to Williams.
"We know for a fact that Ms. Bolton is still alive."
Williams looked up at Riley, cautiously hopeful. "How?"
"We, um, we have been in contact with the demon Avi. They were able to confirm Ms. Bolton's status for us because of her... deal."
"Could you bring Avi here? I want to hear it from them."
Riley looked at Sil who was visibly clenching her jaw, but she still nodded.
"Okay, I'll go get them." When Riley opened the front door it revealed Avi already standing in the doorway.
"No need, I heard everything." They walked into the house. "Hello, Jessica."
"Is it true? Is Clara—"
"She's alive."
Williams rushed forward and grabbed Avi by the shirt. "Please! Please find her and bring her back to me! Save her again, I'm begging you! I'll do anything, I'll sell you my soul!"
Riley panicked, but knew they could do nothing to interfere if they wanted Avi's continued help with this case.
"Jessica, there's no need." Avi put their hands on her shoulders. "I'm already looking for Clara as part of a deal with the Bright Bureau, and I promise I'm doing everything I can to find her."
"Okay, okay. I... Thank you... I think I need to go lay down. Are," she turned to the rest of the team. "Are you done here? Is there anything else I need to do?"
"No," Sil said. "We have everything we need. Thank you for your time Ms. Williams, we'll keep you updated."
The team returned to the car.
"I'm surprised," Riley said to Avi. "That you didn't let her make a deal."
"Doubling up like that isn't technically against the rules, but it breaks the spirit of them."
"Wait." Mike turned around to look at Avi. "There are rules for being a demon?"
"Oh yes. Actually less like rules and more like... hmm... Laws isn't the right word, people break laws all the time... Instincts? Yes, instincts. The vast majority of creatures never act against their basic instincts, and if they do it means something is very, very wrong."
"So what are your instincts?"
"Don't break your word, is the big one. If a demon promises you something, they're not lying. Then there's doing everything in your power to fulfill your side of a deal. And there are some things that are just impossible, like making a deal without the client's knowledge and consent, and making a deal under false pretenses. The more one of us bends those rules the more wrong it feels but outright breaking them is just something no demon can do. And the same goes for angels. Generally, the rules keep deals fair for everyone involved."
"Huh, it's like a cosmically enforced code of ethics," Mike said.
"Exactly."
Riley scoffed. "I wouldn't call it ethics if there's nothing in it against eating human souls."
Mike's face paled and he turned back around. Avi turned to look out the window with a frustrated expression Riley could see in their reflection.
Then Riley's phone dinged, alerting them to a new email.
"Hey, Avi, Coleman sent a list of addresses from the missing persons cases."
"Excellent. Send it to me and I'll check them out."
Riley started to forward the email, then stopped. "No."
"No?"
"I'm going with you to investigate." If Avi was going to help with this case then they needed to be supervised at least.
"Okay."
"And we need to stop back at base first to tell Coleman what we found. Then maybe she can use that information to narrow down the list."
"Alright. I can be patient."

