iPhone 15 Series Set to Integrate Built-in Support for Apple Vision Pro Headset
Rumors have been swirling about the upcoming iPhone 15 series, and the latest reports suggest that these new iPhones will feature built-in support for Apple's cutting-edge Vision Pro headset. Apple enthusiasts can expect the release of a lineup comprising the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the rumored iPhone 15 Ultra in September. These speculations come from none other than the well-regarded Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, who has an impressive track record when it comes to predicting Apple's future moves.
Tumblr media
Seamless Integration: iPhone 15 Series to Enhance User Experience with Apple Vision Pro Headset
According to Kuo, Apple has ambitious plans to integrate the iPhone into the Vision Pro ecosystem, and this integration will commence with the iPhone 15 series. As part of this development, Apple intends to upgrade the ultrawideband (UWB) chip found in the iPhone 15 series to support Vision Pro. Since the launch of the iPhone 11, Apple has been utilizing the U1 ultrawideband chip in its devices. This chip is also present in other Apple products, including AirTag, Apple Watch Series 6 and later models, AirPods Pro charging case, and more. By transitioning to a 7nm fabrication process for the iPhone 15 series, Apple aims to reduce power consumption while enhancing overall performance. For those unfamiliar with the capabilities of the Apple U1 chip, it enables features such as Find My, AirDrop, Handoff, and Precision Finding. With an enhanced UWB chip in the iPhone 15 series, the reliability and performance of these features will be further improved, enabling seamless compatibility with the Vision Pro headset. This integration will facilitate effortless interaction between Apple's highly advanced wearable and its other products. Critics may argue that the Apple Vision Pro headset is prohibitively expensive for the average consumer, rendering the integration unnecessary. However, recent rumors suggest that Apple is also working on a more affordable mixed-reality headset, potentially named Apple Vision. The news of Apple adding support for the headset indicates that the Apple Vision may indeed become a reality. To ensure cost-effectiveness, the Apple Vision is rumored to feature lower-resolution displays, older processors, fewer sensors, and fewer cameras. This approach will help keep the price within a reasonable range. The Apple Vision Pro, on the other hand, is slated for release in 2024 with a price tag of $3,499 (~Rs 2,88,000). It boasts impressive features, including two micro OLED displays with a combined resolution of 23 million pixels, Spatial Computing, EyeSight, an M2 processor, a custom media R1 processor, and much more. At present, specific details regarding the exact specifications of the Vision Pro headset and the iPhone 15 series remain scarce. However, with the release date drawing near, more information is expected to surface in the coming days. Apple enthusiasts and tech enthusiasts alike eagerly await the unveiling of these groundbreaking products, which promise to deliver an exceptional user experience and push the boundaries of innovation in the technology realm. 1) It doesn’t fit with GRRM’s track record to introduce something as monumental as this, let alone so late in the game, and have it be what it says on the tin. For Aegon to actually be Elia and Rhaegar’s son who miraculously appears at the 11th hour to save the day doesn’t fit at all. Also, unfortunately, GRRM’s presentation of his characters of color is absolutely abysmal. While he debunked the theory of Dany blowing up the Water Gardens (THANK GOD), that doesn’t mean he’s going to magically treat Dorne how it deserves to be treated. A lot of the “evidence” I’ve seen about Aegon being real hinges on GRRM actually doing right by his characters of color and their associated storylines, which is … not likely.
2) The Golden Company was founded by Bittersteel, the #1 Blackfyre supporter who kept trying to make the Blackfyre cause succeed even long after Daemon was dead. The GC has been faithfully pro-Blackfyre ever since, and was even led by a Blackfyre, Maelys, in the Fifth Rebellion as well, which was not all that long ago.
3) The GC has never broken a contract before — in fact, their words have been “as good as gold” since the very beginning when Bittersteel founded it — so why would they now? They would only break a contract for blood (“some contracts are writ in ink, and some in blood”), for a Blackfyre. They broke the contract so they can help put Aegon on the throne and finally complete what Daemon and Bittersteel began.
4) The GC met with Viserys and Dany and laughed them out of the room. Why would they then be all gung-ho for a different Targaryen? Viserys wasn’t even a madman or pathetic when he met with them (Dany was still “a little girl”), Robert had only recently gotten the throne and therefore it was at its most vulnerable, and Viserys was well-known in Westeros as the Targaryen heir. If they were going to support a Targaryen, it would have been Viserys. Or Daenerys. Yet they didn’t. So why support Viserys’s alleged nephew instead? They would only do so because the Targaryen was only nominally one, in reality a Blackfyre.
5) Illyrio specifically says the Blackfyres are extinct in the male line, meaning they are still around, only through the female line, such as Illyrio’s late wife Serra. Aegon being Illyrio and Serra’s son would explain Illyrio’s fondness for the boy, why he’s so sad to see him go, and why he’s so invested in putting a “Targaryen” on the throne. Additionally, he found Serra as a sex slave in a Lysene brothel — quite a long ways down from the favored son of a Targaryen king. It would make sense for Illyrio, who loved her deeply, to in her memory restore what was “stolen” from her family.
6) Illyrio has a trunk full of children’s clothes, despite the fact that he’s supposed to be childless. Good clothes, too. (Those clothes are also blue, the color Aegon dyes his hair. Maybe a coincidence, maybe not.)
7) JonCon notes that Rhaegar’s eyes were “a deep purple, darker than this boy’s,” implying to us the reader that Aegon is not Rhaegar’s. It’s also a hint that JonCon has suspicions that Aegon is not the real deal but is in denial, because if Aegon isn’t real, then that means Rhaegar really is lost to him forever and he can do nothing to avenge him.
