hello again… curious on ur thoughts on caleo for the ship ask if ur still doing it!!!^_^
I hope you know that I said “OOOOOO” out loud like a 90s sitcom audience. I love mess!!!!
My opinion on them is so sick and twisted 🤭 I don’t actually hate caleo on account of me wanting them both to be happy, but I also don’t think they’d be together for long. And they’re a little toxic, maybe a lot toxic. They were hilariously dysfunctional to me in TOA. Long story short I think Calypso should slip away in the middle of the night on Festus and travel the world alone end post
#in every version of them i write calypso as his first love who ruined his life but he never gets over her#and she doesn’t dislike him but doesn’t love him the way he loves her and they’re forever unequally yolked#and they don’t cut contact and it pisses off every one of leo’s partners#she’s also probably a lesbian#it's that or she HATES him#it’s so intense i love it#lpost#rhamnous#ty my 🦌🫶🏾#anti caleo#<- but not really

yuri hellooo!! 🐚 🪷 🥥🌋 🗿 for the writing ask game ^_^!!
hi ken ken hi! :} 🫀
🐚 How do you come up with your story ideas?
i always end up with themes or characters first and then the story ends up being whatever events allow me to follow those through to a conclusion LKSKDJFS... half the time even the characters are just "oh x concept is interesting let's make a vessel for it and see how many directions it can go in" (this is how i end up with 17 characters that all share core similarities)
🪷 What’s the best writing tip you’ve ever received?
literally just that your reader probably didn't notice you using the same word 3 times in 4 paragraphs LMFAO and that you can't really overuse names in cases where just pronouns would be too confusing
🥥 Who is your favourite oc? What makes them so special?
god it really is eiza.... i just wanted to make a dnd character who was kind of a cunt but i gave them too many character traits and backstory beats that i find appealing and/or relatable so now we're bound by blood. every character i make i make for an audience of Me and this one succeeded too hard
🌋 What’s your favorite part of the writing process?
honestly research lmfao
🗿 What’s a piece of writing you’re particularly proud of?
my critical role fanfic lives mostly in my google docs at the moment but some of the things i haven't posted yet are, i think, my best characterization work ever in terms of mannerisms and speech styles

Marble relief fragment depicting athletic prizes 2nd century A.D. x
On this dedicatory relief are representations of the standard prizes awarded at four venues in Greece: an amphora of olive oil from the Panathenaic games at Athens, a shield from the games at Argos, and two wreaths (of pine and celery) from the prestigious Panhellenic games at Isthmia and Nemea respectively. Such games, which were very much part of the Greek tradition, flourished in Roman times. Many cities continued to host them, and individuals—the winner from Rhamnous who commissioned this relief, for example—gained much fame and fortune from their victories.

RHAMNOUS
Name: Lucille Maeson
Age: 35
Gender: cis female, she/her
Power: illusion
FC: Ana de Armas
You learned early that the world doesn’t play fair. Born to a single mother who treated life as one big gamble, you quickly adapted to the harsh realities of Las Vegas. Your childhood was a blur of neon lights and late nights, surrounded by people who were always looking for their next win—at any cost. It was your mother who taught you the most valuable lesson: if you can’t beat them, use them. Dancing in the clubs wasn’t about ambition; it was about control. You controlled who looked at you, who touched you, and who paid you. You controlled how much of yourself you gave away. The world may have seen you as an object, but you saw yourself as the one pulling the strings. Love was never on your agenda—until one brief moment, you let yourself believe in something more. But when he left, he took that belief with him. You rebuilt your walls, thicker than ever Winston was different. He didn’t demand your love, just your presence. In return, he gave you everything you’d ever wanted: security, luxury, a life that others could only dream of. You became the perfect trophy wife, always on display, always in control of how you were perceived. But the island doesn’t care about your carefully crafted image. Stripped of the comforts that defined you, how will you navigate a world where survival is no longer about appearances? And what will you do when the rules you’ve lived by no longer apply?

