GEAR REVIEW - SHOEI RF-1400
I am a huge fan of Shoei helmets. They just fit me better than any other helmet. I’ve owned the RF-1100, the RF-1200, and the X-12 race helmet. I loved the RF-1100, did not love the RF-1200, and hated the X12. Both the 1200 and X-12 (when they were new-ish) folded my left ear over when I first put it on. The X-12 was extremely difficult to just get it on and harder to get off. The RF-1400 still…

Couldn’t stop laughing reading this.  Did not realize unitl the end and the comments section it was written in 2019.
I do agree with Lemmy: “Because this. This is why.I could stop explaining things if I could just send this to people, then if they didn't understand I would just know to never talk to them again.”
When I still lived in Portland I went to The One Show and was looking at an old BMW engine on a display stand.  At some point I realized someone was standing next to me looking as well.  I glanced over and we made eye contact.  He said, “If I have to explain it to you, you wouldn’t understand.”  I nodded, because that summed up perfectly what I felt too.
With my ADHD what I’m interested in comes and goes.  But there are some constants, things that I either never stop doing, or that I always come back to.  Motorcycles and riding have proven to be one of the constants.
I love riding and I love bikes.  I wave to every other person on two wheels that passes going the other direction.  Someone waving back lets me know: there goes one of my people.  They get it.  They understand.  Its a powerful feeling.

HOW TO FIND A MOTORCYCLE THAT FITS YOU
HARLEY #MOTORCYCLE #MOTORCYCLES The Japanese have a term, “jinba ittai,” which translates to, “the rider and horse as one.” Some years ago, Mazda picked this up to describe how it wanted the MX-5 Miata driving experience to feel. But the concept really is more suited to motorcyclists, who should absolutely choose the correct “horse” for their type of riding. Imagine André the Giant flogging a…

Hello from Rugova Canyon in Kosovo! Riding this canyon was an absolute dream. It has huge jaggedy mountains on both sides and a super narrow sketchy road where sometimes only one car could fit. Kosovo is a hidden treasure with so much beautiful nature. Of course ya girl also hiked in her clunky moto boots down a rickety broken metal ladder to this waterfall. Worth falling and scraping my hands and knees? Absolutely. I love exploring cities, but nature always heals me. Do you prefer city riding or in nature? #chasingcrystal #motorcycledreams #ladybikers #ladyrider #instamotorcycles #mototouring #asianwomen #motorsportsphotography #scorpionexo #ridersofinsta #adventuretouring #bikerlady #riderstyle #IRodeToday #femalerider #revzilla #motor_adventure #scorpionhelmets #motorsportlife #kosovoiskosovo #rugova #rugovamountains #rugovacanyons #motoexplorer #motoexplore (at Rugova Canyon) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgpn5D8r7ey/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

First ride of the year. Sunny and about 55 degrees in mid Michigan.
In related news, I placed an order today with Revzilla for a set of Michelin Road 5 tires, an Evotech radiator guard, and a Revzilla staff tshirt. I’ve wanted a pair of Michelin Pilot tires for a long time but they didn’t make them in a size that would fit my old Nighthawk.

The Ultimate Guide to Buying a Biker Jacket Online
Tumblr media
A biker jacket isn't just a piece of clothing; it's a symbol of freedom, adventure, and a lifestyle embraced by motorcycle enthusiasts worldwide. Buying a biker jacket online can be a convenient and rewarding experience if you know what to look for. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you find the perfect biker jacket online.
1. Know Your Style
Biker jackets come in various styles, each catering to different tastes and riding needs:
Classic Leather Jacket: Timeless and iconic, these jackets are known for their durability and style. They often feature a cropped design, asymmetrical zippers, and sturdy leather construction.
Textile Jacket: Made from synthetic materials like nylon or polyester, these jackets offer great versatility. They are often waterproof and come with additional features like vents and removable liners.
Adventure/Touring Jacket: Designed for long rides, these jackets provide excellent protection and comfort. They come with multiple pockets, advanced armor, and are usually made from durable materials.
2. Material Matters
The material of your biker jacket is crucial for both safety and comfort. Here are the common materials used:
Leather: Offers excellent abrasion resistance and a classic look. Look for high-quality leather like cowhide, buffalo, or goatskin.
Textile: Lightweight and versatile, textile jackets often come with weatherproofing and better ventilation.
Mesh: Ideal for hot weather, mesh jackets provide great airflow while maintaining protection.
3. Fit and Comfort
A well-fitting biker jacket is essential for comfort and safety. Here are some tips to ensure a good fit:
Measure Yourself: Take accurate measurements of your chest, waist, and hips. Compare these measurements to the size chart provided by the manufacturer.
Consider Riding Position: The jacket should fit comfortably in your typical riding position. It should not be too tight or too loose.
Adjustability: Look for jackets with adjustable straps, zippers, and belts to fine-tune the fit.
4. Protection Features
Safety should be a top priority when choosing a biker jacket. Look for the following protective features:
Armor: Ensure the jacket has CE-certified armor in key areas like the shoulders, elbows, and back.
Abrasion Resistance: High-quality leather or reinforced textiles provide better protection against abrasions.
Visibility: Reflective panels or piping can enhance your visibility to other road users, especially in low light conditions.
5. Climate Considerations
Your choice of biker jacket should align with the climate you'll be riding in:
Cold Weather: Look for jackets with thermal liners, windproofing, and insulation.
Hot Weather: Opt for jackets with good ventilation, mesh panels, and moisture-wicking properties.
Rainy Weather: Waterproof or water-resistant jackets are essential for staying dry during unexpected showers.
6. Check Reviews and Ratings
Before making a purchase, read customer reviews and ratings. They provide valuable insights into the jacket's performance, durability, and fit. Look for reviews from riders who have similar needs and preferences.
7. Return and Exchange Policy
Since buying a jacket online means you can't try it on beforehand, ensure the retailer has a flexible return and exchange policy. This way, you can easily return or exchange the jacket if it doesn't meet your expectations.
8. Budget Considerations
Biker jackets can range from affordable to premium prices. Set a budget that balances your need for quality, protection, and style. Remember that a higher price often reflects better materials and construction.
9. Trusted Retailers
Purchase your biker jacket from reputable online retailers known for their quality products and customer service. Websites like RevZilla, Cycle Gear, and manufacturer's official websites are good places to start.
Conclusion
Buying a biker jacket online doesn't have to be daunting. By considering your style preferences, material, fit, protection features, climate needs, and budget, you can find a jacket that not only looks great but also keeps you safe and comfortable on your rides. Happy shopping, and ride safe!

