Day 26 - A song by a local artist
30 days song challenge
Wow~ lokal artis mah dari day 1 juga udah sering di posting. Dari yg indie label juga major label.. Yg belom siapa aja yaaa..
Weits belom posting Efek Rumah Kaca ih! Aku pilih lagu ini aja, walapun liriknya beneran ttg kaum pelangi yg pov nya pst dari thn 2007 yg msh belom rame kek skrg. Secara keseluruhan aku gapaham jg sih ya pokonya lagunya ini enak pilunya dpt bgt. Entah knp aku hanya suka 2 album pertama ERK, self titled dan Kamar Gelap. Setelah itu aku ngga ngikutin bgt. Nonton live performnya udah sering jg ini. Selalu keren ERK!
Lagu ter deep dari album pertama Peterpan - Taman Langit. Ini vclipnya tiap aku nonton dpt bgt muka kerung depresinya Ariel.. Edan knp ini aku itut atit ati liatnya hahaha. Belom kalo sambil dengerin di radio pake walkman.. Ngga sedih jg jd sedih weeeh.
Barasuara! Ini band direkomenin sobi gigs ku dan pacarnya (skrg suaminya) soalnya mreka tau aku suka TTaTW. "my dengerin band baru Iga deh, Barasuara. Enak2". Tahun 2015 aku udah mengalami music paralysed, udah males denger lagu2 baru. Kecuali ini dan Bigbang Made 2016. Looohhhh iya album Taifun ko enak2 semua. Pertama kali denger lagu ini Bahas Bahasa.. Meriah bgt musiknya.. Suka! Lalu dengerin Sendu Melagu, Api dan Lentera, Menunggang Badai, Nyala Suara dll hampir 1 album enak semua haaaa.. Etapi ku ngga dengerin lagu2 mreka yg baru, cukup aja di Taifun..

libera associazione

Journalists with the publications Skhemi (from Radio Liberty) and Scanner Project have discovered two new Russian oil extraction companies linked to the family of Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
Between December 2022 and January 2023, Alexander Dontsov, director of the oil company NZNP Trade, headed two Russian oil extraction companies, INGT and KNK. Oksana Marchenko, Medvedchuk’s wife, controls NZNP Trade.
Both INGT and KNK are new companies, according to the journalists’ investigation. Neither has submitted any reports on its activities or disclosed where it will extract oil, since neither has yet received the necessary licenses.
The founder of INGT and KNK is joint-stock company GK Market, which does not disclose information about its ownership. It is known, however, that GK Market owns oil brokers ATI and Tradeproyekt, which in turn operate a network of gas stations in the Lipetsk, Tyumen, and Kurgan regions.
In studying GK Market’s 2022 transactions, researchers discovered people connected to the Medvedchuk family’s businesses, namely Timur Abertasov and Nikolay Sukhov, among the company’s shareholders.
Skhema and Scanner Project note that the expansion of the Medvedchuk family’s oil business coincides with Viktor Medvedchuk’s announcement of a new political movement, which he spoke about on Russian state propaganda television channel RT in late January 2023. The new movement, according to Medvedchuk, will “debunk the idea that Ukraine is a monolith in its own views and in its alleged support for [President Volodymyr] Zelensky and his criminal regime.”

3GPP and non-3GPP
The world of mobile communications is governed by standards and specifications that ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability among devices and networks. In this context, 3GPP and non-3GPP are two important terms often encountered in the telecommunication industry.
3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) 3GPP is a collaboration between several telecommunications standards organizations, including ETSI, ARIB, TTC, CCSA, ATIS, and TTA. Established in 1998, this partnership aims to develop globally applicable technical specifications for 3rd generation (3G) and subsequent generations of mobile systems, including 4G, 5G, and future standards. The 3GPP specifications cover various aspects of mobile networks, such as radio access, core network, and services. Some well-known technologies developed by 3GPP include GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G. The primary goal of 3GPP is to provide consistent and compatible mobile communication standards worldwide.