Ewige, Heilige, Deine Freude
Sind allein die Gerechten.
Aber Du hassest der Rede Glast,
Den bunt schillernden, immer wankenden,
Den die Menschen scheuen,
die dem drückenden Joch
Ihren Nacken gebeugt.
Aller Menschen Meinung kennst Du,
Und nimmer entzieht sich Dir die Seele
Hochmütig und stolz
Auf den verschwommenen Schwall der Worte.
In alles schaust Du hinein,
Allem lauschend, alles entscheidend.
Dein ist der Menschen Gericht.
[…]
Friedrich Schiller dichtet:

Temple of Nemesis
Rhamnous, Attica, Greek
5th century BCE
Peripteral Doric
The sanctuary of Nemesis lies on the road between Rhamnous and Marathon, around 630m south of the later city. Two temples to Nemesis and Themis can be seen at the site situated very close together.
Nemesis, also called Rhamnousia or Rhamnusia ("the goddess of Rhamnous”, her most important in ancient Greece), is the goddess who enacts retribution against those who succumb to hubris (arrogance before the gods)
Construction of the temple to Nemesis began around 460-450 BCE and continued until 430–420. It was built as a Doric peripteral temple during the reign of Pericles when the Parthenon was built in Athens, and on a platform with a massive polygonal terrace wall. It is believed that it was designed by the architect Callicrates who designed the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens, the Poseidon Temple at Cape Sounion and the Ares temple in Acharnes.
The euthynteria and lowest level of the crepidoma were made from local dark marble, while the rest was constructed of white marble.
The Peloponnesian War must have interrupted the completion from 431 BCE and carving of the column flutes was not done and the stylobate blocks were left unfinished, retaining the protective excess marble on their easily damaged corners and upper surfaces. There were no pedimental sculptures, nor were the metopes decorated with sculpture. The roof was decorated with sculptural acroteria, however.
Unfinished fluting and carving on the 5th century BCE temple.
At some point after the original construction, the Temple of Nemesis was severely damaged at its eastern end and the upper courses were subsequently repaired with new blocks. The damage to this and other temples in the region and the destruction of monuments in Athens is thought to be caused by the armies of Philip V of Macedon during his raids in 200 BCE. The blocks which were used to repair the Temple of Nemesis are distinct from the original blocks and the tooling is quite different which suggests that the repairs were made in the Roman period, when interest in the old Classical temples was renewed. The central block of the architrave on the east end of the temple bears an inscription of rededication to the goddess Livia by the Demos, which may be associated with the repairs. This reconstruction must have been costly since it involved replacing the east end, which required making duplicate blocks for the frieze, geison, perhaps the tympanon, the raking geison, the akroteria, and perhaps part of the sima, rooftiles, and ceiling coffers. Unlike other temples in Attica which had fallen into disrepair, the Temple of Nemesis was not stripped of useful parts or removed whole to Athens. Instead, it was restored with pride as an important local monument.
Statue of Nemesis
The cella of the large temple housed the cult figure of Nemesis, sculpted by Agorakritos, a pupil of Phidias, from the block of Parian marble alleged to have been brought by the overconfident Persians for their triumphal stele. This famous statue of the goddess stood within the cella of the temple and was around 4m high. The Roman historian and connoisseur Varro rated it the finest example of Greek sculpture.
The badly damaged remains of an over life-size marble head from a cult statue of Nemesis, with perforations for attaching a gold crown, was discovered by the British architect John Gandy in the early nineteenth century and is now part of the British Museum's collection. This has a stylistic similarity to the pediment sculptures of the Parthenon of 440-432 BCE.
Many parts of the original statue have been recovered and reconstructed from the hundreds of fragments found scattered about after the destruction of the cult image by early Christians, and this allowed the identification of a total of eleven Roman copies on a smaller scale. The base of the statue, approximately 90 cm high and 240 cm wide, has also been reconstructed; on three sides of the base, the nearly-in-the-round scene shows the presentation of Helen to her mother Nemesis by Leda.
