Mothers are truly one of the most precious gifts in life. They are our first teachers, role models, and the ones who love us unconditionally. Every day is an opportunity to express our love and gratitude towards them, but Mother's Day gives us a special chance to show our appreciation.

From the moment we were born, our mothers have dedicated their time and energy to ensure our well-being. They have nurtured us, protected us, and instilled in us values that have shaped us into the individuals we are today. They have selflessly put our needs before their own and have always been there to offer a listening ear or a comforting hug.

Mothers are often the unsung heroes of the family, taking care of the household, managing finances, and making sure everything runs smoothly. They do all this with an unwavering strength and resilience, never asking for anything in return. It is this selflessness that makes them truly remarkable.

As we grow older, we begin to appreciate our mothers even more. We start to realize the sacrifices they have made for us and the unconditional love they have shown us. We come to understand that we would not be where we are today without them.

Our teacher once said that "Technology is only as powerful as the hands that wield it." so we are the one who should control the Technology, not us.From that day on, I'm really hooked up with the subject Empowernent Technology.

In my journey through the subject of Empowerment Technology, I've explored various tech tools and skills that have broadened my knowledge and skills from crafting games in PowerPoint to mastering mail merges, Excel formulas, editing with Photoshop, and even creating website design and content creation through vlogs and blogs, the experience has been a whirlwind of discovery and growth.

However, in the plethora of technical know-how I've acquired, one lesson stands out for me:the genuine, sincere, and loving approach of our teacher,

Mr. Lester Balauro.

Mr. Balauro's genuine care for our learning journey was evident in every class we have, whether in the classroom or through virtual platforms. He took the time to listen, to understand our struggles, and to celebrate our wins. His sincerity shone through his support, encouragement, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that each and every one of us grasped the concepts and skills being taught.

As I reflect on my journey through Empowerment Technology, I realize that the most valuable lesson I've learned isn't just about mastering technical skills; it's about embracing the humanity inherit in learning. And for that, I am eternally grateful to Mr. Lester Balauro, whose genuineness, sincerity, and love have left an indelible mark on my heart and mind.

How would EmpTech help me in my future career?

In the field of computer science, proficiency in technology is needed. From programming languages to software development and beyond, having a solid foundation in empowerment technology will give me a head start in my studies and future career.

EMPTECH PETITION REFLECTION

It is OKAY not to be OKAY

One of the aims of this petition is to achieve and deliver a message through empowering the victims to speak up and to gain the support that they need, and to remember that , kindness matters, and We are in this together.

I raised an awareness on how could people suffering with mental heath conditions seek help and not be ashamed or think that they are alone with their silent battles. Because this really happens in real life situations. This petition opened up my heart to clarify certain stigmas that could perfectly ruined someone's life. Iam glad that we got to create petitions on sites like these as we are engaged in creating our own advocacies that we can share through people and make them aware on some of the things that is really happening around the world that we can relate in to.

Seemingly ordinary days can turned out to be extraordinary in its own way, if people will promote change and advocacies like these more. Iam grateful that with this subject in our class (empowerment technologies) we can be abke to speak up or voice out our own perspectives when it comes to different stigmas or social issues that we are in, right now.

We, as an individual and as students, showcased the knowledge that we have learned from the things that our teacher taught us when it comes to learning about the collaborative tools that we can use to perform certain activites like these. Therefore, I also appreciate this activity as I got to add a sense of value and enjoyment due to the fact that I was listened to or heard in this petition.

Furthermore, I was surprised that the participation of my classmates were all recognized and Iam glad that we successfuly created a better community recognition even on our own little ways while inside the school.

Studying empowerment technologies in Senior High School taught me a lot. It provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that I needed to succeed in environments that required the use of a computer and the Internet. Ma'am Linda Lacbay, our subject teacher, deserves a big thank you for the fun and interesting lecture she provided us. I also want to share the knowledge I've gained, such as how to make a website and how to use Microsoft Word and Excel, which I believe will help me advance in my profession in the near future.

One of the biggest challenges I have throughout our online class studying is a sluggish internet connection. To be honest, I didn't keep up to several of our discussions because there is usually a gap when our teacher speaks. Another issue is the absence of a laptop or desktop computer. It also became a struggle for me because the smartphone's functions are restricted compared to those of a laptop. Some classes, such as the microsoft presentation, need the usage of a computer, and I must find another means to complete the assignment.

