Renuka lake is the biggest natural lake in Himachal which surrounded by lower Himalayan mountains. There are wildlife sanctuary and Lion safari too. Weather is also very pleasant in summers. In noon you can feel some heat in sunlight but mornings and evenings are pretty cold which is the best time for shoot also. You can easily reach there from Dehradun or Chandigarh. There are many good hotels to stay there.

The temple of Chamunda Devi is located 8 km away from Dharamshala.From Kangra, It is approximately 20 km away.It is known as Chamunda Nandikeshwar Dham.This place also has a beautiful bathing ghat. Up in the Dhauladhar hills, a trek of about 16 km. is the place where Bhagwati Chamunda.
According to the Hindu mythology, the trunk of Sati had fallen in this place after her body is cut into fifty one pieces by Lord Vishnu with his chakra. According to another myth, the goddess of the temple beheaded Chand and Munda, two demons. The other name for Chamunda Devi is Mahakali.

Masroor Rock-cut Temple Kangra
Masroor Rock-cut temple is also known as Ajanta-Elora of Himachal Pradesh. Masroor is 26 km. from Gaggal on Nagrota-Surian link road and is famous for remarkable group of rock-cut temples. They form a group of 15 monolithic rock-cut temples in the Indo-Aryan style. The main shrine contains three stone images of Rama, Lakshmana and Sita.There is also presence of figure of the Shiva in the centre of the temple, according to people this temple was originally dedicated to Mahadev.
Chaurasi Temple is located in the Bharmaur, district Chamba of Himachal Pradesh.There are 84 temples in this temple. The main complex have temple of Lakshana Devi, Ganesha, Manimahesh and Narsingha.According to religeous perceptions, 84 Yogi’s visited Bharmaur during the region of king Sahil Verman. Pleased with the king’s humanity and hospitality, the yogis blessed the king with ten sons and a daughter Champawati.Chaurasi Temple is 65 km away from Chamba.
Lukshami Narayana Temple at Chamba
Lukshami Narayana Temple is located in district Chamba of Himachal Pradesh.This temple was constucted in 10th century during the reign of King Sahil Verman. In its complex, there are five other temples dedicated to Chandra Shekhar Mahadev, Radha-Krishna, Gauri-Shankar, Lakshmi-Damodara and Tryambakeshwar. These are artistically decorated and have been built in the Shikhara style.
Bijli Mahadev Temple at Kullu
The temple of Bijli Mahadev is situated in the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh. The altitude at which the temple is situated is about 2,436 meter, a mesmerizing location.
According to an ancient belief the priest of the temple has to restore the Shiva linga placed inside the temple after every lightening. It has been so believed by the devotees because it is thought that the Shiva linga shatters to pieces with the flash of lightening. There goes this eternal cycle of destruction and restoration of the Shiva linga in the temple of Bijli Mahadev. The Lord Shiva is believed to control the energy released by the atmosphere and thus protects the earth from destruction.20 metres high wooden pole stands are installed for attracting lightening from the sky which breaks the Shiva linga in so many pieces.
Hadimba Temple at Kullu
Hadimba Temple is located in Manali,a favorite tourist destination of district Kullu,Himachal Pradesh.The Hadimba Temple is built to pay admiration to Devi Hadimba. Devi Hadimba was the wife of Second Pandav, Bhim. Maharaja Bahadur Singh built the Hadimba Temple in the year 1533. The architecture of this temple is worth appreciating. The special feature of the Hadimba Temple is the roof that has the shape of a four tiered pagoda roof.
According to the story of the Mahabharata, the Bhim killed Hadimba brother Hadimb, a demon and married Hadimba in due course. After Hadimba’s marriage to Bhim, she undertook a penance and gave birth to a son known as Ghatotkach. In the later years her son emerged to be a brave fighter. From then onwards, Hadimba is worshiped as Devi Hadimba, a goddess.
The divinity is popularly worshipped throughout the region during the festivals and the goddess is transported to Kullu to visit the Lord Raghunathji during International Kullu Dussehra festival.
Sh. Renuka Ji Temple at Nahan
It is a beautiful site in the district Sirmour of the state Himachal Pradesh. The principal shrine at Renuka which is also known as the ‘Math’ was built in 1814 by the Gorkha raiders. The shrine is home to a stunning deity of Goddess Renuka Devi. The Renuka Lake (672 m) is regarded as the embodiment of Renuka Ji, the wife of the sage Jamadagini and the mother of Parshurama – one of the ten `Avatars` of Lord Vishnu. Shaped like the profile of a woman, the lake has the circumference of 2.5 km and is the largest in Himachal.There is another lake in the area which is named Parshurama Lake and it is assumed to symbolize Lord Parshu Rama. is a myth associated with the Renuka Lake which says, at one time, Rishi Jamdagni became angry with Renuka. He ordered Parshurama to cut off Renuka’s head. The obedient son had no option to go against his father. When Parshurama performed the task that was ordered by Rishi Jamdagni, he was not able to endure the death of Renuka, his mother. His father was also regretful and upset regarding the heartrending event. Rishi Jamdagni at that moment ordered Parshurama to breathe life into his mother. His son, who was the embodiment of Lord Vishnu, did it instantly which otherwise was an unattainable job. Mythologies claim that Lord Parshurama, after this event, moved towards Mehendra mountain for carrying out contemplation. Since he made a vow to come to his blessed mother every year, the Renuka fair is celebrated as a festive event to honor the happening. As a result, this fair is being organized for more than hundreds of years.
Rewalsar Temple
A mesmerizing place in the district Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. Rewalsar in Mandi district is about 20 km. from Mandi town. It is a pilgrimage centre revered equally by the Hindus, the Sikhs and the Buddhist alike. A natural lake with floating islands on it are a unique attraction of the lake one can see the Shiva temple, the Guru Gobind Singh’s Gurudwara and Buddhist Monastery.The Hindus believe that it was here that the ‘Lomas Rishi’ held his penance in devotion to lord Shiva. A three-tiered Pagoda-like temple dedicated to the sage lies by the lake – and he is regarded to have meditated here.