8) I’ve seen the argument for “sun’s son” being Aegon but it doesn’t make sense. Asha is called the kraken’s daughter, for one, despite being a Greyjoy in her own right, so yes, it tracks that Quentyn can be called the “sun’s son” despite being a “sun” himself (and it just has better rhythm). Plus, if he weren’t the “sun’s son,” how would he instead be the “mummer’s dragon”? He’s not a dragon, he’s not a fake, nor is he being controlled by a mummer, whereas that fits for Aegon. And in Dany’s HOTU vision, there’s a cloth dragon swaying on poles above a cheering crowd — how would Quentyn fit that either (especially since he’s dead)? But Aegon would. This is also in the same passage as “slayer of lies,” mind you. Aegon is the lie to be slain. The other people in the prophecy are pretty clear as to their identities, so why would “sun’s sun” and “mummer’s dragon” be riddles?
9) The Blackfyres and their rebellions have been developed more and more through the years, including an entire Dunk and Egg book about the second one. Would be a bit odd to completely drop that thread, no? The Third Rebellion didn’t even happen until late in Aerys I’s reign, so it’s not like the Blackfyres will play a central role any time soon in D&E. In the main series, however, they would. Plus, GRRM wrote the D&E book about the Second Rebellion while he was also writing ADWD, and it’s in ADWD that history lessons about the Blackfyres are repeatedly brought up.
10) The parallel between Aegon and Jon. Jon is a real secret Targaryen raised without knowing his true identity, whereas Aegon is a fake secret Targaryen raised without knowing his true identity.
11) There’s plenty of the “human heart in conflict with itself” that GRRM loves with him being fake. Dany gets another family member, the son of her beloved brother Rhaegar — only to find out Aegon’s a fake. JonCon raises a child for over a decade, the son of his beloved Rhaegar, redemption for losing at Stoney Sept — only to find out Aegon’s a fake. Dorne (Doran specifically) gets a piece of their beloved Elia back — only to find out Aegon’s a fake. Aegon himself has believed his whole life that he’s Elia and Rhaegar’s son, the heir to the throne, has gone through many hardships to get where he is — only to find out he’s been lied to since day one. Those are all very real, very poignant beats.
12a) The supposition that Elia would save her son but not her daughter — Dornish Elia, who would value her daughter just as much as her son — is nonsensical to me. I CANNOT get behind that one bit. Maybe I can justify Elia being willing to sacrifice someone else’s innocent baby if it meant saving her own (though that’s a horrible and heartless thing to do), but I CANNOT see a justification for her saving Aegon yet not Rhaenys.
Moreover, if the baby weren’t Aegon, why would Elia be so willing to die for it? If it weren’t hers, if she had been pragmatic/cold enough to trade her baby for someone else’s, why on EARTH would she not have left that baby in the nursery and gone with Rhaenys, her actual child? The men Tywin sent had a reputation even back then and had scaled the walls of Maegor’s Holdfast. Elia would be dumb as a bag of bricks to think they would spare “her” son and Rhaenys, or possibly even herself. If they were to magically spare “Aegon,” great! Everyone’s happy (except Tywin). But why would Elia take that risk? No. She would only tell Rhaenys to run away yet stay with Aegon because he was her child and she had no other choice.
12b) If Elia switched the babies, then why don’t the Martells know anything about it? They were involved in a Targaryen restoration, Oberyn even went to Essos to sign the betrothal pact between Arianne and Viserys. Yet none of them know that their nephew is alive? If Elia really did take the pains to switch the babies for her son’s safety, why would she not have involved her family? At the very least, by having whoever she sent Aegon with even just hint to her family that he’s alive? But they know nothing. Zilch. They put their eggs in Viserys’s basket, then Dany’s, who are at best Elia-adjacent.
12c) Who would even be able to do such a thing as switch out the babies without a soul being the wiser? Varys, probably, but there is no way in hell Elia would entrust her son to him. Far beyond simply being a shady person in general who is out for himself and himself alone, he was the one who purposefully whispered in Aerys’s ear about invented conspiracies and betrayals. He made Aerys more paranoid, more dangerous. To the detriment of Rhaegar, Elia, their children, and the realm at large. Varys is the entire reason Aerys went to the Tourney at Harrenhal in the first place, because he convinced him that Rhaegar convened the tourney to meet with a bunch of lords in order to depose Aerys. Varys directly and gleefully contributed to Aerys’s further descent into tyranny.
Elia wouldn’t have trusted Varys as far as she could throw him, certainly not with something as precious as her child, not even if she were desperate. Even if she did trust him for some insane reason, how is Varys so powerful as to find a lookalike for Aegon but not for Rhaenys? Surely it’s easier to find a black-haired, brown-eyed toddler than a silver-haired, purple-eyed baby, no? Or why couldn’t he direct Elia to one of the many secret passageways so she could escape with the kids rather than this convoluted baby swap? Or any number of other things? At every turn, Aegon (but not Rhaenys!) being spirited away by anyone, most especially Varys, doesn’t hold up. Hell, why would Varys help Elia? What does he have to gain by not only helping her but egregiously undermining Aerys? Aerys whose ear he’s been meticulously whispering into, Aerys who’s the only reason Varys is at court and has power at all? Agreeing to and orchestrating the baby swap runs counter to everything we know about him.
