what inspired the character designs in amadeus?

What a fun question! With the caveat that specific things can't be discussed without spoilers (and therefore won't be discussed), I'll try to talk about them to the best of my ability.

Amadeus:

I made the first sketches of his design so long ago I barely remember what the initial vibes were. I do remember that his long straight hair and rich boy vibes were kind of meant to be Lucius Malfoy-ish (Prisoner of Azkaban was a huge reason I initially became obsessed with werewolves, so that's where this inspiration came from. I don't want Amadeus to have anything to do with HP beyond this, for obvious reasons; but I should admit this influence).

As far as his actual clothing, Amadeus's weird shirt-coat thing is actually largely drawn from the cape I made for a DGS Sherlock Holmes cosplay. Hound of the Baskervilles is another huge inspiration for the game, and I find it way easier to draw clothes that I have made or worked with in some way, so I drew from that.

The pants for his full design are based off of pants I made for a Lloyd Irving cosplay, and the boots kind of are as well. So well, pretty much, cosplay gave me a ton of experience interpreting weird clothes into IRL fashion and making them, so now I get to do the opposite thing where I have a ton of weird clothes I've made that I can pull from when thinking about what characters might wear.

The most iconic part of his design, the arms, well... to put this in vague terms because of spoiler reasons: that was an example of the design actually being revised to fit plot details. It has resulted in a way cooler and more interesting design, but it wasn't originally there. I had to realize some plot things before I could reflect them in the design, and now the design would be unrecognizable without it.

Solea:

Solea went under drastic revision since my first version of her, because her character also underwent drastic revision and the OG design no longer felt like her. I wrote about this a little bit in a devlog, but in order to draw a hairstyle for her that I liked, I spent about 3 hours watching Black haircare videos on YouTube to get a feel for different typical styles for her hair texture and variations on those styles, and bookmarking the ones that felt like they had the right vibes. After that, I drew a mockup and sent it to a friend who has similar hair texture to Solea, and asked "does this hairstyle make sense?" and she said "yep!" so it was a go.

In terms of the rest of her design: I'm being intentionally vague here, but there are reasons she looks the way she does, and it took a lot of tweaking to get it to feel right. My favorite part is the ugly ass gardening gloves she's got on. Without those it still felt too Disney's Hercules-esque (especially the top half - her bottom half design fixes this somewhat, but you can't see it in the talksprite). But the big ugly functional gardening glove contrasting with her pretty flowing fabrics I think results in the right aesthetic for her.

The Witch:

It came to me in a dream.

OK, not really, what actually happened was I was thinking about Amadeus while lying in bed about to go to sleep, and for some reason imagined the witch who lives in his home now descending from the second floor banister looking like some abstract weird ass orange-red creature. It was one of those things where I was just like "that's weird as fuck. Kind of creepy. ...Let's do it." I remembered the head was circular with square "petals" protruding, and the bottom was kind of triangular, but since it was all made up in my head it wasn't that concrete. So when it came time to actually draw her, I drew from the stylized and very Shaped designs in Super Paper Mario, and tried to get it to feel close to the image in my head.

...It was only after coloring it that I realized it looks very, very Homestuck. This was probably a huge subconscious influence, but not for a second did I consciously consider it. If anything I think my initial daydream was inspired by an enemy from Final Fantasy VIII.

(so, in summary, I think Todoroki Shoto is the other vestige on OFA. yep, here we go again)

Deku stans, how are we feeling? finally we got to see our favorite boy and, not less important, the two mysterious vestiges (it was just one panel but still. Progress).

This time we got a more detailed appearance of the vestiges, this could be useful to the theories going around about their identifies.

Now, I'm sure we all agree that one of them is an older version of Bakugou since they both have the same hair, same body build and proportions, not to mention his equipment on his wrists that could be an upgraded version of his grenades.

But in this post I'm going to talk about the second vestige. The most popular theory is that Kirishima is the other vestige, mostly because of the hair and the equipment he's wearing.

The hair itself wasn't really similar but, again, they're presumably an older version in case they are deku's classmates and clearly when you get older you change a lot, including hairstyle. It really isn't enough proof but since the only panels we had of them were literal silhouettes, everything was possible. I even believed it myself, until today.

When I started reading the unofficial translation of the chapter, the moment I saw them, I took a good look at them. Definitely is a more detailed version of them, their hair, clothes, heights.

And that's what make me realize that the second vestige is no other than Todoroki Shoto.

Why? you may ask. Well, let's compare Kirishima with the vestige first.

The most solid proof of being Kirishima was the equipment he wears on his shoulders. But if you take a look at the new panels you can see they're not similar, not even remotely close to an upgraded version.

You can see that Kirishima has his arms far from his body in a "resting instance" since his equipment takes a lot of space between his armpits and his torso that could be seen as an 'uncomfortable position'. It also makes him look buff, if that makes sense lol, but the vestige in the panel doesn't look awkward or very buff.

There's also that mask he uses that covers the back of his head, ears and neck. The fact the he has his chest uncovered, uses black pants and boots. The vestige uses a kind of headband and doesn't use any of the last thing I mentioned. But, again, equipment changes.

There's also the sleeves, the vestige doesn't wear them but it could be an upgrade since he does have short black sleeves.

Now there's just little detail that doesn't convince me at all. The hair. From the silhouette we could see the similarities if Kirishima wore his hair in a ponytail but in the panel of chp 304...

It just looks so soft. And not just that, the type of hair and its form is really different from Kirishima's. He [the vestige] has hair that looks smooth and straight. It seems it's white or light hair.

Meanwhile, Kirishima's hair is red, that looks hard and spiky. And there's the fact that he probably wouldn't change his hairstyle precisely of the reason why he decided to have it that way in the first place. It was a change of image, a new person, new choices and was inspired from his favorite hero Crimson Riot. His characteristic red and spiky hair is something Kirishima would probably not change in a long time.

It is totally razonable since his hero name is very similar to the pro hero, it's fan boy behavior lmao. And that includes Deku since his hero costume has bunny ears resembling All Might's; and Bakugou since, you know, his recently announced hero name Great explosion murder god Dinamight (self explanatory lmfaoo)

Now, it's time to show you why I think is Shoto.

First, his hero costume. He has a belt with first aid equipment, those things over his shoulders and that things in his wrists (sorry, when it comes to describe things my english knowledge is non existent). Meanwhile, the vestige also has a similar costume (in terms of a base and color), has a belt that has pockets attached, that thing around his shoulders that are not massive, they're like mini pockets or decoration that doesn't look heavy and, finally, both have equipment on their wrists.

He has physical similarities in terms of body shape and height. He doesn't look buff but he sure looks well shaped.

