YGO AU: Breaking the Seal 19
Chapter 19 Metamorphosis
Yugi has officially joined DOMA but will he be accepted by his fellow swordsmen?
Deep in the heart of the downtown city a helicopter was flying over the many office buildings that littered the metropolis. In the cockpit Alister had just radioed into Paradius's HQ saying they were about 5 minutes from landing. In the back Rex and Weevil were sitting and looking out at all the buildings surrounding them, they were surprised DOMA was hidden as a regular corporation in heart of downtown.
Once the helicopter landed on the roof top landing pad the four exited the aircraft and entered the elevator taking it down to the next floor. The doors opened and they were greeted by Valon who was waiting just outside leaning against a wall. He grinned at his fellow swordsmen and was about ask how the mission went when he got a glimpse of the two younger boys behind them. He raised a brow to Raphael who only sighed with a murmured “Dartz will deal with them” before he and Alister walked along side him down the hall way.
Rex and Weevil both were amazed with the fact DOMA seemed to be a hidden society operating like a giant cooperation, they followed behind the older men before they stopped in front of a set of over sized doors.
Raphael and Alister both turned to them to speak
“You're about to meet the man who will decide what to do with you.”
“Yeah so don't be rude. He doesn't have the same amount of patience as the rest of us.”
Both Weevil and Rex swallowed the lumps in their throats as the large twin doors opened to reveal a large office; with a long rectangular table in the center, chairs on each side with one chair at the head facing away from the door. A giant set of red curtains hung on the back wall with the symbol of Paradius in the center. They all entered together walking up towards the head of the table; Rex and Weevil stayed behind the taller men both giddy with excitement to meet the man who would grant them new powers.
Alister removed his sunglasses while Valon stood beside Raphael who spoke first.
“Mission accomplished, The Nameless Pharaoh's soul has been captured as per your orders, Master Dartz. ”
From behind the chair at the head of the table an arm extended out holding a martini glass filled with a green liquid, the voice behind it saying
“Ah yes the Nameless Pharaoh...”
The younger boys looked between each other very confused by what the blonde man was talking about; Pharaoh? What Pharaoh?
“While I'd love to congratulate you on a job well done Raphael.” the voice stopped before turning around to reveal Dartz seated holding his drink up giving it a small swirl. Dartz took a small sip before speaking flatly
“Unfortunately, you failed to capture him.”
This made two of his swordsmen stare in shock, Valon was the only one who was aware of this but wanted Dartz to confirm this to them before he too spoke up.
“Uhh... he's right Raph...apparently you didn't capture his soul.” Valon rubbed the back of his head a bit. Alister looked at Valon then back at Dartz he was surprised as much as anyone for Raphael to fail seemed unheard of. He was always through and a mistake that simple seemed beyond the realm of possibility.
“F-Failed... But how? I pretty sure I was dueling the Nameless Pharaoh so the Orichalcos should have sealed him!” Raphael argued, he didn't mean for it to sound argumentative but he was just as confused as all of them were at the moment.
Rex and Weevil both whispered between each other in confusion about what they where talking about; a Nameless Pharaoh? Was Yugi somehow this man they were talking about? He had to be since he was the one dueling Raphael earlier...wasn't he?
Dartz annoyed with this decided to clear things up as he put his glass down and got up from his seat to project himself better.
“Well you're not as perspective as you think you are because he got away.” He glared at Raphael for a moment before softening his expression slightly “However, in your failure you did manage to bring me something of far greater value...”
Dartz then gestured over to the red curtain that hung on the back wall, he fanned his fingers a few times beckoning for someone to come out.
“Come out now, no need to be shy...you're among your fellow members.”
Slowly but surely a small figure exited the curtain and walked towards Dartz all eyes were trained on this new person. Wearing a purple sleeveless overcoat with a semi long tail, black arm length finger less gloves on each hand, a silver band over his both upper arms along with a black tank top and grey pants. Grey knee high length platform boots with purple and black belts. A dark blue choker with a large silver pendant and a giant green gemstone on its face. Craved inside was the Seal of Orichalcos hanging from the front like a giant dog tag. Finally a matching pair of tear drop shaped Orichalcos stone earrings hung from each ear lobe.
Yugi stopped just in front of Dartz and turned to face the three swordsman and two stray teenage boys whose mouths were all hung open in utter disbelief at what they were witnessing before them. The vessel of the Nameless Pharaoh had joined DOMA.
--
Dartz had quite the pleased look on his face; watching each of the men try to process what was going on at the moment was quite fun to witness and each of them had their own response.
“Wh-what!? You can't be Yugi! You lost your soul!” Weevil shouted pointing.
“Y-e Y-e Yeah we saw you lose to the blonde guy! How can you be here when your soul has been captured?!” Rex shook a bit scared.
Yugi only grinned folding his arms and closed his eyes “Rumours about my capture have been greatly exaggerated...”
“So you took over your body at the last moment and the Orichalcos took your soul instead of Pharaoh!” Alister folded his arms too matching Yugi's pose, he was rather quick to figure out what happened.
“He pulled the old switche-roo on us he did!” Valon yelled.
“And now you've joined DOMA...” Raphael spoke sternly.
“...Why?” Alister narrowed his eyes to the boy who opened his eyes again and shot a glare right back at the red head.
Yugi was about to speak up when Dartz decided to step in and halt the session, he came up behind Yugi and rested both of his hands on his shoulders. This made Yugi jump a bit then he relaxed slightly when he looked up to see Dartz.
“Enough. Yugi has his own reasons for joining our cause just as all three of you. As seasoned members of DOMA I expect my swordsmen to treat our newest and most elite member with the care and respect I expect from EACH of you.” Dartz's tongue was as sharp and commanding as always, he gave each of his swordsmen a knowing look before giving Yugi's shoulders a quick squeeze and releasing his hold on the boy.
Each of his swordsmen nodded in confirmation; Dartz then gestured to Yugi to sit in his seat which he did without question. Yugi crossed his legs folding his arms before sitting back in the seat while Dartz continued.