13) Aegon being real means Elia and Dorne are essentially dealt two blows. We and they spend all this time believing her son was brutally murdered in King’s Landing. But then, psych! He’s actually alive! They get their hopes up, the wound is opened all over again, only for him to … be brutally murdered in King’s Landing. (Or possibly elsewhere, but likely KL.) Why is that better? What would be the point of Aegon being Elia and Rhaegar’s son if he’s just going to die like his “cover story” says he did? Actually, they’d be dealt three blows, really, given that Quentyn died as well in the pursuit of Targaryen restoration. Things are going to be painful enough without having Aegon be the real Aegon.
14) JonCon didn’t come to be Aegon’s caretaker until Aegon was 5. In other words, he wouldn’t recognize whether or not this Aegon is the one he saw as a baby. But because he’s so personally invested in Aegon being the real deal, he doesn’t question it too much. The result is that JonCon, who is well-known to have been close to Rhaegar and thus Elia (proximally, not emotionally of course, what with him hating her and all), him caring for the boy lends viability to the story. Which we see in action by Doran believing, or at least being willing to listen to, JonCon’s letter.
15) The Toynes have a very negative history with the Targaryens (and Barristan) but a positive one with the Blackfyres. Would it not make more sense for Myles Toyne to align himself with a Blackfyre rather than a Targaryen? Myles, who was the one who put his seal to the secret pact?
16a) It’s been 84 years. Even R+L=J, which is as much of a sure thing as you can possibly get, is disputed by some in the fandom. Some people believe Ashara Dayne is alive, and a subset of those go so far as to say she’s Jyana Reed. Some people have some theory about the Boltons being vampires. Like. It has been so long since the last book that things that would have been surprises or interesting twists have been examined to death, so by now they seem “too obvious.” Ten years ago, Aegon being real would undoubtedly have been a much more believed thing, because we’d have just recently been told it. But now? There’s been ample time to parse everything out and to determine that no, he likely isn’t real. Same for R+L=J. Ten years ago, or longer, Jon being revealed to be the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna would have been a bombshell. But now? It’s obvious as fuck. So to circle back around to “Yep, Aegon is real!” ignores the fact that it’s supposed to be a smokescreen and a twist.
16b) Related to this is GRRM’s own words. There’s an SSM where he’s asked whether Rhaenys and Aegon are really dead. He affirms that Rhaenys is but hedges for Aegon. Why? Not because he’s saying Aegon is real, but because he’s introducing the Young Griff arc. If he were to say, “Aegon’s definitely dead, too,” or “Aegon’s definitely alive,” that would completely spoil the tension and truth/untruth of the storyline.
Do I know that Aegon’s a fake? Obviously not, since we don’t have the books. But the evidence points to it being extremely unlikely that he’s the real deal. Like I also said, however, I’m not sure it really matters whether he is or not. So far as he knows, he’s truly Elia and Rhaegar’s son. His name is Aegon, he was raised to be a king, he seems to be quite a decent young man (people who cite him tipping over the cyvasse board can suck it), he will probably ride a dragon at some point, and so on. At the end of the day, who he’s biologically related to doesn’t seem super relevant.

The Realme 8 5G shows the exciting future of cheap 5G phones https://ift.tt/2SJV6MJ
The Realme 8 5G, as the name suggests, has a 5G modem inside ready to connect you to the fastest mobile data connection available, now or in the future. Yet the phone costs just 200 British pounds, or about $280 at today’s currency conversion rate, meaning that 5G is no longer only found on pricey mid- and high-specification phones.
But cheap phones can also be substandard, especially when an “expensive” feature like 5G gets slotted in to grab some headlines. The Realme 8 5G is cheap, but does it feel like it’s cheap?
MediaTek lends a hand
How does Realme offer a phone with 5G for such a low price? One of the reasons is the phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, rather than a Qualcomm chip seen in mid-range smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G and the Google Pixel 4a 5G. MediaTek has long been committed to making affordable 5G-capable mobile processors, but the resulting hardware doesn’t always get a wide international release, but that will change with the Realme 8 5G, as it’ll be out in Europe and the U.K. in May.
Tumblr media
Andy Boxall/Digital Trends
MediaTek isn’t as well-known as Qualcomm, but at the end of 2020 data from Counterpoint Research showed it was the world’s biggest smartphone chip maker, making it a definite sleeping giant. Qualcomm may have been edged out overall, but it still leads the way in 5G chips, an area MediaTek is making progress in to avoid missing the boat like it did with 4G mobile chipsets. The Dimensity 700, just one of its many 5G chips, launched in November 2020 and released in early April 2021, making the Realme 8 5G one of the first phones to use it.
Performance
The MediaTek Dimensity 700 is a 2.2GHz octa-core chip based on ARM Cortex A76 and ARM Cortex A76 cores, and built on a 7nm process. It’s a competitor to chips from Qualcomm like the Snapdragon 730G. In the Realme 8 5G it’s paired with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, with the 6GB/128GB model priced a little higher at 250 pounds/$354.
Tumblr media
Andy Boxall/Digital Trends
There are always concerns a cheap phone will be incapable of playing intensive, power-hungry games, but provided your expectations are kept in check the Realme 8 5G copes very well. I played extended sessions of Asphalt 9: Legends and Genshin Impact on the Realme 8 5G, and with Realme’s Game Space gaming mode switched to Pro Gamer mode, which ups the CPU and GPU performance, both games were perfectly playable.
When things get busy in Asphalt 9: Legends there is some slowdown and the frame rate is definitely affected, but it doesn’t happen all the time, and will be dependent on how fast your car of choice is. In Genshin Impact there’s noticeable slowdown when panning around your surroundings, and in some of the cut scenes, but in normal small-scale fights and exploration, it’s fine.
