Thank you for the request!! I got this one for Rexsoka twice, from you and @julijuli77. Hope you guys enjoy! This one is set in the same universe as my one story, To Light the Path Forward and features my OC Kara

It was one of the rare moments in Ahsoka’s life where the crack of blaster fire didn’t unsettle her. The sound carried through the open window as she rinsed her hands. She reached for the towel hanging by the sink.

Ahsoka gave a last glance around the kitchen, ensuring everything was tidy before she stepped out. The sun was warm today and she leaned against the doorframe.

Two figures stood near the makeshift target set up at the edge of the clearing.

Rex was mid-explanation, his hands gesturing as he pointed to the blaster Kara held. Her eyes were locked on him, listening, her expression full of absolute focus. Ahsoka’s breath caught for a moment, there it was, that little furrow between her daughter’s brow markings, so familiar it made her chest ache. It was a look she knew all too well, one she’d seen on Rex’s face countless times.

Ahsoka hadn’t been entirely on board with this lesson, not at first. Kara was only seven. The thought of putting a blaster in her child’s hands had sparked something protective and uneasy in her. But Rex had made a point. The galaxy they lived in wasn’t safe, and while things were quiet now, there was no guarantee they’d stay that way.

She crossed the yard quietly, careful not to disturb them. Rex was adjusting Kara’s stance, giving instructions about safety and recoil. His voice was calm and steady as ever.

“I’m ready,” Kara said, all determination.

Rex caught sight of Ahsoka over his shoulder.  He gave her a small, lopsided smile before turning back to Kara.

“Let her take a couple of shots,” Ahsoka said, folding her arms as she stopped a few steps away. “Then you two can clean up and come eat.”

Rex nodded, his attention on Kara as he guided her through the process. Ahsoka lingered, watching the way her daughter’s brow furrowed just slightly, her amber eyes narrowed as she steadied the blaster. Rex might always say Kara looked more like her, but in that moment, the resemblance to him was undeniable. The intensity, the way her small hands gripped the weapon, it was all Rex.

The first shot went wide, hitting the outer edge of the target. Kara’s lekku twitched lightly in frustration.  Rex leaned in to adjust her grip.

“Keep your wrist steady,” he said. “And breathe. Take your time.”

The next shot struck closer to the center, and then the one after that hit dead-on. Kara’s face lit up, her amber eyes bright as she beamed at him. Rex felt his chest tighten at the sight. That look, the joy, the spark of it. It was the same expression Ahsoka wore whenever she managed something difficult, that pure, radiant energy that always left him a little in awe.

Kara spun around, as she turned to call for her mother. Rex moved quickly, catching the blaster before it could swing wildly in her hands.

“Safety on, Kara,” he reminded sharply, lowering the weapon and setting it aside.  “Don’t ever point a blaster at something you don’t want to shoot!”

“Sorry, Dad,” she mumbled, her expression sheepish.

He softened at that. He couldn’t stay mad at her for long, even if she was intent on giving him a heart attack. “Just remember. Safety first.”

Her grin was catching, and she bolted toward Ahsoka, her excitement spilling out in a flurry of words. Rex exhaled, shaking his head with a smile as he began tidying up the area.

A few minutes later, Rex was toeing off his boots by the door when Ahsoka stepped up to him. “She’ll get the safety part eventually,” she said with amusement as she leaned against the doorway.

Rex nodded, his lips quirking. “Yeah. She’s a quick learner.”

They stood there for a moment, her hand reaching out to rest on his arm.

“Hopefully, she’ll never really need to use it,” Ahsoka said quietly.

He could see  the flicker of worry in her eyes. Without a word, he pulled her into his arms, his chin resting against the curve of her montrals.

“Yeah,” he agreed. “But if she does, she’ll be ready.”

