Why does Windows keep breaking things so I have to spend an hour troubleshooting? Today, my games decided not to play sound. Finally managed to install an old driver from 2019, which fixed the problem. My laptop is from 2016, which is old by tech standards but it still handles most current gen games just fine (I have even used it to play Baldur's Gate 3) and I hate that Windows just keeps fucking shit up with updates. This is the newest driver for my laptop, so why does Windows keep overwriting it with non compatible bs??? Annoying. I will not be buying a new laptop any time soon. If I need more power, I will upgrade my PC with new parts.