Non-3GPP Non-3GPP refers to technologies and standards not defined by the 3GPP organization but still play a significant role in the mobile ecosystem. These technologies often complement 3GPP specifications or address specific use cases and requirements. Some examples of non-3GPP technologies include Wi-Fi, WiMAX, CDMA2000, and proprietary mobile network solutions developed by individual companies.
Non-3GPP technologies can be integrated with 3GPP-based systems to provide enhanced services or cover scenarios not directly addressed by the 3GPP standards. In many cases, mobile network operators deploy a mix of 3GPP and non-3GPP technologies to offer a versatile and comprehensive network infrastructure.
In conclusion, 3GPP and non-3GPP technologies serve as the building blocks of modern mobile networks. While 3GPP focuses on developing global standards for mobile communication, non-3GPP complements these standards with additional solutions and innovations that cater to specific needs and requirements. Together, they enable a diverse and interconnected mobile communication landscape.

Voices of Resilience: Filipino Broadcasters in Bangkok & the Legacy of RA 8042
The sun rises over Bangkok, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. Amidst the bustling city, a community of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) stirs, preparing for another day. Among them are Filipino broadcasters, their voices bridging the gap between home and their current reality, keeping the spirit of the Philippines alive in a foreign land. These broadcasters, like millions of other OFWs across the globe, embody a complex narrative of sacrifice, resilience, and the enduring connection to their homeland. They strive to preserve Filipino traditions, celebrating festivals and holidays, clinging to the familiar comfort of their culture while navigating the challenges of living and working abroad.
This vibrant community reflects a broader phenomenon that has shaped the Philippines for decades: the exodus of its citizens seeking better opportunities overseas. The Migrant Workers Act of 1995, officially known as Republic Act 8042, stands as a landmark piece of legislation aimed at protecting the rights and welfare of these workers. Enacted on June 7, 1995, and implemented shortly thereafter, the Act sought to address the growing concerns surrounding the exploitation and abuse of OFWs. It mandated government agencies to provide pre-departure orientation seminars, facilitate legal assistance, and establish mechanisms for the repatriation of distressed workers. The Act also aimed to regulate recruitment agencies, holding them accountable for ethical practices and preventing illegal recruitment.
However, despite the existence of the Migrant Workers Act, the journey of an OFW is often fraught with challenges. The pursuit of a better life frequently comes at a steep price. The stories of exploitation and human rights violations continue to emerge, casting a dark shadow over the narrative of overseas employment. These stories range from unfair labor practices and withheld wages to physical and emotional abuse, and even human trafficking.
For Filipino broadcasters in Bangkok, the experience is multifaceted. They play a crucial role in connecting the Filipino community, disseminating news from home, and providing entertainment that resonates with their shared cultural heritage. They organize events, host radio programs, and utilize social media platforms to create a sense of belonging for Filipinos living far from home. They become the voice of their community, highlighting their successes, amplifying their concerns, and advocating for their rights.
The celebration of Filipino traditions in Bangkok offers a glimpse into the resilience of their culture. From the vibrant festivities of Sinulog and Ati-Atihan to the solemn observance of Holy Week, OFWs recreate the familiar rituals and customs that bind them to their roots. These celebrations become more than just festive occasions; they are a testament to their enduring connection to the Philippines, a way of preserving their identity in a foreign land. Food plays a significant role, with gatherings centered around traditional dishes like adobo, sinigang, and lechon, evoking memories of home and family.
Yet, beneath the surface of these celebrations, the realities of working abroad persist. The pressure to provide for families back home often leads OFWs to accept jobs with unfavorable conditions. The fear of losing their employment can make them hesitant to report abuse or exploitation. Language barriers and cultural differences can further complicate their situation, making it difficult to navigate the legal system or access support services.
The Migrant Workers Act of 1995, while a significant step forward, has faced challenges in its implementation. Limited resources, bureaucratic hurdles, and the sheer scale of overseas Filipino migration have hampered its effectiveness in fully protecting OFWs. The lack of stringent enforcement mechanisms and the prevalence of illegal recruitment practices continue to expose vulnerable workers to exploitation.