“Now then, we still have one glaring problem don't we?” Dartz folded his arms behind his back and turned away from the group to face the wall behind. “The Nameless Pharaoh, and his associate Joseph Wheeler are safe and we still require their souls...”
Raphael quickly got down on one knee and bowed to Dartz hanging his head low, ashamed to look up at his master due to his previous failure.
“Let me go again Master...Ill fix my mistake.”
Dartz turned back and looked down at Raphael who like a loyal dog was ready to once again prove himself to his master, always ready to serve at a moments notice. Oh how Dartz did love it when his minions would gravel before him begging to do his bidding. It truly did prove who had all of the control in this room.
Yugi watched Raphael's actions and was about to speak up; he wanted a chance to take on the Nameless Pharaoh for himself since he felt he deserved it far more then blonde man. But it seemed Rex and Weevil had beaten him to the punch since they both ran in front and got down on their hands and knees before Dartz too.
“Wait! Instead of sending him again-” Weevil begged
“Send us instead!” Rex shouted out before getting a smack on the back of his head by Weevil instantly before he corrected himself “Uh I mean please send us instead!”
Dartz glared down at the two new faces before him “Who are these two?” He demanded.
“Urgh I knew he didn't notice us...” Rex said under his breath annoyed.
Raphael answered for them “Weevil Underwood and Rex Raptor, the self proclaimed former Regional Japanese Champion and Runner up...”
Both duelists resented the “self proclaimed” part of the sentence and had gone on to explain how they wanted to defeat Yugi and Joey ever since they humiliated them back in Duelist Kingdom and how all they wanted was chance to have their revenge against them. On hands and knees they lowered their heads to the ground and started to beg Dartz to allow them to have the Seal of Orichalcos in exchange they would bring back to souls he desired.
Dartz narrowed his eyes and asked them “Both Joey Wheeler and Nameless Pharaoh are chosen duelists who possess the Legendary Dragons...How do you intend to fight against cards like those?”
“That's why we need the Seal of Orichalcos! If we have it we'll be strong enough to win!” Weevil begged.
“Please! You gotta let us have that power!” Rex also begged.
Dartz turned around again and started to think for a moment closing his eyes as he did, he was just about to give them an answer when Yugi who'd been watching them the entire time finally spoke up.
“You two can't be serious right?”
All eyes except Dartz's fell on Yugi who got up from his seat and walked up standing before both Rex and Weevil, hands on his hips he glared at them.
“You two honestly think you stand a chance at beating The Nameless Pharaoh AND Joey? ” He huffed with a little chuckle.
“Hey! Butt outta this twerp! This doesn't involve you!” Rex growled standing up now followed by Weevil.
“Yeah! So shut up and sit back down!” Weevil glared and pointed back at the chair.
Yugi stopped chuckling before he made proper eye contact with both of them and started his rant, first facing Weevil.
“Okay first of all; Weevil the only reason you were even made 'Champion' was because Kaiba dropped out and I wasn't competing at the time. If we'd both entered the regional's you would have been lucky to even be in 5th! Second; you were the FRIST person sent home from Duelist Kingdom! You lost to ME in round one of the biggest tournament at the time! Third; Not to mention you're the worst cheater I've ever met! In fact even when you cheat you STILL lose! Don't think I didn't hear about how you snuck that parasite card into Joey's deck in Battle City! And guess what? You STILL lost to him!”
Yugi then turned to Rex and shot a glare to him “And you Rex you're just as bad as Weevil! You lost in your first duel to Joey! You were only his second official duel on the island, he didn't even need me couching him in order to beat you! He rightfully won his Red Eyes from you! And just like Weevil you were knocked out of Battle City in your first duel! Joey made it to top 4 without Reds Eyes OR a God Card! And now you think you're going to just waltz up to the both of them and expect to win? You're both dreaming!”
Rex and Weevil had their mouths hung wide open by Yugi's rant, they never expected him to be so harsh, but now as his words sunk in they started to become angry, especially when he started laughing at them.
“There's no amount of occult magic on EARTH that will make you two better duelists! Even if the Orichalcos could increase your power by 100% it wouldn't make a difference! Here' a quick math equation for you since I know you both suck at that; 0 x 100 is still 0. ”
Yugi put his index finger and thumb together in front of his eye and made a “zero” with it followed by a sneer on his face.
“And that's ALL you're ever gonna be. Losers!”
Yugi had always wanted to finally tell the two of them off especially Weevil and now it looked like he finally got his wish. He didn't need to hold back anymore he could finally let all that venom he was always forced into swallowing spill out of him and into the faces of the two he felt deserved to hear it. Yugi was finally in control and now no one was going to step on him again!
The swordsmen had been watching the entire time; Raphael had stood back up again once Yugi had finished, Alister wasn't fully invested in their argument since to him it was a bunch of kids bickering with each other. While Valon was the most amused of the three he did love a good school yard fight and it was looking like their would be a fight. Dartz was the only one who kept his same pose keeping his back to them, but on his face a delighted grin was growing.
Rex's under eye was twitching in rage, he HATED that word 'Loser' it was all that ever played in his mind since the day he lost to Joey. It's all he ever heard from anyone who saw him in town, a former star fallen so quickly to a new comer and how he'd never been able to regain his footing ever since. Always having to lose the spot light to others, it enraged him so much and now he had to deal with the tiny goth who was looking down at him like a bug...
He was just about ready to fire back when Weevil who was far more calm then expected, held up his hand in front of Rex to stop him. He looked at the bug duelist who took off his glasses and pulling out a pocket handkerchief, he rubbed and cleaned his lenses before replacing his glasses back on. He had a calm smile on his face as he began.
“You know it's funny you mention cheating 'Yugi'...Since you're the biggest cheater in this room!”
Yugi's eyes widened when he heard that he wanted to argue but once again he was cut off by Weevil who continued.
“I always thought something was different about you...how could such a meek and timid little kid beat someone like Kaiba? Now it all makes sense...You've been swapping places with this 'Pharaoh' whose been dueling in your place! It's the only way a pathetic weakling like you could even stand a chance at beating Pegasus! Let alone win all of Battle City...” Weevil chuckled with his annoying “hyuck, hyuck, hyuck” sound.
