Mike Wheeler Power AU

this has been on my mind for a while; i might try and write it myself-

Mike Wheeler who cant die, Mike Wheeler who can see and talk and interact with ghosts.

(Think like Klaus from the umbrella academy.)

Mike Wheeler who is #13 from Hawkins lab but never showed any powers outwardly so the lab gets rid of him via adoption, they figure he's too young to remember anything from the lab anyway, and if he's living in Hawkins they can monitor him just in case powers do pop up.

Except no powers pop up and at 13 they figure 'He's a normal kid with a very active imagination and no powers' and so they drop the surveillance and focus on El (self explanatory), and Will once back from the upside down and has more promise power wise the Mike ever did in their eyes.

Mike grows up adopted by the Wheelers who thought Karen, who was having fertility problems, wouldn't ever be able to give them a second child like they wanted (Holly was their miracle baby after Mike) They 'Love' him, provide for him, try to connect with him; but its hard; He's hard to connect with.

Mike has an 'overactive imagination' and new imaginary friends pop up each week, The Wheelers think he's being rude when he tells them his newest imaginary friend is a older man named Mr. Charlie; Karen tells him to stop making fun of their old neighbour's death. Mike was never aware he passed.

Mike always seems to know things he shouldn't, like how the late Mrs. Johnson had a drug problem or that Miss Read had passed away in her sleep before the general populace knew she was dead.

Ted tells Karen something is wrong with Mike; that maybe they were wrong to adopt. When Mike brings up his dead grandmother who Karen never talks about she agrees, They take him to a exorcist, they take him to church regularly and slowly Mike gets 'fixed'

Mike is 13 when he first figures out something about him isnt quite right.

When he jumps from the quarry El can't catch him and he falls. He finds himself in a barren white space with a tall women who takes him in her arms and promises everything will be alright. He wakes up on edge of the quarry, El and Dustin looming over him, Dustin crying and yelling and El giving him a look he cant quite decipher.

El 'saved' him, at least thats what Dustin thinks; in reality El brought what should have been his corpse back atop the quarry, and she is very confused as to how Mike survived.

El still disappears, and Mike is left alone with no one to help him figure out what's going on. He cant ask his parents, he doesn't trust or know how to contact Owens so he acts normal and focuses on Will. The quarry death incident is pushed to the back of his mind once he realizes something is wrong with Will and from there things progress like canon until he finds El with Hopper.

Mike still breaks down and gets mad at Hopper, then he's reunited with El.

(in my mind El and Mike don't really get involved romantically, when he's with her he's more focused on trying to figure out how the fuck he didn't die and who the lady in white space is.)

(I suppose you could imagine this with whatever romantic pairing for Mike you want, I prefer Byler; however you can imagine mileven if you want, you do you)

S2&3 progress similar to canon; Max & Billy show up, however Mike still plays D&D with Will and doesn't brush if off like he did in the show, its a good distraction from everything else.

Then things start going sideways with the mindflayer, Mike gets overwhelmed with how many people are being possessed; the mindflayer basically pushes the soul out of its body and suddenly Mike is seeing tons of souls that shouldn't be souls, He realizes something is really wrong when he sees double of Will & Billy (possessed body and wandering soul)

Mike can't really talk to the souls of the mindflayers victims till they die, thats kinda of when he realizes that the people he sees are ghosts.

Will & El move, Mike sends letters to El about his maybe powers, he doesn't send letters to Will trying to call daily instead, Joyces job holds up the line, he wont send letters to Will though, focused on trying to figure himself out, and he can never figure out how to write letters to Will well, they always end up too intimate (insert lettergate here lol)

Will & Mikes family assume he's dating El, He still joins hellfire and still plans to go to california. Max still pulls away, deals with Vecnas curse, Lucas & her are still broken up, Chrissy still dies in Eddies trailer starting the manhunt and Vecna arc.

However Vecna targets Mike first; noesbleeds, hallucinations, the whole nine yards. Mike flouts, his bones break and he dies.

Instead of the tall woman in whitespace Mike ends up having a flashback to the lab; he sees himself with El and 01 and the other numbers; #13 tattooed on pale white skin. He sees his adoption after the scientists determined he had no powers. He sees one of them burn the tattoo off him before he's adopted by the Wheelers.

He wakes up in a pool of his own blood knowing more about himself then he ever has, he understands himself better now.

Then he gets shipped off to California.

