Or you should go for a bike rental in Goa?
On your trip, Give yourself a chance to discover the perfect option for beach-hopping on a budget: getting a bike on rent in Goa. Zipping around Goa on two wheels gave me the flexibility to cruise the coastline and inland lanes at your own pace. And it costs a fraction of group tours or taxis. 2. Visit all the wishlist places
With the bike secured, it is time to hit the beaches running! Kickstart your trip with a ride up the coast to laidback Arambol Beach. You can park your bike for free right in the sand and spend a blissful few hours sunbathing and splashing in the calm water. Refueled by a late lunch of sumptuous Goan fish curry at a beach shack, Get a full-hand experience by motoring down to wild Paradise Beach for a stunning golden hour view before heading inland to spend the night.

Parking and accessing Palolem Beach is easy with bike rental in Goa, so you will be able to walk right onto the beach and grab a beach chair rental. You whiled away the afternoon swimming and reading in paradise before following the coastal road to Agonda Beach to watch the sunset.

With Goa bike rental and Rentnhop as your trusty transportation, you’ll have total freedom to follow whims, take side roads, meet friendly locals, and discover hidden spots other tourists miss.
Conclusion
All said bike rental in Goa ends up saving you thousands of rupees over a hired car or package bus tour. And you’ll get to fully immerse yourself in Goan life - not just glimpse it through a taxi window. So if you want to live by Goa time and do it affordably, a bike is the way to ride. Companies like bike rental in Goa give fantastic rates, solid bikes, and flexibility. Just don't forget sunscreen and a bit of bravery on those narrow coastal roads.

November 29 2019
It is amazing to have a leisurely morning once in a while. It's a luxury that I hadn't really learned to appreciate before traveling with Bobby, but now he encourages me to take a moment of rest. I woke up around 6:45, made myself some instant coffee from the room, and sat on the balcony to enjoy the sunrise (and update some of the past days for this blog!). It was so peaceful as Goa seems to be more a beach town with a slower rhythm. We meet up with Stephanie, Patrick, Debbie, and Richard at 9 am for breakfast where we had some of the most delicious French toast! It is so fluffy and tender inside, it blew my mind. We also had tasty beet and apple juice and dosas.
After that, we take sometime to sit by the pool and chat. Bobby takes a dip and swims around a bit. Around 11, it starts getting rowdier as the kids arrive to play. Anna greets us and says that we're going on a drive to Arambol beach which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful beaches, but it is an hour drive away. We are a little hesitant to partake since we were traveling all day yesterday and wanted to maximize our one day in Goa. However, it seems like the best option since our hotel was far from the beach. Rahul rented this huge red Jeep, but it can only hold 8. Realistically it holds 6 and the other 5 jump into a rented car. We were the lucky ones who got Rahul driving in the jeep.
Unfortunately the jeep is quite tall with little suspension and the first couple of bumps we go over send Bobby and Richard flying into the ceiling. Bobby is so carsick when we have to stop for gas, but the person sitting up front, Andrew, is kind enough to switch with Bobby. After bumping and jostling around for 45 minutes, we make it to the beach. The sun is blinding and Anna needs a bathing suit so I set off to find some sunglasses with them. Down this street was a riot of color with folks hawking their wares, mostly things you'd expect in a beach town. Patrick needs some too so we wander off to a small shop owned by a women who seemed to be feeding her small child lunch. I pick out some funky shades for Bobby and me since we have so many wayfarers back home. The damage was only 240 rupees which is less than $4 and I decide not to haggle since it's so little. Plus it's this woman's livelihood and she deserves to make some money for her family as well.
We make our way back to the beach, and right before we get to the main beach, we hear someone calling our names from above. There is a restaurant shack that had stairs leading up to two platforms. Our party has taken up the second platform which was about 7 feet up in the air by the little path that lead out to the water. It is a strict no shoes area and there are cushions to lounge on and short coffee tables. We order caparinhas, beers, prawns, naan, and pakoras. It is amazing just lounging about eating and reading our books. Of course we don't get a ton of reading done because we can't help chatting to each other. At one point, we go out to the water in shifts. We were lucky in finishing our food because the first shift got rained on. When we went out, the sun was starting to peek out from behind the clouds.