Perception: My pride and joy - Commander Fox and Senator Riyo Chuchi overcome their own prejudices to bring about change in the galaxy. Got Your Back: A fic that is actually based off one of Caco's beautiful pieces! Bodyguard: My first ever Foxiyo fic! A story of Fox and Riyo falling in love softly while Fox serves as her bodyguard. One Day: My most recent long fic that is rexsoka. It's a modern au that is close to my heart, but I wish that I would have spaced the last two chapters apart more bc I think ppl thought the epilogue was the last chapter lol These Invisible Walls: I kind of forgot about this! When I wanted to write Perception, I demoed a few of the scenes that had been rolling around in my head here. Another awesome Foxiyo fic :)

6. What is a fic that you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I think it would have to be Consequence it takes place in my Belonging verse which is a long-form series where Thrawn and Eli raise their adopted daughter. The entire series is angsty with fluffy endings, but Consequence ends with walking on egg shells. Thunhe is captured and tortured to try and get to her dads. In that time Eli blames Thrawn for her capture and their relationship takes a terrible turn.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I think all my fics for the most part, but I think Perception probably has the happiest ending because EVERYONE is happy in the end.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, no. I have been super blessed to have an amazing community of friends. <3

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! Though I'm not sure how to describe it other than fluffy smut lol

10. Do you write crossovers?

Not really, no.

Not to my knowledge, no!

Omg that's such a hard question. Foxiyo will always have a special place in my heart, but I think Thranto currently has my whole heart. I love how much depth they both have and I think it gives the fandom a lot of material.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I'm not going to put this into the universe lol all wips will be finished!

16. What are you writing strengths?

I tend to be really hard on myself, but I think I'm halfway decent at writing dialogue.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Definitely syntax and grammar.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I'm not a fan. I think it's cool to use it if you intend for your reader to not know, or if there is enough context to figure it out, but otherwise nah.

Ooo I think it might still be Perception, but I really like the Belonging Universe.

You bring up a really interesting point that I haven't noticed people connecting the dots with. These are not true to reality flashbacks. They are obviously filtered through Ahsoka's perceptions. Maybe the choice to keep Arianna for the SoM scene was budgetary, maybe it was because they wanted to show that Ahsoka views herself as the same snot-nosed teen she was when we first met her. If it's the former, then it doesn't really matter. They kept her to save money and they weren't trying to make a point.

But if they *were* trying to show that Ahsoka sees herself as still being a kid at the end of The Clone Wars, what else in those scenes was being colored by her perspective? All the Rex simps (including myself) have noticed how absolutely confident and attractive he was portrayed for a man who was all in armor. The way his hip pops when he stands. The way he shifts his weight restlessly while he's beckoning her to follow him (which was completely opposite of how it actually happened because she was leading him and he was trying to catch up). Either the actor was naturally acting sexy and they didn't correct him, or he was directed to act that way. The only time I ever saw Rex act flamboyant or sexy was when he was showing off to Saw Guerrera's freedom fighters when he showed them how to take down a tank. That was intentional in that episode too. (Lux was flirting with Ahsoka, and suddenly Rex is a show-off? C'mon). Filoni pays attention to details. So if Rex is "looking like a slut" in those scenes as so many people have pointed out, it's because Ahsoka *sees* him as looking like a slut. I'm honestly shocked that no one has pointed out how sexy Rex suddenly is in what amounts to Ahsoka's dream sequence.

And, I'm sorry, it's not in the slightest bit weird for a 14-17 year old female to be extremely attracted to a Rex in her life. We all had one. Ahsoka and Rex risked everything for each other. They placed the love they had for each other over their own lives and the lives of everyone else they held dear. I'm with you, *animated* S7 and on, I ship them beyond platonic. And before that, a crush on her part is quite normal. That's why Karen Traviss wrote it. And yeah, he's a 10-13 year old trapped in a 20-26 year old body - so his feelings are undoubtedly more complicated than hers.

The antis just need something to hate, and Rexsoka is convenient because they can pretend like their hate is righteous instead of actually trying to understand the people who ship it. I have three daughters, one of whom is a preteen. I would never be attached to a relationship that was even remotely pedophilic or pederastic in nature. The thing is, Rexsoka isn't. It doesn't fit the criteria of that sort of toxic relationship. Shipping Ahsoka from S7 on doesn't change what came before. It doesn't make their deep and pure friendship somehow wrong by imagining it growing into something else as they mature.

Rexsoka. Yeah, it's my ship. Still.

I mainly just lurk here, reading fanfic and enjoying the memes. But the angst of the last few has given me the courage to dive in and say a few words.

First, let me clear the air: Rebels was when I started shipping Rexsoka. Prior to their reunion on that show, it had never ever occurred to me to ship them. Despite having read the novels.