(This is a rough draft, this has also been eating away at my brain for the past few days. I will be writing more, and refining it. If you wanna use this to write something please do, then tag me, i wanna read it. Also expect more little bits from this AU. I have gotten very attached)

Hiya! I’ve recently started watching 87 tmnt (out of order, but so far haven’t run into any issues with that), and I was wondering if you had any specific episodes you’d recommend? Whether it’s because it’s got really good writing or it gives a good understanding of a specific character or it’s just generally enjoyable - whatever the reason may be, I’d be interested to hear. So far it’s been a really fun time and I’m excited to keep watching!

for a number of years i ran a very popular tumblr in the witchblr community and no, i will not tell you what it was called. it got way too dramatic for me and i bounced.

i have a dog named opal, she’s a bull terrier mix. she’s gonna be seven this year. she’s all white and i put doggy sunscreen on her in the summers and sweaters on her in the winter.

during covid i created a twitter game called bracketball and hosted it for a significant amount of time. there’s an intensive lore document and at some point i would like to remake it on a platform that isn’t twitter/x. there were characters like the ratking, the gnome colony, and the GREAT ANNIHILATOR.

every so often i get incredibly angsty and i write poetry based on different saints and, like, joan of arc, and haunted houses, which i guess is entirely on brand for me.

my bachelors degrees is in special education and my masters degree is in literacy, and i guess you could say that i’m kind of a big old nerd about reading and the processes of teaching people to read. i go back and forth on whether or not i want to get a doctorate lol. right now signs point to “no thanks i’m good”

i love cooking and food, even if all my food allergies mean that food doesn’t really like me haha. i try to post pictures of food i’ve made with the tag “cw food” uh because rise up arfid gang and i do love being tagged when other people make food because i’ve posted about making dinner

i think my friends would describe me as chaotic neutral and they’re probably right. i also resonate a gross amount with trickster archetypes but i do try to remember to have an emphasis on being kind and building community lol

my favorite three drinks are canada dry ginger ale in a can, unsweetened iced tea, and an iced americano with or without coconut milk lmao

Been a bit since my last proper post, and returning with another au.

Now showcasing : one of the first aus that started the spiral that would eventually be the 61 seri

A simple swap au [art by @savbugsnax] of a now happily ended group rp campaign.

This seris does not have a doctorate, money, or a social safety net. This man crawled onto the expedition boat and scampered off into the woods when found. While eventually becoming social enough to join town, he remains both reclusive and 'odd'.

He has a pet snaquiri who is named tipsy topsy, bound around his hip by a segment of camping rope.

This au is actually connected to a secondary au and one of my first horror aus for bugsnax. 'RATKING'.

Swap seris here goes too far during a late night binge on the beach, and finds himself falling apart while wrapped around by numerous ropes (all holding different snax), the struggle of the myriad treats trying to separate and pull apart leaves a snaksquatch like amalgam wandering the shore, covered in blue mold like furr and buzzing in a hive of multiple agonized broken shapes. Cracked glass, candy shards, ripped umbrella paper, and a half-voice rising from the harmony in the panicked chaos. 'Snnnaqiri-s' this rat King has never been properly depicted, but I think some of my more in depth writings do him justice.

Sanctuary

Built through materials and wishful knowledge I made a place where I'd feel free. An old asylum left to rot now, is a home for me. The ghosts I see here seem to enjoy the new doors to close and windows to open. I respect them by leaving some parts untouched by my hands. It's nice to have some paranormal company out there in the forest.

I yet wonder if I'm truly safe and free. Am I human? Is there a fine line I crossed to lose everything I knew.

I'm still the singer.

I still sing. Even now.

Through the pain.

The sorrowful grieving.

The madness I keep in a locked box where a ratking is held.

I'm such a fine line. I can't even explain my own thoughts to myself.

I've lost myself the moment I had died.

And all I can do still is sing. Sing a song of grieving, groveling in every lyric to which comes through with vengeance of rose's thorns. I bleed so I can write the song so he can hear.

He always loved my voice. I'd get praised for anything with my voice. No matter how elegant or grotesque I get him entranced. I can still feel the need to hear his praise.

Alas, he's gone. His memories specifically. I hold them and keep them warm so I can return them when he wishes. I check on the memories often. Tending them with love, care, and understanding.

I wish he'll return. It's not in my hands, it's all in his.

Been writing a verse to Sickfit which I most likely won’t keep but I find it surprising I’ve yet to hear anyone rap over that beat. Honestly it’s probably better that way.

Had a friend recommend this to me. They said they listened to it every morning as it’s basically just an album of affirmations over instrumentals. Not really my thing but I can see it being empowering for some.

8. Illmatic - Nas

Just felt nostalgic on the bus and had to revisit some songs. I’m not a hip hop scholar but I really don’t know many other rappers around that time that had multisyllabic rhymes as complex as Nas. “Life is parallel to Hell, but I must maintain And be prosperous, though we live dangerous Cops could just arrest me, blamin' us; we're held like hostages”.