“At least when Rex and I duel we duel as ourselves! We don't sub in with a better person...As far as I'm concerned you're not the 'King of Games'...in fact none of those titles are rightfully yours are they? Guess all that glitters isn't gold huh?”
“Yeah maybe we should call you “Pyrite” from now on!” Rex laughed hoping everyone got his joke but instead almost everyone looked at him confused as to what he meant so he decided to clarify.
“Pyrite. It's a stone that looks like gold but it's not...you know “fools gold”? Because he's a fake and everyone thinks he's the real deal?” Again he was met with silence so he just crossed his arms and huffed.
“You know I have other aspirations outside of Duel Monsters! I just so happen to like Geology!”
“Uh...okay?” Weevil just eyed him for a moment before returning to looking at Yugi and cleared his throat.
“You can dress dangerously and act like a big shot all you want 'Yugi' but it doesn't hide the fact deep down inside without him you are NOTHING. Without him there's nothing worth while about you! You only have friends because of him! I mean why would ANYONE want to be friends with a pathetic little cry baby like you anyway! A gullible cry baby who let ME toss his Exodia cards off the ship!”
Those words echoed in Yugi's mind making his eyes widen more, his iris's shrinking into dots as a cold sweat ran down his face. He could hear both Rex and Weevil's mocking laughter all around him. It stung into his heart like a burning knife, and it was twisting even deeper with every sound.
Weevil pushed his glasses up on the bridge of his nose and continued “I bet you need him to do everything for you don't you? I'm sure he's the one who that cute girl Tea likes huh? Not that I can blame her! I mean if I had to go out with one of you I'd rather pick the “stud” then be stuck with the “dud”!”
This made Rex burst out laughing as he leaned on Weevil's shoulder and hooted “Ha! You're right! I bet he's even made HIM go out on a date with her too! Since he knows he'd never have a chance with a 10 when he's a -10!”
Yugi was fuming in his mind; No! This was wrong! How could he feel this way? How could he let THEM make him feel this way? He was in control now! He was the one with the power!
“No wonder you needed to Seal of Orichalcos to beat Joey, looks like you're even weaker then him huh? I Guess your equation applies to you most of all!” Weevil once again chuckled crossing his arms and looking down at Yugi.
Yugi felt his blood start to boil; he looked down at the ground as he clenched his hands into fists so tightly his knuckles started to turn white. The sound of their laughter adding more fuel to his rage as he started to tremble in anger. He could feel a white hot burning sensation start to build up on his forehead as the Seal of Orichalcos was reacting to his building aggression.
“Aww whats the matter Yugi? Guess without the Pharaoh to sub in for you, you can't talk back huh?” Rex chortled with a snort. “Get back to your lane and go back to being a shadow! Suits a nothing like you anyway!”
Each of the swordsmen watched as Yugi started to tremble, more and more dark energy started to surround him. The room itself started to shake not just the room but the whole building was trembling. Dartz had turned to watch Yugi; while on the outside he had a surprised look inside he was delighted to watch Yugi tap into his powers as more of his negative feelings started to build up powering the Seal of Orichalcos under his control.
Rex and Weeil both eventually stopped laughing once they felt the quaking in the room becoming more violent. They both looked at Yugi who was becoming consumed in his power, the aura of something powerful glowed behind him making everyone look at him in fear.
Raphael's eyes widened as he felt the uncanny power Yugi was giving off.
“What's happening? Is this his power?”
Alister was bracing himself as the room started to shake even more violently.
“No way! He can't be this strong! How is he doing all of this!?”
Valon grabbed into a chair was best he could with only one arm.
“Brace yourself boys I think he's gonna blow!” //Is this why the boss wanted him so badly?//
Rex and Weevil hugged each other in fear as they watched Yugi now lift his head; the seal was glowing brighter as his eyes now glowed bright red. From his mouth pouring out was a purple and black energy as he harshly started to pant.
Yugi lifted his arms slightly his hands open with his fingers curled like he had claws at the ends of his finger tips. It looked like he was about to launch himself at the two duelists but something halted him pulling him back and forcing him to stay in place. Yugi snapped his head back to see who would dare touch him like this only to see if was Dartz.
“That's enough.”
His words carried all around the room and almost like a switch being thrown the violent shaking finally stopped. The room-the whole building in fact was quiet again as all eyes were on Dartz once more. Dartz had squeezed Yugi's shoulder again making Yugi tense up before finally relaxing, he could feel his dark aura start to lift as the energy from his mouth faded away along with the seal on his forehead.
Yugi sighed deeply and looked down before lifting his head back up at everyone in the room; he saw just how scared they all looked as he held the side of his head. He felt all his energy had left him leaving him with a throbbing headache, he stumbled a little but Dartz kept him from fully falling over.
Dartz looked at Yugi and in a commanding fatherly tone of voice he spoke to him
“Wait outside until I call for you.”
Yugi's eyes widened when he heard that so he started to argue “But I didn't do- They started it!” Yugi angerly shot a glare at Rex and Weevil again who jumped slightly at his gaze. With a cold and firm squeeze to Yugi's shoulder he repeated himself even more stern then before.
“I said to WAIT outside until I CALL for you.”
Yugi was frustrated but he knew he couldn't disobey Dartz's order, he roughly pulled himself from his grip and walked past the others towards the large doors. Pushing them open roughly before walking outside and slamming them closed as hard as he could. It was like watching a child have a temper tantrum with a parent and being forced into going into time out. Everyone left in the room had watched Yugi's exit as a great deal of relief was felt by all of them. No one could believe such over whelming power came from the vessel, it was no wonder Dartz wanted Yugi if he was this powerful.
Their attention was once again drawn by Dartz clearing his throat before approaching Rex and Weevil his arms again folded behind his back.
“Well then...you two certainly have a... talent for bringing out the worse in a individual now don't you...”
“Uh-uhh... well you see Mr Dartz we-” Rex started.
“I wouldn't e-exactly call it a talent sir we-” Weevil tried to finish only for Dartz to cut them off with a raising of his hand.