So, yeah, look, I totally get the opposition to shipping early Clone Wars Rex and Ahsoka. She's a child. He's a child too, arguably, although his accelerated maturation makes everything super messy. The military structure and fact that Rex is basically a slave means its got power issues galore. Then for those in the US, there is the whole 18 year old age of consent thing (noting, for good or ill, it's 16 most other places). I get why this squicks people. It's the SanSan of Star Wars.

But people grow up. Even on TV.

Season 7 Ahsoka is 17 going on 18, and effectively an adult. She's commanded armies, and just spent a year living and working independently. She is also obviously mature and, frankly, animated that way. Rex is a long term friend, they love and care for each other, and by the end of the season, she basically risks everything for him, and he for her. The episodes are also written in a very obviously shippy way, with the gazing, the chats, the meaningful converstions, the hand holding and the tears. Not to mention that sad, moonlit reunion in Tales of the Jedi.

And although I dont think it matters much, by this time, even taking Rex at double chronological age, the gap is pretty mild by fantasy standards. 17-18 and about 26, roughly the same as Buffy and age-corrected Angel, and way less than Han and Leia.

Fast forward to Rebels, and we have two mature adults with a shared history and goals, who love, trust and admire each other, share common interests, and are amongst the most important people in each other's lives. It's a believable and natural thing for that to progress to something more. The challenges to their relationship are things like, for Ahsoka, the lingering memory of the Jedi code and Anakin and Padme's destructive passion, and Rex's rapid aging, status and limited life experiences. It is those kinds of emotional and external barriers and their shared trauma that make the romance so interesting.

Season 7 + and Rebels Rexsoka is classic friends to lovers, and one of the nicest, softest and most realistic relationships in Star Wars. The opposition to it, and moraliatic shaming of those who like is, is something I simply don't get. It's bizarre. There are heaps of ships that are far, far more problematic (including Anakin/Padme) that don't get this hate.

Like, anti dudes, what exactly *is* the problem here? I suspect the it's that some people just want to get their hate on.

The recent flashbacks? Yeah, that one on Mandalore complicates thing, but I doubt they had stomping on shippers in mind when they cast Ariana, as I have seen suggested elsewhere. The more likely scenario is that - at about 14 yo when this was filmed - Ariana was totally perfect for the first flashback, and is perfect for playing young Ahsoka going forward. Even setting aside that she is an amazing actress, she's insanely athletic and can duel weild light sabres while knee walking though a twist. She's also already tied to Disney. She wasn't quite right for the part, and, I agree, that does make watching it in light of the fanfic a bit uncomfortable. But, it's not just a shipper issue. Putting an Ahsoka that looks and sounds like that in the episodes with the Martez sisters and Bo Katan is weird af too, and doesn't work. I doubt it is meant to.

Story-wise, the best and only real take is that the flashbacks aren't live action replays. The Mandalore scene doesnt even chronologically match what happened (Ahsoka is so fighting Saxon in that scene, which never happened). They are visions about Ahsoka and Anakin and their relationship, not live action replays. Both remember her as a child caught up in a war. Smoke, the fog of war, flashing lights and dying, faceless clones.

And Anakin and Rex.

What I take from these is that in Ahsoka's mind, and Anakin's too for that matter, Rex is always there for her. Standing in the chaos, calm and confident in himself and in her, and looking badass as heck. With an older Ahsoka it would have absolutely been smoking scene from her pov, and no way was it written otherwise. As an older Ahsoka remembering, it's hot. As younger Ahsoka, he's there as her protector and friend.

Do I do ever think this ship will play out on screen? Not, no explicitly. And, yeah, it probably is harder now because of that vision (although if they ever do film a younger Ahsoka series, they will undoubtedly be casting a young actor for Rex, and Ariana will, by then, be 18). But I don't think that was intentional, and I don't think that much has changed. It was always intended to be an "open for interpretation" relationship, written with the possibility not excluded. And I am good with that. Perhaps I even prefer it. Star Wars has a truly dreadful record with romance and, besides, too often cementing subtle or ust-based ships kill them. I just hope this hasn't, because it's still my ship and I love it.