Neither game looks nor plays with the same level of smoothness, polish, or speed they do on flagship phones, but that’s to be expected. But this doesn’t mean you can’t play them at all. The Dimensity 700 chip proves to be a very capable chip for casual gamers who don’t want to spend thousands on a new phone.
Does it feel cheap?
The Dimensity 700 chip helps the Realme 8 5G play two of the more intensive mobile games available, and adds 5G into the mix to provide the fastest mobile connection right now for not a lot of money, or to future proof the phone. But how does the rest of the phone stack up? It’s one of the cheapest phones I’ve used in a while, and because the last was the Nokia 5.4, a phone I wasn’t impressed with at all, my expectations were fairly low.
Tumblr media
Andy Boxall/Digital Trends
Happily, it’s much, much better than the Nokia 5.4 in most areas, and my low expectations were unfounded. The 6.5-inch screen has a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling, plus a maximum 600 nits brightness. At full brightness, I can see it outdoors in moderate sunlight and the viewing angles are decent, so I can still see the viewfinder when taking photos.
Watching video is pleasant. Carfection’s review of the BMW 128ti is sharp, but the screen lacks the super contrast and detail in the shadows you get with a top AMOLED screen. It’s let down more by the sound, which is delivered through a single speaker on the bottom of the phone and is easily covered by your hand. It’s not very bassy, and sounds harsh at high volume.
Tumblr media
Andy Boxall/Digital Trends
The design is ordinary, but not ugly. It’s made of plastic and weighs 186 grams, and at 8.5mm thick it’s sized sensibly enough to still be pocketable. The three-camera module’s look has cleverly been balanced out with a fourth circle that says “AI,” and there’s none of the crazy “Dare to Leap” branding splashed across it like the Realme 8 Pro, giving it a more mature, understated style. It does remind me of some recent Vivo phones though, something that’s not surprising seeing as both brands are part of the BBK Electronics family along with Oppo and to a lesser extent, OnePlus.
Is the camera cheap?
The main camera has 48-megapixels and it’s accompanied by a monochrome camera and a macro camera. You can’t use the monochrome camera on its own, but you can take macro shots at about 4-centimeter distances if you want. You won’t feel the need, as, like all cameras of its type, the results are disappointing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That leaves the main camera. It’s decent and takes well-balanced, shareable photos with plenty of color and good dynamic range. The HDR effect means you won’t need to edit them before sharing either. However, Realme doesn’t do itself any favors by adding a 2x and a 5x zoom option to the camera app, which suggests functionality the camera doesn’t actually have, and these modes just crop the shot and produce poor photos.
Added to all this is a 5,000mAh battery, a MicroSD card slot, a fingerprint sensor in the power button, and realme UI 2.0 software over Android 11. That’s a good all-round specification that doesn’t scream “money saving,” and as I’ve found, still delivers the goods. The Realme 8 5G is cheap, but very rarely during my time using it did it feel cheap, and that’s a very good position to be in. If this is the future of affordable 5G phones, then Realme has set the bar pretty high by mixing desirable specs with solid usability in most situations, and for the most part, avoiding pointless gimmicks.
Realme doesn’t sell its phones in the U.S., but once launched in the U.K. an import wouldn’t be difficult. The Realme 8 5G will be released in May for 200 British pounds/$283, but an early offer could see you grab one for 180 pounds/$255, making it even more tempting. It’s not often a cheap phone comes out with minimal compromises, but with help from MediaTek the Realme 8 5G comes close to achieving that goal, and it’s an exciting start to the era of really cheap 5G phones.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Review
New Post has been published on https://magzoso.com/tech/redmi-note-9-pro-review/
Redmi Note 9 Pro Review
Tumblr media
The Redmi Note 9 Pro has just been launched in India, and its starting price of Rs. 12,999 is surprisingly low because Xiaomi has made a few very interesting decisions in terms of positioning and features. It isn’t easy to stay ahead of the game, and the Redmi Note 9 Pro goes up against the formidable Realme 6 and Samsung M30s. Longtime fans of the series might be surprised at how Xiaomi has actually held back a little with this model, since expectations are always when a new generation of Redmi Note smartphones is announced.
Previous models, most notably the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Review), have been defined by their positioning above the standard Redmi series and the aspirational features they offer. While prices are still very reasonable, Xiaomi has made a habit of delivering things that people will be tempted to spend a little more money on, such large displays, high-capacity batteries, multiple cameras, premium styling, and class-leading specifications.
The tradeoff for that new low price is that the Redmi Note 9 Pro does not offer many of today’s most buzzworthy features – a 90Hz display, extremely fast charging, and high-resolution cameras. This phone is more about core specifications and the overall usage experience. In an interesting shuffle, though, some of these features can be found in a new higher-tier device, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
So what’s in a name? Does this repositioning mean that the Redmi Note 9 Pro is a disappointment, or can it live up to its illustrious predecessors’ standards? Let’s find out.
  Redmi Note 9 Pro design
By any standard, the Redmi Note 9 Pro is a bulky phone. At 8.8mm thick and 209g in weight, many people will find this device bulky and unwieldy. That’s where Xiaomi’s new ‘Aura Balance’ design philosophy comes in – the company says that weight is distributed perfectly evenly and the exterior design is symmetrical to make usage more comfortable. We found one-handed use difficult but not impossible.
In terms of looks, Xiaomi has gone with three relatively simple colours – Interstellar Black, Glacier White, and Aurora Blue. You won’t find any graidents or patterns here, though the appearance is anything but subtle. Our Aurora Blue unit was bright and vibrant, with a very shiny, reflective rear panel. You’ll see light play across the surface when using this phone, giving the feeling of depth. Thankfully the rear panel isn’t too slippery, but it does pick up fingerprints as soon as you touch it.
