And a parent mentioned ggey have to pick up their parcel in a lockdown where people are advosrd against gathering

The only reason these food parcels are being given out to kids on free school meals is to punish the poor.

Last lockdown, they got voucher codes, distributed via schools- so no overheads and no profit for anyone.

The government saw the chance to give poor families a kicking and help one of their mates profiteer at the same time.
