I always thought E rated fics were about anything that is, well, explicit; meaning they didn’t always have to be sexual? but like I’ve seen some people claim E rated fics are for smut only, and no matter how violent/gory your work is, if it’s not smut then it should only be rated Mature instead of Explicit?

so… I always imagine a whump scenario every night when I’m in my bed, where my most favorite blorbo is the whumpee and my other blorbo is the caretaker (hospital/medical whump being my favorite, where the whumpee is being taken care of after a highly traumatic event), it’s always been like this ever since I was at a very young age and it hasn’t changed (except the whumpee and the caretaker, depends on who my current blorbos/comfort characters are). I know a lot of people in the whump community do this too.

but thing is… if the scenario in my head gets intense enough / if I’m able to get my mind to be very emotionally invested in that scenario I create, sometimes I actually cry imagining myself in the whumpee’s shoes. no, I’m not “sad” and I’m not “scared” and it’s not because I feel super bad for the whumpee. it’s that I am that emotionally invested that tears just reflexively fall down. I’m not outright loudly sobbing, but yeah, sometimes there are tears involved. and I never see it as a bad or a concerning thing regarding my mental health, because every time I make myself cry creating a whump scenario in my head, I always get this sense of euphoria afterwards, and it actually helps me sleep better.

I don’t know if this is “normal” or if it also happens to other people within the whump community? so I guess I’m going to make a poll about the matter.

Ok, since my parents keep thinking I’m a freak when I tell them about this,

I’m talking about the squelching thing when the liquid enters. It doesn’t happen consistently or at the same intensity, and I can’t see any correlation between this happening and the vaccine im getting or on what arm they’re doing it (However this could absolutely be part of it, I only say this because I try to always have it done on my right arm). If anyone knows why this happens, please tell me I’d greatly appreciate it

Oh yeah, like, all the ones in the poll are pretty shitty too like -

'I see you not reblogging this' No you don't. Because I haven't done it. And I'm not going to because in general this is a shitty thing to do, but also I know some of the people following my blog have psychosis, and the idea of someone always watching them could really fuck them up, y'know? Reblogging your post is not worth potentially fucking with a friend's brain.

'Reblogs > likes! Likes do nothing!' This isn't one I will avoid interacting with, but like... Likes do do a thing. And the tumblr interaction thing is less skewed away from reblogs than most other social media platforms. And yeah reblogs do boost interaction, which is nice if you made something, though I maintain that if people don't interact it's like... Not the biggest deal. Create for you (or a client), not to compete for an audience. You'll be happier doing that.

'Reblog for a bigger sample size!' I mean... Yeah. Also not one I'll avoid interaction due to but it's... It's what it does. And if you said 'Hey I need a reasonable number of responses, so reblogs would be appreciated' that's just... So much nicer? It's better to request things instead of demand them? Makes you seem like a nicer person in general.

Easy to avoid reblogging, will do so unless there's an addition after which is important, but mostly you can just reblog from the previous addition fine.

'Louder for the people in the back!' Was kinda funny at first, like pretending Tumblr's some sort of lecture theatre thing, but just... Became so annoying. And it adds nothing to the post. Just reblog it, please.
