I’m sure folks will remember that I reviewed Typo squishies late last year; as luck would have it, I got a couple of different ones for Christmas.

The avocado is a jumbo-sized squishy a little longer and shorter than the jumbo peach, but I haven’t even taken it out of the bag. I’m planning to regift it to a friend (with the giver’s knowledge) because it’s an exceptionally firm squishy--stress ball firm. I don’t think I’ve ever handled a squishy (as opposed to a stress ball) that’s this firm! This said, I squished a few other avocados in-store, and the firmnesses varied, so I’d recommend buying these in-person to test first.

I have seen quite a few avocado squishies in sale bins in Typo stores the last fortnight, so it may be worth checking to see if they’re still around!

The repellent squishy, aside from being hilarious, is quite a bit smaller than the others--about the same width as a small apple squishy. It’s not as wondrously soft as the lemon, but it is pleasing to squish. My only drawback is that the label has wrinkled and is starting to peel in places.

I have to say that I do like how adult the Typo squishies are: there’s a conscious attempt to steer away from childish designs that I think some adult stimmers may appreciate. I also like that these new ones, too, are low-fragrance

Unfortunately, my peach squishy is already starting to tear--about a month and a half after purchase. I’ve used it, but not daily or even excessively, as I rotate my stim toys heavily. I don’t think the Typo squishies are any more durable than any other squishy, and for this reason I’d never pay their full asking price. As a comparison, I’ve used my $1 AUD scroll squishy just as much, and I’ve only had a bit of the paint peel off!

(If you’re going to pay $10 AUD for a squishy toy and you don’t mind fabric textures, get a Squeezamal/Squishimal. They’re far more durable than a foam squishy. You can also recycle your broken squishies as plush toy stuffing, too!)
