The hand wrapped around his hood was threatening to cut off his air supply if he moved any further forward but that didn’t stop Louie Duck. He saw his family come around the corner and his hands reached out automatically. He just needed to reach and he would be safe. 

‘Your little adventure fantasy is coming to an end McDuck!’ He heard the shout from above him at the same time he was tugged further back into the helicopter. 

“NO!!! UNCLE DONALD! HELP!!!” 

It was the last thing that he managed to get out before the door was slammed shut on his face. The last thing he managed to see was twin looks on horror on his brother’s faces.

“Please....just let me out....I can’t..” His silver tongue is failing him because he’s so afraid. The boy couldn’t be any older than he was “Let me go!!”

“You too huh?” It’s quiet and resigned from the next cell over. Louie does a double take at how Boyd looks but that’s all the reaction. “My brothers here somewhere?”

"What are you-" Steelbeak didn't get to finish the sentence as he suddenly has a duckling hitting him. It catches him off guard and Steelbeak takes a step back in surprise before he suddenly goes to grip at Louie's arm to stop him, pulling painfully to get him to stop.

"I will snap your arm, if you don't cut it out."

Louie hadn’t completely conscious of his actions. His mind had been solely focused on escape as soon as they opened his cell for whatever reason. The grip on his arm makes him stop and whimper. “LET ME GO!!”

“Good morning Doctor Gearloose.” Louie can’t help but smile as he walks into the lab. It’s quickly turned into a frown as he sees the scattered papers. “Oh here, let me help.”

“So this isn’t a lecture on how I should give Scrooge the company back? You’re here to help?” No Huey run. Get out of here!

“Is this about Dewey again? You don’t think I miss him too every day? That I don’t want him back?” This is what a brother would say right? “But we can’t. He’s gone.”

“DAD!” Louie’s fists slam against the glass repeatedly when he saw Pepper forcing him past the cell. “Let him go!!”

He’s vibrating in place just a little bit as the elevator dings down to the underwater lab. It had been a really good few days. So Louie was excited to share his good mood with someone and his dad happened to be the closest and the one not ignoring him because he won the money. 

“Dad??? Are you in here? Guess who is the richest duck in the world?”

“Dewford.” Louie really had been hoping to avoid this meeting. But since he had business at Waddle, he should have known better. He hands his phone to Phoebe and gives his former brother a glance. “You look well.”

Louie lost 50 lbs/23 kgs during his imprisonment in the library.  His hoodie quite frequently slipped off when he was let out of his cell by his family.

From the moment that Louie went to Bradford for business advice, he has had no privacy. Two FOWL agents were assigned to act as bodyguards. To protect him if necessary yes but mostly to make sure nothing interferes with his grooming. 

His personal “assistant” is also a FOWL agent who reprogrammed his phone to monitor everything on it. Early days of his family calling to check on him before Bradford wanted contact were deleted. 

Both sides thought that the other was ignoring them. This was compounded by when Della tried to reach him in person for the video to Penumbra, she was blocked by the assistant who claimed he was too busy.

It was a trip to see Uncle Scrooge’s St. Canard research facility. Dewey hadn’t even been around with them for most of the tour really. He had been with Launchpad and that Darkwing guy somewhere. But then they had been locked up by this Bulba guy. Uncle Scrooge was missing and Louie was annoyed. So when Bradford had asked whether they considered not everything should be an adventure, Louie had answered honestly by saying the opposite of his brothers. Which is why Dewey had blew up at him as soon as they were away from that plant villain. 

“Maybe I will!” He shot back, even as his heart cracked. Truthfully even though he hated the adventures, he went because it was the only thing their family did and he just wanted to be included. He loved the trip aspect with his favorite people. “Maybe I’ll just take the adventures away! Since they’re funded by McDuck Enterprises and I own it. How about that!?” He wouldn’t, not forever anyway but he was pissed.
