Halloween night in Gotham always brings out the crazies. The light is still on at this house, one of many in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to the park. The doorbell rings in expectation. As the tradition is answered, the owner of this particular house is nearly shocked out of their skin by the costumed figures on their front stoop. Or rather, by one in particular. "Trick or treat," sniffles a young, wobbling voice. "Trick or treat," her imposing guardian echoes, a beat off. The old rote phrase takes on new meaning, spat out of that expressionless red helmet, threatening and mechanical. Red Hood is on the porch. With a teary-eyed fairy princess, clutching a half-full sack of candy in her small hands. It looks suspiciously like burlap, and it's stained in places, like it's already been used for kidnapping purposes. Best not to ask, probably. "O-oh! What wonderful--" a darting glance from the princess to the Hood, "--costumes. So creative. Not staying out too much longer, I hope? It's getting late." "Making up for lost time," Red Hood says. It answers about as many questions as it raises, but mostly it says back off and give up the goods. Nervously, "Oh, of course. Take as much as you like, dear-- we thought we'd seen our last trick-or-treaters already." The princess's eyes get big, and she looks up at Red Hood, double checking. When he nods, shrugging, as much as you want, they said, she scrambles for the candy bowl. Crisp plastic packaging crinkles by the handful as she practically cleans them out. "What do we say?" Red Hood says gruffly. "Thank you!" she says, beaming. Hood leans in close. "Warheads? Gummy lips?" The gun-toting vigilante says disdainfully. "Are you kidding me with this sh-- stuff? This is bottom shelf candy. This is the dregs from last year. We both know the average property values on this street. You can do better." "Hood!" A third, irritated voice calls from the short driveway. "Wrap it up, we're behind schedule as it is!" "We'll make time," growls the man behind the mask, not even turning to acknowledge-- Red Robin is in the driveway. The severe twist of his mouth is impatient, but softens when the fairy princess comes running towards him, near-full bag held up triumphantly and spilling at least half a dozen boxes of Dots on the grass. "Red Robin, Red Robin, look! Look, I have enough now! I wanna show Greg and Mommy, they'll never believe it--" "Good job, Jenny," Red Robin says brightly, helping her up in front of him on the seat of his motorcycle. He's got a child-sized helmet ready to go. "See? I told you we'd get your candy back. Hood!" he snaps. Red Hood points fingers at his eyes and then at the cheapskate home owner's, I'm watching you, before snatching the last butterscotch out of the bowl. "Keep your shorts on, princess, I'm coming," he complains, climbing up onto the seat behind him. It's a tight fit. "Ready to go home?" he asks Jenny. "Bad guys and trick or treating and magic spells. You've had a big night, kiddo." "Uh-huh," she says absently, seriously studying her candy stash. "Then hold on tight--" "You got her?" "What kind of question is that? Of course I've got her--" The rev of the engine drowns out the rest of their bickering, and then they're off, screaming down the street. Gone, like they were never here at all. Halloween always brings out the crazies.

It took literal months, but I finished it!!

Top left: linked universe logo

The jojo's lu logo is sooooo detailed. It is one of the things I love about Jojo's asethetic with linked universe. The detail she adds brings so much life and information about the world of Linked Universe. Great example is all the embroidery on the chain's clothing. Let's you know about civilization, that an item may be magical, etc. It is difficult to keep small details in watercolor, but I think I caught most of the main details in the painting.

Middle left: Soulful legend

This was the fourth of the images I did for the painting, and the first image I really started to get into the painting. I think legend is my favorite to paint because he makes composition so easy. The red tunic adds an easy focal point. I did learn from this that I do not like masking fluid and likely won't use it again. It added to many hard edges that I wasn't intending. Very happy with the sky!

Bottom left: Evening snack

In this image, I liked the idea that wind and sky don't know what Ramen is because their worlds don't have enough space to produce wheat. So sky and wind are super excited about this new food, while legend has no idea why they are so hyped for noodles. I also liked the idea that four found a green pepper in the ramen as a topping and is a hater (this is from a note that jojo left somewhere saying that the chain will eat anything but four in the Manga does not like green peppers, idk where this note is to link it though....). I didn't end up drawing the Ramen noodles as it was just getting too small of a scale for me to be comfortable drawing the thin lines for the noodles in.