Because of these issues, I sometimes feel pressed, but our instructor always looks out for our best interests, and it's a wonderful thing to lighten the load of our studies. The tasks are feasible and the timeframes are realistic. I also feel pressed when it comes to assessments or quizzes because I've made mistakes in the past due to a lack of understanding of the options. Overall, I'm enjoying learning about empowering technology, and I pledge to share what I've learned with others so they may benefit as well.

REFLECT WITH YOU!

Good day, everyone! I just want to share my experience on handling my studies during this pandemic.

Afraid, confused and worried. These are the feelings I encountered during the start of this school year. I'm unfamiliar with the new way of teaching, especially the subjects that I will take. It took me a lot of courage to convince myself that I can do it.

First of all, I am afraid of our current situation (Covid-19 pandemic) which resulted in no face-to-face classes. Honestly, I'm also afraid because sometimes I can't easily process the lessons but through the help of our teachers I did it.

One of our subjects during the second semester of this school year is Empowerment Technology. From the title itself, I really thought that it would be easy for me to learn it because I'm familiar with some technology but I was wrong. This subject taught me the deeper grounds of technology. How I should manipulate an application and websites, how I should use Microsoft Excel, how to make a program certificate, use canva and etc. It is not easy to manipulate these applications and it makes me stressed because I badly want to have a creative output. Another reason why I get stressed is because of our internet connection and my laptop (outdated).

But, realizations really hit me now. EmpTech really helped me a lot this school year. I became knowledgeable of these applications. Before I couldn't use canva, I didn't even know what canva is, in doing infographics and other posters. In using excel, I learned that there is a formula that I can use which may help me lessen my work. This subject helps me to be innovative and develop my other skills. These learnings are really helpful to me for the reason that a few months from now, I will step on the new stage of achieving my dreams, a new challenge in my life.

I admit that during this school year, I have my shortcomings but I always tell myself that I can improve in the future. I was being pressured for the reason that I belonged to a group that really has dreams and are striving so hard. But other than that pressure, I absolutely feel motivated to do my best. There I have my friends and classmates which I can rely on whenever I am having a hard time. During this time, we all really need a support system for the challenges we're facing.

I also want to express my deepest gratitude to our teachers who never left our side and guided us throughout this school year. They, who remind us of our outputs and enlighten us on what we should do. I feel so happy that amidst this pandemic, I learned new things that I didn't even think I could do.

  Looking back to our very first topic and up to the last topic. I have learned and discovered a lot on this subject. I’ve learned that ICT life made are life easier and better and everyday chores are a lot more easier to accomplish than before. I have also learned that with ICT you cannot only gather information, but also we can disseminate them to others. I also fully understand that surfing on the internet does not mean you are free to do what ever is it that you wish to do on the internet. We should always be careful and think before we click. and lastly I also learned about different threats on the internet and how I am going to do if those threats happens to me. Having this subject in this school year causes great help to me and it gives me a wider knowledge about technology that are around us today and in the coming future.

  I learned a lot on this subject, I've discovered the importance of Empowerment technology. I learned what are the netiqutte to be follow. I discovered the ICT is concerned with the use of various communication system such us telephones and other  similar devices to find the edit data. Empowerment Technology is important of its ground breaking application in our everyday lives. In addition, I also learned how to set up a blog and websites. I have gained a better understanding of social media and it's many types. I'm grateful for everything I've learned in empowerment technology.

  I learned in Empowerment Technologies on how important it is to know the importance of protecting our privacy. That we must not engage to the things online that can put us in danger. Not everything in social media is real, we must not give our full trust to the people that we met online. Empowerment Technologies also taught me on how to avoid those viruses that may affect on my devices. On how important it is to be aware on scammers that we may encounter on clicking links or files. I also learned the bad effects on too much use of our social media platforms.