THE SILENA POST THE WORLD HAS BEEN WAITNG FOR !!
(VERYYY LONG LORE DUMP UNDER IMG CUT)
Silena is a semi main character and if she was in an official comic run, she would be the main character for a good stack of volumes.
At the start of her story, Silena is 14. A sophomore in Highschool and has a decent group of friends including Gwen, MJ, (Melis Jane) , Percy (Percy Parker), and Hazel Osborne .
She gets her mysterio powers while on a history class field trip where both her and Percy get their powers, Percy is blessed by a spider god while Silena basically has a whole magic necklace (later revealed to be a fragment of a reality stone) (this is also canon btw it’s canon every verse has its own set of stones)
Silena being the over imaginative , artsy,
fantasy and magical girl obsessed nerd she is , decides to use her powers for good and becomes “Mysteria”
It’s rather rocky at first , navigating how to use the stone, not getting flattened by villains, etc. her and Percy reveal their identities to another and grow closer as friends.
Percy has a few things happen to him as well such as MJ (his gf) being completely replaced by a chameleon from another universe .
While Percy is busy, he ignores a mugging (which happens to be Silenas dad , Quentin Beck) thinking the police can deal with it.
Silena finds her dad and thinks he’s dead. (dw he is not)
Silena , being immature and this being a “with great power comes great responsibility “ moment for Percy and Silena, Both see it in different ways .
Silena sees it as a way of revenge
Percy sees it as a way to do better.
A fight breaks out between the two (and by fight I mean fist fight.) and the two reconcile . Which is shortly interrupted by Swarm. (Also no. He is not a Nazi. I’m Jew/Romani. Why tf would I make that apart of his character) and Percy gets the “NO NOT THE BEES” treatment. (Sorry Perc, at least you and MJ can chill together in the after life)
Silena now alone , SMITES SWARM. Or tries to but it flees . Later he is defeated. This catches the eye of silvermane who “takes silena under her wing” aka. Straight up
manipulates her and makes her life straight up hell.
Brief interlude of Villains like Shocker, Rhino, Chamelon (the real one not the other universe one Dr strange killed that one) Black cat, and Wolfmann
Also a breif romance between Molten girl (liz Allen) but it ends up in a Peter and Gwen situation.
Also around this time there’s a romance between Silena and her Electra.
Between basically being under silvermanes thumb and getting magical help from Dr Stange , Silenas Life is very busy. Silena also gets other friends like Marcos (hydro man) , Lottie (White rabbit), and some minor villains like Lizard (Kris Connors ) , and Morbius (Dr.Maeve Morbius)
Silverman gets defeated via suit technicality . (Water + technology isn’t good.) also big reveal, Silenas dad is in one piece , Silvermane basically used him as a bargaining chip
Short clone saga arc + Jackal being the worst human being possible. (Dmitri, Both Scopions , and Willow the wisp respectfully experience the horrors )
2 clones introduced
Bianca Riley (Ben Riley with Kaines personality)
And Krystal Riley (Kaine with Ben Riley’s personality.)
Silena gets along great with the two at first but it is quickly shown that Bianca is the evil evil twin. Aka. No morals Spider-Man who is feral. She’s also just cruel to everyone .meanwhile Quentin tries to be a hero like Silena (and gets utterly embarrassed but it’s ok. Can you blame him?? He is just a normal guy?)
And Bianca is the first to get the venom symbiote and genuinely has to be put down after mutating into a spider creature . Honestly very cathartic for Silena and Krystal. (Bianca is a toxic friend.)
———
Personality wise ; Silenas personality is very fluctuating. In video game terms she would have a changling soul from fear and hunger. In normal terms she has a little bit of an identity crisis , and depending on the person her personality changes. She can either be very optimistic or very pessimistic. Very caring or very crude. Etc etc . But she is very imaginative and a problem solver. Starting out very anxious and having her small handful of friends she grows as a character and branches out more and is more confident. That’s not to say though what she’s experienced hasn’t had an affect on her. She is still a major people pleaser most of the time because of the constant beratment from Silvermane and Bianca . And even then , as a sort of defense mechanism , she’s used the stone to seal away memories she never wants to remember again. Ever. While also being a people pleaser she can be chaotic. Often poking fun (out of endearment) at her friends or others. Though that’s not to say she’s very receptive to sarcasm or cruel jokes.she’s a very fluctuating character personality wise like I said . There is no TRUE way to describe her. She bullies and is also the bullied if that makes sense.
Also another key part is she down plays her trauma. She will always believe that what happened or happens to her is no big deal. That it’s fine and that you shouldn’t worry and that no, the glove on her arm is just for decoration and style! And no you shouldn’t tell her dad because he has so much on his shoulder’s already! Why stress him out with something that he shouldn’t worry about!
Also my voice claim for her !
https://youtu.be/k8hRbh3-zAQ?si=T410KSlMk4vuS2zJ
(konata <the Blue haired one is my vc for her btw!!)

I'm already falling behind on these things, so I'm combining Thursday and Friday, even if Thursday is turning into a fading memory
Thursday was basically a very laid back day. We went to our go-to eatery for the duration of the convention, Panns Restaurant, which is an old-school diner located a few miles away. Since we drive down from San Francisco every year, we have a car and our eating options open up, but we always go back to this place. It's been consistently great, delicious, and the service is top-notch. Their chicken and waffles are my favorite breakfast on the planet and I always get that or some variation of it every time we go.
After enjoying our first of many breakfasts at Panns, we returned to the hotel, and again, met up with some friends who were already here. I think at its core, I only go to these things as a reunion. I mean, we all keep in touch on Facebook (which is bascially the only reason I still keep a FB account) but it's so great to meet up in person and hang out.
Ate dinner at the Social Eatery restaurant in the hotel, where they weirdly broke up our group of 13 (!!!) into tables of four. I wish they'd given us the conference room located in the back so we could all see each other, but alas. I had the ramen. It was...fine. Hotel restaurant food is hit or miss at the Marriott. I really wish there were more noodles. A good bowl of ramen has enough to do a great noodle pull before you shove the entire thing in your mouth, which is one of the great pleasures of ramen. Alas, not enough noodles existed in my bowl to have that experience. I'd not get it again. And I'd certainly not pay $20 for the privelege. I'm kind of tempted to go eat at a proper ramen place (we're in fucking L.A. after all, there's no shortage of great ramen shops) to quell my disappointment.
Friday kicked off with Panns again, but we took some of our friends and I treated them to breakfast because I love them a lot lol
Wandered through the convention areas, checked out the dealers' room and picked up my pre-ordered shirts and tote. The logo for the con is really cute this year, Beatles themed, Sgt. Pepper specific. And I'd noticed that it matched perfectly with my Loungefly Sgt. Pepper wallet. Nice.
More wandering, more hanging out. I realize now that I do Gally the same way I do Disneyland, have a rough plan of what one wants to do but don't be disappointed if those plans fall through.
The only must-see panel for me this year is the Doctor Who Deathmatch, where Paul Cornell and a bunch of panelists decide bracket style on that was the best Doctor Who thing. It just goes off the rails very very quickly each time and it's fun seeing Paul get so flustered. I know, i'm mean. This year was regenerations, and good lord Riley Silverman did wonderfully defending both the First to Second regenration and the Twelfth to Thirteenth. Capaldi to Whittaker won btw. Doctor Who Deathmatch said Trans Rights.
Dinner was at a small Greek restaurant called Aliki's which is around a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I love this little place. Really great food. I had the falafel plate and it was just as good as i remember.
Roll on for Saturday.