Xiaomi has come up with a distinctive new camera bump design which plays into the theme of symmetry. Even the flash is centred below the four camera lenses. This is a nice design touch that will set the Redmi Note 9 series apart and make this phone and its siblings recognisable. The camera module does stick out quite a bit though.
The front and rear of the Redmi Note 9 Pro are both made using Gorilla Glass 5, while the frame is polycarbonate. The most distinctive feature on the front is of course the new embedded selfie camera, which is centred at the top of the screen. It is somewhat distracting, and the screen’s backlighting is a little uneven around it. Interestingly, we noted that the picture of the Redmi Note 9 Pro on the cover of its box seems to show a smaller hole and narrow chin than the device actually has. That said, the phone still looks modern and definitely defies expectations for its price category.
Tumblr media
The rear is made of Gorilla Glass 5 and is very reflective
The next interesting design touch is the side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into the power button. This sits in a slight recess on the right of the phone which lined up fairly well with the thumb of our right hand. You’ll find this inconvenient if you’re left-handed, and we’d suggest registering multiple fingers so you can unlock this phone whether it’s in your hand or lying on a table.
Xiaomi says that this approach was chosen because it’s quicker than an in-display sensor and more convenient than having one on the back, plus it doesn’t disrupt the design of the rear panel. This is definitely a trend in the budget segment right now, though. We also have to note that the choice of an LCD screen rather than AMOLED plays into how an in-display sensor can be implemented.
The volume buttons are placed awkwardly above the sensor, and aren’t easy to reach while on a call. On the left, there’s a tray with slots for two Nano-SIMs and a microSD card. Xiaomi’s trademark infrared emitter is on the top, and can be used to control several home appliances. There’s the usual USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio socket, and speaker on the bottom. Many people will be happy to note that there is in fact a notification and charging LED hidden in the earpiece.
Xiaomi has done well in terms of design, and the Redmi Note 9 Pro does feel fresh without actually changing too much for a phone in this segment. There’s also a P2i coating for splash resistance, though of course no proper waterproofing.
Tumblr media
The fingerprint sensor is embedded into the power button on the right
Redmi Note 9 Pro specifications and software
Redmi Note series phones typically have impressive specifications, and Xiaomi has gone with a larger screen and battery than ever before. You get a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400-pixel) screen which has a tall aspect ratio to accommodate the front camera. What might surprise many fans who follow current trends, because it is a standard 60Hz panel and doesn’t have a 90Hz refresh rate like some other recently launched devices, most notably the Realme 6 (Review).
Xiaomi claims that there aren’t many apps that take advantage of a high refresh rate, people can’t really tell the difference, it isn’t worth the battery life tradeoff, and the Snapdragon 720G SoC isn’t powerful enough. We don’t necessarily agree with all these points, but we do have to remember that some compromises are to be expected at Rs. 12,999.
The 5020mAh battery is also interesting. Xiaomi claims 29 hours of VoLTE calling and 14 hours of gaming per charge. You get an 18W charger in the box – faster charging is reserved for the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
The Snapdragon 720G is a modern SoC with two high-performance 2.3GHz cores and six power-efficient 1.8GHz cores, all manufactured on an 8nm process which is said to result in greater power efficiency and lower heat dissipation. Buyers will note that the Redmi Note 8 Pro’s support for Amazon’s Alexa alongside Google Assistant has been dropped – Xiaomi tells us that this relied on specific capabilities of the MediaTek processor used for the previous model.
Tumblr media
There’s an IR emitter on the top, and the speaker, Type-C, and 3.5mm ports on the bottom
Xiaomi has noted that this is the first time we’re seeing a 7xx-series Snapdragon processor in a Redmi Note series device at this price. It’s a predictable move considering the arms race manufacturers are in, but calls into question Qualcomm’s strategy of launching the 7xx-series as a premium tier to offset the downward migration of the 6xx-series.
You can get the Redmi Note 9 Pro with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for Rs. 12,999, or with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs. 15,999. It’s interesting to note that when the Redmi Note 8 Pro had launched six months ago, Xiaomi had highlighted how 6GB of RAM was the minimum amount on offer. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will give you 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage at Rs. 14,999, and is also the only option if you want to step up to 8GB. The fact that these two sibling models overlap might cause some confusion in the market.
Other highlights include NavIC support along with standard GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5, and all the standard sensors. Along with the 18W charger and USB Type-C cable, you get only a SIM eject tool and plastic case in the box along with this phone – the blue and white variants will ship with a clear case while the black one will get a smoky translucent one.
MIUI 11 runs on top of Android 10, and our review unit had the February security patch. Sadly, bloatware and promotional content remain parts of Xiaomi’s business strategy. The company does say that users can remove and/or disable some of these features but we did see lots of spammy notifications.
There’s no app drawer, but you do get some level of UI customisation. Swiping up on the homescreen launches the MI browser which also lets you search for installed apps. This is somewhat convenient but we wish we could reassign this shortcut. There’s a Dark Mode, downloadable UI themes, and Google’s Digital Wellbeing settings. You can clone apps and store sensitive data in a Second Space for privacy, and type quick replies to messages from within the notification popups for some apps.