Bobby, Debbie, Richard, Stephanie, Patrick and I went out to swim in the water which was the warmest I had ever experienced, although I will admit I'm not a beach person. This was the Arabian Sea and it was quite salty. We floated around and jumped over the waves. There were a good number of other foreigners around, but there were a lot of Indian men in the water as well. Interestingly, there weren't a lot of Indian women who went into the water. It was super fun, but after a while the salt made us thirsty and made our eyes sting. While walking back to the beach, a small herd of cows settled in. It was pretty funny to see them just chill on the sand like it was no big deal. I guess beach cows like the warmth too!
We settled up because we had a reservation at a Greek restaurant at 6 pm. The one thing we bartered for was not to sit in the jeep, so we got to ride in the cab instead. Sadly, tragedy struck right before we got into the car- I dropped my phone face down into the dirt and the screen hit a rock and splintered the top of my screen. (this is the last selfie that I took with this phone without a crack) My phone is still totally usable, it just now has some battle scars from India. We jump into the car and wind our way down the road. Suddenly, there was some tall white wash walls and we turned right into a small oasis town. The whole restaurant was white and we managed to catch that last couple of minutes before sunset.
There was a live DJ spinning beats and we also ordered a watermelon hookah. I was a little underdressed for the occasion, but I had a good time eating some chicken risotto, beef gyro, and French fries with real Heinz ketchup! The restaurant also had some live acts with women with flaming poi and fan dancers. It was entertaining, but I felt sticky and salty from the day, so I was ready to go home and shower.
Back the hotel, we took long luxurious showers and washed the day off of us. We met up in Stephanie and Patrick's room to play card games. We were joined by Debbie, Anna and Rahul as we sipped on wine leftover from the wedding and ordered more Indian whiskeys to try. It was the perfect way to wind down our one full day in Goa- with friends and laughter.

North Goa Roadtrip - 3 days
Hello,
My wife and I did an unplanned trip to Goa for 5 days (including 2 days travel). This was our first trip to Goa. We decided to cover North Goa places in this trip.
Since it was off-season, we got a Guest House for just Rs. 500 per night in Anjuna (thru Goibibo). It was a suite room with TV, AC, Fridge, Balcony. A compact room and located near the beaches.
Day 1: Thane - Anjuna
We start our roadtrips always very early in the morning in order to avoid traffic. It is also very peaceful to drive. We started from our home at 3:30 AM. Our first stop was ahead of Satara for tea.
We took the Belgaum-Chorla Ghat route since the roads were really good and quite scenic too. This is one of the longer routes in comparison to Amboli Ghat. We avoided the Amboli Ghat since the roads were terrible with lot of potholes.
We reached Anjuna by 2:30 PM. Settled down in our room and took a nap till 4:30 PM. We headed out to Anjuna beach in the evening but we didn't find any good place so we moved to Baga beach. We have heard of Britto's. So we went there for a beer and some snacks. Its a nice place right by the beach to spend an evening.
Day 2: Mapusa - Harvalem - Fort Aguada - Sinquerim Beach
We started off the day with Mapusa Market since it was a Friday. The market is typical with Fruits/Vegetables, Clothing. Indians can basically skip this market. Locals sell pork dishes.
Harvelam falls, Rudreshwar Temple and Harvalem caves are located some 30 - 40 kms from Mapusa. This place is a worth a visit since it is an off-beat location, there is less crowd too.
We went to Anand Bar & Seafood restaurant in Anjuna as recommended by the owners of the guesthouse. The food was really good and quite cheap too. The place is popular among the locals and tourists. It was quite crowded on a weekday afternoon. Since it was off-season, the rates were lesser than what was printed on menu. Got a vegetable biryani and gobi manchurian for just Rs. 220.
