When the state becomes a symbol of Oppression: "Seun Kuti surrendered himself yet treated like a common criminal" - Reno
Tumblr media
When the Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Yunusa Ari, disappeared, did the police invade his house? Yet, even after Seun Kuti surrendered himself to the police, they handcuffed him, paraded him like a common criminal, and raided his home. All because he slapped a policeman, which is, at worse, a misdemeanour. This looks like malice. This looks like institutional bias. -Reno Omokri Read the full article

DISTANCE DOESN'T MATTER
HOW TO KNOW IF THE LOVE IS REAL
When someone loves you, you know and you will feel it. There will be evidences to attest to it.
Below are some of the evidences...
✅ ATTENTION
When someone loves you, he or she will give you attention. We give attention to the things that we love.
✅ CARE
When someone loves you, they will care about your well-being. Anyone that doesn't care about your welfare does not love you.
✅ COMMUNICATION
When someone loves you, they will communicate often with you as much as possible. Hearing the voice of whom you love is a delight.
✅ GIVING
The natural outflow of love is giving. When someone loves you, they will give. It doesn't necessarily has to be money but there will be giving.
✅ SPENDING TIME TOGETHER
When someone loves you, they will desire and long to spend time with you. When you love someone, you will desire the presence of the person. Anyone that doesn't like spending time with you, may not love you.
✅ SACRIFICE
The ultimate prove of love is sacrifice. Love is not self-seeking. Love always spends itself at the expense of the beloved. Someone that is not going out of his way once in a while to make you feel good, may not love you. Love is sacrificial.
✅ PATIENCE
When someone loves you, they will patient with you. They will be patient with in your weaknesses, down time, etc.
✅ PROTECTION
When someone loves you, they will try to protect you from harm, they will ensure that you are safe.
✅ KINDNESS
When someone loves you, they will be kind to you. Love is kind. Harshness is a sign of hatred, resentment or anger not a sign of love.
✅ VULNERABILITY
When someone loves you, they will vulnerable to you. They will loose their guard, put down their defence, they will dismantle the barricade and they will show you the weak side of them hoping you don't hurt them.
✅ SUPPORT
When someone loves you, they will support you in whatever capacity they can. They will support your dreams and aspirations, they will support you financially, spiritually, emotionally and otherwise.
✅ INVESTMENT
When someone loves you, they will invest in you to make you better than they met you mentally, emotionally, economically etc. Love builds up.
So these are some of the signs that shows someone loves you.
How Do You Know That The Love Is Real?
✅ Give It Time
I read something from Reno Omokri recently that made a lot of sense to me. In fact, it put what I want to say in perfect perspective for me.
He says, "No mask can be worn forever. Give people time. Their mask will fall. Until then, don't marry or do business with them. Stay loving, but be alert."
You cannot cover pregnancy forever, with time it will be revealed for all to see.
So, give the person time. He says he loves you with all his heart, you are his morning star, sunshine, sugar in the tea, butter in the bread and his one and only woman, there's no problem. Give it time.
When he asks for sex and you tell him no sex until marriage, will he still continue to love?
When you find yourself in a very difficult situation, maybe you are critically ill, will he still continue to love?
She says she loves you, you are her world and you mean everything to her. Without you she cannot live nor survive. You are her oxygen and life-force. There is no problem. Give it time.
When you loose your job or suffer a major blow in your business, will she still love?
When you are broke and unable to provide for her financial needs, will she still love or disappear with another guy?
Don't rush things. Give it time. Time is a revealer. Time will reveal if the love is real or not, with time you will come to know if the person is saying the truth or lying. Love perseveres and love is long-suffering. Stay loving, but be alert.
"Time will reveal if the love is real or not..."

Joe Igbokwe I Know, Bayo Onanuga I know, Reno Omokri I Know… Who Is This Amaka?

