Eivor hesitated once they were standing before the closed door but Randvi walked right for it, opening it and slipping inside. Eivor followed her, drawn like a moth to flame. 

Inside, the chamber was dimly lit, glowing warmly in the light of a fireplace and several scattered candles. Soma was sitting in a chair by the fire, reading a letter in one hand. She’d already shed her armor, now dressed only in a pair of dark linen pants and a blue shirt cuffed to the elbows. 

She looked up when they came in. “So both of you have come? I had hoped for as much. One of you would have sated my appetite, but I’d much prefer the pair of you.”

I'm just. I love Randvi so goddamn much because here she is, in love with her husband's sister, and Eivor takes her out on a "totally not a date" date in Taken for Granted, completely oblivious to Randvi's obvious feelings.

BUT in the context of their conversation going to the sunken tower, I'm thinking maybe Randvi had started off a little miserable. And I say this because Eivor's idea was to take Randvi (who is IN LOVE WITH EIVOR) to visit Eivors new bestie Soma (Which we know from that conversation that Randvi thinks they're a Thing™️). So like, okay here she is and the love of her life is begging to take her on a not-date to visit her fucking LOVER. No wonder it takes several tries to get Randvi to go.

THEN Soma isn't even there! And Randvi perks right up! They have a blast!

And it's not until that little conversation that Randvi gets confirmation that Eivor is indeed, not fucking Soma (which yeah okay I'm kinda sad about because Soma as a romanceable option would have been delightful). And she makes her move!

So, in conclusion, Eivor is fucking stupid and i love her SO fucking much. Also I'm tipsy

Everything Eivor did, she did for Sigurd, and he would not accept her. He offered nothing, he wanted nothing, yet nothing was good enough for him. Eivor knew she had to leave the settlement. Still, leaving Randvi behind felt worse than any act of defiance against her brother.
