London Diaries: Manish Malhotra shares glimpses of mom-to-be Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar

Jun 29, 2022 10:07 IST Mumbai (Maharashtra) , June 29 (Always First): Seems like fashion designer Manish Malhotra along with Bollywood celebs like Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar, Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Khan had a mini-renunion in London. On Tuesday, the 55-year-old designer took to his Instagram stories and shared glimpses of his London outings with Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor amongst others. From the series of glimpses, in one of the pictures Manish could be seen posing with mom-to-be Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar, he captioned the image, "Taking in the London sun."Alia and Ranbir tied their knot on April 14, 2022, after dating for many years, at Ranbir's Mumbai residence in an intimate ceremony. Just after two months of their marriage, the couple, on Monday, announced that they are all set to embrace parenthood. Meanwhile, Alia is busy shooting for her Hollywood debut 'Heart of Stone' in London, while her hubby is actively involved with Shamshera's promotional work.

Right after that, Manish posted a picture with Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor, the two posed for the camera, Manish captioned it, "With my favourite @kareenakapoorkhan." Our Bebo is currently enjoying her family vacation in London, and the 'Heroine' actor recently attended a rock concert by the British brand 'The Rolling Stone' with her son Taimur and husband Saif Ali Khan.

Moving further in Manish's string of glimpses, he also shared a picture with his friend Natasha Poonawalla and Kareena, he wrote "The best girls." in the caption.

Past these, Manish went on by sharing some more stunning glimpses, in which he was seen posing with the 'beauties' of Bollywood, including Twinkle Khanna and Gauri Khan among others. Manish captioned the picture, "With the beauties."

Manish was recently spotted giving a dynamic performance on 'Nach Punjaabban' along with Neetu Kapoor and with her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and designer Surily. William Shakespeare said, “It is a wise father that knows his own child.” Believe me, my father knew his children in and out.

Growing up in what they call the first family of Indian cinema, my father, despite being Rishi Kapoor the actor, was just the way any father would be to his kids. In the Kapoor household, I saw my father play myriad roles. He was a dutiful son, a caring brother, a doting husband and above all a selflessly loving and dedicated father.

The family man

When I was born, the family says he vowed that he would not only be the perfect father to me, but also be a friend to his kids. Owing to his extremely busy schedule and back-to-back shoots, my father was never the parent who escorted us from activity to activity, but his spirit, his influence, his character and the value system of our household that he and my mother nurtured in us, were invaluable to my brother Ranbir and me.

My father’s world revolved around his family. He shared a fabulous bond with his siblings and he averred that family ties are the most precious ones and should always be cherished.

Besides spending time with my mother, Ranbir and myself, it was sacrosanct for him to spend time with my grandparents, uncles and aunts. Whether it was the mandatory family lunches or dinners, the Sunday movie dates or watching the Indiana Jones film series, we would work our schedules around it and ensure all of us were together for each other.

Food for thought

People who knew him are well aware of how much he loved his food. My father, like me, was an ardent foodie. We loved Chinese cuisine. Whenever I visited Bombay, dad would ensure there was Chinese food from my favourite restaurant every day. And we would keep up the tradition of playing rapid-fire word games at the dinner table, the way we did when Ranbir and I were children. Dad would keep Ranbir and I on our toes right through the games and then announce the winner in his particular dramatic style.

Among the many things we learnt from our superhero, dad taught us to be fair, humble, kind and independent. My father professed that besides being a warm-hearted, caring, loving and nurturing human being, one must know how to express oneself and speak one’s mind fearlessly.

The show will go on

He isn’t around anymore, but his spirit and teachings will forever dwell in my heart. We were literally identical people and shared the same sun sign, so my connection with my father was undeniably a very special one for me. Besides being my dad and my superhero, he was my best friend, my greatest mentor, my motivation and my deepest roots. His unshaken and perpetual belief in me and my limitless potential always empowered me.

They say daughters soften their father’s heart. Dad, you had the gentlest heart ever. My love and gratitude for you is endless. The knowledge and the experiences you lived with are the irreplaceable life lessons I live by.

Chasing my wildest dreams and striving to always make you proud, I promise you, Papa, the show must and will go on.

#Famjam: Rishi Kapoor Enjoys Lunch With Son Ranbir Kapoor And Son-In-Law Bharat Sahni At A Restaurant In NYC

Right now, Ranbir Kapoor is in New York to spend some quality time with family. Both Ranbir’s parent Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor have been residing there for quite some time. Rishi Kapoor has been obtaining treatment for cancer there. Now, he has been announced completely free from cancer. Therefore, return of Mulk actor in India is expected soon. During this mini vacation, Ranbir’s girlfriend Alia Bhatt has gone there with him too. However, she cannot be found anywhere in the picture. In addition to Ranbir, his sister Riddhima and her husband Bharat Sahni along with the kids have joined them also. It looks like that entire family has gone to enjoy lunch together. By looking at the picture, we can say that everyone is pretty elated here.

Coming to Instagram, Neetu Kapoor has posted picture of these three happy men while enjoying a meal together. They have twinned here with their shades. Heartfelt caption has been added to the picture by Neetu Kapoor also. Ranbir Kapoor has chosen a casual look here for a lunch date with the family.

The picture has become viral almost immediately. We are especially happy to see a hearty Rishi Kapoor on the occasion.

Returning back, Ranbir may become busy once again with the shoots of Brahmastra by Ayan Mukherji. In this movie, Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time.  Release of the movie is slated in summer, 2020.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni has been by her mother Netu Kapoor’s side since the demise of her father Rishi Kapoor, who passed away on 30th April after a two-year-long battle with cancer. While Riddhima wasn’t able to attend her father’s funeral due to the lockdown which was imposed in the country back then, she has stood by her mother’s side like a pillar since the day she arrived in Mumbai.

The mother-daughter were snapped outside a clinic in Mumbai today. While the veteran actress can be seen donning a grey tee with black denim, Riddhima looked chic in a red t-shirt. Both of them were also donning a face mask to protect themselves from the ongoing pandemic. Check out their pictures here:

This is the first time that Neetu has stepped out of the house post her husband demise. Meanwhile, Riddhima had been taking to social media to share some happy moments with her mother as they try to overcover the tragic loss. From board games to giving her daughter a new haircut amid the lockdown, Neetu has been keeping herself busy while Riddhima has been by her side all the time.

Riddhima had also shared pictures of Alia and Shaheen Bhatt joining them at home as they enjoyed all enjoyed some time together with Ranbir also joining them.

Alia welcomes 2019 with Ranbir Kapoor's family

Business Standard: "Raazi" actress Alia Bhatt celebrated New Year's Eve with beau Ranbir Kapoor and his family here.

Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor on Tuesday took to social media and shared a perfect family dinner photograph which saw Alia having quality time with Ranbir and his father Rishi Kapoor, also an actor.

Alia, Ranbir, Rishi and Neetu were also joined by Riddhima Kapoor, her husband Bharat Sahni and daughter Samara for the celebration.

As Rishi is currently undergoing a medical treatment here, wife Neetu wished for "good health" and hopes "Cancer to be only zodiac sign".

"Happy 2019, no resolutions, only wishes this year! Less pollution traffic! Hope in future, cancer is only a zodiac sign. No hatred, less poverty, loads of love togetherness happiness and most important good health," Neetu captioned the photograph.

The "Chandni" actor also wished his fans a very "happy new year" on Twitter.

Riddhima, sister of Ranbir, also shared photographs and videos from the celebration on Instagram in which Ranbir and Alia can be seen having fun time with each other. BS