And there's the hair. Shoto's hair is straight but not that straight on the ends, it is also long and smooth. But it is red and white and the vestiges is not, it seems to be white or a bright color, such as blonde or similar. However, I think it's not that crazy if Todoroki changed his hair color or something. The only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that Shoto didn't want to have Endeavor's hair color.

But, if you paid attention, they only show us the right side of the vestige. There's a possibility that his other side is still red and it's hiding it with his scar. I know the ponytail should be half red half white but who knows, maybe Shoto styles it with the purpose of hiding the red side on the ponytail.

Finally, on the other hand, we can make a guess of the vestiges heights but is not accurate because of the perspective the panel was drawn and stuff. So, Todoroki's height is 1.76 cm (5,9ft I guess?) and Kirishima's 1.70cm (5,6ft). Bakugou's height is 1.72cm (5,7ft), assuming Bakugou is one of the vestiges.

Bakugo is probably going to be tall (I mean, he arleady is), maybe grow a little above average.

Todoroki is tall and still has a lot to grow, and taking into account that Endeavor is big as f!ck, he js probably going to be taller. But if he "grew up all he could" then he's going to be like Bakugou above avererage height, or a bit taller

For Kirishima, I think he's going to be average. We don't know his parents to help but he seems to be average. I think he might get tall but not that much.

So, it seems that the mystery vestige is taller than "vestige Bakugou". Yeah, he's hunched but it looks that, even if he straightens back, he's still shorter. I can't really tell because the room looks a bit tilted. But having said that, the heights matches more with Todoroki.

There's just so many similarities, I am genuinely convinced Shoto can be the other vestige and it makes sense if we talk about their relationship with Deku and OFA.

I mean, the main reason Bakugou was so rapidly accepted as the vestige, besides the physical similarities, it was of his relationship with Deku (he has history with him, he cares for Deku's wellbeing, he's atoning and most part of the war arc he spend the whole time at his side trying to protect him from Shigaraki/AFO), and his knowledge about OFA, how he thinks of it as a curse more than a blessing based of the repercussions it had on Deku and it's past users.

And Todoroki has been impacted in a positive way by Deku. He learned that his fire is his, to be open to friendship with his classmates, one of his first friends in a long time and, with others of the class, be motivated and do his because of Deku. Not just because is him, but for his action in the past that unchained a lot of good times. And now that OFA has been mention to Shoto and other heroes present in Deku and Shigaraki's fight, he's probably going to be involved in some aspect. If that's the case, they must have turned into vestiges a lot after or maybe it happened between the time skip between the Endeavor agency arc and the war arc (who knows, maybe something happens in the third bnha movie).

Your life was rather quiet and pleasant, you like your job as a saleswoman in a big and quite famous second-hand store in the neighborhood, the vintage clothes are in good condition and the stock is renewed every day so new pieces from the 60's to the 90's make their appearance on the shelves and the hangers of the store full of clothes, Shoes, accessories... Your status as a saleswoman gives you the right to be one step ahead of the store's regulars to choose clothes you like for half the price and that alone makes your job so nice. Just yesterday you managed to find a real denim jacket from the 80's, and as everyone in this store knows: each piece is unique and when you manage to find something you like it becomes a bit of a treasure just for you because no one will find exactly the same thing in the whole store.

Today you decided to come to work with your new jacket, it's a little big for you but the oversize side is very fashionable at the moment, your work doesn't require a proper outfit and the boss himself wears very extravagant and colorful outfits, this man is adorable and full of life which makes the atmosphere at work great. So, your outfit of the day consisting of a black strapless crop top in fabric that holds your breasts does not leave much to the imagination because you are not wearing a bra underneath - necessarily a bustier. - but more and more women do not wear a bra and you're lucky that you don't have boobs that don't necessarily require a bra so you take advantage. 

But for some people it seems vulgar even though it's summer and the sun is scorching outside and yes women can wear crop tops and no bra, but with your jacket and your high waist jeans that hide your belly button make the outfit modern and vintage at the same time with your wedge ankle boots found a month ago at the bottom of a cardboard box in the store's reserve. But if this is really neccesary you can close your jacket if you feel that some men will become too... agressive in front of a bar when you come home tonight. Women life...

You feel especially pretty today thanks to your new jacket, the new clothes have the power to make you happy the first time you wear them so you walk confidently towards work while the soft air of the sunny summer morning makes a few strands of your hair twirl to the rhythm of your steps while the music in your headphones makes the street atmosphere you taking every day almost magical.

A strange feeling has been gripping your heart since you left home, it feels like some kind of strange nostalgia and you can't really understand why you suddenly feel this way for no apparent reason, maybe it's because when you left home and put your hand in the pocket of your new jacket you found a small piece of paper yellowed by the years, you immediately found it strange because normally when the clothes arrive at the store they are cleaned because most of the clothes come from people who give them to the store to resell them because they used to clutter up their parents' or grandparents' attics or garages sometimes. So finding a paper in a pocket of your jacket is surprising but not impossible.

But when you carefully unfold the little piece of paper it is the sentence written on it that stirred something in you, it's just a few words written with a black pen:

« Can't Take My Eyes off You. » It's the lyrics of an old song but you felt something strange while reading the paper, maybe it's because of your small - big - hypersensitivity and your romantic side but since reading this old paper - which was clearly meant for the former owner of the denim jacket - you feel this strange feeling. You get out of your thoughts when the music you are listening to ends and another one randomly launches from the playlist in your phone but the earphones start to sizzle in an unusual way, you sigh with annoyance because you bought them no more than two weeks ago, and having music while walking alone outside has become almost more of a necessity than a habit, Having music in your ears almost makes you feel like you're in another world when you're walking and it makes you forget your slight discomfort when you find yourself in crowded streets or a bus full of strangers invading your personal space.

Suddenly you feel a violent vertigo that forces you to stop walking and your earphones sizzle even louder so you have to quickly remove them from your ears before they pierce your eardrums or something like that.  You open your eyes gently and don't even notice that you closed them first, your head spins a little and you feel a little nauseous for a few more seconds and then the world stabilizes again and you look around you with incomprehension, you don't know at all the street you're on right now.

You look frantically from left to right hoping to find something familiar, a store, a café, a sign, anything that would help you find your way, but you find yourself in a big, completely unknown avenue that doesn't even look like an avenue that the city where you live might have. You feel your body warmth rise a notch when panic starts to creep into your mind when you realize that absolutely everything seems unknown, the cars are all old American cars, the people walking down the street all seem to be going out in old fashion stores from the 80's, even their hairstyles. 

You feel like you're in a movie.