“Oh no I see it as quite the asset to our organization...and talent like yours shouldn't be wasted...” Dartz grinned before going into his breast pocket and pulling out two cards, he then dropped them in front of the Bug and Dino duelists.
“These are for you two.”
--
Back at the RV campsite everyone was inside and gathered around as Yami Yugi explained what Raphael had told him about DOMA's goals. How they wanted to reset everything back to zero so they can create a new world from that point.
Joey asked the obvious question.
“Okay so what does Yugi have to do with it? He's been their target since day one and now that they have him, so what part does he have to play in it?”
Yami looked down not wanting to make eye contact with anyone he was still not in the best of moods.
“I have no idea...Raphael told me Yugi's soul is the purest soul he's seen since he was able to break the seal of Orichalocs not just once but twice...”
“Maybe that's it...” Tea spoke up now “Maybe Yugi is the key to stopping them so they had to seal him away to stop him from doing that!”
“It makes sense, why else would they be after him if he didn't hold the key to their defeat?” Mai was leaning against a wall with her arms crossed.
“So we gotta get Yugi back no matter what! If he really is the key to stopping them we don't got time to waste!” Joey yelled.
“Yeah but how do we do that? We don't even know where DOMA is located, we need some kind of clue that's why we came here to begin with.” Tristan pointed out.
“Didn't you say the professor was researching something he found in the Atlantic ocean Bec? Maybe there's some clue hidden in those ruins he found?”
Duke looked over to Rebecca was busy typing away at her laptop not looking up from her screen when she answered.
“Well whatever was down there is not going to help us now...the ruins are gone guys!”
Everyone looked over to her shocked by her statement, how could the ruins have disappeared so suddenly? It must have been DOMA they were trying to cover up something hidden in the ruins that would have helped them and now they had no leads.
“Great so we're back at square one!?” Joey held his head and grumbled under his breath “We're just goin's around in circles...”
Just then Professor Hawkin's emerged from the back of the camper looking much better then when they had found him the night before. He explained to them that what he did manage to decode from the ruins with his first investigation was that DOMA and it's members seem to be decedents of Atlantis which is what he believes those ruins to be remnants of. He told them from what he read a King summoned a giant monster who destroyed the city of Atlantis. But that was all he could decipher from the ruins so far, they would have a better chance at finding more information from the fragments he'd had sent to Florida for more research.
“Alright! Let's make our way to Florida!” Joey jumped up and pointed in the air “Hang on Yug we're on our way!”
“Uhh... so obvious question how do we get there? I'm not exactly swimming in dough here and a cross country drive isn't really up my alley...” Mai said making the whole group sigh.
Now that they realized they needed a ride to other side of the country and with little to no extra funds getting there was going to be a real task.
“I hate to say it be I think we need to call Kaiba...” Tea said with an exhausted sigh.
--
Yugi had his back against the wall across from the twin doors of Dartz's meeting room; with his arms crossed he was still fuming over what had happened a few moments ago. How could he let Rex and Weevil aggravate him so much? He normally would bite his tongue and just let it all slip off his back like water on a duck. Well that was the old Yugi! New Yugi wasn't going to let anyone speak to him that way again! He grit his teeth a bit as the sting of their words was still so fresh in his heart.
“Nothing.” They called him a “Nothing”!
Yugi could once again feel the burning on his forehead; the Seal of Orichalcos was supposed to give him power! Make him stronger! So no one could mess with him anymore! Yugi snarled as he squeezed his covered forearms in rage.
Then why did it still hurt? Why did he still feel helpless and weak?
His thoughts were interrupted as he saw an eerie green glow peek out from the cracks of the twin doors, just as quickly as it came it vanished after only moment. The Orichalcos had accepted two new souls into DOMA Yugi would soon figure out as he heard some mumbling behind the door just before the set of doors opened up again. Raphael and Alister had walked out first and started to march down the hallway followed by Rex and Weevil who were holding their newly acquired Orichalcos magic cards. As they passed in front of Yugi they both shared the same smug sneer directed towards Yugi, holding up their cards in front of him to see before following the two men down the hall way in a proud stride.
Yugi could feel his blood boil at that sight; how could Dartz let those two have the Seal's power? Why were they suddenly so special? Again his thoughts were halted when the final swordsman walked out of the room and gave him a quick whistle to grab his attention. Yugi looked up at Valon as he nudged his head back towards the room before he followed everyone else down the hallway.
Yugi sighed as he knew now he'd have to face the music about his earlier outburst...He took a big breath and headed inside the meeting room. Back at the head of the table Dartz was in his usual seat typing away on a laptop on the table, he didn't look up as Yugi walked up to his side.
Seeing Dartz occupied by his typing and computer work made Yugi recall his childhood; this was exactly how his father looked when he'd be typing away at his computer, the world around him might as well have not been there the way he was so engrossed with his work. A young Yugi about 7 years old nervously approached his father's side and waited to speak with him, he'd scratch at his elbow as he waited for his father to even glace at him but no he never did.
Yugi had been sent home with a note from his teacher; the concern about him being too quiet and not making any attempt at trying to speak to the other students. How he'd hide away indoors during recess, or sit alone in a corner with his lunch always with some kind of game to keep him occupied. Even outside he'd find a small quiet spot and plant himself down with a small hand held game and would busy himself with that. Once in awhile someone would come over to try and get him to join a sports game with the others but he'd always decline. He always had an excuse as to why they should leave him be, he'd lose them the game for certain since he wasn't very sporty at all.
Eventually people stopped asking him all together so Yugi just kept to himself; but more recently certain kids had found his behaviour to be abnormal and as most people do when they do not understand a person they make them a target of ridicule. Yugi soon found himself the target of quite a few bullies in his grade; they'd steal his things, push him around and call him many hurtful things. Yugi wasn't sure how to respond to them very well, with his quiet nature it only really irritated his bullies more which lead to more violent actions trying to get a rise or any kind of response from him besides silence.