A Guide to Finding the Perfect Bike Body Cover Online
In the realm of two-wheeled transport, protecting your bike from the elements is paramount. Whether it's rain, dust, or the scorching sun, a quality bike body cover can safeguard your ride and keep it looking pristine. With the convenience of online shopping, finding the right cover for your bike has never been easier. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to get bike body covers online.
Identify Your Bike's Specifications:
Before you start browsing online stores, know your bike's make, model, and dimensions. This information will help narrow down your search and ensure a snug fit for your bike cover.
Research Reputable Online Retailers:
Look for established online retailers that specialize in motorcycle accessories. Websites like Amazon, and RevZilla, or specialized bike accessory stores, like Fabtec, are good places to start. Check customer reviews and ratings to gauge the reliability of the retailer and the quality of their products.
Specify Your Requirements:
Determine the specific features you need in a bike cover. Are you looking for waterproofing, UV protection, or both? Do you need a cover that is suitable for indoor storage or outdoor use? Clarifying your requirements will help you narrow down your options and let you get the best product from Fabtec online.
Browse Through Product Listings:
Once you have found a reputable online store, start browsing their selection of bike body covers. Use filters to refine your search based on criteria such as size, material, color, and price range. Pay attention to product descriptions and specifications to ensure they meet your needs.
Compare Features and Prices:
Don't settle for the first cover you come across. Take the time to compare different covers based on their features, materials, and prices. Consider factors like durability, ease of use, and warranty coverage. Look for value-added features such as ventilation slots, heat-resistant panels, and reflective strips for added safety.
Check Shipping and Return Policies:
Before making a purchase, review the retailer's shipping and return policies. Make sure they offer reliable shipping options to your location and have a hassle-free return process in case the cover doesn't meet your expectations.
Read Customer Reviews:
Customer reviews can provide valuable insights into the quality and performance of a bike cover. Pay attention to feedback regarding durability, fitment, and overall satisfaction. Keep an eye out for any recurring issues or complaints raised by multiple customers.
Consider Customization Options:
Some online retailers offer customization options for bike body covers, allowing you to choose specific colors, graphics, or logos. If personalization is important to you, explore these options to create a unique look for your bike.
Check for Promotions and Discounts:
Keep an eye out for promotions, discounts, or bundle deals that can help you save money on your purchase. Sign up for newsletters or follow the retailer's social media channels to stay informed about upcoming sales and special offers.
Place Your Order Securely:
Once you have found the perfect bike body cover that meets all your requirements, proceed to checkout securely. Double-check your order details, including size and quantity, before making the final purchase. Opt for secure payment methods and ensure that your personal information is protected.