Your brain rushes to try to rationalize the situation you're in to try to prevent you from having a panic attack in the middle of a street crowded with people looking at you weirdly, if only you had your headphones and relaxing music to make you think about something else ... But yes your phone! A wave of relief comes over you when you take your phone out of the back pocket of your jeans, just having it in your hands right now makes you want to cry with joy, you quickly retreat until your back is against the wall of a building and you are no longer in the passage of the street crowded with people who look at you as if you had a second head. You don't even look at the building you're leaning against and you quickly press the button on your phone to turn it on, but once the screen lights up he flashes frantically it's impossible to unlock it and call someone. 

« What the hell ... Please ..! » You whisper in a trembling voice as you feel your breath accelerating, the stupid phone has absolutely no mercy for you even though you desperately try to make it work properly by turning it on and off, You have a glimmer of hope when the image on your wallpaper - an adorable picture of Mando with his green baby from The Mandalorian series - stabilizes enough for you to unlock it and access your contacts, you were going to text your position to your colleague and friend Daisy to beg her to come and pick you up in car but suddenly the screen goes completely off and you can't turn it back on.

« No no no no no no no… » You swear that you can feel your heart stop beating for a few moments because of the black screen of your only hope in this nightmare. Yes nightmare, you must certainly be in full dream and you will wake up nice and warm in your bed and Roucky your long-haired red cat will come and purr in your ear for you to wake up and give him food and then ...  You are startled when you hear someone clearing their throat insistently right in front of you, it must have been a little while that person has been trying to get your attention and you hadn't even noticed their presence. You raise your head gently with a little smile on your lips to try to hide your internal panic, a salesperson reflex when you are lost in your thoughts while a customer wanted to attract your attention. But your smile fades when you finally see the person right in front of you with his arms crossed over a large chest dressed in a three-piece sky-blue suit, a smirk on his lips and an eyebrow raised in a questioning manner. Maxwell Lord.

Maxwell Lord?!

What the fuck ?! 

He is literally a fictional character who is played by your favorite actor Pedro Pascal, and he is there in front of you and his deep brown eyes are staring at you with a kind of fun and curiosity not hidden, you it looks strongly like a dream but everything seems far too realistic in a same time, you can smell his masculine perfume and certainly the smell of his aftershave if he was even closer, you hear the noise of the passers-by behind him. Yeah It's really much too realistic. 

Instinctively you look down on the hand that is not holding your phone to observe the palm of your hand and your fingers, usually when you have a doubt in a dream about the reality of the situation you are in and if you are in a dream your hand will be anything but normal, a finger in addition or something else and after that you know that you are in a dream what leads you to make a lucid dream and thus to be able to control more or less the continuation of your dream, it is besides often amusing but there your hand is completely normal even if you fix it for a long time.

You quickly raise your head and open your eyes, and Pedr-Maxwell still looks at you, but this time his hands are in his pants pockets.

You're aware your voice shakes at times when you tell your half lie to the beautiful man in front of you, you almost fainted when you... landed here. But you weren't going to tell him that you were technically from the future, were you? But this world doesn't really exist because it's from a movie but... Yeah...?

   You probably had to convince him with your lost and panicked look and his brown eyes seem to soften slightly he looks at you from top to bottom - maybe lingering too much on your black top - then he looks on your phone that you still hold in your right hand, he looks at it curiously but he doesn't say anything and then his eyes go back to your face, it's really weird to see her in front of you after the fanfictions you read about him when you haven't even seen the movie Wonder Woman 1984, in fact the whole situation is weird, you always laughed and said to yourself that if you were in the world of one of the characters you love and you met him you might try to be enterprising and enjoy the moment but right now you're just completely lost and scared.

My assistant was going to get me a coffee, » He takes his left hand out of his pocket and makes a lazy wave with his hand, the gold rings on his fingers shine with the sun's rays, barely he make his gesture a beautiful blonde woman with curves worthy of the muse of an expensive lingerie brand appear next to him.

« Yes Mr. Lord? »

 « Usual coffee and something with sugar. »

Her assistant seems slightly irritated when she looks in your direction but she picks herself up when she looks at her boss again.

« What kind of sweet thing Mr. Lord? »

Her tone leaves a kind of innuendo, and you can imagine that as in some fanfictions you read Maxwell must fuck his assistants out of ease, and this beautiful woman with perfect breasts must surely be one of them, Maxwell doesn't pick up the innuendo and doesn't even look at her.

« You bring it back to my office in 5 minutes. »

She stutters a little: "Yes Mr. Lord" while throwing you a murderous look as if it was your fault that her boss was like that, but you are not irritated or hurt by the look of this assistant you are just still in the fog, maybe you really have something sweet finally to clear your mind a bit.

You feel knuckles brushing against your cheek, Maxwell freezes when you look up at his face and his eyes darken for a split second and then he clears his throat and quickly removes the hand that just brushed against your face.

« Follow me, I wouldn't want a young woman to pass out in front of the Lord Industry building. »

You hadn't even paid attention to the building right behind you in your panic to try to get out of this situation but now you've drawn Maxwell Lord's attention and you don't know if it's a good thing in the supernatural situation you're in.

The ride to the heart of New York City never bored you. You like to see the colorful lights, despite the busy traffic. "Relax, Malyshka, the concert we’re watching tonight isn't like the last one."

"Oh, you better choose a decent one, Sestra. I still love my auditory apparatus."

Natasha snorted at your response. "That was one time. You need to go out from your cave often Stark."

Natasha can help but chuckle when seeing your lips curve, pouting at her. "It's not my fault that I found your taste of music horrendous."

"That's what happens if you lock yourself in your room for too long. Ok, we arrived malyshka, come on, move your ass."

"Tasha, language!"

The car stops in front of a building that color look between yellow and cream. There are two prominent windows in an almost octagon shape decorating the wall. In the center there’s a long half-round window that ornates with asymmetrical crisscross metals, giving it an oldish look.

"What time do you need me to pick you up Ms. Stark and Ms. Romanoff?"

"Don't worry we can use an Uber, Happy. Natasha is here, so father won't mind."

"OK ladies, have fun on your Saturday night! Don't drink too much."

"Aye aye, Happy! Now let's get inside."

Natasha pulls you to the entrance. A tall man, with a white button up and a khaki pants is waiting outside. His light brown eyes and brown hair shine under the building lights. He gives you the pass for backstage entry. Both you and Natasha thank him and follow him inside.

"The others are getting ready right now so I suggest you and your friend wait till the show ends?”

"Don't worry Matt, we are here basically just to enjoy the show." You can help but rolling your eyes at Natasha’s bubble gum intonation. "I am just here for some moral support."

"Malyshka, behave."

