Seventh Presidency (3rd Provisional)

On June 6, 1876, General Ponciano Leiva Madrid,president of Honduras, capitulates in the town of Cedros, in favor of General José María Medina; therefore, he retains executive power in the months of June to July and August 1876 according to the Cedros Agreement, then the executive is handed over to Marcelino Mejía15and on June 13 he makes a formal surrender to Don Crescencio Gómez Valladares and retires to the city of Comayagua. José María Medina, wished that his friend Manuel Colindres Grádiz would be his successor in the presidency of the republic at the end of his term; Manuel Colindres Grádiz at that time served as Minister of his government. But Cresencio Gómez Valladares returns the presidency to José María Medina on August 12, 1876,in the course of that month José María Medina, receives a note from the Salvadoran president Dr. Rafael Zaldivar to recognize a new government headed by Dr. Marco Aurelio Soto,by this time, José María Medina was in the town of Gualcince, Erandique and issues a Decree on August 21 of that year, naming Dr. Marco Aurelio Soto as Provisional President of Honduras, then General José María Medina retired to the town of Gracias. The government presided over by Dr. Marco Aurelio Soto was inaugurated in parallel on August 27, 1876,on the island of Amapala,Marco Aurelio Soto had been pressured by Justo Rufino Barrios to return to Honduras, prior to knowing the succession plans of José María Medina

The Political Constitution of Honduras did not establish the re-election of the president, that is why General Medina, concludes his administration and insists on being re-elected; in this sense, Dr. Francisco Cruz Castro is appointed as provisional president, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and took office on August 12, 1869; Cruz was close to Medina and in his efforts was to issue the decree dated August 13, 1869, which reformed article 33 of the Constitution so that Medina returned to power.

" Agradezco a los señores Ángel Estévez, Mario Hidalgo y a Julio César Correa por todo su apoyo desde el día en le manifesté mi intenciones por aspirar a presidir Asobave ", dijo De la Cruz en el encuentro con los periodistas. The Thing:Artbook - Who all is in this thing??

So, who all is involved with “The Thing:Artbook” you ask? Well, I am here to give you an answer. Listed below is the list of all the artists who have a piece that is included in the book. Some of them have more than one, some produced more than one, but we had to make hard decisions about inclusion.

When we started out on this project, an idea conceived last year in May, and once we had secured the approval from Universal Studios to move ahead, we had hoped to make it a book with primarily comic industry folks because that’s who we knew. Once we started to reach out to folks with information about the project the response was so positive, we decided to branch out a little and include some illustrator friends and designer folks. Again, the response was so overwhelmingly positive we decided to invite whoever we thought we could get on board. Then, people started coming to us as word of the project began to spread. We were blown away and humbled by the caliber of talent who have agreed to be a part of this book.

We hope you will be pleasantly surprised and excited as you go through the list below and see the participants listed. You will probably have heard about many of them already, but hopefully there will be some surprises as well.

The “The Thing: Artbook” will go live for pre-sales Tuesday March 7th at  7pm est at the link below.

The book is expected to ship the first week of July 2017.
