Makeup roundup and general life update: Long Post.

Today I ran a bunch of errands, including picking up my new ADHD med, Strattera. I’m really nervous about starting it but I really want something that will help. I’m in actual hell.

In between the errands, I swung by Sephora and Ulta for my free birthday month shit (after sterilizing my mask and drenching myself in sanitizer).

I'm doing this on mobile and I can't insert a readmore, so please skip this if you're not interested in skincare or makeup.

Actually, I’m gonna get on my computer. This is long and no one wants to read it.

I won't say which of the five stores of each that surround me I went to, because I don't wanna get anyone in trouble.

Anyway, here's the total haul.

Upper right corner is the Milk Makeup birthday set from Sephora. Comes with a mini Kush Mascara, which I've been wanting to try anyway; a lip+cheek stick that is the perfect Natural Look shade; and a sample of the Milk Hydro base primer.

I have several friends amongst the Sephora staff in the area (and the Ultas). I don't make these friendships to take advantage of stuff! I just enjoy talking makeup, and the ladies at both stores have helped me, and I've helped them, with stuff that has nothing to do with makeup. A lot of us are friends on FB and keep in touch. Friends, closer than acquaintances but not close friends. You know?

Well, one of the ladies was working at Sephora and gave me a bag of goodies they were giving everyone who applied for a JC Penny card. Those are most of the samples!

Bottom left yellow packets: shampoo and conditioner set with an included body wash from SOL DE JANEIRA. It looks fancy and as soon as I get this RV shit taken care of, I'mma use them in a fancy spa day for myself. Anyway, above those is a perfume sample from the same company - a little sweeter than I tend to go for, but pleasant as hell on my wrists. Long-lasting as well; I put it on over twelve hours ago, not heavily at all, and I still smell it pretty well. The name of the perfume is Cheirosa '62.

Next to that is a little white tube. It's a hair mask! Which I've been desperately needing bc I regularly lighten my hair. So I'm excited! Spa day, here I come. The brand is Briogeo and is called Don't Despair, Repair! I have short hair so this'll probably last me a while.

Next to that tube is a white packet. It's a TLC Happi Scalp scalp scrub, to be used before the hair mask. It claims to exfoliate the scalp (which like. I never really thought about before but probably does need to be done!). Also a spa day item.

Above that is styling cream from Living Proof. I don't know that my hair is long enough for that, and I usually use water wax, but uh. We shall see.

Above that is a spray bottle! It's a heat and UV protectant for hair by Bumble and Bumble, which is a fantastic brand. I'll be happy to use that once I've gotten my hair back into shape!

My friend had a tub of stuff they were discontinuing and weren't in inventory, so she also gave me two products: a mini white marker liquid eyeliner by Sephora (which I'm already in love with for lining my lower water line) and a lipliner in LUV from Kat Von D. I guess these are all either getting clearanced out or tosser, although I assume employees get first dibs. Anyway, I don't buy KVD anymore now that we all know she's a massive antisemite but I'll take it. I'm gonna use what products of hers that I have (not a whole lot outside of lipsticks, tbh) and when they're gone, they're gone. Anyway, freebies! They also had Fenty lipsticks on sale, but they weren't liquid lipsticks (my fave) so I didn't buy any. Limited to nonexistent funds. 🤷 (I love my little gender neutral shrug emoji).

Now on to Ulta. Their clearance section is being way more maintained now, which is nice! Wish it hadn't taken a pandemic, but hey. Lots of good stuff out, especially if you're a person of color. Go snag some good foundation for cheap! A few smaller, but good, palettes. A BUNCH of Black Widow shit, which I am not willing to pay that much for even on clearance (seriously nine dollars for a tiny eyeshadow brush). But they've also got some good buy one, get one sales on most brands, and a $3.50 off coupon on their website.

The tub of Righteous Butter from Soap and Glory I paid for. $4 well worth it - my elbows and shoulders have gotten all dry from this summer and they're hurting! I actually went in planning to get a Soap and Glory moisturizer of some sort - their Hand Food is the best lotion ever, and this is the same line. My elbows already feel better.

The tube next to it is my birthday gift from Ulta. Lil disappointed that all we got is the mini sunscreen primer from Lancome, but it's whatever. I spied some stuff I wanna get when I get back on my feet, too - I'm going on a makeup purge here soon and I'll need to replenish. I have too much fucking makeup and skincare shit, Jesus.

Anyway. Ulta and Walmart (and to a lesser degree, Sephora) all have darker skin shades of foundation and concealer on clearance (I assume it varies by location) so go check that out, cuz you can get a decent foundation for hella cheap.

Anyway. If you're a September baby this is your chance. I'm looking forward to a little bit of self-care; the bath tub in our suite is amazing, so I'll do the whole shebang - soaking with bubble bath and Epsom salts, face and scalp exfoliation, all-over fancy moisturizers, candles, music, fluffy towels, a nice clean robe... Yeah. I'll do that maybe next weekend. It'll be fun. I may even apply makeup after, something I haven't done in over a year (outside of the occasional mascara and lipstick). 

But before I can do that I need to:

Sell the fucking RV. Which entails re-mounting the TV (and finding the hardware for that), charging the battery up, and finishing the vacuuming. And making idiots understand that the thing starts and runs but isn’t a long-haul vehicle at the moment.

Pay my rent and my mom back.

