A successful billionaire (Richard Gere) has it all: the looks, the money, the bachelor pad. But a partner? That's taken care of, when he proposes to a prostitute (Julia Roberts) to spend the week with him for business reasons. No strings attached.

The very first thought that entered my head when I saw Richard Gere on screen, was 'He's so stunning!'

Seriously. He's got that silver fox look going on, and he looks GREAT in a suit. And his confidence and sweet side towards Julia Roberts's Vivian, is so adorable. They have amazing chemistry!

The plot is simple to follow, just two people spending time together, a wealthy businessman and a prostitute, with no strings attached. You don't have to think too much while watching this movie.

Julia Roberts's personality is so contagious, you feel like smiling when she's on screen. She complements Richard Gere so well, with him being more calm and composed, and her being more outgoing and friendly.

That being said, the film dives into the darker aspects, like Vivian's job. Edward Lewis treats her so respectfully, he doesn't think any less of her for being a prostitute. He just seems to see it as a job, which it is. Unlike his attorney, Phillip Stuckey (Jason Alexander), who sees her as an opportunity- but for bad intentions.

All in all, I agree that this film is definitely one you should see before you die. It's funny, it's different from most romances, and the characters are complex.