The internet, while providing a platform for connection and information, can also be a breeding ground for misinformation and scams targeting OFWs. The promise of high-paying jobs and easy visa processing can lure unsuspecting individuals into precarious situations. Therefore, resources like OFWJobs.org (https://www.ofwjobs.org/) play a vital role in providing accurate information and connecting OFWs with legitimate employment opportunities.
The stories of exploitation are diverse and heartbreaking. Domestic workers face the risk of being confined to their employers' homes, subjected to long working hours, and denied basic human rights. Construction workers often toil in hazardous conditions with inadequate safety measures. Seafarers can be stranded at sea for months without proper compensation. These are just a few examples of the vulnerabilities faced by OFWs in various sectors.
The fight against exploitation requires a multi-pronged approach. Strengthening the implementation of the Migrant Workers Act, enhancing pre-departure orientation programs, and providing accessible legal assistance are crucial steps. International cooperation and bilateral agreements between the Philippines and host countries can also play a significant role in protecting OFWs. Raising awareness among OFWs about their rights and providing them with the tools to report abuse are equally important.
The role of Filipino broadcasters in this fight cannot be overstated. They can use their platforms to educate their community about their rights, share information about available resources, and amplify the voices of those who have experienced exploitation. They can create a space for dialogue and advocacy, fostering a sense of empowerment among OFWs.
The story of OFWs is a complex tapestry woven with threads of sacrifice, resilience, and hope. It is a story of individuals who leave their families and their homeland in pursuit of a better future, often facing immense challenges and hardships along the way. It is a story that highlights the need for stronger protections, stricter enforcement of existing laws, and greater international cooperation to ensure that the rights and dignity of these modern-day heroes are upheld. The celebration of Filipino traditions overseas is a powerful expression of their identity and a reminder of the strong bond that connects them to their homeland. It is a beacon of hope, reminding them of what they are working for and what they are fighting to protect. As the sun sets over Bangkok, the voices of Filipino broadcasters continue to resonate, carrying the stories of their community, their struggles, and their enduring spirit across the airwaves, reminding everyone that the fight for fair treatment and just compensation continues.

New pic 💯💯💯💯
For Radio Times !!
New article soon to come !!
Thanks to my friend Isademrio ATI (Aidan Turner International on Facebook)
Here is below the written transcription of the second article, published yesterday, from the Total Film magazine.
Thanks to Emma Jones 🙏👍🌺
Total Film - October 2024
When Teasers visits the set of Rivals in Bristol, there’s no question who the real star is. While we may have just watched Aidan Turner and David Tennant (as gimlet-eyed TV journalist Declan O’Hara and his ambitious, unscrupulous boss Lord Tony Baddingham) sweep in to 1987’s British Television Awards, and await appearances from Danny Dyer, Katherine Parkinson and Alex Hassell, a slight 86-year-old is inside, pretending to eat dinner.
‘It was lovely,’ Jilly Cooper tells us afterwards, enthusing about her cameo. ‘They curled my hair beautifully!’
The queen of the bonkbuster couldn’t be more thrilled with Disney+’s eight-part adaptation of her 1988 novel. ‘They’ve cast gorgeous people of both sexes!’ she beams. ‘It does feel like a period piece to me, because it has lots of macho men who are allowed to be real men. As an executive producer, I can see how much trouble they’re taking with it. They’ve looked after the plot, although occasionally they’ll change things and I’ll have a bit of a sulk. But when it appears on the screen, it’s brilliant.’
Rivals certainly sets its stall out from the first shot, buttocks thrusting in a Concorde toilet and Robert Palmer’s Addicted to Love grinding away on the soundtrack. The pace barely relents as the rakish Rupert Campbell-Black (Hassell) cuts a swathe through the society women of the Cotswolds and locks horns with Baddingham over the future of the latter’s television company. Rupert’s friend, novelist Lizzie Vereker (Katherine Parkinson), is also on hand to cut him down to size, while herself enjoying some extramarital excitement with Dyer’s self-made millionaire. In short, plenty of sex, stilettos and a salon’s worth of bubble perms and mullets. But also some salutary lessons.
‘I hope it cheers everyone up,’ agrees Cooper. ‘But I also think it’ll make people realise that integrity is important. There’s not enough of it about these days.’
