Favorite headcanon: He's just shrouded in so much mystery and nobody really knows where this kid lives or who his parents are.

I'm saying it now for Circus!Ibvs!Reuben, he's not the brightest lightbulb when it comes to school academics, but damn if he didn't know anything about business and street smarts. His dad is a pretty well off business man, and is actually pretty nice and open to any questions Reuben may have. And Reuben actually takes an interest in his dad's work, often asking questions about the economy that his dad provides him because that man knows what he can and can't tell Reuben. Often times, Reuben's dad will be working on some business shit and Reuben will just come over, sit in his lap and ask him what he's doing, which becomes Reuben carefully helping out his dad on the documents and such. Now I can just imagine him in class and the kids have time to ask the teacher random questions, and he just raises his hand and asks 'How do you sign for a house lease?' and all the kids and teacher look at him like 'bro wtf?' It's one thing Geno admires about Reuben, the fact that he can be sorta stupid and sorta smart at the same time, just with different things. Reuben wants to become, unlike other kids who want to be firefighters and nurses, a business man like his dad!
