We, the undersigned, come together as creatives and artists, recognising the immense power held within each voice, especially those often underrepresented in our society.Ā
Art and creativity shapes and reflects the diverse experiences of our communities. Itās vital that politics does too, and that everyoneās voice is heard in our democracy.Ā
But in Britain today, as many as 8 million people are not registered to voteĀ at their current address. Turnout of younger voters has been falling considerably.Ā New rules requiring photo ID risk excluding hundreds of thousandsĀ of citizens, and disproportionately affecting poorer people, those with disabilities and people from minority ethnic backgrounds.
We, the undersigned, stand united in our belief that participation in elections is not just a right, but a profound responsibilityāone that should extend to everyone, at the heart of a vibrant democracy.Ā
That is why we urge you to join us in registering to vote for the upcoming local elections before the deadline of 23:59 on Tuesday 16 April, at https://qrco.de/giveanx. Remember, you are also eligible to register if you are a qualifying EU or Commonwealth citizen.Ā
We join hands with the young people leading the Give an X campaign in emphasising the importance of young people shaping the future, and we urge each and every citizen to claim their seat at the table.
Voting is not just casting a ballot; it is narrating the stories of our communities and painting a vision of a better tomorrow. In the face of huge challenges nationally and globally, that has never been more important.
Letās all of us write the next chapter together. We Give an X ā will you?

Illustrator Research:
Feifei Ruan
I think this illustrators work is okay, the colour palette is strange and doesn't really appeal to me. I believe is was created digitally due to the clean line work. It's very different stylistically compared against my own work. It's not very realistic, nor would I describe it as a cartoon.
Rebecca Hendin
I think the drawing is fine. The art style feels quite bland and plain. Like something you would see on a banks website.
Cosmo Mulford
The monkey looks cool, but I do not like the colour scheme.
Javier Medellin Puyou
I think the subject is cool but I dislike the colours. They just don't appeal to me.
Anastasia Beltyukova
These don't look good at all. The simplistic art looks like a children's picture book.

I looked on a website with 10 illustrators for inspiration on what the style for this project would be like. And unfortunately I didnāt really like any of them and I didnāt really find the page useful. However thereās a couple of artists like Tim Lord I strongly disliked. For me I think itās just to much lines and Iām a big fan of colour although itās implemented an idea in my head surrounding colour. His work is just black and white lined which has made me consider perhaps I should go a completely new direction and try drawing without colour perhaps. I also felt a strong distaste to the work of Rebecca Hendin who has quite a simplistic style. Looking at her style reminds me more of a scrapbook than an art piece but thatās my own interpretation of it.

āWriting is my way of communicating with a world to which, in a very real sense, I feel I do not quite belong. I wish very much to be understood, but I donāt expect to be. Writing is the message I seal in the bottle and cast into the sea.ā
āCertainly, one reason for writing is that I have a curious mind. I like to see and explore the implications of ideasāmine and othersā. I like to be logical, to pursue the ramifications of a thought. I am deeply involved in the world of feeling, intuition, nonverbal as well as verbal communication, but I also enjoy thinking and writing about that world. Conceptualizing the world clarifies its meaning for me.ā
