From July until late autumn Galatella sedifolia (Aster sedifolius, Rhone aster) produces masses of mauve-blue flowers, with five to ten petals and yellow centres. In winter the seed heads produce an impressive display. Here the plants are in nursery rows as part of the plant production at Waterperry, Oxfordshire, UK.