Because op didn't, here are some trans comedians who are really funny and would be a blast to have on Dropout. Riley Silverman also plays and makes DnD content which would be an excellent addition.
This was in the comments of a similar post but just wanted to remind people that Monét, Ify, Rehka, and Lily Du are all not white men that host hilarious shows. Dropout as well are having more standup specials added to their service so I can see some of the comics in the link to be added on to that.
The critique is 100% valid, as Dropout gets bigger they should do more of a push to bring in more representation. However, others on that platform have talked about before how improv and comedy is still a male dominated area. I think their numbers just represent the current climate. I think as a positive the streaming service is doing a good job bringing diversity to the forefront and showing off hilarious performers. They have made many good choices before and until otherwise shown I can trust they will see all of these critiques and find a plan forward. /Genuine
Speaking as a cis woman, if you identify as a progressive, cis woman Dropout fan and you are seeing the posts about Dropout’s persistent exclusion of trans women in their programming and your first response is to be defensive, or to get snippy and/or patronizing and/or downright hostile to the trans women bringing up these (extremely reasonable) critiques, then you are not nearly as progressive as you probably claim to be and I really encourage you to examine your beliefs and biases.
Ask yourself why you sincerely believe that a multimillionaire entertainment corporation that sold out Madison square garden is in any way an “underdog” or an “up and coming” media company while the trans women discussing their (valid, true, correct) concerns is not an underdog situation
Ask yourself why Sam Reich and Aabria Iyengar interact with the people that they do on Tumblr. Who do they respond to, and with what? What do they NOT respond to? How many followers do they have?? Like come ON guys use your BRAINS it’s MARKETINGGG they’re marketing themselves as a small close knit media company even when that’s not true anymore and they’re taking advantage of how insanely parasocial you all are lol.
Dropout is a COMPANY. Treat them and critique them as one. And, most importantly, protect and uplift the voices of our trans sisters, who matter more than any show or book or company.
#don't forget there is other media outside of dropout#it also could help if the fans of transfem comedians express interest in seeing them on a platform like dropout#always best to promote community by word of mouth#dropout#d20#game changer#make some noise#sam reich

I left a comment on one of plaidos' posts and they never mentioned how they counted the drag queens from Slumber Party. Also want to take this time again to promote a possible transfem D20 player/dm Riley Silverman. She is super funny.
afaik plaidos exclusively uses she/her pronouns and wasn't the same user who made that graph, but: it seems that no one involved considers the trans drag queens of dropout to be actually trans despite the fact that laganja estranja openly joked about the effects that hrt were having on her. 'actually being trans' will still not be enough for transmedicalists if you're not performing gender the way they want. at the end of the day i don't feel represented by drag queens either but i wouldn't discount them as transfem or trans rep just because i'd like to see more of it. that's the one consistent vector in this discourse.
i know of riley silverman from nerdist; i hope she's already known to brennan through that or her dnd podcast because that seems to be how he finds new guest players. honestly a lot of this discourse could be solved if the fans were more receptive to guest dms or longer sidequests

The Game of Rassilon! It's set in the Doctor Who universe and uses the Doctor Who: the Roleplaying Game system. A while ago, I listened to a bit over half the first season and it's quite good in my opinion. The trans woman in the cast - Riley Silverman - is the Doctor for seasons 1-3 and the GM for seasons 4-5.
getting into a tabletop rpg podcast sounds kinda fun. are there any that have transgender women in them
#I should get back into it - the only problem is I lack the patience or time for actual play podcasts#At least this one is much more doable for me than many since episodes average an hour to an hour and a half rather than 3+ hours.#I do NOT have that much attention span for audio
