Katrina Kaif believes in prepping for her roles. Whether it is dancing or action, It is important for her to get the moves right.

Kat is no stranger to strenuous workout regimes and now she is gearing up to train in combat training for her role in Tiger Zinda Hai. Los Angeles-based action director Tom Struthers has been roped in to ensure that the action sequences are on par with international standards.

Though Kat has done a bit of action in Phantom and Ek Tha Tiger, this will be on a much tougher and intensive scale. For Dhoom 3, she did functional training under the guidance of Reza Katani and also trained in aerial workouts with professionals from London.

Says a source close to Katrina, “Basic Combat Training (BCT) is extremely tough and gruelling schedule and Katrina is training under Reza again for the same. It’s a course that transforms civilians into soldiers and requires physical and mental training where basic tactical and survival skills are taught, leading to extreme fitness. In Tiger Zinda Hai, Kat will perform her own stunts and will indulge in hand-to-hand combat and other fight forms. The actress is also planning to attend a boot camp for a few days. Currently, she is shooting for a song for Jagga Jasoos and will begin training for TZH by April 20 and then will shoot for some high-octane action along with Salman Khan at a constructed in Film City in Mumbai and foreign locales, after he returns from his Da Bangg tour.”

TZH director Ali Abbas Zafar confirms, “Katrina is going through a rigorous training program in hand-to-hand fighting along with Kali knife fighting with specialised trainers from the UK and LA.”

The cast and crew of Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ definitely know how to pique their fans’ interest. The entire crew has taken off to Austria to begin shooting for the first schedule of the film, but they’re making sure that the audience back home is abreast with what’s happening on the sets.

Just yesterday Katrina Kaif’s trainer Reza Katani had posted a selfie with the actress, and today her makeup artist, Daniel Bauer, posted another beautiful picture of the pretty lass. Daniel posted the picture on Instagram and wrote, “Creating some magic in Alps, on set with Katrina for Tiger Zinda Hai #tigerzindahai #innsbruck #danielbauermakeupandhair #katrinakaif”

Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar replaces Kabir Khan as the director. Tiger Zinda Hai promises double the action and double entertainment! This is the first schedule of the shoot and if reports are to be believed, Salman and Katrina have shot for a romantic song already. Scoop also has it that Salman requested the makers to shoot his action sequences first since the actress is recovering from a back injury that she suffered on the sets of Jagga Jasoos. Sweet, isn’t it?

With Ek Tha Tiger being a blockbuster, the stakes with Tiger Zinda Hai are way higher! No wonder producer Aditya Chopra wants the action sequences in this one to be at par with Hollywood. Action director Tom Struthers of The Dark Night fame will be choreographing the action sequences in this one.

One of the action sequences will apparently have Bhai wrestle with a pack of wolves on the ice-laden forests of Austria. Struthers and crew are ensuring all safety guidelines to train the wolves for the sequence.Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Tiger Zinda Hai is the most awaited venture of the year. The action thriller will be shot across a host of exotic countries and make its way to cinemas in December.
