next up is another one by mothy, this one doesn't have a good pv for some reason so here's a bad and inaccurate one from before anyone knew what was going on in any of mothy's songs, at least it has en subtitles, this is re:birthday by mothy ft kagamine len

I REALLY WANT TO PLAY RE:BIRTHDAY SONG RAAAAHHHH i had trouble getting my pirated copy to play... sniffles... kicks rocks.... aside from that i want wand of fortune to get localized 💭 also side kicks waahh i have a lot 😢 i keep up w pretty much all new releases but nothing rlly new caught my eye... hence the older game mentions lol

17. least favorite route

THIS IS SO HARD TBH... i didnt like yanagi cxm route like At All really... hes one of my least favorite charas in otoge Ever... bc of his own route. its just so nothingburger esp bc its the locked route 😭 like shiraishis route is ten BILLION times better for the narrative and yanagi was just so. meh.

but also the Worst bad ending ive ever experienced was in orlok piofiores route so i have a love hate relationship with it... 🚬

im actually not Too much of a hater abt route #tbh but its mainly that i find characters just Not for me you know... shrugs

Hi so while i was mia i played a l.o.t of otome games that were collecting dust hence I decided to draw my personal faves from each character trope lol

Visual novels are great fun!

Shinigami Kareshi is amazing =) There are two games: “Un: birthday Song” and “Re: birthday Song” (“ai Wo Utau Shinigami” and “koi Wo Utau Shinigami”)

Here is my sweety-fluffy Ame and Rikka! Oh, they are so delicate and refined characters. I love them!

I also studied a lot of symbolism, in particular "Hanakotoba" - this is the Japanese language of flowers. In addition, Shinigami Kareshi has a lot of hidden visual symbols! So many butterflies and owls - it was there for a reason =D In my art, I also tried to play with some symbolism.

Nothing complicated, but I can give hints below if someone fails to assemble the puzzle.

In some traditions, the owl is revered as the patron saint of the night and the messenger of the underworld, designed to escort souls to the kingdom of the dea.d.

In Japanese culture, a butterfly can represent a cycle of life and deat.h. Butterflies either carry the souls of the dea.d or represent them. Japanese poetry sometimes uses butterflies as a symbol of the soul of lovers who committed sui.cide together with each other.

Well, a little about "Hanakotoba"!

Eternity, according to the Japanese, was symbolized by a flower-star, maybe even fallen from the stars. This is aster.

White camellia means "Waiting"

“In falling, It spilled its water — The camellia flower.” Basho

Forget-me-not besides the obvious meaning, in "Hanakotoba" mean “True love”.

OTOME OF THE MONTH

This month’s otome is...

RE:BIRTHDAY SONG

Quick Summary:

In short, RE:Birthday song is about this young girl who enters the Netherlands with no recollection of her past and her regrets. From there you end up being partnered up with a boy in her special supplementary class and you both train to become Shinigami (Reapers).

My Thoughts:

Re:Birthday song isn’t one of those games you’re gonna finish in one day ( unless you try really hard ). I spent a few days playing all the routes and I’m the end I was more than satisfied. From the beginning of the game I had a feeling I knew what the true ending would be like, but instead this game took my thoughts and threw it up against the wall! It’s so much deeper than what you originally plan for!

My order of routes:

Kairi - Ame - Syun - Yoru - Nami

Favorite Route:

I’m gonna have to say Kairi, cause I BALLED FOR HOURS!!!

But Yoru and Nami are a close second for different reasons

Bonus Comments:

THE ART STYLE AND SOUNDTRACKS MAKES THIS GAME. ITS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING (The song “Re:Birthday Song” makes me want to cry out all my feelings)

Oh and did I mention this game is FULLY VOICED?!

If you haven’t given Re:Birthday Song a shot I highly recommend you do!