Get caught up on ALL the bills.

If enough, buy plane ticket to go help Keri.

Buy these absolutely ridiculous and awful shoes because they're hideous and I need them. Plus I am out of just... Shoes I can wear around, so I’ll probably hit payless or something. 

Other things I need: reusable pads, printer ink, fixing my brakes, a fucking small futon for the “living room” area of our suite, etc. (And... If I have enough left over... a gun. I'm terrified, y'all. Raven is gonna train me on how to use it safely and I'm getting a biometric safe for it).

Mount my TV on the wall.

Finish my period. C'mon uterus, get with the program.

Go through every single possession I own and Marie Kondo the shit out of it. We rented a big dumpster to clear out the yard, but this is an ideal time to throw my unnecessary shit out. This includes my makeup purge. I'm gonna try for five or six boxes a day. I have a lot of like, medium boxes to sort through.

Organize the "keepsies” possessions into the spaces they go. Donate or throw out (as the case may be) all of the leftover shit.

Clean the room, office, and bathroom.

Do Major laundry.

If I was able to get a plane ticket, pack. It's gonna be a doozy, as I'll be gone a week. I don’t even own luggage, ever since the TSA broke my suitcase two years ago when I came home from Alyssa’s wedding.

Celebrate? My birthday? Maybe?

PREPARE FOR ASHLEY'S HOMECOMING FROM PRISON! Her parole date is the 17th of October! So we need to get her room and bathroom cleaned out.

Raven can help with a lot of this, of course. But it's still a little overwhelming. Now that I've made a list it seems way more manageable. Still overwhelming! But. Manageable. After that I can do my spa day. And then probably head to the airport, lol.

Oh! I need a like 30 foot cat6 cable. Do not forget, self! We need this to START STREAMING AGAIN! Also maybe a Blue Yeti. IDK. It would make our whole setup easier.

I want to be streaming again by the time Ashley comes back! We’re gonna test recording some Lets Plays too. I just got the FF8 remaster as a birthday gift (I need to re-acquire FFX’s remaster at some point), and I’m thinking that might be fun to do because the remaster itself is good but FF8 is very Ridiculous. What do y’all think? Those that made it this far?

Dionysus is kind of a wildcard pick--I was wavering between putting SUGA’s Interlude, or Give It To Me, or something more... well, Suga-related in general bc I love the MV BTS dropped on Friday. But if Boy With Luv was the song that got me interested in BTS, then Dionysus was the song that got me hooked on them. It’s so HYPE. The rapline goes OFF! I love it. I watch performance videos of it all the time because it’s my favorite. It’s named after DIONYSUS it mentions a thyrus like how can you not like this song

Feel the Shake is this season’s goal song for the Flyers. That’s why it’s here. We beat the Washington Capitals--I’m feelin’ the shake. Onto the Bruins tomorrow!!

Doop is the Flyers’ fandom’s PREFERRED goal song. It’s so obnoxious. I love it. I like to put it on randomly when Darren’s also in the room. Never fails to make him laugh.

Girl i know its hard to go agaisnt the general public but please dont put so much energy on discourse about millionaires and their market strategies. “so much energy” it was just a general observation, its not like it took a lot of effort. listen, im interested in how the music market works (the global one as well as the kpop market) and “sales and charts dont matter” is an incorrect statement. they matter to the company. im also a reveluv and seeing how much money sm is able to invest in groups compared to the effort they’re putting into rv bothers me a little bit. you do realize that ppl could lose their jobs bc of a bad investment right? sm is already struggling bc they’ve made many bad investment choices the past few years. of course im here for the music but i also care abt the business behind it. if that’s not what ur interested in then that’s fine, you do you, but im gonna do my own thing on my account.

ok so i was driving my brothers car and i have my g1 i went to money mart and back home about an hour later police came knocking on my door asking if my brother was in a car accident so we went down to the station and the officer asked if i was driving his car i said yes , he then said that the other man that was sitting in the station got my plates and said i hit his car and cracked his bumper (very minor crack) so i said no and then officer assumed i was lying and made me write up an accident report. after when i was leaving the station the other guy asked if we could solving this without going through insurance so we exchanged numbers (their was no damage at all to my brothers car & no paint or anything on their car to prove i hit it) the next day they called and said the want a whole new bumper they dont want it patched up and they would get me a price quote they then got me a quote for $1475 for a while new bumper from ford i told them im not paying that much the only way im replacing the bumper is if my mechanic does it he said ok so i went to my mechanic told him the whole situation and he said i shouldnt be replacing the whole bumper for somthing that small but he still ordered the bumper for me i had to put a $400 down payment for the bumper and $300 after its put on. the bumper came in 2 days later and they brought their car for it to be put on when we got there they got pissed off and said this isnt a bumper straight from ford and they dont want it and left ( the bumper was brand new for the same model car and had the exact paint coat match just that it wasnt from ford) they then call me threating to take it through insurance if we dont get it from ford so i lost the $400 down payment for the bumper because they cant return it after its painted so i told my mechanic to order it from ford. but when he called for they said the dont have bumpers for that model anymore, i then call the people back and told them to take it through insurance because my mechanic cant get that bumper. So what will happen to my brothers insurance hes under 25 with his g2, and i had my g1 but it was on private property where they said the incident occurred the officer even said he cant charged me because its private property PLEASE HELP!""