Matt chuckles at the light-hearted banter. "You’ve brought someone interesting tonight Nat."

"Thank you, I’m flattered,” you smirk, and Matt is taken aback when you bow a bit at him.

"You are definitely fascinating," Matt says, blatantly smirking at you. "Have fun and enjoy the show! Meet you two at the after party." He suddenly disappears through the crowd, you assume he was probably the PR or the manager.

With Matt disappearing to the opposite side, Natasha leads you to the second floor. The view from this level quite giving you the full image of the interior. The building itself was quite spacious with a tall stage situated on the center at the far end, across the long half round window. Some instruments like drums and keyboard were already on stage. Black velvet fabric with a gold accent was draped on each side of the stage with a wide white glossy screen behind it. One by one, a group of people, women and men, ventured into the building, crowding the empty space in front of the stage. A group of young girls, probably in their late teens were chatting loudly nearby, gushing about how all the members in the group are super handsome and talented.

Not long after the building was full, the black and gold backdrops starting to descend, covering the front part of the stage. The loud cheers from the people downstairs start to echo, which follows by the crowd upstairs. You tap your heels enthusiastically, excited to see these musicians that occupied Natasha’s playlist all the time.

Natasha’s constant excitement and how she is always too engrossed when talking about the band had raised your suspicion that she might hook up with one of the members.

All the lights suddenly turn off, the disparate hue of the stage light illuminated the building.

"We are The Howling!" a tall broad man with a blonde hair and blue eyes were suddenly jump to the stage, yelling their band name. A loud 'yeah' was an echo in the building. The cyclorama with red, green and blue that mixed with several spotlights giving an unbelievable eye-catching look of the stage in general. It also brings the focus to all the members on stage, who are getting ready in their respective position while strumming their instruments.

"Are you ready to Howl?!”

You can't help but snort at that one.

"YEAH!!!" The crowd shamelessly scream as the vocalist warm up the concert.

With "One...two...one...two...three go!" The guitarist starts a simple rhythm of their first song. The drums and the bass begin to kick in while the keyboardist puts his hands up in a 'jump in' motion, waiting his turn. The music was loud but surprisingly not unpleasant. Most of the time, you have problems with Natasha’s taste in music but this seems to be one you can certainly tolerate.

The floodlights shower through the audience but it was suddenly off and the lighting mode switched to profile on one of the members at the right of the stage. The unmistakable bassist wearing a black shirt that had to be a couple of sizes too small for him with washed denim jeans. Brown hair styled in a lower bun with several whips of hair loose around his face. The thing that drew your attention to him most, was the hue of his 5-string electric bass.

The solo moment wasn't that long if you recall correctly. The bassist shamelessly shows off his ability with all his fingers between the frets. Digits dance between the strings, up and down the neck. His plucking produces a great and clean sound. He might be a little bit giddy when transposing the riff base, but in a whole it was excellent. His steady fingers and endurance might be the result of good exercise, either with his hands or other parts.

You have been captivated by the short funky flow of his solo and you can't help but wonder the rest of the band's song. Rock music wasn't so bad, in fact, you love alternative, but you never let Natasha know that.

The band 'Howling' play a total of 10 songs, with one new song that they introduced as the last track. The song will be their newest single that will be released next week when their North American tour starts kicking. Following the end of the show, all the band members thank the crowd for attending their limited gig.

"For The Howling, cheers!" The blonde vocalist and the rest of the members were celebrating with beers. Bottles clinking and cheering didn't stop within them. After the end of the show, Matt texted to invite you and Natasha to go backstage. "We are having a private after party in the bar just a block from here." which now is exactly where you and Natasha are, nursing a bottle of beer, although Natasha prefers something stronger.

Another blonde man with spiky hairstyle was getting closer to where you and Nat sat. "Nat. Sorry, we’re kind of full of ourselves." He chuckles at that, while Natasha displays that adorable pout of hers. 'Oh, he is the one that Natasha has been seeing' you realize.

"Malyshka, this is Clint Barton, Clint this is my precious baby sister." You can help but express disbelief at Natasha endearment. By far, Natasha just 2 years older than you but sometimes she acts like you are a 5-year-old kid, she likes to baby you.

"Hi Clint, nice to meet you." You shake Clint's hand and introduced yourself to him.

"I am the guitarist, but I bet you’ve seen that already."  

You nodded at that, "speaking of which, you played a great melody on the show."

Clint beam at the comment. "Nah, I still need to improve my skills,” he said, "let me introduce you to the others."

Clint dragged you to the center of the bar and taps the other blonde on the group. "So this is Steve, our vocalist." a massive man with blue eyes and blonde hair, that you recognize from the stage, smiles warmly at you.

"Hi, I’m Steve Rogers, but everyone just calls me Steve." He gives you a firm shake and hugs you with his right arm.

"I hope you enjoyed our show."

"I did." You reply to him while introducing yourself. "Although, it seemed like you hadn't warmed up your voice when you started the show." some blushed crept up on Steve cheeks and neck. You cursed yourself a bit, way to be friendly to someone you just met.

"Yeah." Steve rubbed the back of his neck. "Tonight was our first jam after a year. I might sound a little rusty but thank you for your concern."

"You need to stick up with your routine, we don't want anything to happen to our captain." Clint chimed in.

"Captain?" left eyebrow arched at him.

"He is the leader of the band," Clint added, still sipping his beer.

"I know it sounds silly. They used that to mock me" Steve added and chuckle at that. "Don't mind Clint. Here, meet Sam Wilson."

A tall man with a dark skin approaches you. He has this goofy smile on him and you can't help smiling at him back.

"And Scott," another man with a black hair and a silly smile approaching you. He was the keyboardist on the band. "I guess Bucky was in the restroom, he was here before."

"It's ok, Steve. I can catch up with him later"

"If he acts like douche, just tell me, I will knock his head off," Sam says, bad-mouthing this Bucky.

"Don't worry Sam,” you chuckled, “I am a good fighter."

You actually have a really great conversation with Sam and Scott. Scott tells you that he has a young daughter name Cassie and he would love to learn how to braid her hair like yours.

"Oh, there he is. Buck!" Steve yells at Bucky, he looks like he just comes out of the back bar.

"Nat brought her friend with her." Steve introduced you to him. Bucky was more than 6 feet tall, as broad and big as Steve although he was the very opposite of him. If Steve was smile and sunshine, Bucky is quiet and has that melancholic broody look on him, like the moon on a cold night.

"Hello." You introduce yourself and shake his hand. He has big calloused hands, rough from the guitar strings, and long fingers that swallow your own.

Gone was the quiet melancholic look on him when he saw you gushing about how well he played on stage.