Notice how he rhymes “prosperous”, “cops could just” and “hostages” while internally rhyming “dangerous” and blamin’ us”. Really cool stuff when you color code the rhyme scheme like that.

i spent hours and hours of my brainpower and life working on this today and holy shit everyone i think i COOKED. i created a bottom-up (thank u for reminding me of that term @ratking-usurper it really grounded and focused my thoughts on this) setting for my custom set that not only uses color pairs and color trios in interesting ways that id like to tentatively tout as never-before-seen in a set but furthermore successfully accomplishes my goal of at least thematically (if not mechanically!) de-emphasizing the allied color pairs and emphasizing the enemy color pairs. i think i fucking did it everyone i think i did so good. im not gonna share my notes yet because 1) theyre still cooking and im not done with some of the rough descriptions yet 2) im tired and literally have what seems to be approaching a migraine with how much thought ive put into this today (basically 12 hours of on and off work) and 3) i decided to write all this out in fucking. PAINT 3D like the dumbest yoshi ALIVE so i need to figure out how to put it into actual real text instead of a fucking .jpg on my computer. but just know i am proud as fuck of the interesting things ive been able to accomplish with the magic the gathering color pairs today

now that ive gotten a very very solid start on the custom mtg set by designing out with wren some interesting mechanics and color pair archetypes, i need to determine like, the flavor and place we're in here. we designed the theory and theme of the set (based around 5 keywords each given to the enemy color pairs, with the allied color pair archetypes kind of scrapped together with what the colors cared about, to create a set designed to showcase the enemy pairs at the forefront) but like. i need to design a world now or at least some basic ideas like where we are and who is here. and thats hard

More Power Mike AU

so this is a lose idea of how the party (+ others) find out Mike has powers.

El is the first to find out, she knows something is up when Mike is relatively unharmed after he jumps, Then Mike tells her about it straight up trying to get help from the only other powered person he knows.

Will, Jonathan & Argyle find out together in the van ride back to Hawkins; Mike gets shot and he dies in the back seat of the van after giving Will vague instructions not to bury him, Mike later comes too it while the cali crew is stopped to bury the agent and he explains.

Nancy is next to know, because Vecna knows and he torments her by torturing Mike repeatedly in the vision shes showed.

Max finds out next, or well, her ghost does. after Vecnas attack that lands her in the coma her soul can roam around and Mike sees her, She sees Mike. (Once she wakes up she still retains the knowledge that Mike sees dead people)

In my mind Lucas, Dustin and the others would have either been filled in by the Cali Crew mentioning how Mike died in the back of the pizza van; Or Argyle mentions it speaking directly to Mike in front of the rest. Or they find out in what would be season five, they'd be told right at the start, Maybe then El starts 'training' Mike, trying to awaken secondary powers like telekinesis and stuff.

My brain child isnt that developed yet, and im rewatching stranger things to try and cobble together a fair amount of canon stuff too.

The Ratking was full of its usual evening crowd. Not the only pub in Wellspring, but the only one that wasn’t yearning to be a restaurant, hadn’t yet given over its snooker tables and dart board to more dining space. Finch and Aaralyn had been there a few hours, wandering over in the early evening twilight to waste a night, all the while Finch loudly planned how they were going to hustle people at darts.  Wynn’s training had paid dividends in the strangest ways, but that good aim and eye went right out the window as his blood alcohol level rose.

“When I win, you want I should write my order down so you get it right this time?” Finch held the dart up, attention nowhere near the board. “Cause right now, I think I’m sitting pretty and bout to walk this fucker home.” He stuck his tongue out at her, as all good dart players would, a tried and true intimidation tactic, and, without a single glance back, loosed the dart.

It turned out the bellowing yell of a large sounding stranger, was a sobering sound. Finch froze up, wide eyes locked with Aara’s as his mouth tried to catch up to what had happened, eventually asking, “How bad is it?”

So, I’m sure by now, we all know that My Candy Love is coming to an end with Episode 15 of Love Life. Chino is ready to move on to her other projects, such as the one she’s working on with Rowan and Melinda... And, that’s okay. All things must come to an end at some point...

My Candy Love is her baby and her baby has grown a great deal in the past decade.... She has received a lot of hate because of what has happened with it, which was never excusable... Well, now it’s time to show her some love.

Which is why.... 04/18/21 through 04/24/21 will be celebrated as ChiNoMiko Appreciation Week!

Their dance was almost at it’s end.

She surprised herself trusting him more than she expected, but she had to admit, it was worth it. His step weren't as graceful as hers, but he would always lift her with respect and always at the right moment.

As the final movement, he lift her in the air , spin her slowly and low her so the point of her feet can finally touch the cold pavement. They both stay in the pose for a moment.

The Swan princess allowed herself to comment to the king his performance.

‘‘ Ok,So rats can dance after all.. Pas mal.’‘

The King looked turned his head to her. He grined

‘‘ Oh, but I am a being of many surprise, my lady.’‘