This time he'd come home with a few bruises on his face and arms which scared his mother; once she read the note she was upset not with Yugi but with the people who were hurting her son. Yugi didn't want them to get into trouble so he would never tell his teachers when this would happen. But this time someone else saw what happened and did something about it. Tea wasn't someone to be messed with so when she saw Yugi was being hurt she jumped right in and pushed his bullies back. There was a struggle as Yugi jumped in to try and help her, he was graced with quite a number of bruises for his effort. Tea ended up knocking out someones teeth which lead to a lot of tears and yelling, she had gotten into trouble and had to be taken out of school for the day. Yugi on the other hand had to talk to his teacher but since he refused to open his month they had no choice but to send the note home explaining what happened and for his parents to speak with him.
This was one of the few times Yugi's father was actually home doing some remote work for the time being. His mother had instructed him to go and speak to his father, so he entered the dinning room and waited by his father's side ready to speak but no words would come out. No matter how hard he tried to push the words out to speak, all that would come out was a small squeak and barely half a word mixed with a short mumble. Finally his father stopped typing and sat back in the hard dining chair trying to stretch out his back, a audible crack was heard as he fell a bit limp in his chair. Look up at the ceiling he rubbed the budge of his nose up and down before giving a deep and tired sigh.
“Yugi, I don't have time for this right now. Whatever is happening in school you need to just open your mouth and deal with it okay? Now just go to bed.”
With those words he quickly sat back up in the chair and started typing away again, the sound of the key clicking echoed in Yugi's mind as he looked down in shame and exited the room. Heading towards the stairs he took one final look back at the room, only the glow of the blue screen form the laptop could be seen as Yugi turned back and started to slowly walk up the stairs and in to his bedroom.
Grandpa was away on yet another expedition that would last a few weeks so Yugi's parents were watching the store for him. Yugi always missed him when he'd leave for a long trip like this but he'd always bring back something from his journeys. Grandpa was the only one who ever understood him so it was lonely when he wasn't around. Yugi would go rummaging through the stores basement stock looking for something to play with this time he found a golden box with puzzle pieces inside...
Yugi was snapped back into the reality of his situation again; He gripped his elbow and rubbed it up and down a few times looking down in shame waiting for when Dartz would scold him for his actions. He knew it was coming after all why else would he want him to come in after everyone was gone? Well he decided he'd apologize first and maybe this would lessen the blow. The boy fiddled with his fingers a bit before working up the courage to finally speak to the teal haired man.
“Dartz...I uhh I just wanna say...” he took in a big breath again before finishing “I'm so sorry about how I acted! I never ever should have let myself become so enraged like that! It's never appropriate for me to speak that way and I never intended to hurt anyone! I promise I'll never let it happen again! I'm so sorry I disappointed you... ”
Yugi looked down and got on his hands and knees as an act of apogee hoping this would prove to the man he was truly sorry for his actions. He lowered his head to the ground and heard when Dartz stopped typing at his laptop. He shut his eyes tightly and waited for when Dartz would finally turn around to scold him...
But it never came.
Yugi waited and waited and waited but Dartz didn't speak to him...oh great he must have really messed up if Dartz was gonna give him the silent treatment.
“You are apologizing... for being rightfully upset?” Dartz finally spoke making Yugi look up at the man confused by his very clam tone.
Dartz looked down at Yugi but there was no look of disappointment on his face just a raised brow in confusion and now Yugi was also confused.
“Y-you're not disappointed in me?”
“Should I be?” He tilted his head. “You were to just stand idle as those two continued to insult you? Yugi you've spent far too long allowing yourself to stay silent while everyone tramples over you. That behaviour is what I intend to correct.”
“Still, I'm sorry I acted out like that...it's just when they started to say those horrible things about me...it only really hurt because it's true...”
Yugi looked down at his hands, they were shaking a bit as his eyes wavered.
“I'm really nothing without him...all those titles arnt really mine. I never cared about the titles or fame or anything like that! But still...I can't do anything on my own even with the Seal of Orichalcos' power I'm still nothing compered to him...”
Dartz turned around in his chair to face Yugi properly, with a small frown on his lips he took in a breath before speaking.
“Yugi...you are for more powerful then you realize. But you simply must stop comparing yourself to the Nameless Pharaoh. You are not him and he is not you, you are of night and day you and him. And while he may seem to shine brightly during the day the night belongs to the true star of this world...”
Dartz reached out and touched Yugi's cheek making him look into his mismatched eyes; once again a powerful aura surrounded his eyes making them shine like a twinkle of light. Yugi could feel warmth glowing inside his amethyst eyes with a hint of green now circling his the purple iris.
“Your emotions are valid Yugi and they are very powerful...you nearly caused this whole building to collapse under your rage after all.” Dartz had let go of Yugi's face and sat back in his chair a bit more relaxed now.
“I- I didn't mean to do that! I don't know how I did that...” Yugi put his index and middle fingers to his mouth drumming them against his lower lip, as he tried to ration with himself about his powerful outburst.
Dartz smiled as his folded his hands into his lap. “Just a slight taste of your new powers my child...”
“Powers? Are these the powers the Orichalcos gave me?” Yugi looked to Dartz who gave a slight chuckle.
“Only one of them...you have many more you still need to unlock...”
“More powers? I have even more powers?!” Yugi asked excitedly.
Dartz gave a slight nod again making Yugi's smile grow even wider.
“Indeed, while I managed to unlock a few of them on your first awakening there are many more you still need to discover for yourself. ”
“It feels so unbelievable...I can't believe I really have powers now! ” Yugi looked down at his hands opening and closing his hands a few times, his heart was fluttering with joy. It felt amazing to know even without the puzzle around his neck he did have powers of his own. It felt so liberating to have this new knowledge.
Then a thought crossed his mind so he asked “...Did I always have them? These hidden powers?”
He looked to Dartz who once again nodded.
“Of course you did my child...You've always glowed with a naturally powerful light in your heart, the light of your heart is like a brilliant burning star.” He then paused for a moment before continuing
“But as I said before the Pharaoh's jealously has always blanketed your glowing light. For he sees himself as the sun; something the world worships and can outshine all other lights in the sky. He has always tried to extinguish your power, make you feel inferior to him in every way... it's the best way for him to control you after all. If you discovered you didn't need him then his plans would have failed...”