“I think from all the music tonight, the last track was without a doubt, the best.”

Bucky just smiles, wide, tongue licking his upper lips after he drinks the beer while looking at you.

“Tasha!” Bucky was yelling at Natasha who is in conversation with Clint and Sam. Natasha arched her eyebrow at Bucky, a question written on her face.

“You bring a nice catch tonight.” You’re confused as to why Bucky suddenly speaks Russian to Natasha.

“I told you I don’t need a new girl, but thanks anyway, looks like I am going to have a fun night with her.”

You are stunned, angry of the thing he accused you to be,

You slap Bucky hard on the face.

"How very well dare you!" Face reddened because everyone eyes were focused on both you and Bucky now.

"Let me get this straight. You" fingers jab at his chest.

"are" jab

"nothing more" more jab

"than a douche wagon." final jab.

"And I am not, in the slightest, interested in being bedded by you." if the eye can curse someone to stone, that’s probably what would happen to Bucky right now.

He looks at you with wide eyes, horrified. Never in the slightest, he ever thinks that you understand Russian.

“Thank you for the beer.” You take your pursed and stomp out from the Bar. You regret ever coming to a gig, yet again.

"Malyshka, wait!"

"Way to ruin the mood, Barnes." Natasha huffed and strolls off from the party to follow you after giving Bucky the stinky eyes.

What do you see in him? (Tyrus Week 2018 Day 5: AU)

"What makes him so special?" It's not something Cyrus expected to hear when he opened the door of his apartment at 2:30 in the morning, with the exaggerated fatigue of having worked a whole week in the cafeteria.

"What?" His voice sounds a lot rougher than usual, he feels exhausted and if he was a little less tired, he might worry about opening the door in his underwear.

"I asked you what makes him so special" TJ doesn't even hesitate but his voice sounds funny, it looks like he can barely stand up and Cyrus definitely recognizes the smell of cheap vodka impregnated to the man's body in front of him. "What do you see in him?"

"Are you drunk?" He decides to ignore the question, after all, he doesn't even know what TJ is talking about.

"No!" He says with a scream and then he laughs. "Ok, maybe a little bit" Cyrus shook his head, perhaps it would be better to continue this conversation or whatever they were doing inside the small department; He doesn't want his neighbors to start complaining about the noise. He guides TJ with his hands to the one and only horrible red couch that Jonah bought the day they decided to move to live together. As much as Cyrus tried to get rid of that stupid piece of furniture, he couldn’t make it. Maybe he should start by telling Jonah that he actually hates that couch with all his soul.

In the moment both of them took a seat, it seems that silence will be the only conversation between them, Cyrus tries to think of something he can say, he thinks about a lot of things he could ask, but decides to observe TJ, maybe if he wants to vomit, Cyrus can force him to do it on the couch and they will have to get rid of it... Now that he's observing well, under the light of the department, TJ seems a lot more drunk than his voice sounds. And even more handsome.

"Still no answer" TJ approaches a little more than usual and Cyrus tries to control the sensations that begin to appear in him.

"I may not have answered because I have no idea what you're talking about" He let a little smile seize his lips and without thinking, he gets a little closer to TJ and puts a hand on his knee. Before he can make any important questions, he remembers that he’s only wearing his favorite black boxers. "How much did you drink?" It's the question he finally decide to make.

"Too much" replies TJ, dropping his head on the back of the couch. Cyrus does not think that TJ looks great like that, even much more handsome than the days they work together in the cafeteria in the morning, with his hair well-groomed and still wet. Or at night, when his perfect hairstyle has disappeared and he has tousled hair left. Or when they walk together out of work and out of nowhere, TJ decides to sing a song they both love. "Don't look at me like that. What did you expect me to do? It was a party."

"I know it was a party. I was at that party, remember? " Of course TJ remembers it. That was the main reason why he ended up drinking so much. They were in a bar, along with their co-workers, celebrating the birthday of one of them. It was a small tradition of the cafeteria, going to the bar of the owner's brother. And TJ remembers very well that he thought it’ll be the perfect night for the two of them They would eat something tasty, drink a little of wine and when they were returning home walking, TJ would finally tell Cyrus everything he had been feeling for the last two years, since they met.

But Jonah happened. After eating, Cyrus got a call and left without even saying goodbye properly, just babbling something about Jonah, who needed him. And TJ's mind went to a place that had been forbidden to visit since the day he learned that the boy of his dreams shared apartment with another guy way too handsome. Images appeared in his mind without his asking. Cyrus and Jonah having a happy life, hugging, chatting about things that are not important, kissing, watching a movie with a smile on his face, sharing the bed, having... TJ needed to erase those images, especially the last one. And if the only option he had to do it was to drown in alcohol, of course he would.

"You left too soon." His tone sounds a lot more hurt than he would like, but right now he can't even control his body well, much less his emotions.

"Jonah called me."

"I know." TJ senses there's something Cyrus doesn't dare say.

"How did you even get here? Your building is on the next block." And something  that Cyrus didn't expect happens. TJ laughs, strong, so much, that he seems to be about to cry.

"Our boss asked me for a taxi and when the driver asked me where I wanted to go I couldn't remember my address" everything said between less intense laughter.

"But did you remember my address?"

"And the floor and the apartment number" He kept laughing. "Pathetic, isn't it?" TJ stops laughing, he knows that his face is now ruled by sadness, so he decides to close his eyes, he can't look now at the disappointment in the eyes of the man he has a crush on. Maybe he should go back to his apartment and hope that tomorrow morning Cyrus can forgive him or even pretend that this didn't even happen at all. But there's something he needs to know, he cannot leave without having obtained an answer. "You still don't answer."

"And I still don't know what you're talking about" Although Cyrus was trying to sound angry, fatigue is much more obvious in his voice and just thinking that within a few hours he will start his next work shift makes him feel worse.

"Is he here?"

"Who?"

"Jonah Beck" TJ does not know very well why he had the need to say his full name or why he let the accumulated rage seize those two simple words.

"He's not here. He went out with Andi"

"Then what makes him so special? What do you see in him?"

"What?" The suspicions that Cyrus wanted to ignore the whole conversation was there, becoming real, but it seems that TJ is not even able to hear that little question.

"Why did you prefer to disappear from the party than to have a little more fun with me?" Without realizing it, TJ was already standing, moving around, screaming, about to cry. "Damn it! Why do you prefer to live with him? " When he heard the second question, Cyrus decided to get off the couch too. "Why do you love him?" Perhaps, that was the loudest scream of the night. "Why do you love him and not me?" TJ knew that alcohol was the reason for those exaggerated emotions, but the tears were already there and the screaming made Cyrus put a fright face.