Bottom right: Testudo

I am very hyped in the future when we see more collaborative fighting with the chain and them working together effectively. I absolutely love the scene in shifting shadows part 3 where lenged and hyrule work together with the beam and hookshot.

Middle: Legends storage

This is a reference to one of jojo's earliest works where the chain goes to legends storage for him to pick up some gear. I love that scene and I tried to put as many references as I could. The one thing I need to figure out is how I want twilight to look. I can't wrap my head around it. Need to sit down and just try out a bunch of different faces for him. My Pinterest inspo for twilight is all over the place. I want twilight to look different from time because when Malon was trying to guess who was the descendent, she did not consider twilight (she looked at wars and wind (so I typically draw time, wind, and wars looking similar). For my own personal headcannon, twilight and time are very similar in their manner (the way the walk, stand, etc) and personality (their stubbornness (as seen in sunset pt3)) but not necessarily in looks.

Middle right: Boat boys

The first image I did. I like how the water turned out, but I will not be using masking fluid for the same reasons I noted earlier. I did trace the boat (i think this is the reference [L240632 Hornet Class. J. Arthur Dixon Ltd. Beken and Son]). I do regret not doing anything creative with the boat, but I just wanted to get into painting and needed some confidence by working directly from a reference. I also forgot that legend might not be so keen to be on a boat again based on a comment jojo left in 2022 or something. I think she mentioned something in a discord event back then about legend not too willing to be on a boat again. But that doesn't really matter, I put that boy in a boat whether he likes it or not lol.

Top right: Winter storm

Second image I did for this painting. I did trace most of the horse because I do not care to learn horse anatomy (ref. [Winter Save By David Stoecklein]) Favorite part about this is the lighting on the rope from the lantern. I think it turn out well.

Top middle: Heavy armour

Third image I did for the painting and the one I realized I need to spend more time painting people in neutral or back lite lighting. But for my first time I think it is good. I really want to see what jojo does with the armour sets! I like the idea that war's armour is clean and pristine while wild's armour is rusted and beaten from the calamity. In this painting I played with adding pink to the golden armour and I liked it. In the middle picture of the collage (legends storage), you can see i added pink to time's armour.

Wwe Bad Blood 2024

Here are my main take aways.

The opening match overshadowed everything tonight. It’s called bad blood for a reason. The only championship matches were women’s matches so the main event was worthy of major rivalries. That being said Punk and McIntyre should have been main event. Roman/Cody vs bloodline lite should have been right before it.

The reason I believe my first point is that the main event was VERY lacking. I’m not saying the guys didn’t do what they needed to do but, that ending was made better ONLY by Jimmy coming back! In fact we could have ended it right there.

BUT OF COURSE NOT. THE ROCK CAME OUT AND ADDED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ANYTHING.

Bayley vs Nia was a fine match up until that ending. Tiffany should have cashed in. But I knew it wasn’t going to happen because one she never said she was cashing in. The ref assumed. And then she took too long.

Liv vs Rhea was a waste of a match. Dom being a big point of any of this was useless and stupid but that match was a waste. It started off so well and then what the fuck was the rest of it. Hell the Rock could have come out then and I’d have dealt better with it.

Also…the dialogue during the Liv vs Rhea match made me want to mute my fucking tv.

Damian vs Finn was a good match. The usual shenanigans were just kinda meh.

Did I miss anything? I feel like I’ve missed something.

OH that new belt. Why? It’s hideous. And we coulda brought back a cruiser weight belt, made a mid card womens title, hell the 24/7 belt coulda come back. Just why? You could have just NOT KEPT COMBINING BELTS.

Basically it was an up and down feeling this whole event because that hell in a cell match eclipsed everything. Amusingly this ppe just ADDED bad blood to the roster lmao.

But final thought is…The FUCK was the Rock trying to say? Or not say?

I will be posting about him way more often. The reason for this is that he will be becoming my every thing OC.

What I consider an every thing OC is an OC you can insert anywhere. fore example my friend @certifiedforklif has a charecter named Nash that is there OC for every thing. Bug will be similar in that way. So basically a self insert minus the self parts.