Yugi grit his teeth a bit thinking about how this did feel typical of his former partner...he really couldn't stand the fact Yugi really was stronger then him could he? He tightened his fingers again making two fists.
“I refuse to stay in his shadow anymore...How can I unlock the rest of my powers?” He asked.
“First you must properly separate yourself from him in every way; while you lack your original body as of now you already have managed to change your appearance which is good you're starting to see yourself as your own man again. Now you must show your true strength as a duelist in your own right.”
“True Duelist? What do you mean?” Yugi asked.
“Follow me.”
Dartz stood up closing his laptop before heading to the door, he gestured for Yugi to follow him which he did existing the office behind him. They headed down a different corridor then the one the swordsmen had taken earlier. Yugi wasn't sure where they were going to end up but he trusted Dartz was going to help him like he said he would and this was just part of the process, he had to trust it.
“All this time you've been using a deck you and the Nameless Pharaoh made together correct?” Dartz turned his head to see Yugi nod so he continued turning his head forward again.
“You poured your heart into making that deck with him only for him to betray you and your monsters...He turned his back on everything you hold dear...he has forsaken the 'heart of the cards.'”
Yugi felt the sting of the betrayal hit him once more making him place a hand over his heart, the pain was still so hot so fresh. Watching Yami sacrifice their monsters one by one, laughing and mocking his opponent he really did turn out to be a monster...He felt awful about trusting him letting him into his heart and body so openly and letting him become so close to his friends...
“A deck is a reflection of your heart and that deck is nothing but a reflection of the Pharaoh as he wishes the world to see him. He wishes nothing more then to be you, to take your name and your life and claim it as his own.”
“He's nothing but a parasite...” Yugi hissed.
Dartz stopped in front of a door, it looked just like all the other doors in the hallway but this once seemed to have special kind of key card lock on it.
“Yes he certainly is...and the only way to remove a parasite is to flush it from your system. To truly separate yourself from his influence you must stand on your own and show you are capable of fighting for yourself. You must build a new deck, a new reflection of your true heart...”
Yugi watched as Dartz pulled out a card from his breast pocket and swiped it into the key lock before placing his hand on a black pad, with a small beep and door unlocked itself. Dartz turned the handle and opened the door for Yugi to walk inside.
Yugi entered the room first and looked around; inside was a large room filled with dozens of glass cabinets all of them containing duel monster cards. Yugi's eyes widened in excitement at seeing so many cards before him. It was like being in an upscale card shop with literally thousands of cards at the ready.
“What is this place?” Yugi asked.
Dartz came up beside him and watched Yugi become more excited, he smiled to him.
“This is my private collection. DOMA has access to every card ever produced, these rare and one of kind cards are saved only for myself, my swordsmen and now...you of course.”
Yugi almost chocked when he heard that, he looked up at Dartz in disbelief as his eyes widened even more his mouth a gasp.
“M-Me? You're going to let me-”
Dartz chuckled “Why of course my child...I told you; you are an elite member of DOMA.”
Dartz pulled out another card similar to one he used to open the door and handed it to Yugi. He took the card and could see it was an ID card with his picture and name embossed on the front. Yugi felt his heart skip he couldn't believe it...he really was important.
“You will use these cards to build your strongest deck. Build a deck that truly reflects your heart and prove once and for all who the true Yugi Mutou is!”
Yugi nodded with a newly determined look on his face, he raised a fist in the air and shouted “I will! I wont let you down Dartz!”
A slight grin grew on Dartz's face as he watched Yugi.
“You may stay as long as you wish...My swordsmen will came and check on you later. Have fun Yugi.” Dartz waved before he left the room.
Yugi felt like a kid in an candy store with unlimited funds to have any candy he wanted, he ran towards a cabinet and opening it up examining the cards inside before taking out a few and holding him up to see what he had to work with.
As Dartz closed the door he could hear Yugi run off to start building his deck; he watched the door for a moment before turning away and leaving, keeping his hands folded behind his back as he walked down the hallway.
“This should keep him busy for while, now to make preparations for the ritual...”

Suki's Entrapment
I never post on here 😞😞 but. I have an old tidbit from my Satosugu love child, so.. here.
Idk what tw this count as — maybe gore?? I dunno and don't really care !!
"Prison realm. Open."
It was late in the day in Shibuya— there was a cold breeze, the sun hidden by several clouds. Though, the chill in the air was not even close to being Suki's largest problem.
Suguru Getō stood before his son, or at least the husk of what used to be Suguru Getō. A cold sneer spread across his face, his eyes dull with a sheen of malice.
"I do apologize. It's a shame to seal away a child as young as you, Suki. Perhaps I will release you in a few millennia... then you'll be willing to cooperate, hm?" The man spoke calmly and clearly, but he sounded nothing like Getō. Getō wouldn't talk to Suki like that. No, he couldn't.
If Suki wasn't struggling against the fleshy grips of the Prison Realm, he might've jumped on Getō and hugged him so hard that he broke a rib or two. Alas, the child couldn't, he was stuck on his knees, his entire body slowly being consumed by the mass.
"No, no no no, please no." Suki begged, shaking his head from side to side. His sunglasses fell and shattered into pieces, and he let out a quiet sob. Those sunglasses— he got them from his other father for his birthday. His birthday last week, actually—
"Oh, no no. Stop struggling. You're wasting your energy." Getō tutted, wagging his finger. The prison realm continued to slowly shrink, inch by inch consuming the teenager.
"Dad, please!"
Both Suki and Getō froze at the cry that escaped Suki's mouth. Dad? How..peculiar. Getō's smile dropped for a moment, only to return with an even harsher grin.
"Dad?" He asked, stepping forward and placing a finger under the teens chin, making him look up. "I am not your father, child. He's long dead."
Suki shook his head vigorously, tears escaping all six of his eyes. "Uh-uh! Uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh!"
Getō tsked, parting his bang and undoing the stitches on his forehead. He lifted up the top half of his head, exposing a brain with a..strange, rectangular mouth on it. A clear liquid began to drip from where his brain was exposed, trailing down his face and even entering his mouth. He had a psychotic expression on his face, clearly enjoying taunting the child.
