OMG ANOTHER EARLY SEASONS TRUTHER thats exactly why i love them the show felt so fun and young and not old and tired

i still love seasons 4-8 but 1-3 are my favorites (i barely watch anything afterwards. late 2000s-modern south park just tends to bore me or feels depressing most of the time but there are definitely exceptions) i still watch the new stuff but i dont really rewatch it usually

i thought this season STARTED great but kinda fell off after like episode 2 (i did like the last 2 more though) the ai episode was astronomically boring to me fsr

anyway apologies for this little rant but i am just happy to finally find someone with similar thoughts as me

I'm such an earlier seasons type of guy. The second chef stopped having an important role in the series everything went dark. 1 to 3 is really just the golden era of SP episodes and yet so many people skip them (just like they skip rpdr season 1 to 3 even tho season 3 is the most iconic in the franchise,,,really makes you think 💔💔). The newer seasons are literally just Trey's projection diary where every character is Trey Jr. Honestly I'm guessing that's why PC doesn't get a lot of screen time anymore, cuz he's an actual good dad and partner and God forbid a male character not hate and despise his wife and kids.

I need more people to discuss SP with like in a socratic circle.

‼️‼️ RPDR AS9 FINALE SPOILERS ‼️‼️

AS9 top 3 and finale result gotta be one of the weirdest things ever like what the hell happened?!??

Jorgeous, Plastique, and Shannel had the best talent show performances of the night so they should've been top 2 for that challenge. Nothing can convince me that Angeria and Vanjie had the best talent showings especially not when Jorgeous did that gaggy stunt at the end of her number and Shannel juggled knives and balanced a box on her chin!

But fine! I can accept some slight riggory to get Angeria to the finale because she did do very well throughout the season. But Vanjie? When she only had 1 challenge win? Choices! But sure, whatever!

Lipsync for the crown happens. Angeria does fine, Vanjie was great, but Roxxxy did the best. Point blank period.

So, just so we're clear, Roxxxy did the best all season, won the most challenges (along with Plastique), had the most badges, gave us some the best lipsyncs of the season, and in the finale (where it matters most) once again gave us a great lipsync for the crown. And yet... she loses? To the queen who gave us the weakest lipsync for the crown? In what world does this make sense to anybody? I've actually just about had it with this show.

HELLO!!! YES! i feel like a fake saying this now but i started watching all the seasons semi-recently so i haven’t finished them all :(

i’m on season 8 now, but from 1 to 7 1/2, i would say 4! i loved latrice royale!!

and of course an honorable mention for season 7 with katya and trixie!

as the biggest rpdr fan i follow, are there any seasons you would recommend to someone who's never watched any before? I really want to start watching but i'm not sure which season to start with since the first season of reality shows usually aren't great :))

OOOHHH okay, seasons 4, 5, and 6 are regarded as the golden age of the show, and for good reason. It's peak reality tv trash with amazing drag and really heartfelt moments. But those seasons came out in the early 2010s, so it hasn't aged all that well regarding tr4nsphobia and f4tphobia. (Roopul didn't allow openly trans contestants on the show until like season 13, tho past contestants who transitioned were allowed on all stars before that)

So if you're looking for a tamer season to start with, season 8 and 9 is a pretty good introduction. I started watching right before All Stars 3 aired, tho All Stars 2 was the first season I watched in full. I was able to enjoy it a lot without having seen the previous seasons yet. Season 12 is another great season (despite the disqualified contestant).

Regarding international seasons, drag race UK seasons 1 and 2 are very good!!! You don't need to have seen the US version to get into it. The Thailand and Philippines international seasons are also great, as are the first two seasons of the España series.

Sorry I don't have a definite answer, but any of the above seasons are good places to start!
