Reiwa no Dara-san is actually fantastic. Sure it goes a bit too heavy on "that kind" of tropes at times but when it doesn't it's honestly one of my fav series I've read in the past few years.

Baller character designs, intriguing backstory which is very nicely juxtapositioned to the slice of life elements, funny characters, and it really seems like the author is knowledgeable about classical Japan.

I think the part of Reiwa no Dara-san that works most for me is the fact that the spooky monster woman is the one non-freak character in there, like she's the most normal and happens to be surrounded by complete fuckin lunatics as well as the dark gooner

Im in that part of the night where I've clicked on a random manga cause I thought the art was cool. Then they put panties on the snake women and gave her a bra.

Fucking wild, it's not done in a sexual way. It actually super gruesome when they show the gross meat slabs that are the women normal legs. Like the snake part only hides the fact her legs are just gone.

Also their doing some weird gender none conforming thing with the two main leads which are kid. The eldest son dresses like a girl and the youngest daughter dresses like a boy.

I think translation are all over the place cause I though the girl was the eldest and the boy was the youngest. But anyway it raising my "oh Japan" red flags.