  Nowadays, it is really important to study different terms involving Empowerment Technologies for it gives various help that makes our daily lives much easier and better compared to what we used to have in the early years. Empowerment Technologies taught me different knowledge and skills on how to use technology in better ways. First, this subject gave me knowledge about what technology implies and what is its significance to our daily lives. It also taught me about the safety tips and netiquette that I could use in order to be a good role model in terms of using technology, and it also taught me the  different principles of graphics and layout, types of files and pictures that can be used in different ways or situations in the present or even in the future purposes. I also realized the importance of studying this subject and that is to be more knowledgeable about how technology can be very useful to us and to be more ready to use different branches or sites in technology in better and productive ways where our daily life activities or errands could be much easier.

   In this course subject, I have learned a lot. The Basic Principles of Graphics and Layout helped me to improve my skills. I applied these principles to have better photographs. And I used the principles to create aesthetic vibes on the images I captured. Also, the Internet Threats, Online Safety and Netiquette taught me to be more responsible on using internet. This topic helped me to have enough knowledge about cybercrimes and how to avoid it.

   I'm a kind of student who is interested in technology, I have a little knowledge about technology and I want to learn more. In Emptech I learned a lot. I've learn about the history of technology and how it evolves throughout the years and still evolving. I've learn about the Online Sytem, functions and platforms and the trends in ICT. The Dynamic Web Pages thought me the content of each web, The web 1.0, web 2.0 and web 3.0. It also tells me the meaning and the  different types of social media. I've learned about the different Internet Threats that need to avoid and the Online and safety netiquette that need to be follow, it will help us to learn how to explore safely on internet. As a student who loves to explore online it helps me to avoid inappropriate  actions online that can help me to be a responsible teenager whose love to explore online. In further discussions I've  learn about the Search Engines and The Different Types of search engine. I'm  a student who loves to try more things and I've try to take pictures, taking pictures became my hobby and the topic Principles of Graphic and  Layout thought me how to capture or made an amazing photo and it thought me the things that I shouldn't do to capture or made an amazing picture. In Emp Tech, this thought me the Online Formats that can be helpful to me someday. All the knowledge I've gain in EmpTech can be the knowledge that may help me to grow and learn more which can help me  in the future.

  Before the semester started, I can say that I do not have a lot of knowledge about computers and technology but I am really interested in learning. We talked about information and computer technology, and it tackles a lot about the history of technology from where it started and how it evolved throughout the years. As a teenager, I think that I know a lot about social media since it is something that I used often. And in this subject, it made me realize that there are still some things that I did not know and heard some of the applications that can help me in the future or can help me currently. Some of the applications that´s not familiar to me are reddit, plurk, tumblr, wordpress etc. This subject also taught me about graphics and layout, which is something that I'm interested in. Since I'm a photojournalist in Junior High School, I can say that some of the tips in photojournalism apply in the basic principles of graphics and layout. Even though I'm a student, I can say that I'm not that familiar with the different online formats. In empowerment technology, it taught me some online formats that I can use in the future or when downloading so that I know what I'm downloading. Therefore, I hereby conclude that I learned a lot in this class and I can use the knowledge I have now for future purposes.

  I’ve learned so much in Empowerment Technology, this subject introduce the uses of technology that we’re so blessed because technologies are present everywhere and it is our source of communication and also help us to make our work easy and quickly that is timely updated and always upgraded. I really love this subject as it is very helpful to everyone especially for students because it teach us the value and introduce to us the proper world of ICT or Information and Communication Technologies. I’ve learned about the Internet as well as the Internet Threats, the Online Safety and of course the proper Netiquette of using it and not the way where people use it in violence that could harm someone else’s precious life. I also learned about the Contextualized Online Search and Research Skills, the Online Formats for Images, Texts, Videos and Audios, and the Basic Principle of Graphics which is an important role for us to have a good opportunity because it can help us in the future. What we all do in this generation is empower technology to motivate ourselves by doing things that are valuable or beneficial to us by the use of gadgets and computers, so this subject is really helpful to know what is good for us and what is not.  My reflection about what I have learned in Empowerment Technology. At first, I thought this subject is difficult because I don't like facing applications on my computer. Then, weeks and months have passed. I have realized that this subject is not that  difficult to understand maybe because our teacher in this subject is very considerate to his students. Next, within the school days that Empowerment Technology is being taught to us it made me realized that technology is evolving from time to time. I also learned how to be wise buying things online, filling out personal information, and clicking the right links. In all, the knowledge and lessons I have gained with this subject will help me to develop my skills on technology and in life.