Now this doesn't mean il be deleting my self inserts from existence il just be using Bug going forward. (Also lite doodle me is sepret that lil fella is staying)

So here's what you need to know about bug.:

He is a very technology based character. His desighns was inspired by the Nintendo game Boy with its green pixely screen giving the impression for his visor. (And no he can't take it of it's his face) He is Abel to teleport between dimensions, (that's how he gets to other forms of midea) he can also shift thru electronic screens. Sometimes though he will glitch coursing him to teleport randomly, his face visor to turn red, and cause his voice to sound destroyed. The small cubes version you've seen on his ref sheet is his og form ore how he looks when in a more pixelated state.

He doesn't have alot of lore right now but he's developing well as a fun fella.

This is something that gets me whenever people deflect Flynn's criticism by saying Penders is much worse; people don't realize that Flynn LIKED Penders' shit

Like deadass liked it over Bollers stories, as noted in the letters he sent to Archie (issues 100 and 101)

It's noticeable in his OtherM comic too. The Chaotix brotherhood is flat out ripped from the Echidna brotherhood, romance takes a forefront later regarding Fiona and Sonic, and dingo racism is really bad

Even when officially working, most other writers' characters were almost immediately removed (Mecha Robotnik, Tommy, the Bem, etc) or defanged (Mammoth Mogul, Naugus for a fair bit, etc). But Penders' chars remained until the Genesis Wave (Scourge probably being the most obnoxious). Both had absolutely convoluted writing, only Penders didn't have sprinkled refs to distract from that, while Flynn didn't have immediately awful art to further emphasize it. Both hyper focused on Echidna mythos, regardless if it was good, and both had Lien-Da oddly accepted in the future 25yrs Later timeline, and a weird fascination of corrupt councils while not really presenting them as such. Even the idea of turning a char green cuz of the Master Emerald isn't unique, Penders had a nobody have that as well

Both those he noticeably has Knux hermitting far more on Angel Island, and treating the island itself more special than it is. IDW he revived the "Ashura based char" with Surge, initially planning to have her much earlier, along with a recycled robotiziation. It should be noted that Pender's being banned from IDW offices wasn't by him

They’d do boxing-lite, I imagine. Padding and no head shots. The fight ends when whoever is reffing says it does or one gives up. It’s for show and for fun. Of course, some of them get wayyyy to into it. (Sapnap. Sapnap, and also Sapnap)

Lmao I love Sap he’s so ballsy. Like I get he’s strong, we can all see his muscles but…pls he’s so small?? And he always wants to fighttt. I bet he starts off real strong and it goes downhill quickly against the majority of them. The onlyyy person he’d be able to get ahead with is Quackity.

Speaking of Quackity, what in the world is he going to do?? He’s so tiny and noodle-y. That boy can’t fight. The others don’t want to go to tough on him, probably just little tummy taps that really just make him giggle. The teasing possibilities for Quackity are endless too. Mickey Mouse boxing? Guys Plssss? His beanie?

Karl has the most potential out of all of them. I imagine him having a hard time holding back his giggles during all the ‘seriousness’ though. But I think he’s strong!! Luckily, he’s a sweetie. Like, he’ll meme them, but he can’t help but be a sweetieeee in the end. He’s such a cuddle bug, the second he wins he just clings to them, nuzzling their face into his opponents neck. “I’m sorry!!!”

I probably would have thought George would do better if I hadn’t already seen that video where George, Wilbur, and Jack go to the gym and he’s the only one who doesn’t take it serious for even a second. Literaly giggling and joking and jumping the whole time. This isn’t his scene and everything is so so funny. I bet it would hard for the other boys to step to him with his big goofy grin. And his boxing stance?? Remember him winding his arm up like popeye? Pfft.

I think this scenario would stress Dream outttt ahaha. He doesn’t want his boys to be hurt. Also, he’s the largest by far and knows he would just decimate the others. Picture this- Dream using his big boxing-gloved hand to hold back Sapnap’s forehead, holding him at arms length, while Sapnap just screams and swings at the air between them. I’d say most of the fights and training with Dream would just devolve into something similar.