"My name is Kenjaku, foolish one. Your 'dad' is no more. I have no use for this conversation. Goodnight, Suki." Getō— no, not Getō. Kenjaku droned, snapping.
"Prison Realm. Close."
Suki let out a cry, his flesh stretching and tearing as he was forced into a cube similar in size to a building block.
"No, wai—" His voice was cut off as the Prison Realm fully engulfed him. He opened his eyes to find himself in a dark void— nothing on any side of him. Not even a floor. He was just free-floating in the abyss.
He put his head in his hands and brought his knees to his chest, sobs freely escaping him. Being there was painful, and Suki wanted nothing more than to be out of this hell. Internally, he knew he wouldn't get out. He knew it could be millions of years before he was released or died.
And so, the child merely sobbed for his father. Suki longed for the feeling of Gojō's arms around him— the feeling of safety. Deep down, the child in him still called for his daddies. For the men that had created and raised him.
He had an eternity to beg for the release of death. It had already felt like hundreds of years had passed as Suki cried, though it had only been a few days at most.
Clang.
What?
Clang.
What was going on?
CLANG.
What is that godforsaken noise?
Thump.
Suki, curled up into the fetal position, fell from the prison realm, hitting the ground with a thump. All of the sudden, every single sensation of the real world flooded his senses, sending his brain into overdrive. Suki could hear the blood pumping in his veins, the chattering of hundreds of people as they questioned him, the tweeting of the birds, the wind blowing softly in his ears. He could smell every little thing, from his own tears to the shampoo of everybody present. He could feel the sun beating down on him, the wind blowing against his torn clothing, his self administered wounds reopening from the sudden movement.
Worst of all, he could see. Suki could see the sun, blindingly bright after 6 months in the prison realm. Everything blurred together, from the white hair of his father to the pink hair of Yuuji. He could've sworn that there was a voice calling his name, but who knows? Maybe he'd finally snapped inside of the prison realm.
"Suki."
He ignored it, hoping the voices would go away if he ignored them.
"Suki."
Yet, the voice persisted. More tears dripped from Suki's eyes.. of course, his brain had to make it sound like Yuuji.
"Suki!"
He finally opened an eye when he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"Oh, gods, you're alive." Satoru pulled his son into a tight hug, Yuuji joining it seconds later. Suki remained completely still. Was his mind still playing tricks? Was this real? No, no it couldn't be. The prison realm was inescapable. Right?
All of the teens eyes finally opened, his six eyes observing the area around him. There was a large crowd, maybe 50 people? All of the Jujutsu Higher-ups were there. Instead of this making him believe it was real, he just slouched into himself. Of course. He was reliving his best and worst memories.
Suki's vibrant irises were covered by his eyelids once more, and three words fell from his lips. They were dull, monotone, like he knew it was a fact but wished it wasn't.
"You're not real."
For Satoru, time seemed to stop. Had he been too late? was this his child anymore? Where did.. where did the shine in his eyes go? The joy?
For Yuuji, everything began racing. How could he convince Suki this was real? Would he ever be able to get Suki back? Had his boyfriend entered a state of no return.
Satoru and Yuuji spoke in unison, though Satoru spoke like he couldn't believe it and Yuuji spoke like it was consuming his every waking thought. "Suki, this is real."
The boy shook his head. He felt like a shell of what he used to be— how could anything be real when he felt this.. horrid.
Rather randomly, a large, white dog pounced on Suki and began licking his face, slobbering all over the teen. He opened his eyes, pushing Miko away, who promptly hit him. He yelped, pulling his hand away.
"Miko! Bad!" He scolded, and the big dog rested his head on Suki's lap.
A flash of white blinded the boy, and Suki found himself sitting in a room next to his father. When he tried to get his attention, he was ignored.
"We need to get him out of there soon."
"How? The prison realm is inescapable, even for Suki. Even for me!"
"I can do it."
Another flash of light, and he found himself face to face with an angel.
"Child." She spoke, reaching out a hand to the boy. "You're free of the realm. Greet your family."
Another flash, and Suki found himself back where he'd started, on the hard concrete, held tightly in Satoru and Yuuji's arms. Finally, he raised his own and wrapped them around his dad and lover.
"I missed you." He whispered, breaking into tears. For the first time in six months, they were happy.
THATS ALL THANKS !! I have more stuff for my. Various other OCS but I might talk about them later

Plastic Frames: Lightweight and available in various colors, plastic frames are perfect for casual wear.

Conduction on Tour(Tentative Title)
This should have been Lenox’s dream job. A big paying job that carried with it a lot of clout that could really help build up her reputation. A massive step up from fighting in underground cage matches and bouncer gigs in order to help provide for her two younger siblings, where she obtained the horrible nickname the Flying Bear.
Lenox Xing-Balam is a cambion, a humanoid who has genealogy with demons of the Ars Goetia. Her lineage, as her last name suggested, was that of Balam. The bear part of the implication, giving her bear ears, or at least orange hairy human ears to match her hair. Cambion have a tendency to be villainized due to having demonic origins. Something Lenox sorely recalls after she mutated during the grazing bang. Due to her lineage and being so young when the mutation occurred, she grew fast and by the time she was a teenager she was the height of some adult men.
The job Lenox has now is guarding the pop star Brittany DeBoin, a starlet who despite being around for less than 3 years was already approaching a level of fame it would have taken her predecessors years to achieve. Her music was described by music critics as the odd whimsy of Kate Bush, the chunky layered production of Arca and the pop sensibilities of Kylie Mignoa. To her fans, she was an eclectic, dynamic performer who had not tried to hide from her being influenced by these artists.
Others saw her as a hodgepodge, with too many ideas and influences muddling her style down. Brittany came from money as well. Not helped that she threw her allegiance behind Cernunos, a god who has had a storied past of sexual deviance.
In other words, she was polarizing.
Not only that, during this trip her two siblings would be staying at a highly regarded and most importantly, highly guarded, boarding school that was all expense paid and had the resources to help her brother Garcia, who has physical disabilities. Helped that she knew one of the seniors at the Academy who would keep an eye on her siblings for her. The cambion could at least guarantee that her siblings would be ok.