Tumblr media
The rear camera cluster has an attention-grabbing design
Redmi Note 9 Pro performance and battery life
At this point, with the kind of hardware used at even the low end of the market, there isn’t much that can be said about everyday usage. The Redmi Note 9 Pro is more than powerful enough to handle anything from basic calls and messaging all the way up to heavy 3D gaming, with no trouble whatsoever. Multitasking was also smooth and trouble-free. If you’re used to a higher display refresh rate you might find that missing, but most people shouldn’t really mind – other than the feeling of missing out on something.
Ergonomically, this isn’t the easiest phone to use, as we’ve said. The large screen does work nicely for videos and games, but the size and placement of the camera bump make holding the Redmi Note 9 Pro in landscape while playing games just a little uncomfortable. Holding it up to take long calls could also get fatiguing. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face recognition were both quick and effective in our experience.
The screen is reasonably bright and crisp. Colours do look vibrant, and there are some adjustments in the Settings app if you want to play with them. We did find the camera hole a little distracting when watching videos full-screen. Some apps are designed to mask notches at the top of the screen with a black band, and these might need to be updated to account for the size and placement of camera holes like the one on this phone. We weren’t very impressed with the speaker though – sound was loud, but harsh and tinny.
As for benchmarks, there were no surprises. The Snapdragon 720G does offer class-leading performance for a budget phone. We saw scores of 279,978 in AnTuTu as well as 568 and 1,761 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests respectively. 3DMark gave us 3,665 points in its Slingshot Unlimited test, and GFXBench’s Manhattan 3.1 and Car Chase game simulations ran at 27fps and 15fps respectively.
PUBG Mobile defaulted to the High quality preset. We played a few rounds for about 20 minutes and found that the Redmi Note 9 Pro did get a little warm, contrary to Xiaomi’s claims. The phone never got too uncomfortable but we didn’t want to play for too much longer. Graphics were consistently smooth though, and gameplay was enjoyable. Asphalt 9: Legends didn’t give us any trouble either.
We were eager to test this phone’s battery. With ordinary use, we were very pleased to see the Redmi Note 9 Pro easily lasting through a full day and nearly half of the second day before needing a recharge. During this time we played some games, streamed video, and took lots of photos and videos. Our HD loop video test ran for 16 hours, 2 minutes which is good but not as great as we were expecting, considering that some competitors in this space can boast of scores that cross 20 hours.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro has slots for two Nano-SIMs and a microSD card
Redmi Note 9 Pro cameras
The squared-off camera bump on the rear might also surprise some Redmi Note series fans. The primary shooter has a 48-megapixel resolution and f/1.79 aperture, and uses the new Samsung Isocell GM2 sensor. You don’t get a 64-megapixel camera like the one on the Redmi Note 8 Pro or other recent value-segment phones. That’s primarily a result of the Redmi Note 9 Pro addressing a lower market tier with its lower prices – you do get a 64-megapixel camera with the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.
Next to it you’ll find an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, which is pretty standard for this price level. The 2-megapixel depth sensor in the lower row is also basic and commonplace. What is interesting is the fact that the macro camera has a 5-megapixel resolution, which should be a nice bump up from the barely-useful 2-megapixel ones we’ve seen in most phones of late.
Xiaomi boasts of an improved Night Mode, super phase detection autofocus, and a colour profile optimised for Indian tastes. Video can be recorded at 4K 30fps or 1080p at 60fps. 720p slow-mo recording goes up to 960fps. One of this phone’s primary target audiences is video content creators, especially TikTok users, so there’s a Short Video mode with a 15-second cutoff. You can also shoot video using the macro camera, or save RAW 8-bit footage for external processing.

The front camera has a 16-megapixel resolution, and once again the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max offers a step up to 32 megapixels. Slow-mo up to 120fps is possible as well. There’s AI beautification which is on by default.
The camera app is straightforward for the most part, but there are some quirks. For instance, you have to open a submenu to find the Macro camera icon. There are 0.6x, 1x and 2x zoom selectors right above the shutter button – the first two switch between the wide-angle and standard cameras, but the zoom is all digital. As usual, we had to manually disable Xiaomi’s advertising watermark on photos.

Redmi Note 9 Pro daytime camera samples: standard (above) and wide-angle (below)  (tap to see full size)
Starting with daytime photos, we found the primary camera to be reasonably good, but it doesn’t break any new ground in terms of quality or flexibility. Close-ups looked good and details were clear in foreground subjects. Distant objects were also well represented if there was adequate light and textures weren’t too complex. The wide-angle camera isn’t too bad, but quality definitely suffers. Despite promising distortion correction, there’s still some fairly obvious warping at the sides of frames.
The 5-megapixel macro camera does deliver much higher quality shots than we’ve seen from most other macro cameras, and the camera app makes it obvious when you’re holding the phone at the correct distance to lock focus. Many of our attempts still come out looking dull though, often with washed-out colours and poorly balanced exposures.

At night, we found the Redmi Note 9 Pro’s primary camera to be good if there was lots of artificial light around, otherwise details were lost. Low-light landscapes were unimpressive. The wide-angle camera delivered murky results, but we didn’t expect too much from it. Night mode was surprisingly ineffective – it did help balance dark scenes with bright lights that would otherwise just be overexposed blotches, but it didn’t do anything at all for shots of subjects in the dark, which other phones are capable of improving.
The front camera is fairly good in the daytime as well as at night, but we didn’t like the aggressive beautification which made faces look artificial. Details were good in the daytime as well as at night, and portrait shots had nicely blurred backgrounds.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Video shot at 1080p looked fine, with good stabilisation. Our only complaint was that our test footage was a little overexposed. At 4K, colours went completely out of whack and our sample shots had an overpowering, unnatural red tone. The shimmer effect was pretty bad at night when shooting at 1080p. The same situation was evident at night – 1080p footage was not usable if we were moving, but we managed to capture usable footage if we stood still.