I think if anyone would push it from boxing into a full blown tickle fight it would be him, too. Cuz he actually doesn’t want to hurt any of them even if it’s not going to be that bad. Also, how could he even resist with George or Karl? They’re both there just being so giggly and stupid. If Dream tossed his own gloves aside and then cornered them and attacked their sides and tummies…perfectly fair right?

And the aftercare aspect with Dream is so cute stahp 🥺🥺 I headcannon he’s kinda mad that they even wanted to do this, but now he wants to take care of them. His dummies. George bicep massage?? I’m dead I’m dying. “George stay still, you’ll feel better in the long run!!” *George squirming and giggling hysterically, pinned in place by mama-Dream*

And I actually always headcannon Quackity’s worse spot as his back and Karl’s worse spot as his neck/shoulders. So now I’m picturing them off to the side watching Dream tickle tor-I mean massage George and are just like :0. Maybe they look at each other. Quackity’s poor little face heats up at everything so I’m sure Dream would catch on instantly. “Don’t worry, I’ll help you guys next!”

Oh damn…yeah on the “Aiden has killed a guy” thing we definitely disagree 😅 I gotta say, the concept of turning INTO an Elder Dragon is seriously something else…and it’s so neat that you also LOTG…I was like “hey how come at the end Aiden’s a solemn and then you see him at the beginning of World and he’s like “heyyyyy”. And she’s like “probably trying to be cool”. Still love how he sees you sitting alone and is like “absolutely not :)” ah, hold on, lemme continue this in another ask 😅

honestly my main backing for saying he's had to kill someone is two things: a) i like to make my faves suffer and having to kill another person would weigh VERY heavily on aiden, b) guild knights already do that as is, so while it's definitely FAR more likely that aiden was tasked with Just going around to help protect people, it Is a possibility and i use that to my advantage to make him suffer<3 i'd say he's fine but [gently pats the top of his head] this bad boy can fit so much repressed trauma in it LMAO

aiden was, i believe, the second instance of someone getting poofed into an elder dragon by vodrem; everyone else was just normal monsters (shang was an anjanath, and ended up keeping the alt form because he looked like the anja that raised him, the admiral was a tigrex, the huntsman was an acidic glavenus, the tracker was an odogaron, the seeker was the other elder dragon, an eo garudia; i don't THINK there were others but this was over a year ago and my memory is fuzzy</3 achilles also ended up getting poofed into an elder dragon at some point after the guild arc part 2, a xeno and then safi'jiiva, after aiden got spooked back into the fatalis form and let him drain some of his energy to speed up the molting process. he also ended up keeping the safi form, albeit by choice, so now he's just kinda this fucked up Black Dragon Lite™️ safi with primarily black colouration and dark red mottling and purple energy, i actually have a drawing i did of it somewhere as a ref for my friend, he is Very Pretty😌) i chose fatalis primarily because of how heavily i associate aiden with fatty (thanks iceborne) but also since i thought itd be interesting to explore a kind and outgoing and bubbly character like him grappling with the innate violence and rage of a fatalis... yet again making him suffer LMAO. to give him credit, he's done a good job at it, mostly because he typically just ends up being an oversized skittish cat who refuses to actually use any of the fatalis capabilities (save for flying, which he does admittedly enjoy). pancaketalis<3 i'll draw him fatalis'ed eventually, once i figure out how to texture the burn scars since they wouldn't be all that visible bc of the black scales

i definitely see aiden as the kind of person who doesn't, like, really Want to Let others see any solemness or whatnot from him most of the time; he's energetic, excitable, social and outgoing, and wants to maintain that---he doesn't want people to worry over him, i think. after all, he's usually the one that's trying to cheer everyone else up and support them, which may sort of be a way to try to deal with his own issues, in a way? me too buddy me too

i also adore how he's introduced in world, i think it's part of what got me to like him so much tbh. him immediately gravitating towards the one person sitting alone that didn't appear to have anyone else but their palico around with them, because everyone should feel included and welcomed, and while everyone else is already eating and talking away the player character is just sorta There, so of course, he strikes up a conversation, because that's what he does<3 nobody gets left out or left behind

(sidenote: i love that the fatalis pre-cutscene mirrors the intro cutscene. chefs fucking kiss im so normal about that)