Racial discrimination in the Southeast of Nigeria - Reno
Tumblr media
Rather than ganging up against Dr. Reuben Abati, let us accept the fact that the Southeast is the part of Nigeria most closed to outsiders. Even amongst themselves, there is discrimination. Ebonyi people have repeatedly complained of difficulty renting properties in Anambra. Fact-check me. There have been multiple cases of Ebonyi people showing evidence of how their money was returned to them by Anambra and Enugu landlords when it was discovered that they were from Ebonyi. When President Tinubu appointed Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla as the Chief of Naval Staff, he was accused of being a non-Igbo speaking Igbo by people from his region. Over 25 Igbos have been elected into high office in Lagos and the Southwest, including Oghene Egoh, Rita Orji, Tony Nwoolu, and many others. Even President Tinubu, whom many Obidients love to insult, appointed Igbos into his cabinet as Commissioner when he was Governor. Ben Akabueze was one of them. There are Igbos elected and appointed into various political positions in Northern Nigeria, including Chidebelu Ewuzie, a Special Adviser to the Gombe State Governor, George Dike, a Special Adviser to the Niger State Governor, Kester Ogualili, a Special Adviser to the Borno State Governor, and Cyprian Nelson Len, an Igbo man who won a House of Assembly seat in Taraba, amongst others. But how many Lukumi Yorubas, Northerners or Niger Delta people are elected or appointed into high office in all the five states of the Southeast? Please name one. During last year's election, political opponents of Anthony Chinasa, a Labour Party candidate in Abia, added Abiola to his name in a poster to make people not vote for him. Please fact-check me. The man had to call a press conference to reject the name Abiola! Even when you look at the results of the #NigerianElections2023, you find that the only region that voted tribally was the Southeast. Whereas Peter Obi got 19.90% of the SW votes, Tinubu only got 5% of the Southeast votes, totalling 127,370. Waziri Atiku got only 4% of the votes in the Southeast, totalling 90,968. Meanwhile, in his own region, the Northeast, Peter Obi got 315,107 votes, which was 9.17% of the votes. However, the Southeast is also the most vociferous in accusing the other regions of being tribalistic in their voting patterns even when the facts indict them. So, let us not act as if Reuben Abati lied. He spoke an inconvenient truth, and as usual, those he exposed wanted to bully him into submission on social media. It failed in 2023, it will fail in 2024, and it will keep failing in the years to come. Reno Omokri Gospeller. Deep Thinker. #TableShaker. The economy of Nigeria is not crumbling, Reno Omokri replies Dele Momodu
Tumblr media
On Thursday, July 18, Dele wrote an open letter to President Tinubu in which he expressed concern about the status of the country, citing the flagging economy in particular. Reno made the case that the Nigerian economy is solid in a post that was posted on X. He then listed a few examples to support his claim. He wrote; Response to My Beloved Senior, Dele Momodu: Nigeria's Economy Is Not Collapsing. Far From It! Dear Egbon Dele Momodu, I read your open letter to President Bola Tinubu, in which you said, "Our economy has virtually collapsed", among other things. Respectfully, the facts do not support your assertions, and in your open letter, you did not provide any facts. Only opinions. So, please let me present some facts that contradict your opinions. Firstly, only yesterday, the International Monetary Fund projected that due to the reforms being undertaken by the current administration, Nigeria will have a 3.1% GDP growth rate in 2024. This is one of the best projections for an African country in 2024, and does not signal an economy that has ‘virtually collapsed.’ Secondly, Nigeria had a record high of ₦6.52 trillion trade surplus in the first quarter of 2024. This has never happened before. We routinely had trade deficits in the past. This means that because of the monetary reforms by the current government, Nigeria is now exporting significantly more than it is importing, and the growth is largely in the non-oil sector. For example, Nigeria is now a net exporter of clement to Europe and a growing exporter of refined petroleum products to Europe and West African states. Ghana, a fellow petroleum exporting country, is largely dependent on LPG from Nigeria. This projects growth, not collapse. Thirdly, in terms of revenue, all Nigerian states, bar none, have received significantly higher federal allocations since May 29, 2023, than they were receiving under the Buhari regime. Each state now gets at least 45% more federal allocation, with Nasarawa getting almost 100% more and Anambra getting 70% more, whereas their wage bill has not increased. The above projects economic strength rather than collapse. Fourthly, according to Financial Derivatives (FDC), with a Return on Investment of 22.90%, Nigeria's Stock Exchange is now the most profitable capital market on Earth, bar none. Please note that. Bar none. The National Bureau of Statistics has also corroborated this. For the first time in our history, the all-share index (ASI) of the Nigerian Stock Exchange crossed the 100,000 mark in 2024. I would not categorise such growth as collapse, and I am sure investors who smiled to the bank would not either. Fifthly, capital inflow into Nigeria increased by 66.27% this year. This is probably w Read the full article