Gabriel Tate
Aidan Turner (words from the journalist Gabriel Tate, not from Aidan)
Who is Declan O’Hara?
He’s a journalist with a wife and a couple of kids. They’ve had to leave London for the Cotswolds, although we’re not initially sure why, and it coincides with an o fer he’s received to leave the BBC and work for Tony Baddingham’s TV company. He’s a workaholic and impetuous – he generally thinks with his pen irst, ists a very quick second.
We have to talk about Declan’s moustache…
It makes a real statement, doesn’t it? You can hide behind a beard, whereas this Tom Selleck thing puts you front and centre. Weirdly, I looked very like my dad did back in the 1980s.
Why did Rivals appeal?
Jilly is brilliant at writing characters and, while it is wickedly funny, we cover some very serious themes as well, asking what sort of behaviour is acceptable today and what have we thrown in the bin.
Was filming as much fun as it looked?
It really was. There was one dinner-party scene where, the previous night, our entire cast had had a party. A lot of people were probably playing drunk for real that day – lots of sunglasses and dark shadows under eyes. Although I felt awful, witnessing other people’s pain was hilarious…

“You take things so seriously, I’m just teasing you. I know you didn’t lay the egg, I’m not an idiot.” A smile pulls onto his lips and he leans on the table, folding his arms in front of him and nudging the plate away a bit. He would like for Alastor to get along with Aty, but he understood too as the one who brought that egg to life it was his responsibility and not Alastor’s. He told him to crack the eggs, Michael took it the wrong way. He doesn’t enjoy harming birds, alive or not. They were one of his favorite things.
He had heard Alastor’s remark about coffee, but he didn’t understand that the other was declining tea. He had thought he was just stating what he preferred over tea, but would accept drinking it anyway. Michael would have gladly made him coffee if he had asked for it, Michael loved coffee himself and tended to drink it at night to keep himself awake. To escape the nightmares when they wanted to consume him.
The mention of the food has his gaze briefly darting down toward it, taking in the hard work that the Radio Demon had made for him and the smile tightens a little bit. “I do not lie, lying is a sin. I might not answer you directly, or answer at all if I do not wish to, but I won’t lie especially over food. It is good, you’re a wonderful cook, and the flavor is unique. Unfortunately, my pallet is perhaps a bit… more bland compared to your very ranged one. What I can tolerate easily is much less than what you yourself seems capable of handling. I do apologize for that.”
Thankfully, he does require much food and what he had already eaten from what Alastor made was more than enough for him. So he shakes his head at the offer of fruit and nudges his plate toward Alastor to eat if he so desired. Did he have a bottomless stomach? Was that part of his sin of gluttony?
“I do appreciate you cooking for me though, thank you.”
"I did not lay any egg. It came from the store."
As if he needed to clarify. Did he look like an egg-laying creature? Honestly. While he had no true intent to consume the blasted chicken, he did not think he could harbor much affection for the thing. (Though... one never truly knew. If anything, he may be able to be relatively tolerant, as he was to the strange hotel cat, KeeKee, but he'd not told anyone about that thus far.)
Alastor continued to nurse his own food until the other returned with tea - after he'd rather specifically said that he was much more the coffee appreciator, but he supposed that fell on deaf ears. But it would not do to turn his nose up at it. He'd tolerated tea at Rosie's at least a dozen times per annum, if not more, and always it managed to be at least marginally okay.
Just not as good as coffee.
So he would take the tea offered and sip at it, saying nothing on the taste or whether or not he liked or enjoyed it. Just a small murmur of a 'thank you' given in between drinks and bites - trying his utmost to maintain his manners despite his hunger always keening loudly when he finally had food in front of him. Though Michael's attempt at describing the dish, though Alastor might have taken offense from anyone else, was met with a small smirk and a light huff of amusement.
"You don't have to lie," he said. "It is a lot by many standards. Safe, still, by mine. But you and I are not the same."
His head nodded in the direction of the fridge -
"There are fruits in there. If that is safer for you. I can finish what you do not."
Alastor would certainly not let the food go to waste, at any rate.