Verdict
With over 100 million units sold, the Redmi Note 9 Pro has a huge legacy to live up to. For its price, the base variant is an excellent option, and raises the bar in terms of features and performance. However, this phone is more of an upgrade to the Redmi Note 8 (Review) than the Redmi Note 8 Pro (Review), as its name might suggest, and that’s going to be a little confusing for buyers.
We like the Redmi Note 9 Pro for its overall style, and it could easily stand next to full-priced flagships from five or six years ago. The specifications are very impressive and we had very few complaints when using this phone for day-to-day tasks as well as general entertainment. The primary camera is a letdown though, especially in low light. We also found this phone a bit too bulky for our liking.
Throughout this review, we’ve referenced the higher-end Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, because as it turns out, Xiaomi has interleaved the prices of its variants so that the first step up from the base Redmi Note 9 Pro priced at Rs. 12,999 is actually the sibling model. For Rs. 14,999, you get better front and rear cameras, more RAM, and faster charging. The Rs. 15,999 variant of the standard Redmi Note 9 Pro is priced even higher, only for more storage. However, you get the relatively poorer feature set, making this particular variant very hard to recommend. The lineup seems far more convoluted and confusing than it needs to be – and there’s now confirmation of a new Redmi Note 9S which might or might not come to India.
While it’s hard to see the value in the 6GB+128GB version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the 4GB+64GB version has been launched at an incredible price. We hope to see Xiaomi improve things on the camera front through software updates. If that happens, this phone could be very, very hard to beat.

If there's one thing we know for certain, it's that there is no shortage of lash-enhancing products setting up shop in the beauty industry. Between serums, primers, mascaras , falsies, and almost every other kind of elixir you can think of, people are obsessed with getting the long and fluttery lashes of their dreams. As with most things in the beauty realm, certain formulas are much better (not to mention safer) than others. If you've been wondering how to grow your eyelashes to their full potential, you're most certainly living in the right era, but some guidance as to the newest, best-selling, or top-rated serums can be helpful. (Not to scare you, but Amazon currently has 14 pages of offerings—eek!) Also worth noting? There is only one FDA-approved formula (ahem, prescription-grade Latisse ) consented to encourage lash growth. As for all the other tubes, combs, and potions, they're loaded with lots of amazing ingredients that can arm your lashes against breakage and damage. In other words, they can help make a sparse or dehydrated lash line healthier overall. If you've been wondering how to grow your eyelashes using the latest, greatest, best-selling formulas, you've come to the right place. Ahead, we're highlighting the top three eyelash serums from Amazon, Sephora, and Dermstore, including blurbs from their A+ reviews. Keep scrolling! Number of customer reviews: 503. Average rating: 4.5/5. Fortified with luxe botanicals and two pro-keratin peptides, this vegan eyelash serum is a top pick from Amazon's seriously overwhelming collection. Plus, you can also feel free to swipe it on your brows. "This stuff works great on my lashes," says Amazon customer Karen. "It took about six weeks to take effect, but my lashes are now long enough that they sometimes brush against my sunglasses." Number of customer reviews: 14,030. Average rating: 4.5/5. This fan-favorite lash serum is one of the most popular formulas living the dark depths of Amazon, and it's no wonder considering its impressive ingredient makeup. Think peptides, Panax ginseng extract, Swertia japonica extract, hyaluronic acid, and biotin to boot.  "Before trying Lavish Lash, I had tried another (much more expensive) product with 'meh' results," explains one Amazon reviewer. "I researched other options on Amazon and settled on this one. Good reviews, reasonable priced, why not...I've been using it for two months now and OMG...its legit. I look like I wear fake eyelashes, and I LOVE it! I have used it religiously every night before I go to bed and I could probably go down to one time every other night...but I'm kind of enjoying having ridiculously long lashes." Number of customer reviews: 2124. Average rating: 3.5/5. You can find this best-selling eyelash serum at all the best beauty retailers, from Amazon to Sephora to Ulta, and it consistently receives super-impressive ratings. It's enriched with vitamins, peptides, and amino acids and is said to encourage a longer- and thicker-looking flutter in as little as four to six months.  Here's what Amazon customer Kristin had to say: "This stuff is a miracle product. I rarely write reviews, but I really was compelled to because I LOVE this product. I started seeing results after two or three weeks, but now, after consistently using it daily for three months, I have eyelashes that look false or like extensions! I am beyond pleased. My eyelashes used to be short, sparse, and I was missing lashes on each corner of the eye. Not only did it make them thicker, but it also made them grow back in the corners. They are SO long my son told me today I may have to cut them at some point because they are almost touching my eyebrows. Lol" Um, adorable. Number of customer reviews: 187. Average rating: 4/5. FYI: This new eyelash serum from beloved skincare brand Peter Thomas Roth is already making waves within the industry. It's fortified with an 11% peptide complex with biotin in addition to a 10% conditioning complex and other ingredients like Tahitian plankton extract. Not to mention it's ophthalmologist-tested and free of icky things like sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehyde, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, and triclocarban. "I've really enjoyed using this product over the last few weeks and have definitely seen a difference in the thickness of my lashes," explains one Sephora reviewer. "The serum is easy to apply, and it works overnight. If you’re looking for a way to enhance your natural lashes without having to spend tons of money on extensions, this is a great product!" Number of customer reviews: 281. Average rating: 4.5/5. Milk Makeup is one of the coolest makeup-and-skincare brands in the biz right now, and its epic cannabis-infused line called Kush is top-rated proof. The newest addition? This epic brow-and-lash serum, which has hemp-derived