HEART OF VALOR

Lady Tano, daughter of the greatest of the lesser Kings of the Grand Republic, endowed with the power of the Divine Force, stood outside her tent. She watched as a soldier led her horse back to the paddocks, where a well-earned pail of grain was waiting. The scouting expedition she'd just returned from had been more arduous than expected. Ahsoka rolled her shoulders against the exhaustion that had settled itself on them over the last few days.  

She turned her eyes toward the plains of Mandalore, stretching out around her in an endless sea of dried grass and dust. The plains were occasionally broken up by low knolls such as the one on which she now stood. A thick layer of grey clouds loomed dark and ominous above her and obscured the white peaks of the distant mountains of Aladeran to the North.

Ahsoka peered out past the edge of her camp, eyes turned south to where the city Sundari lay. At such a distance, the city was barely a speck of silver on the horizon, but one short ride would have her brother's army at its walls, ready to reclaim it from the tyrant Lord Maul.

"My Lady," said a soldier behind her. "The king and the prince wish to speak with you."

Ahsoka turned her attention to the man.

"Thank you, Vaughn," she said, smiling, and nodded politely as she passed him to head toward the command tent.

Ducking under the flap that the soldiers held open for her, Ahsoka entered the tent and stood blinking for a moment, letting her eyes adjust to the dim, yellow light of the lanterns set on the central table. Around the table stood the King and the Crowned Prince--her brothers ObiWan and Anakin--along with two of their most trusted officers, Commander Cody and Captain Rex. The heir to the Mandalorian throne, Lady Bo-Katan, and her second in command, Ursa Wren, stood opposite the King, studying the maps on the table before them.

Prologue from my Rexsoka!AU Star Wars original trilogy (Rex POV)

Imagine Rex being Princess Leia's Captain and bodyguard.

Some informations between clone Captain Rex and Princess Leia Organa

Rex has been found carbon-frozen by a group from the Rebel Alliance and was brought back to life.

He learns that 15 years has been pasted and take in about the end of the Clone Wars and the rising of the Galatic Empire and at the same time the disappearance of his former commander and best friend Ahsoka Tano after battling Darth Vader on Malachor.

After thinking about the events of the Clone Wars notably its consequences and mourning Ahsoka's death (he don't know like the Rebellion that she survived), he decided to join the Rebel Alliance and fought besides the Ghost's Crew composed of former jedi Kanan Jarrus and apprentice Ezra Bridger, Captain Hera Syndulla, Zeb Orrelios and Mandalorian Sabine Wren; then with clones who joins the Rebellion composed of the Bad Batch and former Commander Wolffe and Gregor.

Rex eventually met the Organa's family on Alderaan and will have an important influence through Princess Leia's life. Rex then became captain and bodyguard for senator Bail Organa's only daughter.

Princess Leia - at first sceptical and thinking she can take of herself - learns many things of self defence and battle strategy from Rex until she comes to respect him and admire him.

Rex after getting to know the Princess will be her friend and only confident. He became overprotective of her as if she was her own sister.

Leia will also kinda reminds Rex of his jedi general Anakin Skywalker and Nabooian senator Padmé Amidala, he cannot explains why.

Leia will eventually learn about Rex's past and the condition of clones before and during the Clone wars that she decided to find a way to save Rex and the other surviving clones from accelerating aging and eventually found a way for giving them rights.

And she will somehow knows his particular friendship and secret crush about a Jedi who he has served in his past.

Rex keep dreaming about glimpse of his past he shared with Ahsoka Tano (and also visions of her and his future?)

At the beginning of a New Hope, Leia and Rex are made prisonners by the Empire.

The middle dragon was by far the biggest. His dull scales made it hard to make out if his scales were yellow or gold. Cautious golden eyes held more reluctance to engage with her if it came down to a fight. The other was similar to the first, brown and black scales. The difference in him was the mass of black scales on the side of his right temple creating a 5.

The first one steps forward again, shaking his wings and letting out a low roar. Not to be outdone she too stepped forward but let out a more aggressive high-pitched roar trailing off with a low hiss. Her spines flared and rippled in combativeness. He backed off and looked at the dull yellow dragon. He grunted and turned away, not seeming to want to fight her. They disappeared over the dune moments later.

Rexsoka, prompt #1 - watching a baby sleep while holding each other.

Features my OC Kara, but the timeline here is vague, so it could be in my post order 66 universe, or a much happier one? take your pick :)

The room was dark except for the faint glow of the single light they had on. Ahsoka lay on her side, her head propped up on one hand. Rex was stretched out beside her, Kara lying on his chest, tiny against his broad frame.