We wanted to cover Fort Aguada and Reis Magos Fort. But we ran out of time in the evening. This place is ok to visit maybe in the morning when it will be less crowded. Good views of the ocean from the fort.
Day 3: Indian Naval Aviation Museum - 3 Kings Chapel - ShantaDurga Temple - Mangueshi Temple - Arambol Beach
Indian Naval Aviation museum is located near the Dabolim Airport. We started with this place as it was southern most and covered other places one by one. It was 45 kms from Anjuna.
There are a few models of aircrafts in display. There is nothing much to see in this museum. A couple of torpedoes, INS Vikrant model etc.
The best part which we liked to do in Goa was driving around the interior areas. It was quite scenic with views of green fields, hills, backwaters, chapels. This is something one should not miss when in Goa apart from the beaches. Take a bike or rent a car and roam around aimlessly to see the real beauty of Goa.
3 Kings Chapel is one of the haunted places in Goa. Nobody is allowed here after 6 PM. This place is 10 kms from the airport. It is located on top of a hill. There was a car and couple of bikes parked near the gate and nobody was around. We were not sure whether we were allowed to go inside. So we just walked inside a couple of 100 metres to reach the church. The place was really quiet and eagles were hovering in the skies. We saw a few people near the church and were a bit relieved. This church opens only on a Sunday. Great views of the villages and the ocean from the church. A must visit place!
We spent the evening at Arambol beach. It is a beautiful beach. Quite clean and less crowded too. Sip a beer in one of the shacks and relax. Don't think!
Day 4: Reis Magos Fort - Old Goa
We visited Reis Magos Fort in the morning. There is an entry fee of Rs. 20 per person and a vehicle will take you to the top of the fort. Just a couple of minutes drive. There is a beautiful church located right next to the fort. Reis Magos fort is a must visit place! Showcases the works of Mario De Miranda, Cartoonist.
Old Goa
We visited Fontainhas (Latin Quarter) area in Old Goa which has Portuguese styled houses. Its quite beautiful to walk around this place.
Bom Basilica, Church of St. Assisi, Se Cathedral are places of historical importance.
A few travel tips for Goa:
1. Cashew Nuts - Go to Old Goa market (Panji Market) to get the best quality and good price cashnew nuts. It costs Rs. 900 per kg with quite a lot of varieties available.
2. Fenni - A drink made of Coconut or Cashew is the local drink. It is a must try when in Goa
3. For Vegetarians - Look out for Udupi hotels in Calangute road, Old Goa etc. This is your best bet if you don't like the smell of seafood.
4. Villages - Visit the interior villages of Goa. This is where the beauty of real Goa is.
5. Beer - Alcohol is available like everywhere. You can drink all you want. Drink responsibly! Do not drink and drive.
6. Other place of interest: Salim Ali Bird sanctuary, Chorao Island, Dudhsagar waterfalls will be worth a visit during the season.
We returned via the Amboli Ghat route. The roads were quite bad with lot of potholes but we got to see the beautiful Amboli Waterfalls on the way. There was no difference in travel time.
Thank you for reading my blog. Any queries, just post your comments. Will be happy to help.

Provide Documentation: To rent a bike, you’ll typically need to provide a valid ID, such as your passport, driver’s license, or Aadhaar card. If you’re renting a geared bike, international travelers may need to show their international driving permit or a valid local license.
Security Deposit and Charges: Most rental shops require a security deposit, which will be refunded upon the safe return of the bike. The daily rental charges depend on the type of bike and the duration of the rental. Some shops may also charge for fuel, so make sure to check the details.
Inspect the Bike: Before taking the bike, inspect it for any damage. Check the tires, brakes, lights, and fuel level. It’s also a good idea to ensure that the bike is in good working condition and ready for the road.
Return the Bike: When you're done with your bike rental, return the bike in the same condition as when you received it. Make sure to return the bike with the same fuel level and check if there are any damages. The security deposit will be refunded if everything is in order.