cannabis seed extract, yes, but also quinoa and peptides for an extra dose of nourishment. It's brand new, but here's what people are saying on Sephora's website thus far: "I've been using it for about a week! I have sensitive eyes and no stinging or tearing! So far, the results are softer brow hairs and lashes that definitely feel conditioned! Would recommend if you’re looking for a product like this!" Number of customer reviews: 368. Average rating: 4/5. Lashfood makes some of the most well-known lash-enhancing formulas, and this serum, in particular, is one of the best if you've been wondering how to effortlessly grow and improve the health of your lashes. The serum features the brand's Phyto-Medic Complex alongside its Eyelash Enhancing System, which delivers nutrients directly to your lashes. It's also Ecocert-certified, dermatologist-tested and -approved, and vegan. One happy Sephora customer said, "Love this product! This product is great. It definitely made my lashes stronger, longer, fuller, and healthier. I started seeing a bit of a change after about two to three months of use, but I really, truly noticed a very significant change after many more months. I've now been using it for about a year, and my eyelashes are clearly longer and fuller—just overall healthier!" Number of customer reviews: 557. Average rating: 5/5. Brimming with lash-healthy ingredients like copper peptides, biotin, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and panthenol, Raid Lash is specifically formulated to improve the length, thickness, and volume of lashes while simultaneously guarding against unwanted damage and breakage. Plus, it's extra hydrating to enhance shine and softness. "This product works and seems to be more than half the price of similar products!" explains one Dermstore customer. "I use it every night on my eyelashes and now get frequent compliments on the length of my lashes. I've been using the product for several months now, and it took about three to four weeks to notice any difference. One tube lasts me about five to six weeks." Number of customer reviews: 81. Average rating: 5/5. Unfortunately, many eyelash serums can be irritating, and it's really one of those categories of beauty products that might take some trial and error. That said, this clinically tested serum from NeuLash is great for those wanting to better their lash line and is known for being less irritating. One of the less-expected superstar ingredients? Pumpkin seed extract. In fact, one ecstatic reviewer on Dermstore touted the formula as a "miracle product": "I had an unfortunate mishap with my eyelash curler five years ago and accidentally removed all of my lashes from the inner part (near my nose) to about a quarter of the way out along the lash line. I thought I’d have a 'bald' area on my eye forever, but then I found this product. It not only grew back my lashes (thank GOD!) but it gave me the longest and most beautiful lashes I’ve ever had. Will always repurchase!" Number of customer reviews: 3730. Average rating: 5/5. We like to think the perfect five-star rating, 3000 and counting reviews, and under-$50 price tag do all the talking for you, but for those wondering how to grow your eyelashes, listen up. The formula is non-irritating and chock-full of lash-lengthening ingredients like biotin, peptides, and panthenol. Plus, it's also great to swipe on sparse brows as well. "I can't get over how well this product actually works!" dotes one Dermstore customer. "After several weeks of regular use, I noticed my eyelashes were really getting longer! I felt like I was in a mascara ad. It was amazing! Highly recommend!" Up next, 14 (Actually) Effective Products for Hair Growth, According to Amazon Reviews

Exactly How to Earn Money on YouTube with Affiliate Advertising (part 2)
How Do You Incorporate Affiliates Normally into a YouTube Video clip?
I assume among the most convenient methods to do it is in fact when you're mosting likely to do a testimonial video clip. So if you're evaluating a particular item, I would link to that product so your customers can actually go purchase that product too, especially if it's something that you enjoy. That's probably the most convenient means to incorporate affiliate web links. As well as it's additionally a wonderful means to generate income from any type of video clip that's not sponsored. So whenever you have favorite points or your favorite items or evaluations, you can throw in an affiliate link to aid individuals recognize where to find the item you're talking about.
Where Do You Put the AI Affiliate Bots Hyperlinks?
And also you placed the associate web links in the description of the video clip?
Yep. Connect links listed below in the summary. You want to beware how many web links you place in the description due to the fact that YouTube suches as to keep people on YouTube.
Yeah. The concern from a Search Engine Optimization perspective is that YouTube, their goal is to maintain individuals on YouTube for as lengthy as feasible, seeing as much material as possible, involving with as numerous videos as feasible, seeing as several advertisements as feasible. Therefore if your video finishes the viewing session for a viewer, like they see your video clip, after that they click that link as well as most likely to that firm's web site and also get the item, that's great for you, but your video might potentially not execute. If every person who enjoys the video clip took you up on that offer, your video clip might potentially not carry out in addition to it or else might.
Yet that's kind of the equilibrium is you've reached balance like I'm establishing an audience, however I require to make it lasting. So in some cases it makes fantastic service sense for you to go ahead and use an associate. As well as other times you're like, you recognize what? Maybe not on this AI Affiliate Bots video clip because my major objective for this video is simply to obtain it to place really high.
I think you have to decide on in between earning money or involving an audience on each video that you do on YouTube.
What regarding Legal Disclaimers and also Those Sorts Of Things?
Have you had to do that? Just how does that job?
Yes. Well, it's a smart suggestion to put someplace in your summary that you might be utilizing associate links, sort of like your FDC disclosure, but it's kind of like an associate link disclosure. I think that's a clever point. Even though YouTube hasn't appear stating you need to do that, generally you need to just to be extremely, extremely secure.
As well as it develops count on with your visitors.
Yes. Your customers recognize what's going on. Various other disclosures, I believe that's it.
