Isn't this... what you wanted? Been a month so I thought it was about time I shared my page from @neondownpourzine the Rain Code zine! I pitched a chapter 4 mosaic because all the moving pieces in the location and the people there felt like a fun one to represent! A year later since I finished this game and I still really like it! Check out the zine if you can, it's a free download with lots of great content.

So, in the first image are the five main ancients of Chasing Wind.

From left to right:

Nine Howling Vessels, Silent Night. Head of the Maintenance Council.

Darkness Befallen, Ashes Remains. Constructor of Chasing Wind, Head of the Society Council.

Four Rising Suns, One Setting Moon. Leader of the Ancient Colony, the Grand Councilor.

Stains of Shadow Over A Realm's Sorrow. Chasing Wind's Administrator.

One Direct Goal, Infinite Curved Paths. Head of the Research Council.

They will be the ancients who have the most effect on Chasing Wind and the lore as a whole.

The elemental watched his friend work, trying to find some livable medium between disgust at the wounds he was introduced to and the obnoxious pulling on his soul that came from Gaster's magic. Every monster they worked on was in horrible shape, all of them too far gone for normal green magic to heal them - not until Gaster stabilized their souls.

ANOTHER reason you should read casting rain: god all the magic stuff is so cool. I'm eating all of CR's worldbuilding up

this IS based off* a specific scene where Grillby helps Gaster with healing monsters through Funky Magic stuff. you get no excerpt bcs I don't remember which chapter it was and if I tried to skim the ~40 chapters it could be I'd never go to bed today.

what inspired me to make it in a stained glass style was hua cheng's ashes cracking and his belief.

i dug around a little on stained glass, and medieval monks thought that blue was the closest color to black, and furthest away from god's light. i thought it would be a perfect scheme for a piece about hua cheng's feelings of failure.

he's in wu ming's outfit because the fic describes him in simple black servant's robes at one point. his eyepatch is bleeding for plot reasons, wu ming's mask is cracked and bloodied, and ruoye is ripped (there's a lot of broken things in this fic.)

i highly recommend the fic if you need a good dose of angst.