"TJ, I don't..." Cyrus didn't know where to start or how to answer. How do you react when the man you've liked for two years comes to your door, drunk and claim you don't love him but your best friend? Cyrus needed to start talking, fast, of all those important things he had not dared to do, but before he could say anything else, TJ dropped into the couch, asleep.

An hour later, probably.

"Seriously, Andi, I'm fine. I'm almost at the apartment." Says Jonah as he talks on the phone, with a smile on his face, but he can feel his eyes burning with fatigue and his legs are not in the best condition, not after dancing so much and having to climb the damn stairs of the building. He feels dizzy from the little booze he drank, but nothing to actually worry about. "I think Cyrus is still awake, the light in the apartment is still on..." And that's when he opens the door.

Cyrus is the kind of roommate who could be doing any sort of thing in the early morning. Maybe he could be watching cartoons on TV because of insomnia, or maybe he decided to stay awake to keep reading that book he found on the Internet, maybe playing some video game or even talking to Buffy and Andi. But, in most days, at 3:34 am, Cyrus would be asleep, not in underwear, sitting on the floor, watching the boy he likes sleeping.

"Andi, I’ll call you later" He didn't even let his girlfriend have a chance to answer him, but he knew perfectly well that the scene in front of him would be very difficult to describe, even worse, to explain.

"What the hell did you do?" Jonah tries to stay calm, closes the door with some strength and squats beside his friend, putting one of his hands on his shoulder.

"I didn’t do anything" He answers, in a voice too high. "What do you imagine I did?"

"I don't know" Jonah shrugs. "But you must admit that it's not a normal thing that's happening. Maybe you kidnapped TJ. "

“Do you actually think I’m capable of doing something like that?" Cyrus feels really offended. "No, no, do you actually think I have enough strength to kidnap someone?"

"You could have paid someone"

"Jonah, we're broke" Jonah smiles and decides to actually sit next to his friend and look at TJ sleep and snore too hard.

"Then, if you didn't kidnap him, how did he got here?" Cyrus explains to him as much as possible and before he can debate mentally if he should tell Jonah the important confession TJ made, he's already telling.

"He thinks we are boyfriends," says Jonah, with a stupid grin on his face.

"But we are not."

"What, I’m not good enough for you?"

"Jonah, could you focus?"

"I'm sorry." But Jonah doesn't stop smiling. "What are you going to do?"

"I thought it would be a good idea to take him to my bed" by the look that Jonah gives him and the blush that appears violently on his face and begins to travel his body he knows that it sounded in a very different way than he expected to sound. "We can't leave him on that horrible couch!"

"Hey! That Couch is not horrible" Cyrus laughs, he did not expect that the first time he would dare to tell Jonah what he really thought of that piece of furniture, it would be the same day he would take TJ to his bed, not the way he hoped, unfortunately.

"But we both know it's too uncomfortable to sleep."  Jonah cannot deny it. "And I figured you wouldn't like the idea of him sleeping in your bed."

"All right let's get him to your room."

In the morning.

TJ was not used to waking up in the bed of people he did not know, but as the sunlight hit his face, even with his eyes closed, he could recognize the smell of that room without making a mistake. He felt that his head was about to burst and hoped that the memories of the previous night would begin to appear one by one.

"Good morning." He opens his eyes violently; Cyrus's room is exactly as he remembered it since the last time he visited. Cyrus was sitting on the floor, in front of him, with a little smile.

"Hi, Cyrus" He dares to say, even, the sound of his own voice makes his head hurt more and feels an intense burning in the throat. He shouldn't have had so much to drink last night. He pass one of his hands through his tousled hair.

"How do you feel?" Cyrus yells, with a bigger smile, he seems to be enjoying this way too much.

"I've Been Better"

"I know it. You look so bad." And before Cyrus can say anything else or dares to say something, the memories of the previous night hit him like lightning. Everything is now in his memory and he would rather escape as soon as possible. But it looks like Cyrus won't let him run away that easily. "Do you remember anything that happened last night?" Cyrus stands up and sits on the edge of the bed, still looking at him for a single second.

"Cyrus, I..."

"Yes or No."

"I remember everything."

"Well" Cyrus decides to settle on the other side of the bed. "Because I think I still don't answer a few questions you asked me last night."

"Cyrus, I'm really sorry for everything that happened and I hope you can forgive me..."

"TJ, I need you to keep quiet." TJ obeys, perhaps because a part of him still hopes that this will go well or perhaps because he felt that his head would explode more forcefully after every word that came out of his mouth. "First, I decided to leave the party because Jonah forgot his keys inside the apartment. I thought about coming back, but I remembered that today we work in the morning "

"Work!" TJ lit the screen of his cell phone that was in the bureau, it was 2:27 pm

"Don't worry, I talked to George and explained the situation to him." George, their boss, was very understanding when Cyrus explained the situation, eliminating details that him should not know. "Anyway, I thought I'd better stay and sleep. But that's when you came in. "

"Cyrus, I'm really sorry..."

"Second, I don't prefer to live with him than to live with you." TJ felt ashamed, he did not remember asking that question. "But we've been living together for three years and I met you two years ago" Cyrus smiles at him. "Third, I love Jonah because he's my best friend. What I see in him is that he is one of the most interesting and creative people I have ever met and what makes him so special is that he was one of the first person to accept me when I came out of the closet when we were young."

"Cyrus you didn’t have to tell me..."

"And" Cyrus got a little closer to TJ. "I can't say what I feel for you is love LOVE, but I know it's nothing like what I feel for Jonah." They're so close they could kiss. and Cyrus make it happen.

TJ smiles. That was all he needed to know.

Doki-doki Literature Club-Project Libitina theory

Okay. I’ve been playing DDLC non-stop these days and I just can’t get enough of the characters, especially my personal favorite. Since I’ve got some time to spare, I feel like talking about what I think about her, as well as theories and speculations concerning her. I will also be talking about the other girls a little bit afterwards. Let me just say there will be A LOT OF SPOILERS from the game and easter eggs in it. You may need to take some notes to whatever assumptions/theories I made in this post because this will be long and complicated.

Naturally, I’ll start with my favorite. Yuri. We start of with her being the shy, timid and sweet bookworm. Just like what MC said, she seemed like a person that could hardly keep up with Sayori and Natsuki, which is exactly how I would feel if I had to deal with such an energetic and robust personality. Regardless, I find that it’s a bit odd that it was Yuri who greets us first when we come into the club, and not Monika, the President.

