Let me set the stage lore-wise :D

In "Merdew Valley", the Pelican Town we know and love is replaced with Pelican Bay, a unique stretch of sea with several different underwater climates to explore. There are underwater caves with rare minerals and sea monsters, undersea volcanoes, sea creatures galore to befriend and farm, reefs, etc. All of which can be explored by diving to the depths via the deck on the beach.

The farmer inherits a beach farm on an island that happens to be directly beside the bay. The Wizard is a Sea Mage that observes your journey and casts a spell that allows you to explore the seas- for a limited time. When approaching the docks you can dive in and witness the bay in all its salty glory.

Joja Co works in land purchase and development and wishes to use the land as a ship harbor/warehouse for their freight transport. As such, you can sometimes purchase things from their wares.

Morris found a good deal of profit to be had in the local resources in the area and has recently started to purchase the rights to the surrounding islands, polluting the waters with the increasing transit. They have also started overfishing recently, which has been especially harmful to our community of merms.

Regardless, they all live fairly quaint and happy lives undersea, in a quintessential Stardew Valley fashion ^^

I do not use she/her or they/them pronouns. I'm fine with it/its pronouns only if you also use those pronouns yourself.

I'm bigender. Specifically, I'm both a man and aporagender, though my manhood is by far the primary part of my gender. If I were to split it up into percentages, I'd say I'm about 95% man, 5% aporagender. Or, I'm 100% man, with some aporagender in addition to that.

I'm also xenic, or xeno-aligned, but not xenogender. I don't consider my xeno-alignment to be a separate gender from the rest of my identity; I'm xenic because I use metaphors to describe my gender.

I don't identify as nonbinary even though I am technically under the nonbinary umbrella, because my gender is so close to binary, and the term "nonbinary" tends to make people think that I'm either genderless, or perfectly between male and female, when I am neither of those things. I don't identify with the "binary or nonbinary" dichotomy and consider it completely irrelevant to my gender.

I consider myself to fall under the transgender and genderqueer umbrellas. I only fall under the nonbinary umbrella under technicality.

I’ve deleted all the posts that were incorrectly flagged as explicit, because they had been stuck in review limbo for in some cases over a year. (I have scrolled back through 6 years of posts, over 500 pages. I’m tired.)

I’ve reposted a couple that I wanted to keep. They were flagged again, I requested review, they were unflagged immediately.

Now to keep haranguing them to unflag my entire blog before the 17th..

I don’t think I’m going to post anything that tumblr would block, though. The ficlet only got blocked because of art incorrectly flagged explicit, and I linked its AO3 location -- it’s just my original post of the fic (written as an emotional reply to @kallielef’s lovely and perfectly sfw artwork) that’s no longer visible. And I have a very old c.2012 dollmaker-plus-photoshop of Aegon & JonCon that’s hidden (why? no clue!), and my (also very old) Rory McCann as Attilla the Hun bath scene photoset is hidden (I can guess why the nsfw bot flagged that one, but I’d bet appealing would set it free -- if there were an orange appeal bar which there’s not, @staff). Otherwise? There’s no reason for tumblr to block any of my metaposts, and as far as I can tell so far, nothing of that sort is missing. Nothing significant, at any rate.

But if for some reason something did get blocked, I’d announce it here, and repost it on AO3 or dreamwidth, probably.  But I very much doubt anything of mine would run into that trouble. I get inspired to make art and graphics, but I almost never make any... but it’d certainly be sfw if I did (my one sexy sansan photoshop is only slightly racy)... and text is no problem for tumblr at all. Hope that helps!

All our art is still here! The weird dates are because of the flagged content that we contested. Apparently when Tumblr is “fixing” the posts to be no longer flagged, they’re reposting them to front of our blog (but not changing the date posted asdjfslfjk). There isn’t anything we can do about the messed up timeline, because deleting these posts will delete them entirely. Going to our tumblr via Dashboard looks to be working fine.

TL;DR All the art is still there it’s just stuff that was incorrectly flagged and Tumblr can’t fix anything without breaking it more ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overthinking

This was supposed to be my “don’t overthink things” tumblr.  I have another one that I was hardly ever posting to because I was constantly thinking about whether this or that was really good enough to post.  So I started this one where I was determined to just post everything I liked without giving it a second thought.  But now this adult content ban is pushing me back to overthinking.  I’ve been reposting things from the past that were incorrectly flagged (in my opinion).  But now I find myself thinking, “is this really good enough for the inevitable hassle with appealing a flag?” “is that a tiny glimpse of a forbidden nipple there?” “does that wisp of pubic hair in a picture count as genitals for tumblr?” “is this painting too realistic for tumblr’s thought police?” “do these reposts I’ve been doing have the wrong mix of content types?”

This kid is fighting two battles at once!! So, this little warrior is from Brazil. This boy has a very rare lung disease which makes him use this cylinder and tube to be able to breath normally. Until he was 4 years old nobody knew exactly what the disease was and he had to use a mask all the time, until they discovered what it was and now he uses the cylinder with a portable oxygen tank. He can take off the tubes for 30 minutes a day, but even with this he lives as a normal child, helping his mother doing house chores and practicing karate. He is a yellow belt in Shotokan Karate, and in this picture he's participating in a Kata competition (simulated combat), and because of this he's using this red belt, which at least in Shotokan Karate is one of the two colors used in competitions, the other color being blue, to separate the competitors and for the referees to distribute the points easily, using flags of the same colors. Oxygen therapy is used in lung conditions that prevents the lungs from absorbing oxygen, such as in COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and pneumonia. On the other hand, cystic fibrosis is yet another serious heritable disease caused by mutations in the CFTR gene. This gene encodes for a protein involved in transporting salt across cell membranes. Mutations cause the CFTR protein to be made incorrectly, or not at all. Without proper salt transport, thick, sticky mucus builds up in organs. In the lungs, this mucus can make breathing difficult, as well as making patients more susceptible to respiratory infections.