Everything should be flawless.
“Lenny!” A high, haughty voice cut through Lenox’s concentration. Not helped by the voice calling her by a nickname she does not like.
“Yes Ms. DeBoin.” Patient and proper. Not unlike a butler that the other voice seemed to think Lenox is.
A tall woman struts up to the woman before her. She is a pale, slim thing with white hair that went to her neck. Wearing jeans and a long sleeve blouse that left her navel exposed, showing her toned stomach. While she was taller than most normal people, Lenox still managed to dwarf her by at least a head’s height. On her face are rectangular sunglasses, meant to provide some kind of mystique. On the backs of her hands were two tattoos of roses. One blue on her right, and a red on her left.
She lowers the sunglasses, so her eyes can be seen by the cambion. Brittany has striking golden eyes with green scales under her eyelids. “Rooms are already set up. You are good to sleep on the sofa. You will have to carry some of my bags down when we leave in two days.”
Lenox furrows her brow. This kind of work is beneath her, guarding the envoy of Cernunnos is already a stressful task. “Why can’t you have the hotel staff bring them down?” Lenox folds her arms and shoots Brittany a look of impatience.
Focusing on her bodyguard’s muscular arms, a smug smile forms. She is sizing her up, thinking of the next way to test her patience. “Some of the staff dropped a few of my bags on the way up here. Some of my fragile things dad bought me.”
Her father, Alfred DeBoin is the pioneering bio-organic surgeon, who has mastered the ability to surgically alter people who were altered after the grazing bang altered their bodies. Being an early follower of the goddess Apolly, the guardian of the god whose body is mined for the material needed, helped immensely. This also put a target on Brittany’s head.
“I will help with 1, maybe 2 bags. Beyond that, the hotel staff will need to help you. I need to make sure I am ready in the chance someone tries to hurt you.”
An expression of realization is plastered on the diva’s face. “Talk about killing my joke. Well, if you want to get out with help with luggage, I guess I will just allow you to resume your duty as my personal magic proof shield.”
Lenox made sure to not dignify that with a response. Remember how she handled her baby sister Lana when she was eight: if you ignore the teasing, it will stop being fun. This proved effective almost immediately, the musician sighed and walks away, losing her source of fun. For now.

How to Choose the Perfect Sunglasses for Your Face Shape

Sunglasses are not just eyepieces—they are both fashion and comfort combined into one item. Besides, they help you shield your eyes from dangerous UV radiation during a sunny day, and, of course, express your temperament. But to select the proper pair, it is not very simple. There are some types which one has to look at before deciding on the design to buy, these are face shapes. Time to discover how to select appropriate sunglasses for the shape of your face and why it is worth choosing sunglasses for men.
Understanding Your Face Shape
It is crucial to determine your face shape before you choose your glasses, especially sunglasses. Generally, face shapes fall into five categories:
Oval Face: Aharbal proportions and just slightly curved outlines.
Round Face: Sizable lateral cheeks with the cross-sectional shape of circles.
Square Face: Big foreheads, prominent cheek-bones and sharp jaws.
Heart-Shaped Face: A broader and exhibited one above the eyebrow line and a less broad or relatively narrow one below the line of the jaw.
Diamond Face: Narrow forehead and jaws wide cheekbones.
Sunglasses are worn in different styles depending on the face shape, so every face shape has its perfect eyeshadow.
Best Sunglasses for Each Face Shape
1. Oval Face
Good news! If you have an oval shaped face most shades will look good on you. You have fairly fat numbers which enable you to adapt various techniques at various occasions.
Go for: Squares, round and unusual shapes, or oversized ‘aviators’ and journeyman styles.
Avoid: Large frames — they may overshadow your features.
2. Round Face
If your face is round, the goal is to add definition and length to your features. Angular styles work best to create balance.
Go for: Square or rectangular frames.
Avoid: Circular frames, as they can make your face appear rounder.
3. Square Face
Square faces have strong, angular features, so curved frames can soften the look.
Go for: Round or oval frames.
Avoid: Boxy or square frames, which may exaggerate the angles.
4. Heart-Shaped Face
With a heart-shaped face, you want to balance a wider forehead and a narrower chin. Light, thin frames are perfect.
Go for: Aviators or cat-eye frames.
Avoid: Heavy or oversized frames that emphasize the forehead.
Why Quality Matters
Cup shape is very important when choosing the best cups but quality should also be considered. Sunglasses are not only fashionable accessories but they serve to minimize the effects of ultraviolet radiation on the eyes and so minimize the strain and potential long term effects on the eyes. Of course, it is wiser to buy the best lenses you can afford with UV features for the safety of your eyes.

Knight Horse Eyewear: Do You Prefer Polarized Sunglasses or Regular Tinted Ones? Why?
Introduction
Sunglasses are more than just a fashion statement—they protect your eyes, enhance your vision, and add a stylish touch to your outfit. But when choosing the right pair, you may find yourself debating: Should I go for polarized sunglasses for men or regular tinted ones?
With Knight Horse Eyewear, you have access to a premium range of both polarized and regular tinted sunglasses, offering exceptional quality, durability, and style. But which one is the better choice for you? Let’s break it down.
Understanding Polarized vs. Regular Tinted Sunglasses
1. What Are Polarized Sunglasses?
Polarized sunglasses come with a special filter that blocks intense glare from reflective surfaces like water, roads, and glass. They are particularly useful for:
✔ Reducing glare – Perfect for driving, fishing, and outdoor sports. ✔ Enhancing visual clarity – Colors appear sharper and more defined. ✔ Reducing eye strain – Prevents squinting and discomfort in bright sunlight.
💡 Best for: People who drive frequently, spend time near water, or engage in outdoor activities.
2. What Are Regular Tinted Sunglasses?
Regular tinted sunglasses have colored lenses that reduce brightness but do not eliminate glare. They are ideal for:
✔ Fashion-forward styling – Available in multiple colors and gradient lenses. ✔ Casual everyday wear – Great for city life and social events. ✔ Budget-friendly options – More affordable than polarized sunglasses.
💡 Best for: Those looking for stylish eyewear that provides basic sun protection.