It felt like we were supposed to meet her first to establish her character as much as possible because personally, I think Yuri has the most drastic change after her programming gets tampered by dear Monika. I mean, as I said from the beginning, she started as a quiet and innocent girl and then she turned into an uncontrollable laughing masochist. I have seen many people saying that Yuri has been attracted to knives for pleasure reasons from the beginning and that her mind has been twisted from the start. Meanwhile, I don’t see it this way. Bear in mind that I do not deny that I DO think she is fascinated with knives for some time already. Based on my research on people who does self-harming, there are 6 reasons why they do so. And I think of 3 possible reasons why Yuri harms herself. One, to regain control; to shift attention. Two, to self-punish. Three, to experience euphoria. But each of these reasons occur in different occasions.

For this point, I’ll be talking about the possibilities she harms herself for reason #1 and reason #2. Remember, she was bullied because of her mannerisms when she gets excited (maybe concerning her knife fascination), and this contributes to her self-harming. I think that she feels like she is revolting, even sickening and as such she punishes herself with those knives, and believes that those scars are meant for her and she deserves them. She did say that “[She] started hating those things about [herself]”. Eventually she finds comfort from the knives as the pain makes her forget or control her urges from getting overexcited. It is hinted that Yuri doesn’t have any friends, because she mentions that she eats lunch by herself and jokes that her boyfriend is fictional. As such, she comes to believe that the knives are her ‘friends’ since they are the only things, aside from books, that give her comfort and company. And this is why she treasures her knife collections so much and made sure that they are not ‘lonely’. Note how she talks as if they were people. This girl is craving for human interaction! But sadly, the interaction she had previously were insults and dismissal. Let’s also not forget that Yuri has a low self-esteem, and is often second guessing herself. I also like to think that she punishes herself as she falls for MC because she feels like she doesn’t deserve him. When we are about to catch her red-handed, the MC describes the sound she makes are as if she was in pain. I think before her personality worsens into being possessive and crazy, her main reasons to hurt herself are these. But as she starts to fall for him more and more, reason #3 comes in, and Monika worsens it even further.

Now, on to reason #3; to experience euphoria. Human beings have different ways to experience ecstasy, even weird ways. Sexual pleasure often comes soon after one is infatuated with another, especially by teenagers whose hormones are acting like wildfire. And cutting herself is one of her ways to find pleasure, aside from… other things that she does like touching herself with MC’s pen... Then this would give us an idea that Yuri could be a masochist. After she confesses to MC, I think there are explained reasons why she kills herself, for both ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ response from us. If we choose ‘Yes’, she wants to feel happier and more excited and this brings us back to reason #3 but this this time her pleasure is way over line and instead of cutting herself she goes to stabbing herself because she can’t contain herself anymore. If we choose ‘No’, I think she is trying to protect us from herself. Maybe she’s feeling a psychotic side of her is trying to kill us for rejecting her, so she stabs herself to save us. Either way, Yuri’s end is already written the moment Monika messes with her programming.

I have another thought that Monika may feel threatened by Yuri the most. Considering how drastic she changed Yuri’s programming, it seems like this is possible. I noticed that right at the beginning when MC just gets into the club, Monika openly states that Yuri is trying to impress him. Now this may be just some slight teasing, but I can’t help but feel that this is one of Monika’s schemes to make Yuri seem undesirable, since some players do not really prefer shy girls like Yuri. I may be overthinking this, but what do you think?

Now onto the bigger part of this post. In Monika’s character file, she mentions that DDLC isn’t her only story, which means it’s not the only game she’s in and the same goes for the other characters.

“But I know that this isn't my only story. I can see that now. Really clearly. And I think everyone else has had the same kind of experience. Some kind of deja vu.”

What if one of the other games that they featured in together is Project Libitina? In this game, they have a different name.

So, in Project Libitina, if we assume it’s a different game (that sets before DDLC), there are 3 characters mentioned; Libitina, Elyssa and Reiner. People mostly only take note of these three, but we’re forgetting about the person who mentions Elyssa and Reiner. So I’m saying we should be considering the fourth character from Project Libitina, and the last person would be unknown (I like to call this person the Reporter). Now, we need to figure out who Libitina and Elyssa are first. Many people have theorized that Libitina is either Yuri or Monika.

What piqued my interest the most about Yuri is the possibility she could be Libitina! I learned about this theory from the YouTube channel Game Theory (yes I am a constant viewer of this series). Although I usually watch the channel just for fun, but this time it’s different. For some reason the idea that Yuri might be the girl with supernatural (psychic) abilities just hypes me up so much! This may be because if she is Libitina she’ll have much more spotlight towards her and we can perhaps learn more about her backstory. All the girls in DDLC have vague backstories but Yuri and Monika have the most mysterious one as Sayori and Natsuki are established to at least have a family, regardless happy or not. Is it possible that Yuri’s love for knives comes from an abusive environment, or an even more sinister situation? If so, this links back to Game Theory about Yuri possibly coming from an experiment, and that her lust for danger and harm are derived from it. Remember the image of the white-haired woman from Natsuki’s character file? Although MatPat said the woman doesn’t bear resemblance with any of the characters, I couldn’t help but notice some similarities between that woman and Yuri.

Sure, the woman looks older and might be in her twenties or even older. But notice that she looks quite thin, as if she’s malnourished. This makes me think what if the image of this woman is an older Yuri? If you look closely, their hair is almost similar to each other, with parts of their hair shaping up around their faces near the cheeks, and they have a huge strand of bangs in the middle of their forehead. They also have two strands of hair that flow to their chest. Speaking of which, it seems like both women have the same chest size. Sure, there are a bit of differences that the lady clearly has thicker volume of hair and her bang is facing the opposite side, but we can assume that years of abuse and experimentation may alter her appearance a bit. What’s more is that NONE of the other girls have this kind of hairstyle! Another thing that suggests that Yuri is Libitina is supported through Yuri’s character file. After decoding it, we know it’s a story about ‘Maria’ who is curious about killing. She shows aspects of being a careful stalker and eventually kills someone named Linda. Maria’s thirst for the idea of killing is somewhat related to Yuri since her self-harming behaviour may be coming from her thirst for blood. It’s a long shot, but who else in DDLC is related to blood expect Yuri?

Monika is, actually. In Special Poem 4, the writer cuts herself for the first time and finds it exhilarating and now understands Yuri’s pleasure. She describes herself as the ‘responsible one’ and this quickly makes me believe that this is Monika.

Reading further to one of Yuri’s poems (the one covered in blood) Yuri feels disgusted for thinking of images of killing someone. This makes me think what if these images are images of ‘Maria’ killing Linda? The reason why Yuri sees this is because Monika puts in those images from her character file into her mind as she manipulates Yuri’s programming. By putting these images, it deteriorates Yuri’s mental state. Which makes sense when in that poem Yuri says, “Her Third Eye is drawing [Yuri] closer” (Yuri, mdpnfbo,jrfp) where “her” is referring to Monika. I also got this idea when in the game, she mentions that “recently, [she]’s been feeling something sharp whenever [Monika]’s around”. If Yuri feels disgusted with these uncontrollable thoughts and images, it adds more reason why she harms herself. Either way, Monika knows this would make her less desirable to us.