So excited to explore Prizren, I think I forgot something… Swipe to see what I forgot 😺 ⬇️ Hehe whoops! I forgot Athena. I brought her with me the second round of exploring. Sometimes it’s nice not wearing all 10 lbs of moto gear walking around the city. I feel so much lighter and I don’t have to do this whole process of taking off gloves, helmet, headphones, disconnecting charging cords, rolling them up to put in my pockets, locking my bike, etc etc. Do you prefer exploring in regular human clothes or moto gear? I prefer regular clothes 😺 Happy Wednesday y’all! I hope your week is going well. Market Guide: Where to Buy the Best Leather Biker Vest
New Post has been published on https://ashipwreckinthesand.com/market-guide-where-to-buy-the-best-leather-biker-vest/
Market Guide: Where to Buy the Best Leather Biker Vest
Find the Best Leather Biker Vest Deals
A leather biker vest for sale may save you time and money. Leather vests are elegant and protective, but quality, price, and authenticity vary widely. This detailed guide will help you locate the best deals.
Online shopping is smart for savvy shoppers. Amazon and eBay sell a variety of leather biker vests for different likes and budgets. Amazon sells new and used vests from many sellers, making it an excellent way to compare costs and designs. eBay offers buyer protection, essential when buying things of premium size and quality. User reviews on these platforms help determine vest quality and seller dependability.
Leather vests are also available online from motorcycle gear companies. Motorcycle gear websites RevZilla and LeatherUp offer product details, size instructions, and customer reviews to assist consumers in making a decision. These sites are fantastic places to buy high-quality goods since they regularly have clearance sales, especially toward the end of the season.
Local motorbike shops offer a unique shopping experience. You can try on vests, evaluate their fit, and obtain safety and style advice from experienced riders here. Physical stores may have more excellent prices than internet deals, but purchasers like local businesses’ immediate satisfaction and support.
Thrift and secondhand businesses provide cheap leather vests. These businesses receive motorcycle gear, including leather vests in good condition, as donations or consignments. Shopping at these boutiques might be like a treasure hunt, but finding the ideal vest at half the cost is worth it. However, used vests should be checked for wear and tear that could undermine their protection.
Customers who desire customized solutions may visit custom leather stores. This option is more expensive but lets you customize your vest with leathers, designs, and fits. Some riders choose this approach to guarantee their vest fits precisely and matches their style. Custom shops use better, longer-lasting materials, making this a good investment for dedicated riders.
Leather vests can be purchased from individuals and local sellers on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Instagram. Items on these platforms may be listed at lower costs if sellers are clearing outdated stock or no longer require them. Be wary of private sellers to avoid fraud and confirm the vest’s quality and authenticity.
Leather biker vests are also available at motorcycle expos and seasonal discounts. Shoppers sometimes get significant savings during holidays and specials. However, motorcycle fairs and expos offer a choice of brands and designs under one roof. Unique bargains may also be provided at these events.
In conclusion, leather biker vest deals require strategy, time, and study. There are several ways to find a high-quality vest at a reasonable price, including online shopping, custom shops, and thrift and consignment stores. Check reviews, compare costs, and verify leather authenticity for a decent deal and a last vest.
Important Leather Biker Vest Considerations
A leather biker vest for sale might start an excellent shopping journey, but you must halt and examine numerous considerations before buying. The leather biker vest is a motorcycle accessory that provides safety, comfort, and versatility. As a seasoned rider or casual enthusiast, recognizing these crucial factors will help you choose the right vest.
Leather quality should always come first. The supply and treatment of leather affect its durability, feel, and aging. Full-grain leather is well-regarded for its durability and patina. Top-grain leather may be cheaper, but it is still durable and attractive. Genuine leather vests may not tolerate repeated riding. Each leather variety has different care and lifetime requirements, depending on how you use the vest.
Vest fit is crucial and personal. An ideal vest should be snug but comfortable, allowing layers to be worn without inhibiting movement. It should sit at the waist without riding up on a bike. A slack vest might flap in the wind, distracting and dangerous. Conversely, a restrictive vest may limit your mobility, compromising your safety. When trying on vests, replicate riding positions to test their durability.
Another critical factor is vest style. Biker vests range from simple designs to sophisticated ones with zips, studs, and other metalwork. Some vests include distinctive patches or vivid linings that suit riders’ interests and connections. Your vest style expresses your style and affects its functioning. Traveling with keys or a wallet in pockets is convenient and secure.
Ventilation is essential for riders in warmer areas. A vest with adjustable ventilation can improve long-distance comfort as the leather heats. A vest with perforated panels or mesh linings helps regulate airflow and body temperature.
Safety considerations, frequently overlooked in fashion, are vital in motorcycle wear. Rider safety is enhanced with reflective material, cushioning or armor pockets, and robust fasteners. Safety vests may be certified, providing peace of mind and style.
The vest’s craftsmanship indicates its durability and quality. Be careful with stitching, zippers, and snaps. High-quality stitching with enough spacing keeps the vest together during wear and tear, while premium zippers and snaps prevent rust and corrosion. Superior vests frequently stand out for their attention to detail.
Leather motorcycle vests are also worth buying due to their versatility. Think about whether the vest is seasonless or weather-specific. Some vests are slim for summer use, while others are thicker for cold-weather riding and may handle extra layers.
Naturally, price and value affect decision-making. Leather vest prices vary significantly by brand, quality, and features. Setting a budget before shopping helps focus on what matters most getting the most excellent deal. Spending extra on a high-quality vest that protects, lasts, and looks fantastic is frequently worth it.
Personal recommendations and reviews also influence your purchase. Forums, questioning fellow riders, and reading online customer reviews can reveal information about the vest that an inspection may not. These materials can show you how vests perform in real life, what other riders have experienced, and what to expect from them.
Making a well-informed pick that improves your riding experience is more important than selecting a random leather biker vest for sale. Material quality, fit, style, and safety elements are crucial to creating a durable motorcycle jacket. Making the appropriate option will ensure a safe and luxurious journey and destination.