Kara was curled up on her belly, her little arms tucked close, her face so peaceful in a way that made Ahsoka’s heart ache. Neither of them spoke. They just watched her, their hands loosely linked between them.

“How long do you think she’ll sleep this time?” Ahsoka whispered.

Rex glanced down at the tiny figure on his chest, his free hand resting lightly on Kara’s back. “She’s got a full belly,” he said, sounding just as exhausted as her. “Maybe a couple of hours. If we’re lucky.”

Ahsoka sighed. “A couple of hours. Luxury.”

Rex chuckled. 

Her eyes drifting back to Kara. For all the chaos of the past weeks, this moment made everything worth it. Kara’s tiny fingers twitched in her sleep, her lips parting slightly as she let out a soft sigh.

“She smiled,” Ahsoka said, her voice hushed and full of wonder.

Rex craned his neck, looking down at Kara’s face. “Hmm,” he hummed, his brow furrowing slightly. “Probably gas.”

Ahsoka shot him a look. “Why do you always say that?”

“Because it’s true,” Rex replied. “Newborns don’t smile. It’s just their little bodies adjusting.  That’s what the book said.”

“I think she’s smiling at me,” Ahsoka huffed.

“She’s not even awake.”

They both stared at Kara in silence, as though waiting for her to weigh in on the debate.

And then it happened, a sound so loud and startling it broke the quiet of the room. Kara let out the most impressive burp either of them had ever heard from her, her tiny body wriggling slightly before settling back into stillness.

Rex froze, his eyes wide, his mouth twitching as he fought back laughter. Ahsoka clapped a hand over her mouth, her shoulders shaking as she glanced at Rex.

“She’s definitely your daughter,” Ahsoka managed, her voice muffled behind her hand.

“That was impressive,” Rex whispered, trying  to keep his composure.

They both dissolved into quiet exhausted giggles, shoulders shaking as they held onto each other.  It didn’t help the fact that when one looked at the other, the laughing started again.  Rex’s hand cradled Kara as though shielding her from the movement as much as possible.

“Don’t wake her,” Ahsoka pleaded through her giggles.

Rex nodded, still grinning as he looked back down at Kara, who seemed oblivious. “I think we’re safe,” he said.

The laughter faded, leaving a warm, comfortable silence. Ahsoka’s hand slipped back into his, their fingers intertwining as they both stared at their daughter.

“She’s perfect,” Ahsoka said.

“Yeah,” Rex agreed. “She really is.”

My best OC is Jaig tbh. She’s a child OC I made for a rexsoka fic where Jaig travels back in time to prevent order 66

Originally, the fic was gonna be a crossover(?) with another fandom: fire emblem. One of the games, Awakening, has a plot very similar to that fic. In the game, you play as a homeless person with amnesia (Robin) who accidentally becomes tactician to a himbo prince (Chrom) and then you come across a mysterious swordsman who knows what’s gonna happen. Turns out it’s Chrom’s (and possibly Robin, you can marry them) daughter (Lucina) who traveled back in time to prevent an evil dragon from destroying the world. (Also yeah... these characters are in smash. Even Chrom)

So yeah I was gonna write something similar but ultimately most of the FE plot lines/references became either generic or vague so I decided it would work better as just a Star Wars fic

In terms of design, Jaig is mostly Togruta but she has some human traits. She’s an omnivore and she’s not fully hairless like a full Togruta. She has eyebrows and can get goosebumps. Her montrals are also on the small side, something she appreciates because large montrals would prevent her from wearing a helmet

While she has a strong resemblance to Ahsoka, she also takes after Rex. She has the same skin colour as him, and she has dark eyebrows and blond “hair” (or in her case, lekku markings.) and her eyes are green because she inherited Ahsoka’s blue eyes with Rex’s yellow undertone. The Jaig eye shaped markings on her face are a combination of the markings around Ahsoka’s face (in Rebels mostly) and the force decoding to let her inherit some stuff unique or Rex. At least, that’s what they like to believe. It could be a coincidence too.

I drew her a couple of times but a few of my friends also drew her. Here’s some amazing art @loulines made a while back (uploaded with permission)