Car Rental in Mopa Airport
Self-Drive Car Rental at Mopa Airport, Goa: Your Gateway to North Goa Adventures
Mopa Airport, also known as Goa International Airport (Mopa), is a new and emerging hub for travelers arriving in North Goa, one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Situated in the northern part of Goa, Mopa Airport is strategically located to offer easy access to both North and South Goa. Whether you're coming to explore the pristine beaches, vibrant culture, or historic landmarks, renting a Self-Drive Car on Mopa Airportgives you the freedom to discover the region at your own pace.
Why Choose a Self-Drive Car Rental at Mopa Airport?
Seamless Travel from the Start: After landing at Mopa Airport, the last thing you want to do is wait for a taxi or rely on public transport. With a self-drive car rental, you can avoid long queues and start your journey immediately. Simply pick up your car from the airport and drive off to your destination—no waiting, no hassle.
Freedom and Flexibility: One of the biggest advantages of a self-drive car is the freedom to explore Goa without depending on anyone else. You can follow your own schedule, visit hidden beaches, check out local markets, and make spontaneous stops at scenic spots. Whether it’s a quiet morning drive or a late-night beach outing, the choice is yours.
Explore North Goa and Beyond: Mopa Airport is perfectly located to explore the best of North Goa. From the pristine beaches of Morjim, Ashwem, and Mandrem to the historic forts like Chapora and Aguada, renting a self-drive car allows you to visit these spots at your leisure. You can also venture farther to explore places like the vibrant markets in Mapusa, or the more secluded beaches of Arambol and Siolim.
Cost-Effective and Convenient: Renting a self-drive car is often more cost-effective than constantly hiring taxis or using public transportation, especially if you're staying for an extended period. With the car at your disposal, you avoid the inconvenience of having to book rides each time you want to head out. This can also help you save money, as rentals are usually more economical for longer stays.
Privacy and Comfort: A self-drive car offers a private, comfortable space for you and your companions. There’s no need to share your ride with strangers, and you can enjoy the ride with your own music, air conditioning, and luggage storage. Whether traveling solo, with family, or in a group, the car provides a relaxing experience.
How to Rent a Self-Drive Car at Mopa Airport
Choose a Reputable Rental Company: Several car rental services operate at Mopa Airport, offering a range of vehicles for every budget and preference. From compact cars to SUVs and luxury vehicles, there is a car for everyone. It's crucial to choose a reliable company with positive customer reviews, a fleet of well-maintained cars, and clear terms and conditions. Always ensure the company offers round-the-clock customer support for added convenience.
Booking Process: Booking a self-drive car at Mopa Airport is easy. You can either book online in advance through various car rental platforms or directly with the rental agency. It’s a good idea to book early, especially during the high tourist season, to guarantee availability. Many agencies also offer airport pick-up and drop-off, so you can have the car ready as soon as you land.
Required Documents: To rent a car, you will need:
A valid driver’s license (Indian or international)
A government-issued photo ID (Aadhar card, passport, etc.)
A security deposit, which will be refunded when the car is returned in good condition.
Make sure your license is valid throughout the duration of the rental.
Insurance and Terms: Car on Rent in Mopa Airport offer basic insurance coverage as part of the rental agreement. However, it's essential to check the terms carefully to understand the scope of the coverage. You may also opt for additional coverage, especially for things like third-party damage or personal accident insurance, for extra peace of mind.
Fuel Policy and Return: Self-drive car rentals typically follow a full-to-full fuel policy. This means you will receive the car with a full tank and are expected to return it with a full tank of fuel. Be sure to check the fuel levels when you pick up the car to avoid extra charges when returning it.
Top Destinations to Explore with a Self-Drive Car from Mopa Airport
Morjim and Ashwem Beaches: Located just a short drive from Mopa Airport, Morjim and Ashwem are known for their serene atmosphere, clean sands, and beautiful waters. These beaches are perfect for relaxation, sunbathing, and water activities without the crowds often found at more popular North Goa beaches.
