The elemental watched his friend work, trying to find some livable medium between disgust at the wounds he was introduced to and the obnoxious pulling on his soul that came from Gaster's magic. Every monster they worked on was in horrible shape, all of them too far gone for normal green magic to heal them - not until Gaster stabilized their souls.

ANOTHER reason you should read casting rain: god all the magic stuff is so cool. I'm eating all of CR's worldbuilding up

this IS based off* a specific scene where Grillby helps Gaster with healing monsters through Funky Magic stuff. you get no excerpt bcs I don't remember which chapter it was and if I tried to skim the ~40 chapters it could be I'd never go to bed today.