Whoop. Hold up a minute. Project Libitina supposedly happened before DDLC since the subject test Libitina’s age is reported to be 3 years old which means that the white-haired lady shouldn’t be any of the girls if the image IS Libitina. Unless the image is an image from an incoming future, after the events of DDLC, should Yuri have survived! WHAAAAAAAT!?

Okay, as much as I love the idea of Yuri being the next potential main character or villain, I’d like to expand the idea of Monika/Libitina more. From the Project Libitina report, we know the test subject (Libitina) has the ‘Third Eye’ ability. And this ability seems to be related to the “trait that turns them into killing machines for blood” (Portrait of Markov, Act 2). Okay, as of now, we don’t know if this means that the people who have the ‘Third Eye’ just have the impulse to kill people for blood, or that they have the ability to manipulate others to kill. They are simply called ‘killing machines’ in the book but that doesn’t imply that they’re the ones who do the killing directly. If the ‘Third Eye’ really is a psychic ability to manipulate others to kill, that does open Monika’s candidacy as Libitina since she is able to manipulate the other girls’ programming. But let’s not forget Sayori as well. I think after Monika is deleted and then Sayori becomes self-aware, I do think she has gained the ‘Third Eye’ ability, but she hasn’t mastered or maybe not fully aware of her newfound ability. In Act 4, it seems like Sayori is developing an almost obsessive personality. I think if Monika doesn’t stop Sayori, she’d end up controlling or manipulating the game instead. Because of this, I believe Sayori is a potential Libitina candidate.

But I also like to think the possibility that both Yuri and Monika are Libitina, who is split into two separate entities. I mean, they are not that different since they are the ones who would go for drastic measures to force us to be with them, Yuri being pushing Natsuki and Monika away, and Monika being deleting other characters. They also show their own obsessive and possessive behaviour to us. They are both Yandere in their own creepy way. Not to mention they are the only ones with long hair.

Next, on to Elyssa. Now, we don’t know who she is, nor do we know anything about her. She is only mentioned once in Special Poem 3, where her symptoms are compared to someone else’s symptoms (I think she is compared to Libitina). And that her condition seems very serious. And that Reiner is seen as someone who is behind everything, and he is assumed to be torturing or abusing Elyssa. Now, who in DDLC is abused by a paternal figure? Natsuki. So far, there is no further resemblance between Elyssa and Natsuki aside from the fact that they are both apparently abused by a man. But other than this, Elyssa has no similarities with the rest of the girls. Not to mention that the Reporter does mention “this family” in their report. And in DDLC we know that Natsuki is the only one who mentions her family member: her father. So from this, we can assume that Elyssa is Natsuki and Reiner is her father. But in this game, Reiner is a scientist who works on Elyssa, another test subject. But here’s a catch. In one of her poems, the one that needs to be decoded, is a description of the writer killing someone, and there is a voice telling her to stop “this uncontrollable pleasure”. If Natsuki/Elyssa is sharing the same urge for killing or lust for blood like Yuri/Libitina then this makes kind of sense if Libitina and Elyssa are tortured in the same prison.

On to the final character, the Reporter. I’d like to think that this person is the MC or us. Since in Special Poem 3, the Reporter, much like us or MC, is just someone who got involved into something that we aren’t prepared for. Not much to say about this character, since we don’t know if we should be indulging much about them. In one of my last discussions with a friend, we also consider that Monika could be the Reporter. This would explain why she knows things that happened in Project Libitina and DDLC.

Still with me? Just as a reminder. I’m pointing out that Project Libitina is a different game that presents the previous life of the characters in DDLC, not their childhood or past. Reincarnations, to put simply.

Now, here’s another twist that I came up with. What if the characters in the Portrait of Markov are the same characters in Project Libitina? From Yuri’s reaction when we mention that she resembles the main character (who is probably Libitina), her flabbergasted reaction kind of sends a signal as if she doesn’t want us to notice it. In Portrait of Markov, the main character is a girl who moves in to a school with her younger sister. She then gets targeted by people escaping from a human experiment prison. Sound familiar? What if that experiment prison is the same one where Project Libitina was held? And what if the girls in the book are Libitina and Elyssa who escaped from the prison? Sure, they may not be biological siblings, but years of torture in the prison makes them find comfort from each other to the point they are like siblings. When they escaped from the prison, they were separated and adopted by different families. And if my theory on Yuri/Libitina and Natsuki/Elyssa is correct, then their relationship in DDLC makes a bit more sense because they are often interacting with each other and Natsuki is always looking out for Yuri. Maybe they don’t remember each other’s faces after so many years and their minds naturally shut down the memories of their torture in the prison, but instinctively Natsuki feels protective of Yuri. As for Yuri, maybe she remembers some glimpse of her previous life as Libitina, but not Elyssa. I know you might be asking, then who is the author of Portrait of Markov? Well, what if the author is the Reporter, whom in DDLC has a different name and life, but just like Yuri and Natsuki, has some memory of their previous life? It can be assumed that they may feel guilty for not being able to help or do anything for Elyssa, but who knows maybe they actually helped Libitina and Elyssa to escape. Maybe they wrote Portrait of Markov that acts as a recollection to the girls’ horrible experience and that they can never really escape from the people from the prison. I know this still leaves the question, who was Sayori and Monika in Project Libitina? Well, remember when I said Libitina’s reincarnation may be split into separate entities? Monika and Yuri can both be Libitina with each of them having some aspects of her; Monika having the ‘Third Eye’ ability and Yuri having Libitina’s uncontrolled lust for blood. So where does this leave Sayori? Unfortunately I can’t think of any ideas for her place in Project Libitina, not just because I’m running out of characters.

I really am way over my head making up this twist, am I? Lololol.

But I sill have a question from the game (DDLC). After Sayori’s death, one of the opening messages when you start the game says, “PM died for this”. Who the heck is PM? One thing that came into my mind was Project M but I don’t think it has anything to do with DDLC. Another thing was the thought that PM might be an abbreviate for Portrait of Markov. But then it should have been “PoM” instead of “PM” and still wouldn’t make sense. So who is it!?

That’s all I have for now. I’ve been thinking a lot about this after discussing with my friend so many times and coming up with so many crazy ideas and assumptions based on things that we saw and read from the game and reddit posts. I’d like to know what you guys think about this.
