Jeeode (Geologica Gemonica) don't have a whole lot of biology to them. As you would hopefully imagine it's kind of difficult to come up with ideas for how a bunch of floating rocks with a face would scientifically function.

Firstly and because I don't know where else to put it the fleshy looking parts of their bodies like the hands and eyes feel as solid as their crystaline parts and are made of the same substance. It's able to move around like a Flum-ox's horns but it's still solid and it's really weird.

They grow by soaking in mineral rich underground streams and lakes, anything similar enough to their own mineral make-up will bond to their bodies.  Usually this causes some pretty asymmetrical growth so Jeeodes will commonly polish and trim themselves to a shape they are more happy with.

This doesn't cause them any harm as long as they don't damage their "core". The core of a Jeeode is this weird carbon rich rock that their more familiar crystal-y parts grow off of. It's most visible when they are very young. If it breaks at all they'll probably die which makes baby Jeeode very fragile and vulnerable

And for varients there's the weird ocular Jeeodes that have extra crystals that float around them that have eyes on them. Those come from small shards of their cores that broke off and miraculously were small enough to not kill the thing and now hover around the Jeeode. They also have two extra gems in their crowns right below gem number 4 and 5.

Then there are the much less weird horned Jeeodes which have only 3 gems in their crowns in the shape of large twisty horns. They also got extra eyes for some reason. (Please pay no attention to the varying line quality I was trying to remember how I did the style in that one rare Sneyser piece I did a while back because I somehow forgot how to do that)

Now you may be wondering "are there any Jeeodes that look like the epic Jeeodes from the game?" well the answer's yes, but in this situation all Jeeodes can have those unique traits they have. When a Jeeode breaks it causes the crystals that try to grow back in the broken place to be super uneven. And a majority of the large shards that are broken off will hover around the place they broke off from. Also any Jeeode can have the cool shark teeth they have. I sketched a common Jeeode with both these traits.

Jeeodes usually prefer to not be broken, especially their crowns. Those are their pride and joy and if there's not a good story as to how it happened it's usually considered a shameful thing to have a broken crown.
